My fridg wasn't working and couldn't be fixed. Had so much food that was spoiling. Found a new one on line at Drimmers. It was reasonably priced. It was delivered the next day!! Everyone I dealt with (all by phone or email) was friendly, helpful, and responsive. The deliverer called to let me know when they were 1/2 hour away for delivery; very considerate. Beyond unethical, this company is dangerous. We bought a washer/dryer unit from them, including install. The day after the install, the apartment was filled with gas (the dryer runs off the gas line) due to an incredibly poor and dangerous installation job. The fire department and utility company had to come out to take the unit out of the wall and diagnose the issue. After weeks of repeated attempts to get them to apologize, fix the issue, and refund us, we finally got someone there to put the unit back in but without once saying sorry for endangering our family's lives. DO NOT buy from these people, all the reviews about the folks there are true. Terrible work, terrible customer service, and dangerous installation. Drimmers has been a nightmare "Shia" happy to take your order nasty, rude ineffective when there is a problem. Brand new A/C broke down twice in 4 months time.Shia refused to help me. Drimmers is horrible. I ordered a Miele dryer, I needed the door hinge on the left. Chiam said "no problem" and scheduled the delivery. I asked him to send me a receipt and to put the left hinge on the receipt. Neither thing happened. I called again the next day and he said sure and didn't do anything. The following day the truckers arrived and said they cannot change the door. I had to refuse the delivery. I waited home half the day for them. I am trying to get a refund. But the other dealer's team arrived having been told of a completely different problem (we saw their work notes) and therefore had the wrong parts. I bought a Maytag dishwasher after doing my research online. Drimmer's didn't have the lowest price, but they were close enough. After reading dozens of unhappy reviews about the installation services when you buy from a big chain, I decided Drimmer's being a few dollars more was worth it for the great reviews they got in installation. My installers came 2 days after my purchase, I got an email the day before with a 3-hour time window, and then an email day of with a 1.5-hour time window, then a phone call from the installers when they were 10 minutes away. Drimmers might as well just rob people at gunpoint. May 16th I bought a fridge in store. Delivered Wednesday 5/18. Deliverymen did not strap the fridge to or use a mat to cushion it on the hand truck. Each time they stopped the fridge lurched forward & back, bounced around. The installer set the fridge. It was not level. I asked him if he had a level to level it. Then, on the right side I saw 4 dents in the fridge.On phone,Amaury, the salesman, offered $50.00 off if I would accept the dented fridge, or to send a new one Friday. Thursday I called Drimmers twice. I asked the person in charge of deliveries for the next installers to strap the fridge to the hand truck & to have a level & wood to level the fridge with. Friday 5/20, The driver assembled the fridge, reversed doors & hinges in the busy street, sent the other guys up to install it. Young man did not know how to level the fridge, did not have a level or shims or blocks of wood. I got out my torpedo level, & found a hardcover book. I cut the covers off to use for shims. After maybe 7 or 8 minutes of the guy trying to level the fridge using only the front leg adjustments, he sent the tall guy to get the driver, said the driver is the installer. I still hadn't had a chance to inspect the fridge.The driver was upset the young guy hadn't leveled the fridge. Because the fridge has rear rollers, the only way driver could level the fridge was by using my home made hard book cover shims under a roller & front adjustable leg. If you touched the fridge, let alone tried to open the fridge or close it, the frigerator rocked like crazy.Driver complained my floor was off & that was why it was so hard to level the fridge. That's B.S. I was a NYC window installer over thirty years. Every window I replaced, the opening was off. I leveled every window I installed by using shims & levels. Fridges must be leveled cause floors are off! You cannot properly install a refrigerator without leveling it. Drimmers is not concerned with proper installation of product or installers would have levels & blocks of wood or hard plastic leveling shims. Installer blew it off, not his problem,too many deliveries, too little time. I never got to look the fridge over while they were there. After installers left I noticed the door handles did not line up, aggravated & unsatisfied , called Drimmers, talked to 3 different people. Kadeisha said a GE tech would level the fridge the same day. B.S.!. Now I began to look at fridge & found more problems.. The GE tech came a little before 4:30 PM, Friday the 20th.He said that leveling was the installers job, not his,& did not have a level or shimming products. even so, did try to level the fridge & keep it from rocking, He said that because most fridges now have rollers in back, it makes it more difficult. He told me I could do it myself if I get just over 1" blocks of wood for the right side- roller & front leg, that if I I had them he could do it. I showed him the dirty misshapen beat up plug (to fill a hole) in the front of the fridge from when the installers reversed the doors.. He was very perturbed & we found several other places that should have had but did not have plugs placed in then, & screwholes that should have but did not receive screws in them.Technician tightened handles to line up. Then found the door handle loose, when you open the door it clicks like crazy. GE Tech also noticed a scratch on the top of the fridge door & knew it was caused by the installer screwing into the screwhole on the door frame behind it, without opening the door to get the top of the door out of the way. Top right corner seal shock absorber for the freezer door, clips were broken,, it hangs to the side when the freezer is opened Twice I wasted entire days cause of Drimmers.. The GE Tech felt Drimmer's installers failed to do their job, & the condition of the "new fridge" made him wonder if i was sent a floor model. I want a full refund & I want the fridge removed immediately. Friday I opened a dispute with American Express. I sent them photos of the defects in the fridge & a summary. On Sunday I called Drimmers. I told Amaury I will not accept less than the fridge being removed & a full refund, & had to ask for the manager or owner. Amaury said Ama is the owner but not in on Sunday. Gave me an e mail address for Ama & Barry & told me to email them the summary & photos. I emailed Ama, Barr & Amaury. I included the info that I had set a dispute at Am Ex & want the fridge removed & a full refund. I called 4 times today. Monday, in the morning. Finally, the 3rd time that I spoke to Ama the owner, he told me that he will have Jacob the manager call me to work this out. I told Ama that the fridge has to be removed & a full refund issued. He did not agree to that. I told him I will not accept less & that if not satisfied I will escalate this publicly. I have been using Drimmers since 1999 when I bought a 65" television. My parents have been customers long before that. None of us have any complaints and would highly recommend them. My last large purchase was an oven, fridge, dishwasher and over the stove microwave. My salesman was Marcelo. Marcelo was very pleasant to work with and offered excellent suggestions. He was a no pressure salesman which is rare these days; he genuinely seemed to just want me to be happy with my selections and purchase overall. He also assisted me several months after the sale when I needed help with the serial numbers/rebate. The delivery time was within the 2 hour window; the delivery men were courteous and helpful. It was extremely easy to obtain a certificate of insurance (as my coop building requires) from the main office of Drimmers via email. Worst service you can get! Second rate products. They shout at you, hung up on you and send you to court if there is a problem. We had property damaged in the apartment by their delivery men, and Miri, who originally sold us the washing machine and was sweet as honey when she wanted to get us to purchase from them, screamed at us that is was our fault not telling them to be careful! And send us to sue them in court. The Bosch washing machine they sold us is already rusting after 3 months, and the electronic control locks the machine, with water in mid circle , for 24 hours. I ordered a refrigerator about a year ago that they finally delivered. I know why things are back ordered and that's not even the problem, although an occasional update would have been nice. The problem is the horrible, rude, unhelpful and condescending delivery men. I have been renovating for over a year and have never come across such mean people in my life. I called about a specific model apartment size refrigerator and spoke with a rep named Shia. He confirmed the model number and said I could have it delivered in two days on Thursday 8/18/22. I paid $717, which was charged to my Amex card. I gave him both my phone number and the tenant's phone number for delivery. On Thursday I waited all day and heard nothing from Drimmers. The same for my tenant. At 5pm I tried to call Shia who only had voicemail and was not in the office. I called back and was forwarded to a man named Abraham who informed me after researching my order that there was no delivery order for me that day and - the model I supposedly purchased WAS NOT EVEN IN STOCK! He then tried to sell another brand refrigerator which I refused because I had done a lot of research before coming up with the specific model I wanted - and thought I had purchased. (I did purchase it according to AMEX!) I WAS VERY ANGRY AND DECIDED TO CANCEL THE ENTIRE SALE and shop elsewhere hopefully at a store that was honest and could tell me the truth and was not a rip-off. I then called AMEX to make sure I canceled the sale and was told I would have to wait at least a week or more to get my money back. So I am now paying interest on this "purchase!" WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DOES THIS TO THEIR LONG-STANDING CUSTOMERS OR ANY CUSTOMER?!? I have had issues before with Drimmers including: a stove (which was and still is a lemon) which broke under 60 days that they refused to replace and, many years ago, the sale of a refrigerator which was scratched and turned out to be a floor model without them informing me that it was essentially NOT NEW. I took the day off to wait for a delivery and the truck arrived, 30 minutes after the outside of the delivery window. When the appliance was purchased, the salesman had been told, in detail, that it would be a challenging delivery and we were assured by him they'd be able to make it work. When the driver finally arrived he said he was only here to look to see if he could do the delivery but that they'd have to come back another day with a third person. I found it ironic that, while I was on hold waiting to talk to someone, the recording touted their customer service. My advice would be to never ever order from this company. I ordered a Miele dishwasher from them and the experience was an absolute nightmare from beginning to end. They won't give you a delivery time until 3 am the day of. The guys who delivered and were supposed to connect it didn't have the necessary adapter to connect it (the newer German dishwashers need a junction box to be connected to hardwire). After they left, I opened the dishwasher and believe it or not it was WET and DIRTY inside. I unscrewed the filter and it had pieces of food stuck to it. I called and emailed the company. Brenda, the representative, was rude on the phone, not believing me and chastising me for me telling her that I feel like they screwed me over. She also said it's Miele's fault. LOL. I got them them to pick up the dirty dishwasher two days later. However, when I asked them to reimburse me--radio silence. I emailed several times, nothing. Isaac is probably the best salesperson I've ever dealt with. Most salespeople are either forgettable or sneaky and conniving by making believing you are getting a discount/great price but then adding side costs. I like those who are more of an advisor and provide insight into different manufacturers and their products which he does vs. being an order taker. Originally, I spoke with him in summer '11 when I needed a new fridge for my mom and he patiently gave me advice despite only spending ~ $700. So in summer '13, I gave him a call when I bought my house and had to outfit the kitchen and house with high-end appliances (eg., Gaggenau, Bosch, Miele...etc.) totaling $23K. He treated me the same no matter how much I spent which is a sign of a true professional and genuinely helpful person. I now consider him a friend and seek his advice on any new appliance purchase which he gladly obliges and tries to give me the best prices. read more

When the delivery men damaged my floor I sent a picture to Isaac explaining the incident. He swiftly reimbursed me for the cost of the repair. There was a snafu with our order, in that MJX Delivery, the company used to deliver our oven brought it to us but had neither the time nor a particular part necessary for installation. We were very upset about this, even rageful, given the closeness of Passover, a mere four days away. Having said this, we were impressed with the efforts that Drimmers made to correct the situation by working with MJX to ensure both that they would have the part and that we would get our delivery in timely fashion the following morning. Good prices - they matched or beat the best online prices I was able to find for all of the appliances I was looking for! - and service - they sourced the models# of the items I had researched & found on my own, and for the rest, they made recommendations that exactly fit my (admittedly many and difficult) requirements and turned out in my subsequent research to be well reviewed. I appreciated that my sales person DID NOT necessarily try to steer me toward the most expensive things - in at least one case he talked me OUT of a more expensive item because users have complained about it! I appreciate this kind of honesty. He also threw in several perks - I don't want to say what they are, because I don't want to get him in trouble with the management for having done something nice for me. I was in the middle of a gut reno and trying to decide on appliances. He spent a lot of time with me and helped me think through my choices and I am very happy with what I selected. He also worked directly with my cabinet person who wasn't the easiest to deal with to make sure she had all the measurements. Appalling service. After being treated with disdain in the show room, I paid $!25 for installation of the over the counter microwave. They failed to show on 3 separate occasions. Once the installers finally arrived they told me they could not install the microwave until I got a handy man to make a minor correction to the backsplash. By the way they barely spoke english, fortunately I speak spanish. I finally paid for a new handyman to do the correction and installation. He told me that the previous installers broke the microwave and that there was no way for him to install it. I will try to return it, if not I will appeal via my credit card company.
