We ordered a Viking Side by Side refrigerator freezer from Best Buy in Cascade Station Portland on February 22, 2026, because our existing kitchen aide unit had a leak that could not easily be repaired. Cost with taxes was paid in full for over $13,000. We were originally given a delivery date of 4/4/26 and received no warning of delays. Had we been warned of possible delays, we would have purchased something else given the issues and damage caused by the existing unit. We were told in March that Best Buy needed to reschedule which we did for May 6. We were then told again that Best Buy needed to reschedule which we did for May 27. That appointment also got cancelled by Best Buy and rescheduled for July 6. Then the July 6 got cancelled because they didn't plan for a 4 person delivery team. Finally on July 8 the unit was delivered and the old unit removed. Unfortunately, we were told by the install team after installation that there is a manufacturing flaw in the Viking unit and so the stainless steel doors rub and are grinding deep scratches into both doors. The extensive delays caused damage to our wood floors from the old units leaking which was great effort to contain. And sadly the local Best Buy sales team has now told us that they steer shoppers away from Viking refrigerators because of quality concerns. Since delivery we realized the unit is also missing the bottom kick plate and a few weeks after delivery the ice has stopped working. We scheduled a replacement delivery which was set for August, but weeks later that again was cancelled by Best Buy with a request that we contact them to reschedule. Today we went to Best Buy, ordered a non-Viking unit which is scheduled for delivery in August. Wish us luck. read more

Bought a open-box "good" TV online from here. According to BB, "good" means "May be missing non-essential parts & accessories". When I unwrapped my TV at home, it had no stand, no remote, and no power cord. I found a sticker on the back of the panel which said it had no remote. It's 2026, TVs don't have buttons anymore; a remote is required. So not one, not two, but three essential parts were missing. I don't know if this was incompetence or maliciousness, but I would avoid this store! read more

Very unpleasant interaction with the manager named Angel at this facility, my father came in for a refund on a purchase i made and was refused said refund with no explanation other than him not making the purchase himself, treated my father like he was stealing or trying to scam... he went to the best buy in Clackamas and they gave us our refund without any problems. Big box stores are nearly impossible to review on an individual level, since they are basically all the same, operationally. However, after purchasing four major appliances at the Cascade Station store earlier this year, I have to say that there is at least one stand-out feature of this location: Anton, the gentleman in charge of assisting customers with purchasing such things. Anton helped us find four matching appliances from the same manufacturer (a fridge, dishwasher, stove and low-profile microwave to mount above said stove), secure the best combined discount, as well as several hundred dollars worth of store credit, in the form of gift cards and rebates, which we later used to purchase a 50" inch TV for free. While the rest of the employees are mostly indifferent, aloof, or just plain clueless at times, Anton is worth five stars on his own! Skip the rest, and head straight for the best! read more

I was shopping for a new computer and Best Buy had a computer that also offered a trade-in value for my old computer. I put the information in and they said my computer was worth $120 as a buyback so I bought the computer from Best Buy and I brought in my old computer and they said it was worth worthless. The manager told me that he couldn't find my order and when I showed it to him on my phone. He said that he didn't know what information I put in for the computer to come up with a $120 value. The Best Buy program after I put in a couple items kept automatically coming up with the same information for my computer because I had purchased it from them. This was the worst Best Buy I have ever visited. After being told by the call center that a product was available here, I drove to this location only to be told that they do not actually have the product. When I asked why the call center is providing incorrect information, I was told by a very smug and rude manager that he "will take care of it" and he was very dismissive. I went in to buy a new iPhone in the evening and I was told the person who does that was busy for at least an hour, so I left to come back another day. About a month later I decided to buy the phone on the bestbuy website to save time and it was all set for in-store pickup. It says it will be ready within the hour. So I go in an hour later and guy says it's not ready. So I wait an ADDITIONAL 2 hours and go back in, guy says not ready. He then looks and says the phone I bought is out of stock. I told him to cancel the order and I'll buy elsewhere. There are some major checks and balances being missed here, who if anyone is managing this place? Rude customer service. Was trying to return a Christmas return. I was still in the return window. As noted and told to the associate and the manager that came over it was a Christmas gift. They treated me like I stole the razor. And kept getting more in helpful. They went as far as telling me I needed to bring the person who gave me the gift in to prove they bought it from their store. I was told they may have paid cash, But they would not even give me a gift card for the cost of the razor. Or the sales price over Christmas, kept treating me as a thief. The product was not on clearance, it is a product you could go in and buy still today. ($69.99 Currently). And I contacted customer service from the online app, they said same thing. If you don't have receipt there is no service. I'm am going to post on every website possible to let them know customer service is important. And they need to better train their employees. I pay a little more at Best Buy because their staff is knowledgeable and I always get great suggestions. Due to Covid, I mostly shop online, call for info., and, then, use curbside pick-up. I found out today, that most of the Best Buy stores no longer accept calls at their locations. You are sent to some outsourced call center, even if you have questions about one particular store.   Way to make your customers feel all warm and fuzzy, BB. I have been a customer since Best Buy opened. However, if I can't ask questions and get knowledgeable (not "canned") answers, I'll shop at Amazon which is always hassle-free. read more

Best Buy at Cascades Station, Portland, has always been the best options, best values, and best service for me--electronics, small and major appliances. Recently I visited the store for a return, but want to speak to an appliance sales person first. I stood behind two other customers. After about 10 minutes, Ricky the manager came up and offered his help. In no time, I had my questions answered and made a return at the customer service counter. I have had other sales consultant provided me with excellent, expert service. We were supposed to have our new range delivered today. We rented a dolly to move the old one outside where it will be picked up tomorrow. The refrigerator is in the middle of the kitchen, moved out of the way for delivery. It was supposed to be here between 1230 and 430. No one ever came. Called the store and were told the driver brought it back to the store with him-no explanation as to why and they won't reschedule a delivery until Saturday. What a bunch of incompetent morons. Misleading advertising and horrible customer support. I bought an Apple tv online on the 5th of July with shipping confirmation to be delivered on the 7th of July. On the 8th if July I get an email that item has been indefinitely delayed. I reached out to customer service on their app via online chat, on the 10th. Went through four different staff members that just kept transferring my question to other customer care representatives. If the item is NOT available why advertise it on your website? This is the biggest store I've been in - it had a full Magnolia and Pacific Sales in it, along with an Apple Store and Microsoft / Samsung specialists. I found an Apple Watch band I had been looking for online for weeks, and a docking station for my Dell and Mac to use. This store had all the inventory I could want and then some. In our lives we purchase things that occasionally are incorrect, for Pete's sake give people more than 15 days to return items. Give store credit after 15 days. Because of this policy they lost out me buying a television from them today, and it was going to be an expensive TV. I was planning on putting the store credit I thought I was going to get, but alas their crappy return policy cost them a customer. I hope the $49.99 item they would not take back was worth losing out on a $1,000 or so purchase of another item. Even though I live in SW, when I need something from Best Buy I Drive all the way to the Cascade Station location. Why? Because the level of customer service, education and assistance is superior. I bought a new condo recently and needed a washer and dryer, vacuum and several other items. With so many choices and marketing pitches that make it challenging to understand the product features and benefits, I needed to work with the reps or managers to compare and contrast like items. The level of knowledge of the Blue Shirts is impressive. I made sure to express my needs and specific must haves. I don't need someone trying to sell me the highest price item because sometime, based on my needs, good is good enough! At this location, they ask and listen to my needs, help me evaluate, review the trade offs and truly assist me. When I had problems with some items, they exchanged without any hassle. Yes, there are some items that are more expensive than at other stores, but they will always price match. And they have great sales. I do the research and when it's advantageous, this is the Best Buy location I go to for electronics and appliances. Shout out to Trevor, the manager in Appliances, for all his assistance. read more

Not only was she incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, she made the process of enabling my iPad efficient and painless. Bethany also made sure I understood the process of accessing my files on my home internet and reminded me of her availability that evening if I had any further questions after leaving the store. This Best Buy location is the biggest I've been to. It has a large "Magnolia" home theater studio (several "rooms" with very high-end televisions and sort of high-end audio equipment). It has a huge selection, is bright, clean, very open-feeling, and generally has sufficient staff to assist when needed. This location also has a very large major appliance selection. read more

An older lady named Jo was "helping" us out. She was greatly put off by us coming in for an iPad color swap. Then when we wanted to do a trade in? Oh forget it. She was so mad. She needed to verify my information to continue with the trade in so I offered her my passport. (To get a passport you have to send in birth certificate and various other forms of ID and it's a much more in depth process to get a passport than a state ID.) She refused to accept my passport and my husband offered her his ID instead. She verified my name and address with his state. We just got married so my last name is different. Our addresses are also different. So you are telling me, I can't use my passport to prove who I am but I can use anyone in line behind me to verify someone they never met?
