I purchased an Insignia Top Glass Load Washing Machine on Saturday May 30, 2026 from The Best Buy Store located in Humble, Texas, it was delivered on Monday, June 1, at 5:20 pm, but when they arrived with the machine they informed me that it was suppose be a dropped off purchase, however, at the time I purchased the machine I specifically informed the sales clerk that I wanted it installed, but did not state the old machine to be taken away, because it was going to cost me $125 . I paid cash $487.11 I feel this was unfare for me to have to pay to have it installed. Now I just had to pay again to get in installed. Verizon in bestbuy fraud! Police said it happens a lot here! Employees certainly play a part i Don't use this Best Buy purchasing anything. Sitting here with police because the Verizon manager and employee sold 3 I watches, 1 IPad, and then allowed more to be ordered with a pay pal account. Manager of Verizon is a complete ass and is protecting the employee. Police told me it happens at this location with Verizon a lot. I live in the area and usually don't have any problems. But today was it... This Bestbuy managed to make me decide to close my Bestbuy card and account and never come back. I purchased an Open box TV (with protection plan) from another store. It had problems that I didn't get a chance to see or check on. I tried to return it here after verifying that I could return it anywhere and they refused, telling me that that I said the screen was cracked (It wasn't and they didn't bother to check) and that the LED burn in was still damage even though there was no way I could have done it in the 8 days since I purchased it (which the manager said I couldn't do). They essentially said any reason I gave them to return it was damage and they didn't have to accept it, even though I was in the time and the policy for return. When I called corporate to complain they said they can't force the store to assist me. Corporate did offer to have the return picked up from my house for a $100 dollar fee. Overall if you going to charge more than Amazon and give less to customer service you deserve to go out of business. I have no problem going elsewhere for anything Bestbuy sells. I dropped off my husband's laptop for repairs. He spoke to the repairs dept. when he followed up on his laptop. He gave them the go ahead for repairs. A month later it's returned un-repaired. When we called to follow up again, we were told we had to go back to the store to instruct them to repair the laptop since we denied repairs. We never denied repairs! What a joke! recently spent hundreds of dollars on 18 speakers and sub woofers for a new construction in March. Just now opened up the boxes to install and noticed that one of the in ceiling white paintable sonance speakers was missing its cover. Contacted online support and they were just copying and pasting paragraphs of their answers and could not do anything about it since its past 15 days. Called 800 number somewhere in India and she said in her broken english the same thing. I do not want to exchange or return anything I was just asking for the missing part but still they refused. I don't know why other people had issues returning items to this Best Buy. I did not have to wait but three minutes they return my item and credit my account in less than two minutes. I'm sorry I don't recall the customer service rep who took care of me but the two employees I interacted with the security guard at where you enter and exit the building, and the man who took care of me at the register. I still don't know why they only give you guys 2 1/2 stars. I'm very pleased with your excellent customer service and promptness . I appreciate it. Ordered a TV online and received today and it is defective. No biggie we call customer service to seek information on best way to exchange at Humble location. She confirmed they had plenty and advised us to call in advance so they can pull the TV for exchange and be ready at curb. No problem, right? Well, the employees working on Saturday, June 20 at 12:30-current suck when it come to professional conduct and treatment of customers. They not only refused to answer the phone and speak to hear the simple message I needed to inform them of but had the nerve to pick it up several times not say anything then place on hold. We went through this cycle of bull for just over an hour. I'm a very patient person but this was not only rude for a place of business to treat they customers this way but it shows the lack of professionalism in the entire team at this location because there is NO way not one person didn't hear a phone ring for over an hour but they also had the audacity to pick up the damn phone pause, then place ON HOLD! Bought a TV online, was in "excellent" condition, no missing parts, all manuals, cables, just an open box etc. Get there the TV looked like it went to war, TV was NOT in excellent condition, stand/cables/manuals all missing, no box, totally dishonest. And worse they wasted over an hour of my time jerking me around before telling me well we can sell you the new one at a good price, which I was all for until he told me they'd have to cancel my order, which then tied up my money for 10 days. Service was good. Somewhat knowledgeable I guess. Bought 3 open box items after Christmas to finish out our entertainment for all rooms. Only 1 had all the equipment, even though they all supposably were verified by geek squad and tagged "no missing accessories". One item was missing the remote, included HDMI cable, and instruction manual. I was able to go back with receipt and box sticker and get the parts. One of the TVs was missing over half of the screws to attach the stand. I had to pull screws off another same brand tv stand to get it standing up. Now both aren't completely put together, but they are stable and standing. Long story short, when buying open box from this Best Buy make them pull out all the accessories for verification. read more

This is a note I sent to everyone I knew on March 31, 2008. I think it is worthy of official Yelp Review. I wish I could take away the ONE star I was required to put on there. From this day forward I promise to NEVER EVER shop at Bestbuy again. I dont care if I have to buy a bigscreen television from Walmart (and god knows I have had my issues with them as well), sitting next to the frozen foods section. I took my laptop in because it was running hot when plugged into the wall. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to get it back and that it was a power source issue. Two weeks later I got a called that they replaced the power source and the harddrive. They then had the audacity to ask me if "I needed anything on the harddrive..." Of course! Its a laptop, not a portable DVD player! All of my work is on there. I am then told, I can pay for a system recovery which is $280.00. I told them I had not requested a harddrive replacement and asked why I hadnt been notified prior to the work being done. I told them the computer worked fine on the battery power and if I had known I needed a harddrive I could have taken the computer back home, taken my information off and brought it back. To call me AFTER work had been done which I did not authorize, and to tell me it would cost $280.00 to get my data pissed me off. But, Bestbuy wasnt finished. They then asked me about the XP operating disk that I got when I bought the lap top. I told them that I have moved several times since then and didnt have them. They said they needed them to put the operating system back on my computer or my computer would not work. I REMINDED the idiots that I didnt ASK to have my harddrive replaced in the first place. They told me to call HP to request a replacement set of disks. HP tells me that they are no longer commercially available. I call back and tell Bestbuy and Bestbuy tells me the only option I have is to buy a new XP operating system for $200.00. At this point I am pass pissed. So now they are telling me that even though I paid $400.00 for the 3 year full extended warranty, that I have to pay them $500.00 for a $900 laptop in repairs that I didnt request. BUT BESTBUY ISNT FINISHED. I called a friend who said that he could recover the data. He said that if Bestbuy can get the data off, then the harddrive is not completely faulty or destroyed. I go into the Bestbuy and ask them to just send me my harddrive back. I can get the information off myself. They said OKAY, and then 1 hour later, they call and say...they cant return the harddrive. They tell me that I can either pay the $280.00 or they are going to destroy the harddrive and sent it back to HP. Its MY freaking harddrive! I am the owner. They tell me that their disclaimer for service, indicates that its not responsible for loss data. I remind them that its a harddrive its HARDWARE! I sent several letters to Bestbuy and made telephone calls as far as I could go...with no avail. I was merely dismissed as an angry customer. Here I was being told I would have to pay $500.00 to get my computer back functional and with my information and Bestbuy wasnt even willing to merely return me my "damaged" harddrive so I could get the information taken off myself. My next stop was to call the Better Business Bureau, which I did. About a 3 weeks later, I recieved a telephone call saying they would put my information back on my computer for free, but I would still have to pay the $200 for the operating system. By this time, I had realized that half of my information had been backed up on an external harddrive which I owned, so I never even responded to the telephone calls. The buddy who offered to fix the computer for me, sent me his operating system disks for XP and I re-installed them myself. I realized that my 2003 HP is probably old as dirt in the computer world, so the very next week, I went to Circuit City and bought a brand new gateway. It was probably more out of spite. But I have enjoyed having it and now I keep one laptop at home and I take my old beat up HP on the road with me in my travels. I will NEVER spend another DIME in Bestbuy. read more

Be aware of the credit card scam, I purchased all my appliances with my Best Buy credit card because they were promoting "0" Interest for 36 months, but when the promotion expired they charge $4779.00 on Interest charge at once, this is what they called a balloon charge, meaning if you owe anything of the promotional balance when the promo expires they will charge you interest for the full amount times 36 months. I thought this was a mistake and when I called customer service they were horrible, they told me That I had to pay the remaining balance in full otherwise I will be charge an additional $4779.00 dls. This is more than the amount I purchased. I wished the explained that before you use their credit card, so I didn't have to be surprised with this crazy amount. I also noticed other customers had the same experience. I paid the remaining balance but I would never purchase anything at Best Buy, not only because they never explain this when you make a purchase but also because of the way the customer service representative talked to me. My husband and I have now bought 2 appliances from the Humble Best Buy and have been very pleased with the customer service both times. Kyle helped us both times, and was informative and good at helping us identify the various features and what we would really care about without being pushy. The prices are reasonable; the installation of our dishwasher was on time and the person who did the install was efficient and even had tips about how to keep it clean. We are still waiting on our oven to come, because of all the backorders going on right now, but I've been very impressed with the customer service throughout the process. I'm normally a BEST BUY CHEERLEADER, however after dealing with Caleb B, a manager at the Humble location, I'm extremely disappointed! While at check out, I was trying to purchase a product, one I've purchased previously. My last purchase had awarded a discount of $5 on each product if 6 were purchased at the register. I had 6 with me, the 2 cashiers working at the Geek Squad area (only check out available) we're trying to be helpful. The system would not let them ring up more than 3. The cashier said, no problem. We'll ring 3 now and your husband can buy 3 with the other cashier which was helpful. I inquired if the discount was still available. They called a manager to assist. Caleb came to the counter and before we could even ask our questions, he said "No, you cannot buy more than 3, shrugged his shoulders and said, that's just the way it is." I tried to explain that was not my question, that as the cashier suggested, we would split the purchase. I just wanted to see if the discount was available. I had already mentioned to the cashier, we would buy them anyway, but it didn't hurt to ask. (Apparently it does). Again, before I could finish, he said "NOPE, THATS NOT GONNA HAPPEN, I'm the manager and you can't have more than 3". I would've been fine with that, I'm not trying to break rules, I was simply trying to ask about the price. I couldn't get my question out between his arrogance and rudeness. I said, no problem, I'll take my business elsewhere, he shrugged and said "good". Again, so disappointed with this treatment. The recent redesigning of Best Buy stores was very good for this location. There's far more open space now and merchandise is easier to access. I love the new way of displaying the televisions, all across the back wall. It makes it much easier to decide on which brand to go with for a purchase, and the other available sizes of the TV are listed on a tag by the name. It really makes things easier. Service at the checkout is slower than I think it should be, and I'm not entirely sure why that is. The employees doing the ringing and/or checking up at the registers just aren't in any hurry to move people along. It seems to be a leisurely process for them. If Best Buy could up the standards in that area, I'd be much more impressed. The service on the sales floor has always been exceptional in my experiences. If I have a question, an available representative is always able to point me right in the direction I need to go. Today, I had some questions about a flat screen television and the representative took care of them swiftly and professionally. He also offered me more information about the television stands and other things that would be useful in the purchase. Best Buy also keeps a good amount of things in stock, so I rarely have trouble finding what I need. I love this location, and I know I can rely on them for what I need. read more
