Costumer Service in this store is great. Lots of bilingual staff so it was easy for my parents as well. I needed a new laptop, and luckily all the MacBooks were in a promotional sale, and obviously I had to take advantage of that. While the MacBook Air was $1099 on Apple's website, I ordered mine on BestBuy for $899. I also bought some AirPods, but they didn't have no discounts. Same week, my mother decided to buy my brother a new laptop too. For him we got a Acer Nitro Gaming Laptop for only $500 which was also great. When using their credit card you'll get 0.5 points per one dollar you spend at Best Buy or BestBuy.com, with my points I also ordered an Instax mini 9 instant camera, which came with all accessories basically for free. My mother with her points got a Ninja blender which is super awesome! Definitely great perks, and rewards. At first, we had some issues with my brothers laptop but since we got a warranty on it the techs solved it. Very nice, and friendly staff, and very helpful as well. When buying their "warranty" that you pay yearly for, it is a bit of a scam. My phone is a year old and I broke it. The 2 year warranty entitles me to pay a $99.00 fee for a refurbished phone. On Blackfriday Best Buy had a special on apple watches. I decided to finally upgrade my old 7 series. I received a nice trade in value. An hour later, Best Buy informed me that my order was ready for pick up. I arrived an hour later and waited in line. When it was finally my turn they made me go to another line despite waiting for this one for more than 20 mins. Back in the days I used to like Best Buy, but lately, everything about BestBuy has gone done. I have visited this location (and others) and every time I do, it is always the same thing. We do not carry it, go online. I go online and when I try to buy it, they don't ship it or do not allow pickups. Honestly, I do not know why Best Buy even bothers to have stores, they should just stick with online as they barely carry any in-store inventory. Horrible. Purchased a modem online for a cable switch for curbside pickup. Never got the email saying it was ready so I physically went there after work before making the trek ITP home, after 3 hours. An irate customer was screaming obscenities and they called the police within 5 minutes of my arrival. I thought she was crazy. Dial forward 60 minutes I have yet to be helped. Turns out my item can't be found so I have to buy an upgraded item and better yet they can't apply any rewards money to the new purchase. Over 2 hours spent there before I finally left with a modem and I didn't get the discount for which I had purchased online. Even called Best Buy help (which they told me in the store would refund me money no problem) and of course useless. Lesson learned. I havent stepped foot in a Best Buy in years and I won't again. Talk about nightmares! Bought my car stereo, had it installed by the geek squad. They didn't put my car back to correctly and didn't even install all the parts. District manager called me and told me that this store would correct all the problems. I show up for my appointment and the two males working in the mobile install told me that they would not repair my lift gate. It simply needed a self tapping screw. And they were saying that they could get in trouble for damage. I told them that their manager knew what was going on as well as two other store managers and the district manager. I went in the store and spoke with John who at first was appalled that his techs told me they couldn't fix it. He told me that I could let them fix half the isue. I said no. Bought a new refrigerator last weekend and paid for delivery and installation. It arrived on time, but we discovered a missing shelf after the installer left. Contacted BestBuy, and they directed us to go back to the store. At the store, we were informed that we needed to reach out to the manufacturer for the missing part, as they were not responsible. As customers, we were surprised to learn that we had to handle the issue ourselves, considering we purchased from the store. Purchased some tv mounts that were the wrong size. I walk into the store to return them and was directed to the customer service desk. Nearby in plain sight and 5 feet away, Selena and Esther enjoyed a meaningless conversation, never to acknowledge me. I literally stood there for 5 minutes until another random gentlemen came by and I asked if I was in the right area for customer service. He said I was, then signaled Esther to come and help me. Esther directed me to carry the heavy tv mounts to another desk instead of just taking the receipt from the customer service desk. It was so nice to have finally got her attention. I purchased a 12 gigabyte external hard drive online to be picked up at their store. After I picked it up and went home, I saw that the safety seal was broken. When I looked inside, it was clear that this product was a return. The power cable was not wrapped up, but instead, just shoved in the bag. Best Buy should never had allowed this to go out again, for someone could have planted a virus on the hard drive and infected my computer. Best Buy, please train your staff properly. I dropped a computer for repair. It went out the first time and was gone for 3 weeks. There was still an issue with the computer so it was returned. This time it was out for 4 weeks before being returned. We got the computer home and none of our photographs or other data was in the computer. Again we returned to Best Buy and amazingly no photographs or or documents are on the computer. To this point we have been without a computer for over a month and lost the photographs from our trip to Indonesia. We left the computer with them again and will, in a day or so, find out if they can get our pictures restored. read more

In need of a new computer ended up here after seeing what I wanted advertised on line. Best Buy would have been given one star had I not met Mira. Walking in was in search of two things a 32" t.v. for the bedroom and a new laptop after wandering around for 45 minutes with no offer of help was ready to leave. The terrible reviews for service weren't wrong. Irritated was finally ready to sack shopping for the day then met Mira and after a couple of questions she was mine for the next two hours. She went above and beyond answering question's, offering information and trying to meet my list of demands for a new computer. No AMD, I3 or better, Windows 10, a DVD player, must have Touch Screen ability's and under a certain price point. Seems easy right, wrong and after testing out a few comparing the color of screens, sound quality (important) and how the computer was able to perform went with the Lenovo Envy 15. Sometimes in order to get what you want you have to compromise so I gave up the dvd player for now. Best Buy will price match your purchase for 15 days "good to know" and was able to put to use before even leaving the store and saved an additional $50.00. Printers at the time of computer purchase can be discounted $20-30.00, if already on sale you get one or the other. The printer of interest/purchased was in a poor box and is being shipped to the apartment for free within 2-4 business days. The printer arrived in such a poorly packed box the company had to be called and a new one shipped for fear of it being damaged or broken. See photo. Now we all need a little help with our computers sometimes, what happens if you make a mistake and drop or spill something on it? Geek Squad is available for fixing those nasty viruses or cleaning up that mess you made $69.99 for a year $129.99 for two GEEK Me Please. The BB credit card is available for those who want it if approved there will be a $59.00 fee, after approval found the interest rate was "25% ha ha um no keep it." I've learned to come to this location when I see something online that interests me, but I want to get the item in-hand for a better look. Unless you're coming to purchase a phone, don't expect to find any staff to assist you. None of them seem willing to leave the phone sales area to assist customers in other spots. They lost out on another significant purchase because they couldn't be bothered to take a moment to open a case for a couple of small but expensive items. However, I could see that the items would meet my needs, so an online retailer will now get the benefit of that sale. read more

I visited this Best Buy store because I was picking up an iPad that I ordered from the Mall of GA location. The process and service at that location was great. This location however kept me waiting for nearly thirty minutes when there was only one person in line in front of me. Once I was helped it became evident why it was taking so long in the first place. It seemed disorganized and the person helping me seem to be distracted. Once I finally received my order it had a sticker stuck to the plastic with my name and a bar code and an obnoxious highlight mark. The iPad was a gift and I was unable to remove the sticker without removing the plastic seal around the box. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the entire experience excluding the initial order. I was left with a tough decision: do I remove the sticker which would then break the seal on the gift or do I leave the horrible looking sticker with my name on it and give it as a gift that way? If a store employee or an executive is reading this, I recommend that you tell your employees to not put packing slip stickers on ipad packaging. I just left this Best Buy and I'm extremely disappointed with the online and in-person ordering experience I just had. Yesterday evening, I ordered a four pack of LIFX lightbulbs online for contactless pickup today. I arrive at the store only to be given a box with a slash through it sealed together with Best Buy branded packaging tape. I didn't initially notice this because it was on a face that was positioned down inside the bag. Upon realizing this I returned to the store. I explained that this purchase was a gift for a friend and I had paid full price for the item, I didn't think it was unreasonable to expect it to be in intact packaging. I simply wanted to exchange it for the same item in undamaged packaging. I was told they were out of stock and that the item's damaged packaging was due to issues with repackaging the item after someone had bought and returned previously. I kindly reminded them that that isn't my issue and at the very least then I should have been charged an open box discount price if the item was pre-owned. The cashier said he would talk to his supervisor. After a 10min wait, I was told that I could be given a discount of 10% but I needed to return the item first (which included needing to wait 3-5 days for a refund to process) and then, repurchase the same item at the discounted price. This was clearly intended to thwart my attempt at a reasonable resolution. I'm a Best Buy Elite Member and I find it absolutely ridiculous that this is the type of service Best Buy is providing any customer let alone one that spends a lot of money with their stores in a given year. I said I would keep the item but i was going to make it a point to write a review anyplace I could to express my discontent with this "resolution". Previously it was a no-brainer to check Best Buy first for my electronics purchases, however, moving forward I intend to explore other options before spending money with Best Buy in general and specifically the Gwinnett store. read more

Conclusion: It is ok for Sales Rep to give incorrect information to a customer at the time of purchase and Best Buy will not do anything to address that. Situation: On 07/05/2019, I went to the BestBuy store located at 1875 Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA 30096. I went there to purchase a couple of Switch games. I had a concern with the game. So I asked the sales rep "what if my kid does not like this game?" The sales rep responded "you can come back for a refund". Then, I asked "but for open software, I can not get a refund". She said "as long as you are in the 14 day return policy you can come back for a refund." My kid could not play one of the games. So I went back to the store on 7/13/2019. The Specialty Sales Manager told me "no, you can not return the game per our store policy." I asked him "this is not what your sales rep told me." He responded "there is nothing I can do to help, it is our store policy." Then I asked "Your sales rep was working on Best Buy's behalf and gave me the incorrect information to make a sales. Is this ok?" He responded "It is not ok, but there is nothing I can do with that." Then I asked him to speak with a store manager. He refused and said "I am the manager and you will not speak with anyone else." Then I went to the security guy at the door and asked to speak with a store manager. An assistant store manager named "Lou" came out. I explained the situation to him. And he said "that is our store policy, we can not do anything about it." Then I asked him the same question "Is that ok for your sales rep to give incorrect information to make a sale?" He said "no, it is not okay. But if they do, we can not do anything about it." Then I asked "how can I provide feedback on this and how do I escalate this matter?" He responded "you can not make a complaint at the store because you are talking to me now and I am in charge and I can not help you." Then I said "ok, It is ok for me to not return this game, but I would like an explanation or resolution to address the fact that your sales rep lied to me to make a sale." He responded "you will not get a resolution." Then I asked "is this the way how best buy treat customers now?" He responded "if you can tell me the person's name then I can find that person for more details." I said "I do not remember that person's name, but you have security camera all around and you can rewind back to the date of my purchase to see who that was." He said "no, I'm not going to do that. And I expect you to remember that person's name when you come to the store. Other wise I can not help you." Then I said "wow, this is how you treat your customer, and I will not come back to best buy again." He responded "it is your choice, be my guest." I did not record the conversation with the sales rep nor the store manager, therefore, I can not prove the story. It is up to you, Best Buy, if you want to address this for your long term benefit. I understand that I'm not important to BestBuy, but there are plenty of stores around, and I chose BestBuy. This is really frustrating and disappointing. Bye Best Buy. "The BAD" I don't know why I come to this store anymore. Service is AWFUL! You can walk around for hours before any representative even acknowledges you. Well, security at the door speaks but that's about it. This was my 4th or 5th time coming here experiencing this. I love technology; especially electronics so it is hard to resist, but i was fed up this time. I'm leaving here to write a 1 star review on Yelp I thought. "The BETTER" Then Jennifer walked by me and asked if I needed help finding anything. Actually Jennifer I do and thank you for asking. Thank you for not looking away in another direction when you can feel I have a question like 90% of the associates here. I don't really see how big box stores are staying in business. TV's would be my guess. It is is hard to purchase those without visually being in front of it first. "THE BEST" Jennifer was doing inventory. She had a basket putting away items, stocking shelves. She does not even sell but saw her brother in need (we are all God's children). I explained my story. I purchased a Bluetooth cassette tape at the Best Buy Buckhead Store. First time I had ever seen such an item and I loved it! Apparently all of my friends did too because it was highly requested and I gave it to one of them. I had been frequenting that store and other locations like this trying to find it again, with no luck. Yes, they have the wired (string attached) cassettes but I don't want that. Where is the Bluetooth that chimes, "do do doop" when it connects to your phone or other media device? She walked me to the areas where it would be if they had it and of course it was not there. Jennifer took the next step. She walked me to the CPU to check to see if they carry it at all anymore. I pulled up a picture of it from my Instagram account (follow me @writewellg). Shameless plug (shrugs shoulders). Found it! It was on their website and then Jennifer found it locally at several other stores. Since she was not in sales, she took me directly to a group of salespeople just standing around talking like old friends...doing nothing basically while I walked around aimlessly trying to find one item...long sigh!!! I forget the guys name but he took over from there. He was friendly about it. I thing it's Admit (sp). He took my order, found my rewards #, and shipped it directly to my house. How lovely. Now that is service! That is what I wanted. That is what I needed. Good service. Keep me from coming back to find the same item over and over again and eventually giving up on you and going somewhere else to spend my money. Versus keep me coming back to buy all of my items because your just that good. Since I had so much trouble find this little booger I bought 2. I received them and now I am back to jamming "bluetoothlessly" in my car (Sigh of relieve and excitement). I adore Best Buy but the customer service and organization here is appalling. Initially, we waited more than 20 minutes to purchase an I Pad. There was a disorganization of the line, and an employee had told us they had our I Pad at the check out so we can purchase it (the check out in electronics). Ummm...not so much. When we finally got through with the line, our I Pad wasn't there and we had to repeat the process. After waiting around at an additional 10+ minutes, they finally got our I Pad and we had to wait again to pay for it (in the same line)...bam, another 20 minutes. Main point = 50 minutes+ to purchase an I Pad is outrageous and we will not be returning to this location. PS, while I understand it is around Christmas time with last minute shoppers and all, the least they could do is be fully staffed and understand organization is key. Just my two cents. read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I took my Macbook Pro to have it appraised for their trade-in program only to have the clerk behind the counter mishandle my macbook. I saw it bounce when she tossed to on the counter. She wanted to appraise the value of the Macbook based on an older model. Just poorly trained associates in a brick and mortar concept that is probably going the way of the dodo very soon. I think I'll keep all of my purchases on Amazon from now on. I called customer service to report my concerns and the first rep disconnected the line. How can you not have more than 3 brands of HDMI's cables, and 2 brands of optical cables..... And you call your store and "electronic store". The store is pretty big but selection is poor. Also I wanted to point out that the store need to be more organized since there is all kind of stuff everywhere. The open box item section is a mess (cheapens the store). Before I even get to the Geek Squad appointment. I have to preface this by saying that I was very clear in what I needed when I spoke to the customer service individual responsible for scheduling appointments. I gave her a very detailed account of the fact that my printer needed ink so I purchased ink but it still wouldn't print. I explained that based on my own troubleshooting, it was clear to me that the printhead was clogged. I explained that I was looking for someone to unclog it. I explained how it was difficult to find anyone that fixed printers and was hoping that the Geek Squad could help. I was assured that they could. So, I made an appointment for Tuesday, March 21st. Mason came out to my home at about 1pm on that day. I shared with him the exact assessment that I shared with the customer service person that scheduled the appointment. As Mason pulled my printerhead out of the printer, he indicated that the Geek Squad didn't "repair" printers. But that he would unclog the printhead to see if it would print. His version of unclogging it was wiping the printhead on my copier paper, then inserting it back into the printer to attempt to print. During this time, I asked him if he needed alcohol or something because he mentioned that people often used it. He replied that he didn't. But, he repeated those steps about 3 times before recommending that I replace the printhead which he looked up on Amazon and told me would run about $150 which may not resolve the problem. So I might want to just replace the printer. For that 15 minutes of effort, I received an invoice for $99.99. He hovered here until I paid the invoice and then left. As I searched for printheads online, I came across videos of people actually unclogging the printheads of the same type of printer that I have the HP Officepro 8600. I realized that I was scammed. I learned that in order to unclog the printhead, it actually needed to be flushed out with a solution which was not done. So, I called the Geek Squad to let them know that I was scammed and didn't receive the service that I requested. I was then told that they don't offer that service. So I asked why the customer service person that scheduled my appointment didn't tell me that. Then they proceeded to read me back half of what I stated my printer problem was, which I didn't realize until I saw the invoice was identified as printer troubleshooting. That is when I realized that I was really scammed and asked to speak to a supervisor. After informing the "supervisor" Dana (probably not her real name and she probably wasn't a supervisor) of what occurred and that I felt that they owed me my money back for not delivering on the services that I requested. She told me that she would get back to me in 2 hours. I have not heard back from Dana yet and it is 3/27. I paid with a credit card and plan to dispute this charge with my credit card company. This isn't fair to consumers to be ripped off by the Geek Squad and then blown off because they don't want to address your concerns. Simply pulling the conversation with the customer service person that I ended up scheduling my appointment with could clear this entire situation up. Instead I have wasted a total of 2 hours of my life that I can't get back. I say, don't ever utilize this service. Because they are associated with Best Buy and I have already had a bad experience with them, I don't think that I will be patronizing them at all after this. read more

I think people mostly post about bad experiences here, so I want to share a great one! I needed a new laptop, and I was willing to pay more to buy one locally instead of online. I went to 4 places: MicroCenter, Costco, Frys and Best Buy. Costco and MicroCenter had a small selection of new laptops, and Frys had a large selection of old laptops. It was depressing - I didn't see any of the laptops I'd found in my research. Best Buy was like walking into Oz. They had EVERY laptop, set up at the perfect height for typing, in a well-lit room. The woman who helped me was patient and smiling while I spent over an hour trying out at least 16 laptops. They really earned the extra money I spent to buy local! I went home with a list of the 5 laptops I liked the most, did a little more research, and then ordered it on BestyBuy.com for local pickup. Less than 40 minutes later it was ready, so I went back to the store, went to the pickup window and was out in less than 10 minutes. That's how it's supposed to work! Everything went flawlessly, from walking in the door at around 6:00pm, to picking up my expensive (but awesome) new laptop at 9:15pm. From now on, Best Buy is the only place I'll shop for consumer electronics. read more

This is starting to be the worst location in the county. I placed an order at noon on Thursday, September 13 for curbside pick up and here I am in the parking lot at 5:01 PM and still waiting for my order to be picked this is the worst location this is not the first time that I have waited so long for a curbside pick up if you're going to say I can receive my order within an hour this needs to be changed on your website regardless of the pandemic read more

Came here to buy a fit bit. Flagged down an employee to get the Fitbit, took forever. Then the employee gave me the watch and followed me to another section because I couldn't hold it and carry it around the store, you have several security cameras, and a guard at the door. I'm not going to steal a stupid watch. So he takes the watch to some undisclosed location. When I go to pay for it the employee has left the store. Again, have to wait for them to find the damn fit bit that the missing employee just HAD to take from me, for no reason. Then I get home, to open the screen protector box and it is stuck to the paper. I kid you not, the screen protector is stuck to the instruction manual, completely unusable. Even though it says on the box that it was checked by an employee, and in perfect condition. How is unusable perfect condition? Anyway, this Best Buy sucks, bad inventory. Go to another location if you can help it, or go to Walmart. You might get better customer service. read more
