I've had 3 different stereos and backup cameras installed at this Best Buy - and every time Tom has handled the installations and been as helpful as possible. I just went in today to have my stereo repaired when I was quoted $150 from the Athens Best Buy - and Tom showed me that the fix was a simple new USB-C cord and I was only charged for the cord. I would absolutely drive back here from Athens again for any future issues or installations. He didn't ask any questions as far as what I was looking for, the purpose of me needing a laptop or anything. No SALES SKILLS SHOWN AT ALL. Kyle went above and beyond helping me choose the right AC unit, comparing features and protection plans. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and focused on helping me make the best decision. He even stayed late to make sure I could get the unit that same night. I ordered an Apple Watch from their store online and it appeared five days late and when it did appear, have an Apple Watch band. It had some cheap band that went with something like a Samsung so I'm leaving for a trip a trip and no longer have a watch they prevented me from being able to buy from anybody else because I purchased from them and now they're not honoring or finding a way for me to resolve this issue the only resolution they have is for me to refund the whole thing. We were in the store roughly about 20 minutes before seeing T... as he walked in to start his shift he is a manager here mind you beforehand my friend had to go and find someone because no one even acknowledged that we were in the store I then go and find someone she's talking ignoring me never acknowledged I was standing there and when I brought To T..'s attention, his reply was is that he were retail store we're busy but yet the systems are down, but people are standing around talking not one Best Buy associate their way over for the purchase beforehand. I did have to let him know that I've done management also and customer service and sales and for a customer to walk and it takes 20 minutes for them to even be acknowledge and they have to go and find someone to spend their money is complete BS and there is no excuse. I did let him know when he replied that we would do better that that's fine. Do what you want however, I will never be back to this location again and also this is the reason that most people are just purchasing online and most stores are shuttering because of foolishness like this. read more

SKU: 6621081Release Date: 5/16/2025 3 stores that I went to confirmed they had product and were selling it the next day. I went to wait at the Best Buy on Hammond Dr. Atlanta GA at 5am and was the 2nd person in line. When I got to customer check out they told me they didn't have that product. I was shocked. They then told me that the product was bought online and was in the process of being sent to a customer. The website says in store only under the item... I know they lied to me. About 15 people stood in line and waited and got nothing. I have very unsatisfied with how the release of this product went. I would rate the service a 1 out of 10 with 1 being the lowest. Please do better for the customer. I honestly feel back doored by Best Buy employees. They saw us waiting in line and acted like they didn't why we were waiting in line. Who doesn't like Best Buy? 5 stars because supervisor "Z" went above & beyond for his customer. I visited this location because I purchased the Alexa echo show on March 24th and a little after the 14 day period it stopped working and I did not buy warranty on it. However i took it to geek squad and they couldn't get it working either and recommended me to go through Amazon or try my luck with a supervisor and i said i will. I stood online and ask for the supervisor and told him what happen and provided my receipt. He was very understanding and even explained the china situation on electronics and he was nice enough to swap it out for me for a new one and this time i bought insurance on it and it cane out cheaper than he quoted. He even told me about other geek squad warranty and to find out he was the sup for geek squad & I really thanked him for his wonderful services he provided & i had a great day the rest of the day. I've had the most terrible experience at this store. I purchased a large tv and all kinds of receivers and sound equipment that was suggested by the salesperson. When the installers showed up they said they had sold me the wrong equipment. They installed the TV but had to return all the wrong equipment and buy new ones. I was leaving out of state for multiple months and they scheduled the installation for a few weeks later and sold me all the new equipment they said I needed. I paid for everything. I had someone be present on the appointment date in the house. They texted me and gave me a window of time they were going to be there. On the day io installation I get a message that I needed to make an appointment because apparently someone had added a new piece of equipment to my order which I already had and didn't need and because of that the installation was canceled without my knowledge. It was impossible to get any help from the company. Could not directly call the store. Every number I called would direct me to a new number. When I eventually got someone on the phone and gave all my information we would get cut off. I cancelled all my orders. I do not recommend doing business with this company. Customer service at this company is the worst and seems nobody knows what they are doing and everything is disorganized. read more

This Best Buy is located in the Perimeter Mall area at the southwest corner of Hammond and Ashford Dunwoody. Unless there is a huge sale going on, free parking is usually available in the lots. I suggest not being in the area at around the 5 pm rush hour during the week because the traffic is absolutely horrible. Every time I've visited this Best Buy store, the security person at the door is always attentive, and at least one of the floor sales people always approaches me and asks me if I need any help finding anything. Many times, the employees actually know the answers to my questions and provide their suggestions and advice or options on whatever it is that I'm considering on buying. I've bought many items over the last couple of years, and the cashiers try to get your purchase transactions completed as soon as possible. I've never had an issue whenever I either returned or exchanged items. The store always appears to be clean. read more

I come to this best buy pretty often for last minute technological needs. The employees are always very helpful the place is never too crowded. I appreciate that the price match Amazon prices because I'm sure its hard for them to compete. The biggest con is that their selection isnt as vast. There is an adaptor that I needed recently which they werent able to accommodate and I ultimately ended up having to go online to Amazon. I left a very happy customer because of how she was able to successfully navigate the complexities of AppleCare, warranty insurance, GeekSquad business processes, technology, and contracts. The Geek Squad manager was off for the day, and so I had escalated my issue to the store manager. The store manager had sent emails and texts to the Geek Squad manager but was getting no response. Then, by some miracle, she overheard my discussions with the store manager and proactively volunteered her time and talents to resolve the problem. She was not even working in Geek Squad -- I ran into her near the manager's desk. I hope she is an executive manager-in-training, because she has all the talents, intellect and business-savvy to make Best Buy the premier go-to store for technology products. Came to this Best Buy to buy 2 monitors. The selection was limited and there were not many on display. Parking here is terrible, they have the first 2 rows in front of the bestbuy as either pickup or handicap. So you either have to park way far back in those rows or off to the sides and on a rainy day, it makes you think twice about wanting to go to the store. read more

Wow, Best Buy has really improved the customer experience. I recently bought a new laptop and washer/dryer combo. Farhan went above and beyond to find inventory for my laptop so I could take one home that day and not even have to drive to another location. The delivery and install of the washer/dryer combo was great - and no charge. The installers were on-time (the app tracking and status text messages are nice), detail oriented to prevent damage in my house, even making sure all the setup was complete (WiFi). I returned about two weeks later to trade in my old laptop after transferring my data and the person working the counter wasn't sure how to process a paperwork return to credit the gift card back to the transaction. Lindsay (manager) was able to take care of it and also make a price adjustment because of a difference in price. I am impressed by the service I received and will start shopping here (at least for my larger purchases) instead of online moving forward. read more

I found the staff here to be exceptionally well versed on the products in the store, friendly and super helpful. I needed to purchase a Micro SD card for a new pan security camera. The very helpful front counter person hooked me up with a staff member, named Z who was very knowledgeable about the product that I needed. Z showed me the different price points on the cards, levels of what they offered and looked to see if the one I settled on was on sale. He then checked my security camera to see if it fit as is or needed the kit. I would definitely utilize this particular Best Buy when I need things due to the quality of help provided. DO NOT buy your appliances here and this is why: I purchased 3 brand new Kitchenaid appliances when we renovated our kitchen. They sold me a warranty and 2 of the 3 Kitchenaid appliances have broken. I'm on repair #5 for the refrigerator in less than 12 months. Best Buy has done nothing to help and said the repairs have to go through the manufacturer Whirlpool, who is even worse than Best Buy. So why did they sell me a worthless warranty? Kitchenaid is HORRIBLE and Best Buy does not stand behind the products they sell customers, even if you buy their warranty. Go elsewhere. read more

I have visited this store 3 times in the past month. The most recent time before my return was to purchase a laptop and the employee, whose name I didn't get, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, that department was understaffed that day, and I had to wait over 15 minutes (on a weekday morning) to get help. I also came in looking for guidance on Blink cameras. This BestBuy is so shady. I got a rare graphics card on the Nov. 18th online drop for in store pickup on November 30th. I went on Friday EOD. Not ready for pickup. Manager confirmed it was delivered on one of the two trucks. Wait 2 days. Go back on Sunday morning. Checked on it because it was still not ready. I saw one at the front for in-store pickup. Asked the lady to check it out to make sure it just wasn't scanned as ready (that would be understandable). Gave me an attitude and a hard time. Left the store, walked back in, got a manager for my sanity. It was up front but never scanned. After 5 days (this was day 2 or 3), pickup orders get canceled. PSA: if you get a rare item like a GPU or console online, be persistent and keep checking up on your in store pickup. Or they'll cancel it and either an employee or another customer (probably a friend of an employee) will get it. I don't expect to receive any type of compensation for this. Just hope to help one person not lose their in-store pickup. That would be a win. With all this being said, shoutout to the first manager I talked to on Friday. He was awesome (tall, skinny, & an eastern-european name -- that's all I remember). He's the man. We need more people like that guy running this store to get it where it needs to be. read more

I Purchased, the laptop July 6, the store said the laptop would be ready for pick up July 13. I came back July 13. The laptop was not there. I was not notified that the laptop will not be there until one hour before the store close me and my wife are leaving for the DR this weekend so I needed my laptop so the store said it would be ready in a few days so I called Monday. They said it wouldn't be ready till Tuesday so I called and asked to speak to store manager. They said he would call me back they told me I was the first on a callback list so they closed I didn't get a call back so I called 30 minutes before they close and a gentleman told me the manager doesn't call back you have to come in to the store and talk to him. This review is not for the store itself, they were very helpful and had great customer service. This review is for Best Buy's delivery with geek squad. I am extremely angry and disappointed in their delivery service. I purchased a washer and dryer last Sunday and set up my delivery for today, Thursday.I received a text last night telling me my delivery window would be texted to me this morning. I waited until 12:30 PM and with no word I contacted geek squad. They told me the delivery team was actually on the way and would contact me with the delivery window. Well, two hours later and I had heard nothing. So I called again and this time the representative told me my delivery had been canceled! I am extremely angry, I took off work today and sat there all day and did not leave waiting for the delivery as scheduled. It is one thing to run into an issue and not be able to deliver, it's another thing to never contact your customer and let them know that your service is canceled. I had to find out by calling them twice! I am extremely upset with how you treat your customers and I will tell everyone I know never to use geek squad. You do not care about your customers enough to even update them and tell them the delivery is not even happening. I am appalled by the horrible way I was treated as a customer today. read more

Just over a week ago, I made an appointment to have Geek Squad look at my Apple Air Pods Pro due to cracking sounds and frequent loss of sound in one ear bud. The woman took the ear buds back and claimed she ran tests and "failed on both counts. Since it was out of warranty I could not get them exchanged. So I decided to subsequently purchase another pair. A friend told me that the AirPods Pro had a recall on early production devices. Unfortunately Geek Squad did not mention this. Yesterday, I brought the AirPods back and asked them to send them to Apple to fulfill the recall. The gentleman looked up my device on their system and said they were never tested. He attempted to test them himself and was unable to do so due to some technical issue. I subsequently told him I'd bring to Apple myself. He was helpful, but was rushed as all other Geek Squad associated had taken vacation that day and was running back and forth er between 2-3 other customers. I will never bring any device to this Geek Squad location again. After now reading other reviews here, I should have checked Yelp prior to booking appointments with this location. read more

So I had to spend an hour with CC company disputing and it still shows on my account until they do further review. Best But is a disaster. Drove 1 1/2 in traffic to learn that Best buy.com cancelled my pickup order due to a price error on my order. Admittedly the error (what I thought beforehand was an amazing deal for purchasing a laptop and phone combo) was of significant value. ($200+) But somehow the items we're still held for me by their team, I was still emailed to come get them, and was never given a proper call otherwise. The associate that helped me at the picked up desk admitted it was professionally inadequate. All I got from them was the manager telling her to tell me to call bestbuy.com. Be a MANager and explain the situation in person, even if it is a Bestbuy.com error. I took the non cancelled items and even purchased the phone on a separate transaction. I did receive an email from BB.com an hour after getting back home that the items we're cancelled. Thanks for that. I'm not arguing the cancellation. I get it. It's good business. (Even though a lot of companies with integrity would eat the loss if it we're their error). I'm arguing how poorly and unprofessionally it was handled. Got car stereo after waiting 2+ weeks when it showed in stock to pickup that day. Had 1st install cancelled and rescheduled it twice more. Automated system emails were numerous and often wrong. On install day they were backed up and it took a very long time mostly because the customer install before me kept coming back every 20 minutes for a problem, interrupting the tech over and over. When I left he was still there (3+ hours). I had to come back again on another day to get the install finished. Same thing the next time but only came back twice. Fortunately Tom (master installer) handled it quickly as he could (as did Nate the time before) and also took time to explain some things I didn't know and even stayed late to do so. Made sure everything worked and was setup my way. If not for my patience and Tom the process was a delayed purchase and lousy flawed customer experience. My daughter and I visited this location specifically to purchase a Samsung - 70" Class TU6985 4K Crystal UHD Smart Tizen TV (Open-Box Excellent) because online it was listed as in excellent condition for a discounted price. We were prepared to make the purchase and had a friend on the way with their truck for pick up. Upon arrival at the store approximately around 6:10 PM on Monday January 3, 2022 the male who greeted us was professional, friendly, and informative as he delivered his membership sales pitch. He directed us toward the televisions after he was made aware of our purpose for visiting the store. My daughter and I headed towards the tvs and honestly it seemed as if the few store associate paths we crossed were attempting to avoid us by averting their eyes away or walking in a different direction. Once at the TVs we roamed the tv section for 10 minutes with no contact or sales associate presence. Unbothered we began to search for someone to assist us. A female associate asked if we needed help? I advised her that we were there to purchase a tv. She then told us to head to the cashier, which we did. Once there I turned my phone to the cashier and advised him that I was there to purchase the TV on my screen. He politely glanced at my phone and advised me that he could not assist me and that I needed to go back to the tv section to await help. Still unbothered I inquired if he could send an associate to assist me. He kindly shouted to another employee at a 20-30 ft. distance to send someone to tv's to help us as we were turning and heading back to the tv section another male associate attitudinally said, "are they gone buy a tv?" to the cashier. A bit perturbed my daughter and I head back to the tv's. As we're in route we observe a male associate assisting a couple (the same associate that avoided us the 1st time). Now we're back beside the Samsung TVs and we wait, and wait, and wait. A caucasian couple walked up and immediately within less than a minute a seemingly young male associate approached them to help them. I noticed the guy that was helping the other people walking & followed him. He went through double doors that were open so I stepped in the doorway and politely told him that my daughter and I had been waiting for a considerable amount of time to be helped only to watch another couple come get assistance while we still waited. I asked him if he could request a sales associate assist us. (For some strange reason I still wasn't upset yet). The Best Buy representative that wore the name tag "Z" irritatingly said to me, "I know, we had 4 people call out so just wait over there and someone will come." I complied but as we stood there watching him return back n forth through the double doors and watching the other associate help the other couple I became upset with the lack of help, & overall avoidance to help, sarcastic remark, and utter lack of accountability. We finally returned to the male that initially greeted us upon entry and requested a supervisor. Low and behold here comes Z rapidly might I add all of a sudden with a professional tone. Oh, so even though I spoke to him with kindness and respect he initially talked to me as of I were a homie from the hood but in the presence of other associates he was professional. Absolutely not. I told him that I'd make my purchase online and send a formal complaint. I understand that people are ill and call out which affects both my 9-5, and my personal businesses however that has absolutely nothing to do with the associates that avoided us or the associate choosing to help someone else over us. I feel unjustly disrespected, profiled, and disappointed with the level of service I received from everyone at Best Buy that night except for the Greeter and Cashier. I'm actually torn on whether or not to even make a purchase from Best Buy altogether. I'm having a difficult time separating the company from which I've been shopping from (initially the Northlake location) over 20 years ago from the Hammond location representatives. I understand that sometimes there are only few bad seeds but I also know that if the bad leaves don't fall off the tree on their on they will eventually rot the whole plant. I personally know that it's difficult to find employees so firing the few people that we can get to work is out of the question.
