Best buy is just another company that has fallen apart due to lack of competition. The flint mi location is one of the worst locations. Customer service here doesn't exist unless your buying a high end product, and even then it stops as soon as you've decided what your getting. The inventory is always at a minimum and we can order it for you is what you should expect to hear. If you have an issue that requires a manager just turn around and leave. I bought a refrigerator from the Best Buy in Kennesaw Ga near me. My delivery date was 12/21/21. So as my mobility isn't the best it took me quite a while to empty the fridge and freezer and I have food filling both sinks, in boxes, on my countertops and dish pans. I had to move furniture etc. to make way for the delivery. My time frame was between 2:00PM until 6:00 PM. You are able to track your delivery via a text they send you. I watched it go from 4 stops before me, 3 stops before me, 2 stops before me, 1 stop before me. Then I saw that they were on their way to my home and the ETA was 3:10PM. So I ran upstairs got dressed and waited. Well about 3:45PM I was thinking they were just running late. So I go back to the text to see what was going on. And what I saw confused me. They said I did not have a scheduled appointment today! I received not one call from this company stating that they were not coming. So I start making phone calls. And of course you're routed overseas and it is extremely difficult to get any information, a manager, or any answers. But after several calls I was told there was no installer for my fridge! What!???? I watched the text updates and what happened? They just decided not to come to my house!?? Well I tried to contact managers, corporate office, etc. anyone that could help. To no avail. I ended up leaving messages on the cell phone of the associate who sold me the refrigerator at Best Buy. He called me back and I explained the situation to him. But nothing, could not get my refrigerator that day. So I am going to go to the store today to speak to a manager personally today. In the meantime, all of the food that was in my freezer and fridge has gone bad. And as I am having mobility problems at this time, I'm looking at a ton of food that I needs to be thrown out. This includes food that I had bought for Christmas. There are hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of food that went bad. But what was really infuriating, is that I got a text later that day stating that my appointment has been rescheduled to December 28th between 7 AM and 12 PM!!!! I never schedule ANYTHING that early in the morning as I'm not an early morning person. Who made that appointment!?? Who agreed to this?? No one called me to ask if that was a good day or time frame for me?!! Any advice neighbors would be appreciated. Please help. Three days before Christmas, no food,  no fridge. I only went to return something that I purchased a week ago and I waited in line for about 15 minutes while other employees were just standing around chatting with each other, but lookin at me! My brother pre ordered a digital copy of Destiny 2 for his birthday. He and his wife took the day off to hang out and play the game to celebrate his special day but best buy did not purchase enough copies and did not have a code for him to download his game! No game. No apology. They didn't even care that it was their mistake and have made no attempts to correct the issue. Now he is 1 day past game release day and still no resolve. Thats pretty messed up. Recently purchased an 'open-box' TV - even though the sticker indicated that all items were included and the BB 'inspected' tape closed it, part of the stand was missing, all hardware was missing, the remote, power cord and manuals were all missing. Additionally, the audio jack had been broken and I had to go out and purchase an optical audio cable ($$) since there was no way to plug in an external speaker. Also bought an 'open-box' hanger for a speaker bar and ALL of its hardware was missing. Of course, all of this entailed an additional 30 minute drive, each way, and re-loading the TV twice since they didn't replace it with a new one, just produced a power cord and remote from another returned TV. NEVER buy an 'open-box' item from these people unless they verify everything in front of you! read more

Thee worst service in all of the best buys. Took us literally 1/2 hour to check out for an Apple Watch because the use only one register for Apple products. They finally took us to a different register after we complained. The manger was dismissive too. All in all just a rotten store. read more

I stood around for twenty minutes and waited, and watched while the employees were all standing around in groups talking and joking around. I took my laptop to the Geek squad because it kept crashing and telling me that all boot options were tried. Spent $100 for them to look at it and 'fix' the problem, then another $100 for a new SSD drive. I got my computer back and while it does run faster with the new drive, it still crashes randomly. Over many years I have bought many things here! Price availability and service are this store's strong points. They do a great job price matching items; Walmart just north of this store will not do anything to price match or find any product for you....Walmart wants you to buy it online! People here are always helpful and don't treat you like you don't know anything. When you cannot find an item or if it is not in stock personnel will look it up and do whatever they can to help you and at least order the item. I appreciate the fact that this store is usually clean even during and after a Black Friday sale! I am always greeted with a smile, a "hello" and a "see you again" or "have a great day"! read more

This store has certainly taken a turn for the better! I am a frequent customer at Best Buy Flint especially since I moved to the city last year. I used to loathe having to go to Best Buy and would even avoid it by ordering whatever I needed online. However in the past few months I have found myself more and more likely to favor the brick and mortar store over the online marketplace. The store has improved from a dumpster fire to a pretty clean and smooth store with plenty of blue shirts willing to help. The floor blue shirts are not only willing to help but the management is especially willing to do whatever their customers need. I haven't had anything bad to say about this Best Buy since they made a turn a couple months ago. read more

My husband and I went into Best Buy on November 16th to buy a TV. We had the BEST experience!!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted right away by Omar with a big smile on his face he asked us how he could help. Omar stayed by us the whole time and gave us his 100% advice on every question we had on our tv search. We got our tv last night and LOVE it! Thank you Omar for going above and beyond helping us get our TV!!!!! Also, want to give a BIG thanks to Jordan on giving his advice whenever we had a question on tv's !!! Don't apply to work here. If you like working at huge stores that are unorganized, unclear, unprofessional, and neglectful towards new hires, then this is the perfect place for you. Best Buy does extremely questionable things, like hiring me and scheduling my first day 35 days away. Another questionable thing I experienced was going to a scheduled training shift on time and the training employee not show up at all! I waited in the parking lot for 1.5 hrs for the trainer to show up and she never did! I was told I would get a call back from her and I never did! What kind of business has veteran employees more unreliable than new hires? When I walk into Best Buy the next scheduled training shift, hopeful to start training with a trainer who actually showed up, I'm told that the store is now doing labor cuts and that I'm out of a job! Best Buy wasted a lot of my time. The people at this store are rude and will purposefully avoid being straightforward with you and give you the run around instead of being upfront and keeping an open line of communication with new hires. Whenever I called the store to get more clarity on things I would never get an answer. I would ask anyone considering working here to apply literally anywhere else and I would recommend everyone to purchase things from Amazon instead! This was an online order that I picked up in this store. They originally charged me twice for the iPad Air 2 that I ordered. After being on the phone with customer service for several hours, the only thing they did for me was charge me a third time! After several more hours on the phone, they finally just said that they were "pretty sure two of the charges would fall off your account on Monday." That didn't happen. So I spent $1,800 on the world's most expensive iPad. And now my account is overdrawn. read more

I went into Bestbuy to add a third line and purchased a Galaxy S3 for my daughter. Once I purchased the phone they didn't activate the phone and also gave me someone else's phone number. I've tried going into the store and also tried calling sprint and Bestbuy for several months to get help with this problem and did not receive any type of service,reimbursment or help. On top of that I'm being billed for a line that's not activated and also doesn't work. I'm HIGHLY disappointed and discouraged by this transaction because I've been a client of Sprint for a few years now and would think that they would take better care of they're customers. Finally spoke to girl who was no help, and kept transferring me to a different (800?) number that kept disconnecting. Explained this to the girl, but she obviously wasn't paying attention, didn't care, or was mentally challenged...or perhaps all of the above - clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
