I came in earlier today to for an online pickup order and as soon as I walked in, Denford asked how he could help. He was lightening fast, super down to earth and made my pickup a breeze. I received excellent service purchasing and setting up a new PC ahead of the Windows 11 deadline. The first PC I bought had a technical (probably hardware) problem after the initial setup. They did their best to resolve the problem, but the better option was to return it and exchange it for a different model. I had no difficulty in making the exchange through customer service. Bought a whirlpool refrigerator last year and it's already broken down. Geek squad takes a week to schedule a technician to come and look at it and then another week to repair. After the repair refrigerator still did not work and took another 5 days for technician to come back and now another week to repair the same issue. This is a major home appliance not a toaster oven. Had to spend more money to buy a mini fridge just to keep milk and other basic food items. Ridiculous. read more

I would avoid this store at all cost. Unless you like being treated like shit and physical assaulted by a store manager. The manager's at this store name is Delon Thompson and he is very rude and aggressive to customers whom are trying to spend money in the store. Customers should never be treated like how Delon Thompson treats customers, especially repeat customers and customers who've spent extra bestbuy memberships like total tech. - My first incident with this store manage he wouldn't sell me ps5 console when they were sitting there behind the counter instock. So I proceeded to take my phone out and take a picture of his name tag. He assaults me and swats my phone out my hand onto the counter... When I'm legally allowed to take picture of him or his nametag, as bestbuy is a public store. My second incident I came back to the store a few weeks later to try to purchase an item. Delon sees me talking to another employee at the register and comes bolting over and says weren't you the guy trying to take pictures of me, and says yeah we can't sell to you get out of here. This is highly inappropriate behavior for any general manager or store employee. Delon needs to be fired or reprimanded or maybe re-educated. read more

Great customer service experience today in Best Buy. Bought a new apple device and wanted to transfer data from old device. We didn't have a Geek Squad appointment, but because we were willing to wait a bit and let them work it out, the staff found a way to accommodate us without having us "cut the line" in front of people who had appointments. Every person we interacted with, from the greeter to the sales floor to Geek Squad, to checkout was polite, articulate, knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience! read more

Beware of Best Buy's policies. Someone can get your credit card number and name, place an order online and go to the store with no identification and just pick up merchandise without Best Buy even checking on this fraudulent transaction. Even if you catch this fraud going on immediately and report it to your bank Best Buy denies the claim and says it was ordered online and picked up by a friend with no proof of identity? WTH they just are ignorant to fraud and don't care about what happens to the innocent victims when they have enabled a crook to steal from their hard earned money. Ok so I've been buying from the Baldwin Best Buy for many years now. So I would like to take this time to Thank everyone that helped me out. The managers and staff that took the time to listen to me. They went above and beyond to make sure we got another refrigerator as soon as possible. We were out of a refrigerator for almost a month.. it was unacceptable specially during this pandemic. We were trying to buy a new beautiful refrigerator from them. But they were all not available or on back order. They were able to find one in the store and we were able to do the switch.they are truly amazing. I would recommend you to go to this store where they will really treat you like a respected client. The staff is so rude and unprofessional. I walked in to pick up an order, there was no one assisting me, instead there were flirting with each other. After one of the associates told them that I was here for an online order, they started talking rude, and giving me an attitude. I showed them the confirmation order and my id (as an added user to pick up my mom's order) and they denied it and said that I couldn't get it. Something hit me today at 5-00am. I drove past Best Buy for Black Friday as the stores were set to open at 5am. I got there at 4:30am and sat there till the doors opened. NOT ONE CUSTOMER online! When going to Best Buy I do have two favorite stores, Valley Stream and Levittown, which have the best Customer service, but today I went to Baldwin Best Buy and was extremely satisfied with the service I received today. Craig was extremely patient and knowledgeable and I had a never ending list of questions, not only was Craig able to answer them he was able to do so in depth while being extremely pleasant, even with a few other patrons waiting for his assistance. Upon ringing up, we had a price match and Craig called over Malik who was also very personable and had further insight in our choice with an extra few pieces of advice, which I deem to be very helpful when my item finally arrives. These two in the Television/audio department are a one two punch and Best Buy should definitely take notice to their professionalism, knowledge, patience and great customer interaction/satisfaction. They installed a 50 inch tv and I asked them to hook up my daughters Wii to the new tv, which they did and the guy used putty to stick the tv onto my new tv stand . Yesterday after days of research, I decided to pull the trigger on a pair of Bowers & Wilkins PX7 wireless over the ear headphones . I checked the Baldwin store and saw that they had them in stock so I placed an online order with curbside pick-up. Half hour later I got my confirmation and since I had a few stops to make I got to the store at around 4:30. I checked my app and it showed that the order wasn't ready so I got a bite to eat and at 5:00 I decided to go into the store. After checking my order number I was told that the item was not in stock in any of the 3 color choices. I was a bit heated but realized it wouldn't do any good to raise hell so I cancelled the order and left. This morning I decided to call BestBuy to see if the headphones were in stock at any other store. I was told by the person on the phone that Baldwin had two in stock and I could place an online order, I declined. I called BB's main number and asked about the availability. I was told that they have do have the B&W PX7's in stock . I've had issues with this particular BB twice before so I'm going to order directly from Bowers & Wilkins, the price is the same as BB and they also offer free shipping. read more

I was delighted to see Best Buy open its doors in Baldwin. It's my one-stop shop for electronics, video games, and other gadgets. The staff are friendly and generally helpful. One note: if you're going to buy a major appliance, then place your order in-store. I made the mistake of purchasing a high-end washer and dryer online and ran into some problems with delivery logistics. The reason for my one star is because I went into Best Buy in Baldwin and did not have An appointment with the Geek Squad guys but they helped me with my iPhone 6 that for months kept asking for iTunes password and to sign in. (Looping over and over). They told me because I did not know my password to my account which I told them I did and had changed it several times that my phone would not be able to be used again. They said it is protected by my password and I should have remembered it when I first bought my phone, etc. I said if I erase all content and restart the phone again will it work and the guy said "no" it would not. So he basically told me I should get a new phone. When I got home I backed up all my data and did an erase all settings and content. Within 15 minutes my phone was back up and running only with a few apps missing. Now it is like a brand new phone :-) I also did not appreciate the arrogant attitude of one of them and will not be going back to them if I should in the future need any assistance with phone again. read more

0 Stars is too much for this place. My 64 Years old mother (who has cancer) went to this Best Buy to get a dryer several weeks ago. They deliver it to the basement but say they can't hook it up. So they take the dryer back. Her friend then told her any plumber could have done it. My mom goes back to Best Buy and buys another dryer. They came to deliver it and insisted they couldn't take the storm door off the hinges, even though they did it a few weeks before. They were about to leave it outside until she begged them to put it in the garage. The next day, my mom goes to the store to complain. They assure her they'll be there the next day to deliver it to the basement. No one showed up so I call corporate customer service, who were lovely. While I was on the phone, someone from the store left my mother the most obnoxious voicemail insisting it was scheduled for tomorrow. They finally came the next day, took the door off the hinges and put the dryer in the basement. They then refused flat out to put the door back. They told her it wasn't their job. So they left the door propped up against the back of the house. My mom told them it would fall down and she physically couldn't rehang the door herself (see abovere: cancer). Needless to say, the door fell yesterday. Glass shattered everywhere, the door is now completely broken and my mother called me in tears because a new storm door will cost her several hundred dollars. This store is the absolute worst. I'd say I hope they're ashamed of themselves but I'm not sure such rude, lazy people would be capable of an emotion such as shame. read more

Bought a Dell laptop about 5 months ago, and bought the Geek squad service warranty. Laptop been having issues with network adapter. They said they fixed it, but issue still remains. Can't connect to internet. Gone back and forth about 5 times, issue still remains. Asked to talk to supervisor to ask for replacement and/ credit toward new laptop for my child, they said have to go through manufacturer (since still under 1 year manufacturers warranty. Had them send it to service center (2 weeks) and problem still remains. Went back other day and they said talk to Dell! Why couldn't they tell me to do this from beginning instead of giving me the run around?!? All these months wasted. Ughhhh so frustrating! read more

The employees suck in the electronics department I'm not trying to be rude. They never have enough people that are knowledgeable. A lot of them are unwilling to help a customer or claim they don't know about the department. I will say the managers here are great and that's why I'm giving them 3 stars. I asked a manager for help and he got someone to finally help me after waiting in electronics for 20 mins. The laptop I wanted was sold out so he sold me a better laptop for the same price. My niece bought a laptop from Best Buy and when she went to turn it on it didn't work. She went to exchange it and they told her she needed a driver license. She is a high school student. We pointed out that the receipt only states photo I'd and the manager read something off his computer saying it has to be a driver's license. I will never shop and best buy again. I'm always surprised when I like a chain store like this, but we've been pleasantly surprised with Best Buy in Baldwin. On Saturday, we bought two iPhone 5 along with cases, coverage, etc. we saved significantly over other stores we'd been looking at. Colin and Jose and Rebekah were very helpful, non-pressure, and patient as hell. Thanks guys. The next day, we wanted to return the cases, and Lauren at the Geek Squad desk was wonderful. I bought a phone there 2 months ago. Nothing but problems. When I went in today for help I was advised that since I use team Mobile as carrier they wont help me. But they will sell me another one. When I told Tina I am a customer for many years. She said she doesn't care. wow. Maybe she will care when I report her to BBB.they have no knowledge on the phones the sell. The guy behind the counter did ask what I wanted and told him I wanted to upgrade my phone to an iphone 8plus, he said I had to wait since he was helping another customer and he was the only employee on. The dude knew what I wanted and he did help other customers who had quick questions. After another employee came on 40 minutes later, he said he had to first look up on the computer to see if they had the 8plus in stock. Guess what? They did not have it and I was told to go to a Verizon store. Really, like the dude couldn't quickly look that up for me 30 minutes ago! In the future I will go to Microcenter. read more

At first I was really pleased with the help I received at this Best Buy, but then things got really annoying. I was picking up a home security system that they had on sale, and I needed a bunch of sensors. They didn't have everything I needed in stock, but said they could order the rest for me, and give me free next day shipping to my house. The next day came around and nothing. I got a text that there was a problem with the order and that I needed to call. Got someone on the phone who said there was a problem, but nobody knew what it was. They would send it again and I would have it the next day. It came the next day! But it was only 2 sensors. I had ordered 10. Another phone call to customer service and the person was completely unhelpful, telling me to call the store. The store was closed. And no she couldn't connect me to a supervisor, they were all backlogged by an hour. I hung up with her and immediately called back and got a supervisor on the phone within 5 minutes. He got everything sorted out and placed the order for everything I was missing and would have it to me in 2 days. The shipment came when it was supposed to, but I was still short one sensor. The guy had gone over it several times, and he was still short one sensor. So now I've tried calling the store about this. I called twice, and each time the person I spoke to tried to pass me on to someone else. When they did this, the phone just rang and nobody picked up. Useless. So as of now, I'm missing a sensor, and down about $15 and a lot of time on these annoying phone calls. read more

They called me and said they were on the way to my house and I told them my slot is 4:30 to 6:30 !!! 5 hours earlier and I had 2 confirmation text 4:30 - 6:30. They installed and left, tonight I turn on TV and they didn't even hook up wires on back on tv becuase I have no cable! I wish I could give one star. This is the Ground Zero of Best Buys. Even if you check stock online before you go, there is a good chance they won't have it. Good luck finding an employee on the floor to ask for help. If you manage to find an employee, there is a very low chance they will be helpful. If you need something from a locked cabinet, be prepared to wait at least an hour for someone to be sent over to you, no matter how many employees say they are sending someone with a key. If something is on sale on the website or even in the store circular, it won't be on the shelf. If it is on the shelf, the price will not only be marked differently (by A LOT), but it will ring into the register at the non-sale price. My husband and I walked around looking at TVs for about 15 minutes and no one came to help us. One employee just came to look and see what we were doing. But offered no help. Seriously?? My wife was looking for laptop and & came to buy TV. 2 local Best Buy's near our home doesn't have open box merchandise for us. So we did purchased 65" LG 8000 series (open box) and HP laptop. Store manager Sean was very professional & helpful, took his time to check and confirm that the TV and laptop are in working condition. Store stuff was very friendly and help us to carry TV to the car. I believe that for my next Best Buy purchase I will take longer drive to Baldwin even I have multiple Best Buy near me. Do Not Purchase from BEST BUY unless you need no assistance from a salesperson! They try to get their customers to buy products without ANY knowledge of the product they are selling!!! We purchased a Galaxy Note 9 with the intent of giving it to a family member. We asked the sales person on Black Friday if the Note 9 Unlocked version that they sell had a DUEL Sim card holder. They said YES!!!! Now it's after Christmas and our family member opens the slot to insert the 2 sim cards, and there is only room for 1 sim card and 1 memory card. We went back to the Best Buy Store and were told that the 14 days return passed, but that means that we would have had to return the phone prior to Christmas!
