The most frustrating part of this experience was the escalation process. I was specifically asked to reach out for further support, which set the expectation that there would be some level of review, flexibility, or resolution beyond what I was told in-store. Instead, after taking the time to follow up, I was given the exact same response with no additional options and no ability to escalate further. At that point, it didn't feel like escalation was designed to help it felt like a step put in place to save face rather than actually resolve the issue. Being directed to take extra steps just to arrive at the same outcome made the process feel unnecessary and frustrating. Customer service should focus on solutions, not just process and in this case, there was no real resolution. Because of this experience, I won't be purchasing from Best Buy again. Went here to look at PS5's and browse around the store. Was greeted right away and was shown the PS section and game area. Didn't decide to buy it but on the way out noticed they had Pokémon cards behind the counter so bought 3, as that was the limit, and headed out. I have been a loyal Best Buy customer ever since my father first took me there to buy a computer desk and a computer. I even recently purchased a new washing machine at the store near where i live earlier this year, and I was given a gift card as a promotional offer (see attached photo). Today, I was subjected to extremely poor treatment by the staff. It's my first time visit this location's. The employees kept giving me a hard time, insisting that I needed to speak with a manager for every issue. When the manager finally arrived, they completely ignored us. Things took a turn for the worse when, after a brief exchange, I was suddenly and without any notice or justification, warned that I was "Trespassing." I felt deeply insulted--I've lived in this city for 27 years and have never encountered a store manager acting like a dictator, declaring that I was invading their territory. It seemed that the manager was intoxicated by her own authority, or perhaps it was due to my Asian background. I couldn't help but notice that most of the customers in the store were white, and this city has a predominantly white population, which made me feel that I was being discriminated against. From the moment I entered, no one offered to assist me or greet me. I would rather toss the gift card they gave me into the trash than step foot in a store that defines me as trespassing. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all costs--don't let their so-called "authority" bully or discriminate against you. read more

DO NOT come to Corona Best Buy at all costs. I was refused service here and even threatened by the manager. I was not dressed inappropriately, I did not refuse to pay, I did not steal, and I did not cause any trouble. Still when I asked someone else to buy on my behalf, staff still refused, saying just because they saw my face, they wouldn't sell to me. That is blatant discrimination. The manager was arrogant, rude, and wouldn't even look at me when I asked simple questions. I am a cancer patient and try to stay positive, but the treatment here made me feel discriminated against for both race and disability. Other Best Buys nearby greeted me kindly and treated me with respect, which shows how badly this store is managed. The only exception was one young woman in the middle section at Corona who was polite and helpful, everyone else was hostile. I've already reported the manager to higher-level management and hope they will take corrective action. Many other reviews show I'm not the only one with this experience. No customer service here. There is some shadey business going in with this store. And i'm going to say Yes it has to do with pokemon products. They will tell you no pokemon, but then sell to the next person. They will tell you to come back the next morning for pokemon then tell you theres none when you come back(even when i was the first customer walking in at opening). All other best buys allow you to order sku's in store but this one says no they dont do it. The employees also implement their own personal limits when all other stores follow what the corporate system allows. Why can't we just have a simple happy experience instead of power tripping employees. Isnt sales and revenue important? Service was great. I came in to return a product, and buy a couple of things. Admittedly, I was rude. I had the item with the wrong receipt and I was just outside the 14 day return policy. So by all rights, I should have just ate the item and bought what I needed and moved on. Instead I was cursing and being rude but Hanaa did a great job. I have been a loyal customer often choosing Best Buy over other "big box" brands. Recently, my mother Was looking to upgrade her Kitchen appliances. I suggested Best Buy because members at Eastvale were so helpful to us.  Thinking all locations were the same we went to the Corona store. The sales person was nice and we selected our items and were told they should be coming from the wherehouse.  Her items were delayed twice. When they did deliver it my mother was charged an additional $400 for items without warning.  My mother and I went to the Corona Store to lodge a complaint. We asked for the manager and were met by a supervisor ( I believe his name was Ismael ).  He had a very unprofessional attitude. I would describe it as "standoffish."   As we spoke with him he already appeared agitated and assumed a very defensive posture.  I cannot believe this young man is a manager, he had no tact, empathy or compassion. He just looked at us with a blank contemptuous stare as if he had no patience for us.  Going forward we don't plan on ever using Best Buy again P.S. This is very ridiculous and upsetting as I purchased a lot of items from Best Buy and am a total member and been for over 3 years since. Came here to pick up an online order and buy another item in store. Process was efficient. Lots of space in the aisles made it easier to distance inside and they require masks and everyone was wearing them that we saw. Person at the customer service counter was professional and helpful. The woman who was also at customer service went out of her way to let him know he could print a receipt for online orders since he wasn't sure. It's always nice to see coworkers helping crowdsource info to help everyone on the team do a better job. The person who sits by the front door was helpful in way finding. The one thing I will say is the protective plexiglass was really grimy and needs to be cleaned. It was off putting. Overall a great experience and would recommend this location. read more

On dec 31st 2024 around 12:37-12:59 pacific time, I spoke to the best buy customer service line since stores don't take calls no more and I encountered a rude agent. He told me his name was Edgar and he was awfully rude. He was telling me wrong information such as customers can't request open box items to be shipped to them because customers have to go to the store to inspect them which is wrong. Geek squad employees do that. So I was trying to tell him that but he was giving me attitude so I asked for his employee ID number and he refused. I then asked to speak to his supervisor but then he decided to hang up on me. Worst experience ever. Never had experienced something like this. Can't believe best buy has employees like this. They think because they are working remotely from home, they can get away with treating customers like this. Does anyone know how i can file a complaint? read more

They had me waiting for about 20 minutes and when i asked again a worker standing by the computer on the front told me how everyone is busy. Store was clean and organized. We weren't there to purchase anything, but to try/test out different headphones so we could help a friend decide on which one to get. Prices were competitive so no complaints there. We ended up buying something else. At the register, Monet, greeted us with a friendly smile. I went in to get my Apple Watch battery serviced since they are an authorized Apple service center. The geek squad individual that helped me told me incorrect information. I went to the Best Buy store in Riverside and they helped me get my watch serviced. It's been more than a few times I have had to go from the Corona store to the Riverside store. I get store credit for something I had insurance for that they didn't have in stock. I ended up settling for PlayStation plus membership which is equivalent to the store credit that they gave me. Standing in line for 25 minutes! then by the time my turns comes up the guy has no explanation on why I cannot get Ps plus membership with my store credit. I'm sick and tired of these non informative clowns that get hired at such place and give you no explanation on why I can't use my store credit that they just issued me for something I wanted to get instead of their scam insurance policies. What mind boggles me even more is how can an unqualified person even be sitting at the register. This five star review is for the store leader Brenda. Not Best Buy as a company, as I'll probably never shop there again. I had preordered a game for pick up at the Yorba Linda location, and when I got to the store the useless employees said that there was no more of the preorder bonuses left. I'm not sure how that can't even happen for a preorder done weeks ago. I cancelled my order with them, and thought I'd try the location near me to see if they had any of the preorder bonuses in stock. They didn't. But Brenda, one of the store leaders there went above and beyond in trying to locate a steelbook for me. She was able to get in touch with a couple different stores, and was able to order one to be shipped directly to me. Brenda is a prime example of great customer service, a skill that has diminished in retail in the last few years. It's no surprise that she is in the role that she is in with Best Buy, and I am confident that she will excel anywhere she goes. I hope BBY recognizes that these employees are so invaluable for a company to survive in the days of online ordering. I went here because I had such a bad experience with Home Depot's delivery service. I purchased awasher and dryer but canceled the order after 5 attempts to have them delivered. The service that I received from the person at the electronics department, he then took me over to the appliance department nd met up with Jonathon and Kyle, such great service!! Recent I ordered a TV mount for a Black Friday purchase and when I got home, I discovered that what I paid full price for as a new item had in fact been returned and pre installed. There was even a very used tape measure left in the box by the person who returned it. With a little ingenuity and a few parts I had around the house I was able to get the Sanus TV mount up on the television installed. Given the possibility I was inadvertently sold a used item, I originally had tried to reach out directly to the store to bring this incident to the store Manager's attention as I would hope this is not a common practice. After calling for two days and leaving three messages I became more frustrated on how hard it was to contact someone at the store than I was being sold a used item. Imagine if this was a gift for someone and I had taken the time to wrap it and ship it only to have them open and find it was a used. This lack of transparency and inability to talk with a manager at the store level shows me a flawed business practice. As a business owner myself, I understand how problems do occur time to time however, I always do my very best to be responsive to my clients. I also feel that it's important to support our brick-and-mortar stores for their continued success, and not to constantly rely on outlets like amazon.com. A simple phone call and an offer of an apology would've completely satisfied the issue and prevented this review. read more

I am absolutely bewildered. I specifically ordered this product as a Christmas gift online, as opposed to in store, so that it would be concealed by its packaging and I wouldn't have to worry about hiding the present until we were ready to start the gift wrapping process. The person who the gift was intend for saw the gift on the door step. Obviously I am very upset and disappointed in Best Buy and their "customer service" team, as they refused to do anything substantial to correct the situation. The supervisor I spoke to attempted to make excuses and refused to take any responsibility. They offered me a measly 10% discount. I have to waste MY time, energy, and money to return the product, buy it from a more reputable retailer, and find another Christmas gift to replace the ruined surprise that Best Buy caused. Even if it wasn't for Christmas, Best Buy left the product in serious risk of damage. Instead of packaging the product, they slapped on inconsistent tape around some of the edges. There are cut marks, a hole, and scuffs on the original product box; damaging the box and leaving it exposed to both bad weather and theft. After speaking with Best Buy's customer service supervisor I am left one option; to return the product, never give Best Buy my business EVER again, and to hopefully deterre potential customers from doing business with such an unempathetic and irresponsible company. read more

I walked In hoping to buy a tv. Went to the tv section, waited, walked around and saw one employee who seemed busy. I went back to the greeter and he told me because of Covid they no longer have salespeople and I would have to wait. I wasn't told to take a number, or wait in a line. I wondered at what point someone would wait on me and how could I control my place 'in line'...After waiting several more minutes without any help I walked out without buying anything.....I decided to return that Saturday since I thought the store would be busier with more employees. This time a clerk came up and we walked to the tv section. I showed him photos of where I wanted both televisions to be installed and how I wanted them installed. He said he understood, sold me one tv since I had already purchased the other one, and set me up with a Geek Squad installer. I paid and waited about a week for the equipment and installer. The installer arrived and told me he couldn't install the televisions as I had requested and that I needed to reschedule. I then had a licensed electrician install both of my sets. Obviously the clerk had not listened to me and mis-sold me some equipment....I watched the electrician open and unbox the new tv. I noticed in the lower right hand corner of the screen there seemed to be an abundance of plastic wrap on the perimeter of the set but paid no attention as I thought I would remove it the next day....To my chagrin it wasn't plastic wrap but a small crack in the lower right hand corner of the screen. I'm handicapped and was not able to remove the tv and had to wait several days for one of my sons to remove the damaged tv and help me return it.....I have never been so embarrassed in my life by the manager on duty. He inferred I was a liar and refused to even exchange the tv and that I had damaged the set myself. His 'proof' was that the box was in too good a shape for the set to have been damaged, I waited too long to return the tv, and the Geek installer had no notes on the installation!! Even though I plainly told the individual the Geek installer said he was unable to install the sets! I can't believe that even though I have spent thousands of dollars at Best Buy since the nineties and still have those receipts, they refused to exchange the defective $400 tv I had purchased. Obviously I probably will never buy at Best Buy again and I encourage others to NOT buy from them as well.....If I could rate this Best Buy less than a star I would... read more
