Only to be told that they could do it, but they won't be able to do it today because they already have two phones scheduled ahead of me. We purchased a Samsung TV and sound system 2 weeks ago. Our TV and sound system was supposed to be delivered today. We even paid $170 to have it set up and installed. Got a text message last night that a person has been assigned to us and they will notify us this morning as to the time to expect delivery. I got scammed yesterday at Best Buy. I purchased a MacBook Pro for around $1600, picked it up, and when I opened the box shortly after, I discovered it was actually a MacBook Air. So im putting this because i have too. I have been coming to this store for a year now in the store weekly sometimes several times a week because i build computers as a hobby and im Retired Army and a disabled veteran and loved how i was treated always able to returns stuff if it wasnt compatible anything no problem and spent 1000s at this store actually loved coming here. Well Then i bought a rtx5070 gpu online drove an hr away to get it had it just a few days never opened it because i was still getting parts to build a new computer. I found a 5070ti and immediatly bought it and took the 5070 back because i didnt need it since i found a 5070ti. I have brought back cards before and many other things but this time was different. I brought the card back they of course checked it see it was all there etc checked to see if it was still sealed everything was there so it was brought to the back and they put the money on 2 gift cards no problem. I went to use the gift cards 2 days later and they had no money on them huh i thought so went back and told them and the manager came to me said i switched the card out with a 3070 so they took the money off the gift cards. Then told me he has proof i changed the card on video said show me and he did but all it showed was me returning the card and they opened it to obviosly see it was the correct gpu 5070 or they would of said somthing then you would think but no it was the correct gpu because it was checked and brought to the back and i was given my money back like normal. So my wife asked well give us back the box and card yall say he switched sine we paid for it. They told us that they no longer have the box or gpu it was disposed of. I said do you have pictures of the 3070 in the box i brought back said yes on video so i asked to see it well low and behold he was lieing they had no video or photo showing me even a 3070 in a 5070 box. Then went on to say he knows i did it and call corparate if i have a problem. Well i have a big problem because that 5070 was in that bos when i returned it and couldnt show me a 3070 on video or produce what i returned and refused to return my return to me because they dont have it. Im no idiot im retired army and i tell you this someone took that card home probably the manager my guess and blamed me and since it went on gift cards toom the money off paid for the card with my money took it home which is why he could not produce the box or card i was accused of swapping out. This guy was fat with red hair sloppy and had nothing to show me or my wife i did wrong and if anyone seen the video they would see i did nothing wrong and it was properly inspected and brought to the back. They dont know it yet but i will get my 703.00 dollars back and he will loose his job. I had been directed to Samsung Care a week or so before coming in and the tech there left more issues when the 1 I came in to have fixed. I was unable to figure out how to stop my phone from remaining unlocked while on the charger and this guy was able to figure it out very quickly. I was talked into buying their total tech plan and was told it was a great value since I was getting two smart thermostats installed. Fast forward to 8/12. Their installers could only install one thermostat as the second one would not work. They actually said we should get professionals out here to look at it because it's out of their scope. They put the old one back and now my AC doesn't work. They tried blaming me and saying it wasn't working the whole time. I made them leave and now I'm on hour 3 trying to get some Help. They want me to wait until Monday with no AC because their schedule is booked. Absolutely no help from bestbuy or their 3rd party company. Worst experience of my life ! I've always had good luck with this store but this is Absolutely unreal. Had an issue with a wireless router, a good one, $300 one or so. Return period was up on 2/14. Due to this literally unprecedented storm we had in Texas, I couldn't get to the store to refund it. I just called the store and the store manager said that "I had long enough" to bring it back. I then mentioned this storm, that left the entire country DARK for four days. They didn't care. In the past six months or so- $3000 Television + $500 warranty + $300 "total tech support" $500 AV receiver + $100 warranty. Countless other purchases, ring cameras, NEST, iPad, all that stuff. Means nothing. In the past year well over $5-6,000 worth of products. Though somewhat of a value- I will not be renewing the "total tech support plan". Happened to me enough that I tend to check online if I know what I want. And...that is why I still like the in-store experience of an electronics store. Sure, you can get stuff online, but it was a Best Buy where I learned that I don't have to have a 4K TV, but I shouldn't waste my time on a 780p. I learned differences in wearables and can really see if a laptop bag is too heavy or functional and doesn't look cheap. This place gets a 5 on the CS because they greet you when you come in, they ask you if you need help, they will look up stuff in their systems and seem to make the experience easy. They have had their ups and downs with the competition but let's face it...we need BB and Fry's and others for the knowledge and ability to "try it" especially on costly purchases. read more

I stood at the phone counter watching 3 employees helping other customers ahead of me. The first guy got done and immediately left the phone counter area. I would've given Best Buy 4 stars if it weren't for Dom in Customer Service. He singlehandedly ruined our shopping experience. We went to the Customer Service counter because my husband wanted to do a price match on an item. Unfortunately, that's when we met Dom. We told him what we wanted to do and he told us, "They could easily do that for you at the regular cash registers." My husband starts to walk off and I stop him, asking Dom, "Well, since we're here, can you do it?" No one was in line behind us, yet he was obviously reluctant and doubled back saying, "Yeah, I mean, I was just telling you for future reference. In case, you know... [I stopped listening at this point]." Dom spent 10mins attempting to do the price match and trying to get us to change our minds out of frustration by repeatedly saying, "Oh I don't knoooow. I don't think this will go throooough." and "Let's see if the system will let me." I'm quite patient and even more patient when operating out of spite so I just stood there quietly and let him figure it out. I've worked retail. I know price matching isn't hard. Then Dom had the audacity to try to get us to opt-in for their rewards program. We politely declined twice. THEN, he had the caucasity to tell us we should get the Best Buy credit card "for, you know, uh, all of your holiday shopping... unless, you're done shopping already, I mean." We said "No, thanks." He kept asking. We said "No." He kept going on with his spiel and didn't stop until we said, "We're good, man. **hard stare**" Not only will you have a crappy experience with the customer service folks who are absolutely lazy, incompetent, and outright annoying as hell, you'll also be up-sold every step of the way. Asked him, in the same department, if he can help me. He said, no, we are short staffed, and he will call for some one else. Immediately he moved to customers behind me and started a long conversation. No one came to me. I asked for store manager - employee went to talk to someone but he was busy. It has a large selection of appliances with very knowledgeable representatives on hand to answer questions, give demonstrations, and explain their warranties. The staff in the appliances section does not work on a commission-based structure, which makes it easier to receive more honest, transparent answers to any questions you may have. On occasion, this location has a good selection of clearance merchandise. If you don't see it, just ask an associate. Restrooms are usually clean and well-stocked! read more

I took my computer in because It would freeze and open anything. I left my Lenovo all in one. I also wanted a back up so I purchased an external hard drive so they could back the computer up. I was called 2 days later and told that there was nothing that could be done. No back up could be done. They said they could not open the computer because it was an all in one. We went to the store and picked up the computer. They said they could send out to get somebody else to look into for a charge of $500.00. We took the computer to bring it home and get somebody else to get the hard drive out of the computer. When my son opened up the computer, the hard drive was missing. The Geek Squad lied when they said they could not open the computer when somebody obviously did open it up and removed the hard drive. I will never go to that store again. I can't recommend purchasing televisions from bestbuy. I spent a lot of money on a 55 inch along with the extended warranty. I have had nothing but issues with the tv and they have sent best buy geek squad people out no less than 7 times to fix some of the same parts. The tv was defective and should have been treated as such. It was a lemon and should have been entirely replaced. Beware if you purchase from bestbuy, you will receive the run around if something doesn't work correctly. I would not recommend doing business with bestbuy. read more

My son and I walked around the televisions for 15 plus minutes. In front of 4 sales guys , that were more interested in playing the radio than helping us.
