I been visiting this Home Depot to just gander around the last few weeks while waiting for Costco to open. A recent purchase was a 'Tropicana' Plant! It's awesome and can't wait for it to grow! I also stop in to pick up a bag of their organic potting soil to have on hand. Really good price and quality for it. This location is next to the Portland Airport / off of airport way and Glenn Widing Dr. It's in the industrial zone, so it seems like it's all corporate buildings, but there's a shopping center. The building is kind of hidden in the back, next to a Dutch Bro's, 7/11 gas station, and Michales. It does not seem to be too busy (I went early in the am) and the store is kept pretty clean. I believe a lot of Washingtonians come over to save on sales tax. Staff is nice and helpful, and I actually noticed that they had carts everywhere accessible, which was great cause of course I needed a cart in the end! All around a good store! read more

Even though I now live in SW, this is still my go-to Home Depot. Obviously I'm a creature of habit! I like the location because when I'm out this way, I can go next store to Michaels Crafts and down the street to Cascade Station where I can't resist perusing through Marshalls, HomeGoods and Ross for bargains. So it makes the trip worthwhile. Can't say the customer service is anything more than average here; usually it depends of the day/time and whose working. I always have the "deer in the headlights look" which usually draws the customers service people to me; but sometimes, I can wander up and down aisle after aisle and not find any help. Luck of the draw. Yesterday I was there because I was trying to figure out a solution to keep my cat from escaping under the retractable screen door that leads to a balcony many, many stories above ground level. Since I live in a condo, HOA dictates that only retractable screen doors are allowed. To keep the little Houdini from escaping onto the balcony where she likes to leap onto the 3 inch railing and tightrope walk, I first bought a 36x18" white board and placed it across the doorframe in front of the screen so she couldn't nuzzle her head underneath. Within minutes she figured out another escape route. So I'm back at Home Depot looking for heavy foam or rubber siding which would enable me to wedge the board tightly into the door frame. Mike, one of the service reps, immediately recognized and was impressed with my MacGyver intentions, and after giving it some thought, showed me some foam tape. Unfortunately it was too thin and Would require adding adding multiple layers which means higher probability it wouldn't be durable. So went with my second idea to buy another board the same size to make an L frame. This would enable me to brace it against the screen door from the outside so the kitty can't push through. While there I also exchanged a new Delta two in one shower head that had cracked. Home Depot replaced without question. Home Depot serves a purpose. When I have a choice, I go to smaller hardware stores because it's easier for me to navigate and they definitely provide 1:1 service. But when I need to make a Home Depot trip, this store is my preference. read more

Thought I'd slide into Home Depot to grab a couple things and get out before the late afternoon traffic. I hit a major hang-up after finding an electric drill I wanted to buy, as it was locked to the shelf, for security reasons. And so it begins the saga... The Lord of The Home Depot Key. I approached 2 or 3 HD workers to ask if they could unlock the item but they just shrugged and told me there was apparently only 1 person who had a key: Ivan. Ivan is unhurried in every sense of the word. By this time, there were a group of us standing around, waiting haphazardly in some kind of queue, yet he dawdled, slow as molasses in January. I observed him many times getting side-tracked to other people (people not waiting for the key). Ivan was glaringly unconcerned of how many people were waiting just for him. Time ticked on. I came to realize there is a blaring phone ringing forever in here, that never gets answered. I'd developed a layer of moss waiting for Ivan when suddenly a young man (name: Asa) strolls over and casually asks if I need something unlocked?! He'd been near-by stocking. Reaches into his apron, pulls out a key *GASP* and unlocks the drill. I mean -- had he not seen us dying on the vine over here? SMH. In the end, I got the drill, thank you to Asa. But I did find the experience to be wasteful of my time. Getting in and out of here isn't the case. The employees felt oblivious, unobservant and idle. read more

This review is strictly for the on-line order and pick-up that I did. I didn't shop the store at all. As far as on-line ordering and in-store pick-ups go, there were no issues at all. My order was filled within 30 minutes, and communication via e-mail of the order status and pickup instructions were exemplary. There was zero wait in line to pick up my order, and the employee who helped me was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. read more

What kind of strange world do we live in where a business missing out on a $1,000 sale means nothing? This is what happens when a business like Home Depot gets to be as big as they are: The customer service experience has little value to them, when they can make it up in volume. My husband and I saved for two months to replace our broken dishwasher. We chose a lovely model, and bought 'er online with installation. We get our delivery date and time window (8 hours is NOT a window). The day of delivery arrives. We are so excited! I take the day off work and faithfully wait for the delivery men to arrive. I get a phone call and I'm told it's the driver, and they are 20 minutes away. Ten minutes later, I get a text message that states, "Sorry we missed you." Gobsmacked doesn't even begin to describe the feeling. I immediately call customer service. The lady was wonderful and sympathetic. Not enough good can be said of these people in those call centers. They are working with a broken system that is NO fault of theirs. She tells me that they claim they knocked and no one answered so they left. She also tells me they claim they tried to call me twice. They, in fact, did not call me. The lady informs me that I am, unfortunately, not the first person to deal with this exact situation. You would think that since you paid Home Depot, that Home Depot would be the ones making the delivery and installation. Nope! They use a third party with a horrible track record. This third party not only didn't attempt to call me when they were unable to get a response to a knock on the door, THEY WENT TO THE WRONG HOUSE ALTOGETHER!!! They went to the wrong house, knocked once, called NO ONE, and I'm certain thought, "Score, one less installation today, boys." Take a wild guess how long it took us to get our money back. If you guessed two weeks, you'd be right! So, our experience in trying to purchase a dishwasher with what we thought was a reputable company actually turned out to be a micro-loan of $1,000 to Home Depot with no interest. It might seem like a trivial amount, but it wasn't to us. I sit here today, looking at a still broken dishwasher, and vowing to never purchase anything from Home Depot ever again. I long for the days of reliable sales people, delivery men and installation experts who actually give a toss if the customer is happy. I didn't want much, I just wanted what we paid for. I have no idea who to trust now, but it certainly isn't Home Depot. read more

Customer service was so pleasant and full of information... next went to look at the doors. Same thing.. great pleasant customer service. This Home depot used to be so good, but there staff now is absolutely horrible, Sara at Pro Desk gives everyone attitude and she walks away from people. She does not help at all. She disappears hours upon the day. Every time when I need help with Pro Desk , she's not there, recommend her. Also, the manager there is complete garbage. read more

I have never had a bad experience in this HD. The woman who did my curbside pickup, more than once, was very polite and not off-put by my dog sticking his head out of the car window to say hello. Plus, they have never missed an item from my order. Sometimes there is a lack of items, but that's just how it is today, and it's not the fault of the employees. I bought a hanging basket style pothos plant, and it has not only done very well, but exploded with growth in the last two months. Their garden section is always well stocked and seems to be well organized. There's a good selection of tools, but if you need to buy a tool, plan for a wait because it seems there is only one employee with access to the locked tools. read more

Couldn't let this slide! Purchased a flat top grill over the summer and received the worst customer service hands down! I have worked grocery, warehouse, customer service and was a team lead at a competing store for reference. Arrived at the store around noon so to avoid crowds. First impressions was the security guard with the tactical vest. Not the best thing for me to see when walking into a store. Must be a high theft store which made me feel not so comfortable. Moving on to the product. There were no boxed grills on the floor to take, no problem! Looked for an associate and asked for help! While waiting I looked for top stock to make the process quicker. Found the overstock but the associate that I just talked to was no wear to be found. Had to track that person down only to find her having a personal conversation with another employee. When I told her that I found the product over head she looked at me like she had never had a conversation just 5 minutes ago. She actually had the nerve to tell me what are you talking about like as if I was bothering her. A little perturbed at this moment. Kept my cool and had to explain again that I found the grill. She then replied the fork lift operator is busy and he will get to me when he can. Ok! No problem I'll wait. Operator arrived and let me tell you this guy was even worse! Zero personality and looked pissed that he had to do his job. What in the world is going on at this store? Do you guys even properly train your employees? Honestly the only good service that we received was the check out. I will avoid this store at all cost and take my business somewhere else. Product selection is lacking. Yesterday I visited Shorty's in Vancouver AND Dennis' 7 Dees in Beaverton, and both places far out shown The Home Depot for gardening options. Don't get me wrong, they sell quite a few plants at this location, but the selection of organic veggie starts in tiny. You can buy organic tomatoes and a couple other things and that's it. Also, they do not sell sheet moss, or even know what that is. Also, they are ALL ABOUT ROUNDUP. It's everywhere in this place. You walk around and you think to yourself, 'wow, they really want me to buy Roundup'. Positive things: Open until 10 pm. It's pretty easy to return things. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. DO NOT order a major appliance from Home Depot. If you are able, pay a little more to a local business instead. The Saga: On January 23rd, I ordered a refrigerator based on a salesperson in-store checking the local warehouse inventory & telling me that there were 40+ in stock (as my refrigerator had stopped cooling & I needed a new one ASAP). That said, the wait time for delivery was still 2.5 weeks out! I ordered the fridge anyway (even though it wasn't my first choice & would have spent more money if there was a better option in stock). On February 9th, my delivery date, i was given a 4-hour window at the end of the day (putting me 13th on the schedule). As I watched the clock tick & the numbers go down, with 35 minutes left in my window, and 7 deliveries showing ahead of me, I received a call telling me "the truck broke down." I assumed I'd be given a delivery the next day (Friday). Instead, I was told Monday was the soonest date available & transferred to another person when I kindly expressed frustration and asked for a morning time slot. The other person told me that she couldn't do anything (schedules are automated and since I live close to the warehouse, they work their way back from furthest to me), but that I should call back on Sunday to verify my delivery the next day. Sunday night I called and was told that my position the next day was, AGAIN, 13th. And there was nothing that could be done. Monday the 13th, 3 weeks out from purchase date of an IN STOCK fridge, I received a call 2 hours into my time slot telling me "the truck broke down" and I'd need to reschedule. I was, once again, transferred to another person when I expressed frustration. Once again, this person could do nothing for me, I couldn't get delivery the next day and I couldn't specify an early delivery slot. It's Tuesday, the 14th of February, and I am doubtful that I will get my fridge this week (delivery rescheduled for this Thursday). Is it even in stock? Will I be 13th on the automated schedule again? How many times has it been moved onto a truck & off a truck (will it be damaged)? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How this has negatively disrupted my life: For over 3 weeks now, I've gone to the market every 3 days to buy 2 ice blocks to keep things cold enough. The nearest market that sells these requires 30 minutes of drive time. I came down with Covid in the middle of this saga, and had to have blocks of ice delivered 3 times. I've spoken with 5 customer service people - none of whom can offer any help or compensation for me. Since they are in no way responsible, and I imagine they are yelled at regularly, I feel powerless and stifled. It is the behemoth of Home Depot and the billionaire owners who I'm extremely angry with. I've been told that I can't received any type of compensation until I receive the product! The product that I paid for over 3 weeks ago! This company has me (and I'm sure MANY others) over a barrel and doesn't care in the least. My ONLY recourse seems to be leaving this review (and others on other sites), demanding compensation (in the form of money), and finding a local store with actual customer service. read more

This Home Depot store is the worst (almost as bad as any Lowes). Online product inventory is not accurate; always make you believe they have more in stock than other HD stores. Every time I call the store, no one picks up the phone. When I'm at the store, employees are useless. The water they drink in this location must be off. Corporate should consider change up the staffing at this location. read more

I ordered a new Rheem Platinum 12 year, 40 gallon gas water heater on July 25th that was out of stock in this store. Available in other Home Depot stores. It arrived AUGUST 22nd! Just short of a month! If you need a water heater sooner, go to another Home Depot, Lowes or somewhere else. A positive, it's a great water heater and recommend it highly. I was promised it sooner. I thought it would be shipped from the other store in days. No, it came from Rheem after they manufactured it. Ridiculous! I'm sitting now in my home with bare plywood floors due to Home Depot failing on my recent carpet purchase. I removed furniture, carpeting and padding for them. Supposed to be installed over a week ago. So we camp in our home waiting! They will be Yelped on it whenever I get it installed! read more

This review is of the corporate office, not the PDX retail store itself. However, the PDX store was involved in the fulfillment of my order. I paid for and scheduled delivery of a refrigerator 45 days prior to my delivery date in order to head off any supply chain issues. The website and staff confirmed the unit was in stock at the time of my order. Home Depot immediately charged the unit on my credit card, and I paid interest on such balance. Two days before my scheduled delivery date, I was notified that the delivery was cancelled - my refrigerator was rescheduled to be delivered one to two months later! The unit was not in stock and on back order. I understand supply chain issues, but Home Depot sold me a unit that they clearly did not have (although the website stated it was in stock when I paid for it). And I carried the cost of the fridge on my credit card while I didn't have possession of the unit! Meanwhile, I had to move to my house a week later without a refrigerator and all of my food spoiled. Home Depot was deceptive in stating such unit was actually in stock. They also violated Visa rules by charging my card when such unit was neither reserved nor delivered to me. While Home Depot did reverse the charge, I suffered the loss of my food and paid interest expense for an empty Home Depot promise/contract. This is fraud in my book. read more

These guys sold me a $900 dehumidifier last year that broke 8 months later, and are now refusing to honor the warranty. It appears to be a 'buy at your own risk' situation. The manufacturer said HD is responsible for replacement since it's still within the 1 year warranty, but they refuse to replace it, repair it, or offer any further solution. This is the last time I'll be setting foot in a HD. I just cancelled my $3200 order for a new gas range & hood that I ordered last week. They fought me on that, too. As a customer, I expect a guarantee that the business selling me an expensive piece of equipment stands behind their product, and if it breaks prematurely, or is faulty, they will do everything in their power to resolve it. I am shocked by how they are handling my situation. I don't understand how they justify not honoring a warranty. They're placing blame on the manufacturer, while the manufacturer is explaining that this should easily be replaced through the HD store. I really don't care who's fault it is. That's pointless. I want to resolve this situation so I'm not stuck with a broken $900 piece of equipment that's still covered under warranty. I'll be going to Costco from now on for any large purchases. read more

Curbside pickup here is a joke. Hey, I need to grab some things before I fly to do some volunteer work... great idea, I will just do curbside pickup. Quick and easy. Right? Checked in. Waited. Called the number they have posted. Nobody answers. I go in.. giant line. (And technically I have been waiting longer than any of these people.) Call again, no answer. Do I give up and get on a plane or do I keep waiting? I left 30 minutes for this quick stop figuring it would be plenty. 35 minutes later I am panicked... finally find someone to help and learn they pulled the items and then apparently lost them. Ugh. Makes me sad. Now I have to spend time finding what I need instead of doing the work I am traveling to do. read more

Not an issue with the store as much as with the customer service. Bought a new GE combo washer and dryer from online. Got it damaged. Couldn't even get any help for 4 days. Would have one guy say they are closed at noon. Other guy would say he's talking to GE, and would end the call after having me on hold for any hour with no follow up. Called them myself again and would get a response that they are closed now. Called them again the next day again they tried telling me that I'm out of the 72hr return policy even though I contacted them with the same day of receiving the unit. Later called them again got transferred over to Lydia Lay Resolutions Expediter who said she will personally contact GE and get everything figured out to have the unit either replaced or returned. That was on 8/8/2023. After not hearing back from here I messaged her couple of days later messaged her again and received "Sorry about yesterday I was out sick. But I did get an email from our DET team this morning. I explained how this is a system issue that is the center of this issue. They are working with GE on a replacement for you. I am sure I will have more updates for you as the day goes on." After that message I did except to receive something at the end of day but no answer. Few days later I had to reach out myself again to get an update. The response I got was "I have not had an update yet. But I am keeping on them asking for any update." Which was on 8/14/2023 which is a week after Lydia Lay "started working" on my case. After that I did try to reach out again but did not get a response at all this time. Ended up reaching GE myself to have one of their techs come out and fix the washer. It's now 9/3/2023 and Lydia Lay has not answered me. And never had my washer replaced or anyone at home depo show any care for the fact that I was stuck without a washer for more then two weeks and they ended up wasting my time and not helping at all. At the end still ended up doing everything myself. Would not recommend ordering anything from them because there's a good chance of receiving something damaged and they will not care about getting anything sorted out. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! read more

If you need help with something especially when it comes to get a tool behind closed bars, you're better off getting a pair of bolt cutters and serving yourself, or driving half an hour to another location. read more

UGH! Which bean counter decided that ALL checkout stands are now self-serve? At a time when customers are looking for more personalized service, HD is going the other way. We had some wood pieces that needed to be measured, scanned, and input to size. We were sent, by another employee, to the "Returns" register. Guy acted as if we committed a crime by asking him to check us out. Kept asking who sent us there. Here's the thing, if you are forcing your customers to do your labor either lower prices, give us a credit, or send us a paycheck. Way to make shopping here even more impersonal that it already is. Won't be back...headed for the "blue" store or I'll shop on Amazon where I get superb customer service. read more

This was a much better experience than I had at Sears outlet. The selection on some items were better than others. They only had 5 displays of gas ranges. It was nice to be greeted by 2 employees. But it would have been nice to be checked upon and to see if I had any questions. You can definitely tell you are in a big box store. I prefer the atmosphere and experience of a smaller independent store. Although delivery is free, you still need to purchase hoses and cords. I'm glad I asked because this info would've been a shock to me had I purchased something and not known that they weren't included in price. Glad I'm just comparing prices today- unless of course I find a deal I can't pass up! I liked the selection of washer and dryers, but again you don't get a discount buying a set as opposed to one or the other! It's the full price of each. I will, however stick with Home Depot for my home and garden projects! read more

I do love Home Depot. I can wander around for hours dreaming up my next home improvement projects... This is not as clean as my home depot near Sunset high school, but nice people. The lot is filled with Washington plates, avoiding the sales tax. seems like a high number of contactors mid-day. The entrance is down the road by burger king, not a direct driveway off the main road. read more
