I first met Mark when I bought a car for my son. Since then, I've bought and sold several vehicles through him--including a BMW, Lexus, Toyota Prius, Chevy Volt, Tesla, and others. Many of those vehicles are still serving us well today. The reason I waited more than a decade to write this review is simple. I'm not someone who judges people quickly. I believe a person's character is revealed over time, and after ten years, I feel I've earned the right to share my experience. Has Mark sold some cars for more and others for less? Probably. That's just business. But this review isn't really about the price of a car. It's about the person behind the business. So why not a perfect 10? Because I believe Mark works too hard. He spends so much time taking care of his customers that he sometimes forgets to take care of himself. If I had to take away half a point, it would only be because I'd like to see him manage his stress a little better and take better care of his health. I want him to be around, doing what he does best, for many years to come. Over the past decade, I've found Mark to be honest, dependable, and someone who stands behind what he sells. If you're trying to buy a car go somewhere else, don't waste your time coming to this place. After scheduling an appointment with Mark the owner, I got to the body shop (not a dealer) I waited 20 minutes and called him twice, he never answered the phone so I just left, what a waste of my time, 30 minuter to drive there and 20 minutes waiting at the body shop and Mark never showed up. I took a chance and bought a reconditioned 4runner based on all the stellar reviews and that he stands by his work. I've had it a month now and everything has been great with it. When I arrived to look at the truck, I met Mark and he was so genuine--which was like a breath of fresh air compared to all the other dealers I had visited. I needed a 4runner I could trust wouldn't break down on me that was also in my budget. Since I'm not a mechanic, that meant I needed to trust who I was buying from. My instincts told me that Mark was a good guy. The shop was not glitzy. It is a yard full of cars that they are working on on a street filled with similar shops. It is small and local which means their best advertising is good reviews. That means they would never want to sell a lemon and end up with a bad review. I let Mark know I was going to drive to Alaska next year and he joked that he worried I would test-drive it all the way there! What he didn't know is that Alaska is on my bucket list because I have advanced cancer. I've got some years left, but I know this could potentially be the last vehicle I buy--I mean it is a Toyota after all and should last forever ;). Bought a 2015 Toyota Prius C Trim 2. It's been a week driving the car and didn't give any bad experience. So far so good! Gives me good mileage. The owner Mr Moiz was pleasant and kind enough to tell me if there is any issue with the car I can bring it back to his shop and he will try and fix it. He did try fixing the rear switch of my window unfortunately he doesn't have any spare working switch. My experience with Best Buy Imports is okay, not a typical dealer that has a lounge where a customer can sit and relax... it's his honesty about the car he is selling and his rapport to his customer made me decide to give him 5 star. read more

I was used car shopping across 3-4 models for 6+ weeks all throughout southern California looking for the perfect deal. It did not exist. Every single time I got to the final out-the-door price EVERY used car dealer in LA or OC threw in a last second fee or hidden cost that made the final price due ridiculously higher than what the price was advertised (+ the usual tax and registration). Then I came to check out a 2014 Chevy Volt at Best Buy (sold by Mark). He was the absolute most friendly, transparent and straight-forward sales guy I met through the the entire sales process. The mileage was a little higher than quoted so he knocked the price down a couple hundred bucks. The registration was only valid for 6 months so he cut the registration cost in half for me. Everything was fair, reasonable and all facts were on the table. I happily walked away with my vehicle and finally lived happily ever after after a painful 6 week experience elsewhere. Word to the wise, do not go to any car dealership to even test drive the vehicle until they give you the final out-the-door price with all fees. 99% of the time it's significantly marked up at the last second. I purchased a 2013 Volt from Mark at Best Buy Imports about 6 weeks ago. This was a salvage title and he gave me a good price on a very nice car (better than any other dealer's price for similar), and took care of all the smog, registration, mailed me the plates - all for no extra charges (except for actual DMV cost for registration and sales tax). He explained the actual damage and repairs in detail, and showed me photos of the car as he purchased it with damage, so I was confident about the condition of the car. He drove the car quite a bit himself after repairs to check it's condition before sale. It has been fine since purchase with exception of 12V battery replacement, a normal repair for a car this age.
