My experience at this location has mainly been cordial and fairly helpful. At my recent visit, I was looking into antenna wires for my new TV set, was met with a floor sales associate who was pretty resourceful and recommended a few brands available for purchase. Tech associate also gave some advice on how to install the wires on the particular product easy and time saving. DO NOT schedule any IPhone related repairs with this Best Buy's Geek Squad. I had initially scheduled an IPhone battery replacement through Apple's website for the afternoon, but was told to reschedule for the following day due to the person in charge of IPhone repairs not being in at the time. I was fine with this, and came back the next day for my now rescheduled appointment. The appointment ended up taking ~4 hours, which, although longer than what was stated on Apple's website regarding authorized repair spots, was still fine. Immediately after picking up my phone from them, I had noticed that my phone was strangely hot, but assumed I was just imagining things. After arriving home, my phone began to drastically overheat, turn off out of nowhere, and its camera and FaceID stopped working completely. The person in charge of IPhone repairs had either replaced my phone's battery with a faulty one, or had simply damaged the insides of my phone during repair. How do you manage this as someone who is paid to do IPhone repairs on the daily? I have since gotten a replacement phone through Apple's warranty and will likely never schedule a service with Best Buy's Geek Squad again. I truly feel as though I could have done a better (and faster) job myself by ordering an IFixit kit. read more

I'm a member because I shop at Best Buy often. This morning I decided to shop at this location. It was early so it was empty. The greeter at the door was very pleasant. I asked where the shokz earbuds were when I found them I came back and asked for assistance. He said he would call someone to help me. I returned to aisle and looked at my choices. I saw two other staff members talking with him but they didn't come to help me. That was fine I figured they didn't work that department. I used my wait time to Google reviews of best earbuds to make my final decision. I decided to stand at the end of the aisle so I wouldn't be forgotten. I wasn't impatient because I hadn't made up my mind, but I didn't expect to wait this long because the store was empty. A man entered the aisle next to mine. Our eyes met as he appeared to be searching for assistance also. Minutes passed a sales person arrived and the greeter pointed me out. I smiled so he knew it was me. As he walked towards me he stopped in the aisle before mine and asked the man if he needed something. The greeter reminded him that I was waiting. He mumbled something to the effect of just a minute and tended to the man who came after me. I'm pretty sure he came after me because our eyes met when he got there. Walked in because i had a problem with a device i bought 1 month ago. Best buy CS set up an appointment with geek squad they said they will take it to diagnose & see if a quick repair is possible. The service is extremely mid, most employees there barely care about customers and since I am, kind of Young one employee was trying to ignore me. I was trying to ask something for the selection when I try to buy stuff it's never on the shelves it's always in the back in storage, which is very annoying. I would say the value is OK sometimes there are sales. The only reason I come to this place is because it is close to where I live. I hate that when I tried to get a shipment for a brand new laptop screen was damaged so I had to get a shipment for a new one. And the second time it got "lost in mail ". They said it was lost from their system but I didn't believe that but the third time I Got another shipment for another different laptop and It actually came. I pick it up form someone else who tells me it's working (after coming out of the back room 20 minutes later with it already on) doesn't reboot it in front of me. This review is for Best Buy in general. I went to the Brooklyn location to purchase an open box apple laptop. The service at this location was ok. Someone can and help me not a problem. The value was as expected same price as apple with a slight discount. Not worth it! Warning to anyone who purchase anything from Best Buy: Read their membership policy carefully. They say when you purchase Best Buy plus membership for approx $180 you get 2 years of apple care. This information is based on what I was told by several sales associates. However, this is incorrect. In my opinion Best Buy might be purposefully lying to their customers. In the fine print it says you have to maintain an "active membership" in order to get the benefit of the two year apple care. Which means you have to pay $180 every year. That about $360. Apple care is $250 for 3 years. Best Buy does not disclose the fact that every year you have to pay $180. It is possible that a customer is probably thinking that they are getting a deal $180 for two years of coverage great. However, if you return to Best Buy the second year and did not pay the $180 for your membership you are out of luck. Beware of the shady practices. Read your agreements. I never write reviews, but today's experience was just outrageous. My 7 years old daughter asked me to stop by today at the store to buy Apple Earbuds. I asked the worker about where we can find them and he directed us to Apple section. We arrived at the section and were not able to find them and asked another worker for assistance. Another worker (who was actually the manager) directed us to the Cashier/ Check Out and stated that we need the customer service representative to show them to us. There were 2 workers, who worked at the Cashiers (mind today is Sunday) in the whole entire store. We waited in line for 25 minutes and when arrived to the check out and asked about earbuds, she responded -"You need to wait "and called another customer after us. I got upset and said "we waited already 25 minutes, how long I should wait more?". Her response was-I don't know, all the earbuds are locked and I need someone to get them." My response was-"Well, can you show them to me so I will know what I am waiting for?" She looked at me and said " I don't know why you are so upset". In spite of this gaslighting, I still managed to stay calm and made an attempt to explain that we already waited for almost 30 min without even knowing what they have in store. The worker looked at me and stated "You should be ashamed for your behavior in front of your daughter". She shamed me in front of my child, the line of the customers who stood behind us. She acted as I was trying to steal the earbuds and not to buy them. I thought I literally going to explode. I said "How dare you to shame me in front of my daughter!". Guess what? She did not stop. She said "You are raising your voice at me!" I could not believe my ears and my daughter was scared. I lived in US for more than 26 years and I saw NOTHING like this. She called 'for help' her colleague nearby, who left the entire line of customers and began yelling at me without any idea what was going on. I asked to call the manager, who tried to stay calm but did not dissolve the situation. Dear Customer Management-Your customer service is a pure DISGRACE. Please, hire enough security if there is a stealing in the store. Don't SHAME your customers for your shortcomings or treat them as a potential thieves! 9/10 that I end up coming here, they just don't have what we need, or we can get in substantially cheaper online. It's great to actually find what you're looking for and then decide if it's worth it or not, but I wouldn't willingly come out of my way to come here. More times than most, if you're looking at something and you need help - there is NO ONE to be found. Or, you see 4-5 people in one department clustered, and none of them can actually help you with what you need. Or they decide to get more help and go to "the back" and they disappear for good. This has less to do with the specific store than BB in general. My 55" TV arrived last week with a scratched screen. As it's not possible to contact any of the stores directly, I had to deal with the phone reps in the Philippines. Of the more than 10 reps I got bounced to due to dropped calls, protocol or I don't know what all, none could grasp the situation or make any offer of viable replacement. Went with a buddy of mine to pick up his PS5 that he pre-ordered on 9/16. Walked in around 230 PM greeted by Asia. She recognized my friend because he'd been there multiple times to pick up accessories anticipation of the PS5. Something seemed off about the way she was acting after she came back from the stock room. We asked several times what's going on w/no answer. She told us they use a spreadsheet to check off who picks up PS5's. My friend's name was not checked off, therefore he obviously hadn't picked it up yet. She then called out to a nearby manager, Shaheem, who yelled back to her that this morning they weren't using the spreadsheet, meaning they weren't following protocol. He'd come to regret yelling this statement later when he lies to us about many things. Shaheem and a few employees are now huddled around "checking the system". The employees were whispering to each other. My friend and I continuously asked what's wrong. Asia deflects again. Shaheem looks at her and says "cmon, tell em what's happening" - She tells us that it seems the PS5 was picked up this morning, which Shaheem confirms happened around 9AM. He then get's another employee who was working the morning shift, Gabby, on the phone - she's on speaker and I'm standing about a foot away from him. He's asking Gabby if she remembers and she asks him who does it say gave the PS5 away, Shaheem whispers "you." We now know Gabby is the one that gave away (or stole) the PS5 and did not follow protocol in the morning. (Checking ID.) My friend was being a lot more patient than I so I kept cool and waited for them to come up with a solution or an explanation. Shaheem decided "check the cameras" to see who picked it up, we said okay fine please do your thing. We asked who gave it away and he wouldn't tell us at this point, he said he has to check the cameras. We waited for about 2 hours for him to return. During the 2 hours we asked someone to tell us, or to go to Shaheem and ask him, what would be the solution regardless of who he saw on the cameras. All the employees sympathized with us and were appreciative of how patient we were being, but no one was actually helping us. They were busy making fun of other customers who were walking in and out, or yelling across the store about ordering their lunch. We remained quiet and in that time we learned some very important information. On PS5 launch days their protocol is to have 2 people at the pick up counter who are trained and dedicated for the pick up area. The protocol says no one else should be there, especially not new hires or seasonal employees. On this given day there was a new hire and another employee who wasn't supposed to be at pick up. Shaheem returned after 2 hours and said that he believes it was picked up. Confused, we were waiting for him to elaborate. Surely he didn't leave us for 2 hours to check the cameras and then come back and say just that. I asked ok Shaheem that's fine someone made a mistake here but we just want a solution, what is your solution. He replied well it could have been you guys who came to pick it up. My buddy and I looked at each other very confused and asked him if he had seen us on the camera while he was checking the footage for the last 2 hours. He said well it could have been someone who dresses like you or looks like you. My friend, despite all his anger at this point, still spoke out calmly and in a very direct way against this allegation. I asked him again, Shaheem did you see him on the camera? He said no. So at this point we understand that Shaheem is trying to cover for an employee who made a grave mistake and is not willing to resolve this issue for the customer by any means. Shaheem tried to tell us we picked it up, lying about many things in the process. He finally decided to give us the name of the employee who picked it up, "Shaniqua" I said Shaniqua huh? ok. After many hours, my friend still left the store without a PS5. He was advised by Bestbuy corporate customer service to go to the nearest police station and file a police report. It replaced a Walbaums so long ago, but that is still in the forefront of my mind lol I actually came here because there was some crazy deal and in-store pick up would make it an even better one. I went on Memorial Day weekend to pick it up and even though the people in front of us were taking forever doing who-knows-what, Jean, was such a fun personality that i forgot I was waiting for so long for the ONE customer in front of me. My review is aimed at corporate, not any particular retail outlet. I ordered the "stand alone haul away " for $199.99 service they offer on their web site for two old tv's I have. I have never seen such consistant incopetence on every level as this company has. When the truck showed up to remove them, the driver gave me some vague argument like he needed more money to do the job, even though I met all the requirements as described in the web site offer. Basically a shake-down. So he left without taking them. Thats when the real fun began. Every time i called them to try and straighten out the problem, I was shifted from dept. to dept. being told no one could help me. Their "customer service" is more like " customer torture". But they processed my credit card that same day. I finally got to speak to a manager in the Geek Squad dept. She told me their offer doesn't include the 4th floor. There is no mention of any such restriction within their "scope of service" page as presented on their web site. And if there was, why not tell customers up front. So I told her i consider that bad faith business, but they wouldn't do anything to make an adjustment for the error. They just say "sorry' and "have a nice day". They didn't even say what they would charge for the extra work. So I lost a days pay for nothing. There doesn't seem to be ANYONE there who gives a ..... Completely off the mark, Geek Squad! So I came in with an appointment I had made on their website, and there was still a wait at the Geek Squad line. Employees were MIA, and when one person finally showed up at the front desk, he rang up a customer who was buying an IPhone screen protector. Uh really? Isn't that what the normal checkout line is for? Anyway when It finally got to my turn, it was about half an hour after my scheduled appointment. I was finally acknowledged and was told to continue waiting patiently. Once he came out again to help me, I told him that my computer was no longer able to start up and he immediately took a look at it, told me my keyboard was raised which meant my battery was swollen, and took it in to get it properly diagnosed. I asked him if it was the charger and he said, "Most likely not, don't keep charging it or it will explode!" He didn't even take a look at my charger. 15-20 mins later, the diagnosis still stands, and his recommendation was to pay $100 for a data backup (and I had to purchase a hard drive from them), that my computer was pretty much done for, and to purchase a new laptop. I was a bit shocked at the diagnosis since it was a fairly new computer, and what he was suggesting required quite an investment in addition to a purchase of a new laptop. I decided to go elsewhere for a second opinion and guess what?? My battery was NOT swollen, thank you very much. They ran battery tests and all was good in the hood. What WAS the issue, however, was that my laptop's main board had short-circuted. The charger was ACTUALLY broken because the surge must have damaged it. All I needed was a quick main board reset, a new charger, and I was good to go. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LAPTOP. Their fear-mongering is driven by 1. We went there to buy a refrigerator, microwave, stove , and dishwasher. The staff in the store was very knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery was a NIGHTMARE. They sent an email they would come at 1:15 pm. They actually showed up at 12:06pm and didnt even ring the bell. When I called them at 12:45pm they said it was too late. They told me a dispatcher would call in 45 minutes. They never called. I waited until 4 pm. I got an email that delivery was complete, except it never was completed. I called them to change the phone number on the order to my cell phone, but later on in the day, again, no record of the call. I tried to reschedule my delivery, but they can't reschedule it , because it is IN TRANSIT. These people are inept. I will never shop there for anything again. They can't even cancel my order today. Not 1, not 2 but 3 employees were sitting and or standing there busy on their cell phones. One looked up and then went back to his phone. The place has seem to have become even more ghetto and trashy than before, camera department is still full of useless lazy employees, except now they're rude, loud, and mock customers. Yes, they still all stand around laughing it up and doing nothing and get all offended if a customer even dares to ask one question. Meanwhile there is like no one to find for help in the mobile section. Only departments (at least in our experience) that are ok are pick-up, gaming, and TVs. Most people have no choice but to come here since it's conveniently located by Kohl's, Toys R Us, Modell's, Wendys etc. The next Best Buy is at Kings Plaza and that's just as ghetto and empty with most people too lazy to help too and no one wants to pay like $3 just to park there. read more

They just did a remodeling and i do not like it. They got rid of most of the CD section and expanded the Blu Ray section. My problem with this is the Blu Ray section is in "A-Z" format and not by genre, so it's harder to find something you might be in the mood for but not necessarily looking for. They hardly carry any rare dvd's but will look on their website to see if another location has it. Customer service is good if you are looking for a specialist, but you mostly get "if it's not there we don't have it" when it comes to DVD's, Video games or CD's. Lots of bargain DVD's for less than 10 bucks which is good. Black Friday is INSANE here, amazing deals but the crowds are unbearable. Get a rewards card and you will usually get a $5 coupon once a month if you make a purchase every now and then. read more

I called best buy supervisor- completely refused to do anything. Wouldn't call the delivery, wouldn't reschedule it (even though there are 6 more hours before they close). I think a lot of times, I am very lucky when I go to Best Buy. I never have an issue - especially when I pay for their earbud warranties. I just go straight to customer service, get another one of my earbuds or a full refund plus a partial refund of the warranty and I get to go. This store was no different. read more

We shopped here for a TV, vacuum cleaner, phone and a laptop, all at the same time for a store. First half hour we were kind of lost, four of us wandering from a section to section then employees should have recognized our poor-selves :) We have been helped in each section with professional advises, pros and cons so ended up buying everything for $1088 bucks, a Lenovo yoga pc, Panasonic double phones, shark vacuum and a Samsung tv. Especially one guy whose name I can not recall now but might be Anthony was so helpful. Our check out process was a bit slower with guaranty issues and an old best buy card we had, even though there is limit, transaction did not go through but then settled. They offer 12 to 18 month payment plans. Would recommend. read more
