Nice big Best Buy that had a good selection of printers. I have been shopping around for printers for our condo in Providence and I decided to check some of them out at this store since I had some time to kill before my event. When I walked in, I was greeted by some of the staff members and I asked where could I find the printers, they showed me the section and I spent time doing my research. The thing with printers is you have to account for the ink cartridges...some of them could be very cheap, but the replacement cartridges could run you in the $50-75 range... So very disappointed in the "15" return policy they have. I bought my wife a 15 inch MacBook Pro and a few accessories to go along with it. Total was $2500. I tried to return a case that was purchased at the same time that did not fit. Even asked for a store credit. They said no because of the 15 policy and I asked if they were willing to lose a life long customer that had held off from buying electronics from Amazon. Their answer was "yes". I am hesitant to even give this store 1 star. The worst customer service and management I have ever seen. I returned an item and they said it would be credited on my card in 2 or 3 days. After 10 days I called their customer service, after being on hold for 12 minutes they told me they couldn't help me and I had to go to the store. I went to the store and after 40 minutes of waiting because of the incompetence of the workers at customer service the manager said he would try to get it resolved. No apology for my time or the incident. Now I have over 2 hours trying to get my refund that they screwed up! I will never again purchase anything from Best Buy! Best Buy at the Westgate Mall has improved...... a lot! It has been remodeled and has a great selection of everything. It doesn't have all that other Best Buy stores do (like the Magnolia Theater). Anyway, I came in about a month ago looking for a refrigerator & some computers. Well, honestly I really just came in looking for a new computer, but found some refrigerators (as I really want a new one). The employee working (didn't get his name), who was in a wheelchair, was very helpful and knowledgable about where everything was located in the store. Yet they didn't have what I was looking for in stock, and after visiting, and went to another Best Buy, noticed how under stocked the Brockton location is. Overall, fine for the essentials, but they really don't have everything and some other Best Buy locations have double this store does in computers and appliances. 3 stars. read more

I cannot believe the experience I just had at the Best Buy in Brockton, MA They don't know one thing about customer service. I'm going to write in the hopes you actually believe me. It sounds so far fetched it is hard to fathom. My daughter saw a MacBook air online for $749 this past Sunday night. When we went Monday and the sale price was gone but we got a student discount and got it for $899. One day later (today) my daughter shows me that she found it online again and put it in her Best Buy cart at the price of $749. Off we went to the store once more to obviously get the lower price. We went to customer service and showed them the cart online with the product and the price of $749. Two employees looked all over the site and couldn't find it for $749. That is not my problem. We showed them the phone on the Best Buy site with the $749 price. They called over the supposed manager ( Gabby) - How she ever got into customer service is beyond me but nonetheless she began to research. She also couldn't find the $749 price. Once again that was not my problem It was the Best Buy site, in my daughters cart online at a price of $749. They couldn't override the system to give us the lower price. Then they pretty much gave up and seemed to act as though they were done with their job and they couldn't help us so we were out of luck. After much aggravation, I had my daughter do it on her phone right there. She got the $749 price. At this point, I am quite annoyed. The manager was acting as if she was doing us a big favor when in reality she was of no help and just plain rude. Well, now the drama is over, so I thought, and my daughter has her computer at the lower price....BUT WAIT!! They start to walk away with the computer which we originally bought ( the package was unopened) and put it in the return bin. I asked them what they were doing and was told that because it was an online order we would have to wait an hour to pick it up. The computer was literally 3 feet away and we were standing right there but we had to wait an hour. I was floored. They could have gone over and just got another one for us right then and there but I guess that wasn't the right thing to do for the customer. We waited the full hour, never getting an email saying it was ready. When I asked about it, they sent a worker over to go "pick it". It took him 5 minutes. Why didn't they just do that when we were there??? The store wasn't busy. It was a sea of blue shirts but finding a customer would be like finding water in the desert. I really cant make stuff like this up. When we first left to wait the hour to "pick it" I called customer service seeing what they would do for a dissatisfied customer. I was pretty much that they did nothing No gift cards or anything. The woman on the phone kept telling to read the disclaimers on BestBuy.com. I work in customer service and have never seen such disdain for a customer and such poor customer service. It was disgusting. I meet with anywhere from 3-5 ppl a week if not more. Best buy can rest assured knowing that I will tell this story in every meeting I have. Will it have a big affect. Probably not. But, if I do stop 1,2 or 3 people from going in to buy something, I will be happy. The old saying goes, telling one person is like telling ten. Amazon is the way to go. Always on time with products. Any returns are always easy. You can buy anything instead of going to numerous stores. NEVER GO TO BEST BUY unless....YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. read more

A pretty decent store with friendly people especially at customer service. My biggest gripe with this store is the lack of adequate signs to get you to this store. While this may not be BestBuy's fault, I have to take two stars off because their management SHOULD have told the mall to fix this problem. I've had really bad experiences with Best Buy in the past, but I was in search of a product that sells exclusively at Best Buy stores unless I wanted to buy it directly from the manufacturer online. I was something I wanted right away rather than waiting for the shipping process, so despite dreading the visit I decided to try this location closest to my office. To my surprise, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly, everyone greeted me with a smile, including the loss prevention lady at the door who smiled and nodded "have a good day" to me as I left. More importantly, I wasn't asked "do you need help" a thousand times nor did I have anyone hovering over me which I have found often happens at these types of stores. Aisles are small and the layout of the store is a little confusing, so I did need help locating the item, which the associate led me to right away. For an electronics store, the store also seemed surprisingly dimly lit. Not sure what is up with that. But overall a positive experience. Glad the staff proved my expectations wrong. read more

Terrible customer service- Had ordered a new Gas Range Black- it was delivered 3 weeks later and was damaged. Quite a few employees from this location have shamelessly made it clear as to how rude and lazy they are. Today was the last day that I will ever step foot into a Best Buy store. I went there to return a wireless router that I had never opened. I brought it to customer service told them the date that I bought it, and gave them my credit card. They confirmed that the purchase was on my credit card and then told me I couldn't return it because it was purchased on May 19 and today is June 20. I shop there regularly, the same day I purchased the router I purchased apple accessories for 2 i phones. In the past year on various items (no big screen tv') I spent 1336.00. I was quite angry and left the store. I went on line to speak with customer service. I have been on hold for 23 minutes. I don't really have any hope of the anti-customer service ever picking up the call. Best Buy does not really have customer service. They have sales service, delivery, ordering, etc, but they don't want to hear about anything else. To add insult to injury, I looked at the rewards which I never knew anything about and realized that TODAY someone deducted $5.00 of "rewards" as if I had gotten some sort of credit at the store. I think this is the first Best Buy I ever went to back when it opened. For that reason, it's the one I'm most familiar with when it comes to layout and navigating my way around (altho, others aren't much different). Service use-to be much better, on my last couple of visits I literally had to track someone down for at least a half hour before I got some help. I dunno if they were just short-staffed, but I wasn't the only one looking for assistance. They have the best selection of DVDs around and sometimes run specials on misc electronics throughout the store. I think pricing is relatively average. read more

The workers' attitudes are horrible for the most part; when you ask where something is they point over, instead of walking you to it. Not only did it take them half a day to confirm an online order of an item that is displayed and available all over the entire store but they made us wait more than 10 mins in the store. Just when they were about to close someone in the front decided to ask us if we have been waiting for pick up, probably because they want to go home. This Best Buy is actually smaller than your regular super sized Best Buy. But, don't be fooled...It has tons of movies and a few electronics you might need. But, if you are looking for a new TV. I'd head on down to the one in Braintree. You may gt a better selection there. read more

Terrible customer service. Many employees have no clue what they're doing, what products they carry, or how to perform exchanges or returns. An employee at customer service spotted friends in line and dropped her obligations as she was tending to us, in order to talk to two guynfriends about something she saw on Snapchat about a fiery hot chicken wings challenge...for minutes on end. She kept going and going about the content viewed & "her peeps" while disrupting operations. Very unprofessional. No concern about customer's time here. I purchased a refrigerator some 4 plus years ago and purchased the 5 year warranty. On July 10, 2019, I called BB Support and was on the phone for 3 hours. It took 4 days to someone diagnose the problem, 4 more days to change the part that failed within 5 days. I have been calling and calling they came out three times with no resolve. I called them, several times, the manager in this store called me a liar. They could care less that I have not had a refrigerator since JULY 10, 2019. I called LG they are "so called" working on it as of last week. The Geek Squad is "so called working on it" After the third call I just wanted them to replace it! They can't fix it thats for sure. So as of today AUGUST 13, 2019, I am still without a refrigerator. I was told that its being escalated and to wait for a call. I did call the Better Business Bureau, The Attorney General and Channel 4. Yet I still sit here living out of a cooler. read more

I held off on making a post so I wouldn't be as upset as I was the day of and although I'm still pissed I've cooled down where I'm able to post without having to swear. So there's a solid chance I'll never go to this Best Buy ever again! This is coming from an elite plus member who's at best but at least once a week. After enjoying a nice breakfast Sunday morning I was close to this particular Best Buy (about 10-15 mins away) and I needed a few items but the group I was with was sort of in a rush. I decided I'd order online and just do a store pick up. Now again keep in mind I'm an elite member so this isn't my first time doing a store pick up. I went ahead ordered what I wanted right away so we could stop it pick it up and keep it moving. It took this Best Buy over an hour to get my order and this is still with me coming back to the desk and asking and sort of rushing them along. This has never happened to me. The most it's ever taken was 20 minutes and that is maybe on a busy there. Keep in mind I was in the store so I see it wasn't busy. While I was waiting I remembered there was something else I wanted. I asked two different reps for help one being a member of the geek squad and come to find out after I made the purchase I see they both game me the wrong information on the product! I'm just glad I don't have to go back to this store to exchange it even although this is the closet one to my job. From here on out I'll wait until I get home and go to the ones I live by. My computer has been with their geek squad for repairs for almost a month for a broken hinge. All they do is give you the run around when they finally answer your call. this specific review is about the geek squad audio installation. I'll just start off by saying I'm not one to write a review, but I had to after today's total buzz kill of a day. I am in such shock on how horrible the service was to install a subwoofer and speakers. no exaggeration when I say it took 7 hours to complete the job. I'd love to know in what world is that remotely acceptable. I inderstand it takes time I didn't expect it to be an hour of labor but shouldnt had took more then 3 hours to finish. with no apology, nor any type of discount said or offered to me by the tech/service department. it wasn't until the job was finished I was givin the advice that having an aftermarket stereo would make all the difference. and that without an aftermarket stereo it wasn't going to sound right and that the price would have been the same by having an aftermarket stereo installed instead. I couldn't help but appreciate such great advice after the job was complete. so after the excessive amount of wait time, it sounds worse then how it did before i brought it in. then tells me the price if I wanna install the aftermarket stereo instead of the stock stereo as if I didn't just pay $350 to have the job done right. I feel like such an idiot for paying the amount of money I paid for such bad service in general. never again. read more

If there was anyway to give this store a score lower than one star, I would give it a negative 0. I went to the store today to return non-contract phones that I purchased. I was well within the time frame to return the phones and I had my receipts. As soon as I walked in the store with the phones, I was approached by a Best Buy employee who wanted to know if I was returning an item. I said that I was returning some phones that I ordered online and his response was "You're returning all those phones??" My response was yes. Then he said that he needed to get a supervisor to see if I could return the phones. I asked why wouldn't I be able to return the phones because it is still within the return time period, I have my receipts and phones have not been opened or used in anyway. Then the supervisor came and right away, without really looking at my receipts properly said that I will accept the phones for a return because you have too many phones. I asked him why not because I still have time to return them, I have my receipts, the have not been opened, and on the Best Buy website it says I can return the items to any Best Buy store. At this point he rudely say, well I am going to have to look into this and walks away leaving me standing by the Best Buy door with the phone boxes in my hand. A good twenty through twenty-five minutes goes by and he never comes back. I then ask the employee who initially wanted to know if I was going to make a return if he could contact the supervisor to see if he was coming back to give me a definite response anytime soon. The employee called him and five minutes later the supervisor approaches me and says that he can take back come of the phones but not all. I asked him why not and he responds that I was out of the return time limit for the other phones. Since I was at the store longer than I expected to be at the store, I went to the customer service desk to return the phones that he reluctantly agreed that I could return. However, before I went to the service desk, I asked the employee by the door, if I could speak to a manager. He told that that the supervisor was the manager. I said that the name tag of the person that said he would not take some of the phones indicated that he was a supervisor and not a manager. The employee rudely told me that he is not responsible for that it says on the name tag and that the guy who refused to accept the returns for some of my phones was a manager and not a supervisor. After I went to the service clerk to return the phones I was allowed to return by the store "manager" I saw another guy standing there who looked like he may be a manager. I asked the return clerk if the guy was a manager. She responded that the guy was indeed a manager. At this point I approached the manager and told him my experience thus far. Unfortunately, this manager was rude as well. When I asked him why I couldn't return the other phones, he snatched the box of phones and the receipts from my hand and kept yelling you only have 15 days to return the phones. I then kept telling him that I was within the return time frame for me to return the phones because my receipts say that my order was shipped on 1//31/16. I told him if my order ships on 1/31/16, then there is no way I could have received the items on the same day. Obviously, I received the item a couple of days later which is the normal occurrence for items that are sent through standard shipping. Finally, after snatching the the phone boxes and the receipts from my hand, he agrees that I was within my time frame to return the phones with the exception of one phone that I picked up at the store on 1/31/16. Needless to say, I had to go back to customer service desk and wait an inordinate amount of time for the clerk to process on the phones that they initially declined to let me return. While standing in the return line, I heard the manager tell the supervisor, you did not tell me that her order was shipped on 1/31/16. Bottom line, there was not reason not to accept the returns that were shipped to me on 1/31/16. I kept telling the supervisor and the manager that on the Best Buy website, it says that I have till 2/5/16 to return the items. They would not listen to me; they simply wanted to decline my return and treat me very disrespectfully to boot. I cannot overstate how horrible customer service was at this store. I have been to other store locations over the years and have never has such a horrible experience. Something needs to be done about these people. Why are they allowed to treat customers that way. Best Buy corporate needs to look into this! read more
