It was a no brainer to choose them. When it comes to the work itself, the craftsmanship was very good, the cuts are so clean and everything looks amazing. They did very fast work without sacrificing quality. The only areas for improvement I would say they could have are: - Communication during the days of the project, so you know without having to ask when they are coming, leaving, what the progress is, etc. - Ensuring when they put furniture and things back that they pay attention to things like hooking up HDMIs back to the correct places - Doing a better job of cleanup -- they left behind a TON of dust coating everything, sawdust in my basement that I presume blew in from leaving the garage entrance open where they were working, cans/water bottles left behind - Building in measurement/space for lower flooring to not leave a gap in the trim; they came back and did some caulking after I had a water/rain issue, but it still doesn't look as good -- I wish that their molding/trim solution filled the big gaps and I'm going to have to find a way to do that myself To their credit, they were very fast and responsive when I had a water issue and came back out the next day. I also had a crack in my basement ceiling where something pounded through or pounded the drywall loose from the flooring above being done, and they credited me enough money back to be able to have my handyman fix it. Overall, I would definitely use DFD again.

The second time, I just had them pull up my carpet and put down hardwood for my basement stairs and LVP for the landing. The stairs do not look like hardwood (it is hardwood; stained to match LVP); they match the LVP perfectly! From the customer service and the entire process, they deserve 10 stars! And their pricing is reasonable, and not based on where you live. I highly recommend them! They will be my go to for any type of flooring from now on!

This included installing hardwood on the stairs that matched the vinyl. Also, we wanted to have a stair-runner installed on the staircase going to the upstairs level. Lastly, we wanted to replace the pad and carpet in the basement. We had the best experience working with Clawes Carpets and Flooring. It started with Katherine who listened to our desires for the house floors and she made excellent recommendations for the luxury vinyl and carpets. Doug came to measure the home and also made some helpful recommendations related to the baseboards. We agreed and had Clawes also installed new baseboards on the main level. The installation of the luxury vinyl was done in a day - amazing. The carpet in the basement was done on another day that week, and the stair-runner and baseboards installed on another day. The teams were polite, efficient and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up nicely after they were done. This has been the most pleasant experience for us in all aspects of this project. Everyone was so helpful and answered our many questions. We received two other proposals for similar work. While Clawes wasn't the cheapest (they were in the middle of the three prices), they represented the best value based upon our interaction with them, the detailed written proposal, and the kind assistance they gave in helping us to decide.
