As a woman shopping for tools and auto parts you often get met with the assumption that you have no clue what you're talking about.. My car's headlight stopped working last week. So I stopped by O'Reilly to get a bulb. This was early afternoon on a weekday so there weren't a lot of customers inside. There was at least 3 employees inside which is extremely good as most businesses are still short staffed. Richard was the employee that assisted me. He was extremely helpful and kind as he looked up exactly what I needed. He even offered to put the bulb in. We went outside and he did just that within 5 minutes maximum. I called in asking for a part and Demetrius said he had it but they could not put it in but he knew of a mechanic named Gilley (5 county mobile mechanic). When I got there, they did not have the part so they called the Alpharetta Hwy location and I went there to get it and came back. When I got back, Gilley said it did not fit. So he went back in the store and he and Demetrius miraculously found the part which was a purge valve NOT an intake manifold sensor which I needed. Not knowing about cars, I trusted him to put it in. The price of the part which I did not need replaced was 50.00 and the labor was 150.00, not a huge amount but a huge amount to lose for nothing . I would not go to this store and I would not hire Gilley from 5 county mobile mechanics. Just want to warn everyone not to get ripped off, which buyer beware I should have done my due diligence. read more

The guy working at the register on Monday January 15th @12:48 with the Ginger Hair & Beard was EXTREMELY RUDE . I live right next to this O'Reillys and come here extremely often I have NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS KIND OF TREATMENT IN MY LIFE . The men there are typically extremely helpful and NEVER condescending. He was basically useless and I will never be back . I will be checking to see if this is private owned or a franchise . Irregardless I will be reaching out to the manager for his name so I can call report his disgusting customer service to corporate ! My battery died and after a jump start from AAA, I drove to O'Reilly and the guys working there were extremely helpful and so nice! They installed my new battery, put on my new wipers and checked my alternator and started to make sure they were OK. The phones were ringing constantly and they were dealing with an unexpected, overnight software update to their system, but they kept their cool and balanced it all out so professionally. They are impressively set up for social distancing, with 6 foot markers for lines and a section in front of the registers cordoned off to provide a 6 foot buffer to protect employees. So you know Murphy's Law, right? Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Usually at the most inconvenient time. Well, Saturday I drove from Dunwoody to the Tabernacle and back. Then at 4pm I got back in the car to go to an important event I was hosting. Car = no go. Tuesday, I got the car jumped and drove up to O'Reilly. I was sure it was my battery, but the tow truck guy (who jumped the car) said it might be the alternator. Anyway, I went in and Amanda checked the battery. Zero charge. Next step? Replace the battery and then check the alternator to be sure. So at the exact moment we needed him, David walked through the door. David happily agreed to change my battery and took about 15 minutes to do so. Once the new battery was in the car turned on sans jump. So, David checked the alternator and confirmed the problem was just the battery. The whole process probably took about an hour and I was on my way. I really appreciate that O'Reilly will help you out right there in the parking lot - even despite a sign that's says absolutely no working on cars in the lot. I needed to get my battery checked and the gentleman was very accommodating. Even though they were extremely busy, not once did I hear them complaining. I appreciate it when employees are working doing their best instead of complaining about the very customers that keep them open. I could say each star represented an instance when O'Reilly has saved my wallet from cruel suffering. In this last visit, O'Reilly saved me thousands. I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube back in August. I should've known something was wrong with my wife's change was missing, but the dirt on the floormats remained behind. I was returning from McDonough when I heard a sound that didn't sit well with me. I figured I could check it out when I returned home. I went upstairs to pick up some stuff to take to the recycling center. It was when I went to get into my car that I noticed a dark, thick substance running underneath it. I recognized it as oil and immediately called Meineke. They've done good work for me, but unfortunately, they were booked for the day. It's a good thing I didn't go with them anyway. There's a small mountain on Roswell Rd that likely would've been the end of my car. You see, the sound I heard was the oil plug falling off. It appears the good folks at Jiffy Lube opted to screw it on by hand instead of using tools to ensure that it was securely fastened. Over time, I went over just enough bumps (I have five speed bumps entering and leaving my apartment complex) that it became loose and eventually fell off., which brings us to yesterday... I was driving down Pitts and had just turned onto Roswell when I noticed I'd lost my vroom! I rode it out as well as I could. Ironically, I was in the QT parking lot (next door to O'Reilly) when this happened. I put the car in park and, fearing the worst, I ran into the store. Deon was upfront about the options available to me. He was quick in diagnosing the issue and just as quick in implementing a(n) (affordable) solution. Customer service this good and this consistent has been rare everywhere else except O'Reilly. I appreciate the rest of the team for being able to handle the other customers while Deon was able to deal with my personal tragedy. I need to shout out David as well. He has been most courteous while rendering services and really exemplifies all the attributes that I believe O'Reilly would want its customers to expect. read more

I was heading over to do some laundry across the street when someone notified me that my brake light was out. Nervous about trying to find time to schedule an appointment with my car place, I decided to give them a call and see if they could do anything. I called over and spoke with Deon who warmly told me that they would be able to help and bring my car over. Deon kindly checked my lights, grabbed me the 2 bulbs I needed and came out to my car to assist me with installing the new bulbs. I was in and out within 15 minutes! Once I purchased the battery they realized the the old battery was still under was still under warranty. I would have never known. I came into the store this morning to ask a couple questions about my car. There were 3 associates, 1 sitting to the side while the other 2 had customers. No one acknowledged my presence..fine. I stood in line while another customer walked in and was greeted promptly by all associates even as they helped their customers. The one associate who was not busy COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY ignored me as I stood in line and helped the customer who had just walked in! I feel they are racist and disrespectful to women and people of color based on this experience. There is no way around the fact that each associate saw me walk in and stand in line and made a (very poor) choice to ignore my patronage. I will NOT return to this location ever again. read more

Service at O'Reilly is pathetic. Found they had the paint on line that I needed, but was told I had to physically appear in a store to order it. Went to a store and was told that they will not know the price until it comes down from corporate. 24 hours later received a call that the paint was $7.99 each and $6 for shipping, but it would be another 24 hours before it could arrive. Stopped at PepBoys and they had the paint in stock and there was a 20% discount. I only went to O'Reilly's because it was close to home. From now on, it will be worth the drive to PepBoys. read more

Car battery died and a jump got me here where they went above and beyond to get my battery replaced. It was not an easy job due to the poor location of the battery, plus corrosion made it worse.
