This location is closest to my home, so if I have something to purchase or better yet if Best Buy has a deal on something I can't refuse then I'm on the way asap!. Well this particular visit I made a purchase on a Ridge Magnetic Power Bank. I had a Best Buy $10 off merchandise and because this device is designed to charge Apple devices. For making this purchase Best Buy threw in 4 Apple product subscriptions: 1: 3 months of Apple Arcade. 2: 2 months of Apple T.V 3: 3 months of Apple Fitness 4: 3 months of Apple Music To me this was the best option after looking at other retailers who wasn't offering this deal so this was a no brainer going with Best Buy! If you're in the line for a new device of appliance or anything associated, then you should consider giving Best Buy your business! I will return and recommend this establishment!. read more

They usually have ok customer service but today, at the checkout I had a awful experience. The associate had star earrings, some type of locs, clown makeup crochet diaper on her head. I was standing in line, the associate skipped me for another customer when she realized her error, she spoke to me in a nasty manner. She was undid the safety barrier she let it slap off, flying in my direction. As I was following her to where the cards were supposed to be, she was deliberately running so fast I could not keep up. Never been a fan of Best Buy. Every time I purchase something from there stores. I always end up taking it back for damage or not working. My sister just recently purchased all of her appliances for her home. First they messed up the delivery date. When the dryer was delivered it had a big dent on it when they took it out the box. Feb 3, 2025. Recently, I had been having problems with applications popping up on my cell phone. I tried everything to remove them, but nothing I knew worked. I went to Geek Squad for help where I was greeted by a very congenial woman named India. I explained my problems with the cell phone and within no time, she was able to eliminate all the unwanted applications. I am so grateful to India for getting my cell phone working properly again. TERRIBLE STORE DO NOT GO I have a loyal customer for many years at this Best Buy, but over the past year they've screwed me over twice this year first I bought a meta quest 2 a bought a warranty for $50 extra a few months later it broke I've always known the meta-quest two to be a very reliable device so I was confused on why it broke so I took it in and asked for an exchange. They said they don't carry it anymore and that no other Best Buy's carried either So they made me pay full price for a Meta quest three a few months after that, I bought a computer for school. I got a warranty on it because I thought There's no way they wouldn't have the computer in stock so I bought it a few weeks later my dog broke it, but the screen only shattered so we gave it to Best Buy and they sent it off for assessment and repair. They said that if they couldn't repair it then they would give us a new one for free because we had a warranty. they said it would only take a few weeks for it to get back. months later they still didn't have it back so they said that they would just give us a new one,because we had a warranty and we previously discussed the computer being free they made us pay a $200 difference for another computer that wasn't even the same and it's worse than the computer I previously had! they have lost my business. We used Geek Squad to rescue information off a computer that had been damaged past repair. We got a text and email stating it was ready for pickup but when we got there it was not ready, and we needed a BIT code to get into the information. Not only did they walk us through that information but India spoke with the manager and we received a refund for half the price of the service. We realize that mistakes happen but taking responsibility is how a successful business with integrity is run. read more

This is an update from 2015. Yes, time creeps on -Smiles! I am so happy with the service Miguel provided me. He took the time to find out the specs of my house, current wifi equipment, isp provider, and the problems that I came into the store to address. Then, he went into the many options that were available to me. When I asked a very specific question about my current equipment, he requested assistance from the store's network specislist to get me the best info. The network specialist came over with an attitude, and he looked at me and then pointed to a wifi extender set and walked away. There were NO other customers in the store. I was also ignored by the two reps in the home alarm area. I wanted to buy some new cameras but they ignored me too. I am glad that they took working hours to discuss their weekend plans without me interrupting their giggling. I have been a Best Buy credit card holder for 25yrs+ and thus is the first time I am disappointed in this store. Thanks to Miguel and his desire to ensure that I received the info and equipment that best served my needs, I left pleased with Miguel's service and my new hi-tech router. The store manager needs to check on these supervisors and the other lame customer service people. It does not help to have customer service people who are planning their St. Paddy's day weekend plans while customers search for someone who will actually sell them Best Buy products. If I could leave zero stars, I TOTALLY would. The customer service at this establishment has been absolutely AWFUL, RUDE, and DISRESPECTFUL. In the past, I have returned over $1,000 worth of devices BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL DEFECTIVE, yet I NEVER received a refund. Instead, they took my devices and REFUSED to exchange or refund them. Awful experience! They are nice when you buy. There was a delivery issue. Had to wait two weeks, okay, but then, without reason or explanation, after notifying me that it was coming three times through text, they suddenly called during the delivery window and said it could not be done, to wait another full week, and when I went to the store to ask about the issue, the manager was sarcastic. His first words were: (sarcastically) I hope the driver is okay. No one said anything about the driver/installer on the phone. No explanation, no checking on why a whole week was needed to deliver, no figuring out what the problem was, and the manager just stared at me and asked me what to do. Yes, I was frustrated and desired some explanation or help, but I was not mean or rude. How about at least say sorry or offer some kind of help or explanation. I will NEVER shop at that location again. I took off a day of work to wait for the delivery, and now have to take another day off because of an unexplained delivery issue, and the manager could not even be bothered to say sorry or make a phone call to see what the issue was or if a closer delivery date could be arranged. I am not a complainer, but if this is what customer service is turning into, then I welcome A.I. as a replacement. I mean, at least try, even pretend to be a little sorry or empathetic. Lastly, I did not ask for money back or anything. I just wanted for the manager to at least, maybe, make a phone call, see what the issue was, or try to see if an earlier delivery date could be arranged. He tried nothing, not even offering even a simple sorry. He just asked me what I wanted to do and said I could cancel the order. Sooo many issues..... Sold one item after over an hour of very detailed conversations about what I want. Was given the box, drove 1.5 hours home just to find out it wasn't the right item (sold one, given another). Customer Service was useless so had to drive 3 hour round trip again.... Again had the convo about what I wanted, was told they had the right item but the sales rep grabbed the wrong box. Decent discount given for the hassle and sent home with directions to add a 4 port HDMI. Got that hooked it up, SURPRISE doesnt work. Several hours with Geek squad later and the they determined the monitor does not have the capabilities I was told. Only option now is to call the store, who never picks up to see what the resolution will be or drive another 3 hour round trip and see if third time is the charm... The worse experience I ever had. The employee was great and tried here best to help me. But the manager Eric was flat out a racist I purchased a microwave on 11/16 and it looked like they lost it or something the 1st delivery was canceled the second delivery they canceled and the 3rd delivery the guys came to install the microwave with no microwave. I visited the store to explain my experience the store was empty the manager Eric Responded to me by saying. "Forget all that what are you trying to accomplish? I was shocked by his response. He then told me to go to customer service to let them know without showing any concern for my situation. The situation finally ended when Eric said this is over and refunded me my money without an apology.Eric the manager just handed me my receipt and walked off. My apple phone prompted me to use this location for service. This store is a complete mess. They use the front checkout area as a storage for shipments. The geeksquad and CS area is a disaster as well. The computer area towards the back is also used as a storage area for shipments. Over half of the shelves are empty and the displays for the empty shelves are displaying outdated and old products. Best Buy as a whole company has really disappointed me over the last 4 years after dropping the rewards program (elite, elite plus...etc) and this store and most other stores shows the amount of care they put into their B&M stores....none. I don't recommend this store to anyone. read more

We went to get two 60+ inch TVs and new receivers with appropriate accouterment. Well we were trying discuss several units when we realized we're shouting... Ok somebody cranked up a bt speaker. No big, no one was over there anymore so I turned it off. Just after I get back to the TVs 2 rows over music is blasting again... I go over, nobody there so I change the setting on the speaker to usb and waited. It was the guy working the door. So we left and went to BJs right next door we got the tvs we wanted and we'll just order the receivers online. Management has completely lost control in that store. Think of it not so much as a best buy and more of a better buy. Save some time and hit the one on Independence for more service and less lord of the flys. read more

Since Best Buy is the only store in the area to sell pc parts I have no choice to go here. So when the store isn't busy at all the employees aren't helping a lot of people like just now I had a question about what I'm getting but I couldn't get anybody to help me and there wasn't anyone at the front by the doors to ask for some help and I had 5 staff members that walked right past me and they didn't even asked if I needed any help. So that's why I don't recommend Best Buy much anymore especially for pc parts when it comes to pc part I highly recommend Micro Center they have everything you need in stock to build a computer and the staff in the store was very helpful friendly and knowledgeable read more

The store looks okay...like any other Best Buy. The CS service staff seems friendly! HOWEVER, the reason for the 1-star rating is as follows. I had made an online purchase the evening prior with the store pick-up option. Everything was smooth when I came in to pick up the items I had purchased. I went to open one of the items when I got to my car, excited to use it right away...only to find out that the box had already been opened! There were scratches on the actual item inside of the box. It dawned on me then that this store just sold me an open-box/used item as NEW and at FULL PRICE! Good thing I was still in the parking lot. I took it right back in to exchange for a new one with a sealed box. Unfortunately, that was the last one in the store and stores in the surrounding areas. I returned it for a refund and had to order it online from the manufacturer. Lesson learned...check boxes closely as you can't rely on stores to be honest anymore (which is sad). read more

Would only recommend if you need item same day. If not, buy online at Amazon. Waited too late and needed ti purchase a gaming headset. Purchased a headset for $370. Cashier wanted me to pay $.10 for a plastic bag. If it wasn't two days before Christmas, I would've ordered on Amazon. For me it's the principle of the matter I'm not paying out right for a plastic bag. Add the cost into the product you're selling if you have to. My wife came in to best buy and wanted to purchase 2 pairs of samsung earbuds from then but she specifically asked the sales employee if she could exchange them if they're defective. Employee said yes without any issues even though the sale was through samsung but had to be picked up at that best buy location. She asked before the purchase and when she picked both pairs up, one of them were defective so she went back to best buy to exchange them for another pair and manager said that we would have to go through samsung. Manager said that we will train their employees better on the policies and simply apologized. This is the last time we will be shopping there. The worse experience to date. read more

Terrible shopping experience! I went for a modem/router, external hard drive, and several other small ticket items. Employees all over but non stop to help. Their router aisle was 1/3 empty and disorganized. So after about 30 minutes of wondering around aimlessly trying to make eye contact with an employee I finally find most of the things I'm looking for and go to the checkout line because I don't want to be there anymore. Guess what. NO CASHIER. At the front entrance check out, NO CASHIER at all. The yellow shirt at the door doesn't even notice people are waiting in line, he's got his nose in a smart phone. So I put my stuff down on their candy shelf and walk out. Mr. Yellow-Shirt sees me and still doesn't acknowledge my presence. I went to Best Buy at Chesapeake Square and was extremely disappointed, I went in to buy a wireless headset needless to say I don't know much about them so I need a little help, the first person that I encountered in electronics stated that she didn't work that department and would get someone to help me, the guy that came to help had NO CLUE what he was doing and told me as much. I asked him to tell me something about a certain headset and he told me that it must be good because there weren't many of them, not a good reason to buy something in my opinion, then I asked him a few other questions and he told me that I could read the box to find out, by the way, the writing was microscopic then he told me that I could call the customer service number for the product, I informed him that it would be nice to find out these things before I bought it, then I walked up to the front asked to speed to a manager, I waited what I thought was a reasonable amount of time then asked them for their corporate's number, an employee walking by rattled it off and kept walking then I attempted to find the entrance to the line for the registers, what a joke that was. The entrance was dropped off so I had to find an alternate route, they had only one cashier and she was tied up with a long transaction of sorts and the line was getting long at this point, I went to customer service to find out what the problem was. I haven't ever liked this chain store. Most of the time no one speaks to you. And while I usually don't want to be spoken to, a simple question of if I need anything is appreciated. Nope. Nothing like that going on here. It's a fairly large store but selection seems small. We come here from time to time but never buy anything. My gift card is still in my wallet....I can't ever find anything here I want. I can usually find it elsewhere cheaper. Best Buy's customer service has been going down for years. I went to look for a specific cord. A sales associate didn't know what I was talking about! Then he got his supervisor, and she, without looking, goes "NO NO! We don't sell that, nuh uh, we don't. You gotta go to Walmart for that". Then I looked at the wall, and down, and I pulled out the cord and said "oh you mean this right here? The one you don't sell?" And I walked away. I purchased a new device with a riduclously expensive warranty plan (Lenovo yoga) to work from home. Within 3 months the device would no longer accept a charge. I took it to the geek squad at the Chesapeake square location in Virginia, where I was told the charging port appears to have failed and they have to order a part - it would be about a week. Two weeks have now past. At the end of week one, I called and held for about 30 minutes before being told it looked like they had to replace the motherboard. Its the end of week two and you would think they would have the common courtesy of calling OR even texting me with an update on when I could expect my device back or a replacement laptop - as the only info they provide is a very generic tracking email sent when it was dropped off with no time estimate of completion.. called again today held twice for 20 minutes before hanging up. This is extremely frustrating and very poor customerservice! I will purchase my electronics elsewhere in the future. read more
