We recently purchased a Lenovo laptop (we were talked into it) because our old computer wouldn't take Windows 11. We've had it two weeks and it's been nothing but problems. The Geek Squad had to upload the system twice at the store and I've had it done remotely once since then. Now I have another problem where we can not access certain things on the laptop because we don't have permission and we're not the administrator. I tried the online help from Geek Squad and after 40 minutes the tech helping me told me to take it back to the store and then abruptly ended the session by closing it out on me. read more

Never had a bad experience here and always came here for all my electronic needs and entertainment needs but recently truly upset to see and hear that all best buys are doing away with physical media with movies. I attempted to return a defective laptop I purchased 16 days ago. I was told the only way I could return it would be if I purchased a $50 annual fee membership. I explained that this was the second laptop of the same model that I returned this month. Both were defective. However this last one was 2 days over the 14 day return period. Furthermore the "manager" advised me I would need to spend about $500 if I wanted a decent laptop. I can't recall ever being treated so poorly by a retailer. read more

I want to give a shout-out to Jay in the phone department. He helped me find exactly what I needed, did not try to up sell, and transferred the SIM card from my old phone to my new one. I'm on the older side and not too phone-smart, and he was helpful and friendly and made me feel good about my purchase. I wish I'd caught the name of the young man who handled my check-out. Don't buy a tv here if you need one. Today (Black Friday) my husband and I came in and bought a 65 inch tv. We didn't know we were getting it until we were there, so we had a smaller car with us. As we went to take the tv out to the car, it wouldn't fit. Well, apparently at this Best Buy (or maybe it's all Best Buy's) you aren't allowed to leave your tv with the staff for 10 minutes while you switch to a vehicle it will fit in. By this I mean that the staff at Best Buy literally made my husband stand out in the freezing cold, with a 65 inch, on Black Friday for his dad to get there with a truck we could fit it in. We tried to ask if we could just come in and pay for delivery but the worker wouldn't really answer our question and then complained that we took the trolley thing outside to use for getting the tv in the car. (Apparently you have to lug your 100 lb tv out there by yourself because their trolley thing is just too valuable to go outside) Anyone could have robbed/jumped him to get the tv had they wanted to. So, I call back and file a complaint with management and they tell me that they don't let people keep them inside after purchase Incase, get this, THE STORE CATCHES ON FIRE OR SOMETHING AND RUINS IT. So, you allow online orders and pickups where you can leave your already paid for product for days but setting it inside for 10 minutes to switch vehicles is unacceptable? Plus, you have a store full of expensive technology as well as customers and staff, and your concern if the place catches on fire is one $400 tv that you have to replace? And to this company it's better that a customer who just gave them great business stands out in the freezing cold with an expensive electronic than take that million to one risk? What the hell kind of customer service is that? The manager told me that if the item won't fit in your vehicle then your options are standing out front with it or taking it in, returning it, then repurchasing it. WHAT? What kind of sense does that make? The manager asked what they could do and I said nothing really we already left pretty much the only thing would be some kind of gift card for being treated so poorly. And Best Buy, one of the largest electronics companies, said no. Best Buy could easily afford to send someone a gift card for treating them poorly (especially one who made such a huge purchase) but they care so little about their customers that it is just not doable. Best Buy wants your money but will literally let you stand out front in thirty degree weather with an electronic that can be stolen from anyone before they will help you out for 10 minutes. I strongly urge you to not buy any TVs from here unless you always drive a big ass vehicle when you're in town because this is the most ridiculous experience I've ever had with a store. Will not be going back and will be spreading this experience because Best Buy is trash. read more

This best buy is simply awful, they have no contractual spirit at all. I booked an order to have my car recorder installed at 11AM today, and since this bestbuy was the closest, I made an appointment at this store even though it was far away from me, but at 10:40AM a male staff called me. Told me they couldn't complete my order, I had been driving on the highway for a long time and he said the system didn't know the length of time the Audi needed to be installed so he couldn't do anything about it, at my appointment yesterday I also chose the model of my car and also saw that there was a lot of availability today but he just told me there was no time. He sounded like he was taking this for granted, he sounded like he was saying it was all my fault. He didn't feel sorry at all. He didn't even say "Sorry" to me, like we customers owed him. He hung up on me after telling me that he couldn't finish my order today, he didn't think it was the BEST BUY's problem at all, and I was disappointed by his bad and indifferent attitude. I would rather go to another BestBuy than this one again, and in the end he didn't cancel my order, even if I had to call and cancel it myself (but this time the female operator was very nice, she was very nice and helpful). I don't know why this BestBuy is so unprofessional to cancel an order before the appointment and not feel sorry at all. Made me waste my morning and drive 2 hours for nothing! read more

On multiple occasions I have visited this store and I am always just standing around with everyone looking at me but not once asking if I need help. Today, I stood in the same spot for 35 mins before a young lady came to ask if I needed help. I told her what I needed, she then proceeded to say she'd be back and never returned. I then waited another 15 mins before asking a young man if there was anyone to continue helping me. He said he'd go get someone to come help me, and he too never returned. I will continue my business at a Best Buy in a city near by because these people are never available to assist you. They just walk by and chat with their co-workers. Very poor customer service. Best Buy is like a personal toy store for me at times, but this time it was a necessity that I visit here. I live in Tampa, FL and normally could have waiting to go home, but needed a new charger for my cell phone. Not sure who runs this store, but that person needs to readdress the staff. I went to the cell phone department and looked for a charger, did not see a charger for my cell phone so I asked for help with finding my charger, but the glassed look into her eyes seemed to appear that helping me was the last thing she would be capable of. I asked for assistance anyways and was answered, "uh what?" I asked again and could not find a charger, I asked if there was a overstock area or a another brand that I could get as well and was answered with, "umm, err". I just decided to look for myself since I did not want to wait until my next birthday to get my charger. I would up finding the charger mixed in with the headsets and left before I asked another question and possibly get drooled on or something. While I will still shop at Best Buy, but not this one unless I absolutely had to. read more

Just purchased an Apple I-Pad a few days ago for my wife's birthday. As I was leaving salesman told me she could bring it back to have data transferred from old I-Pad at no charge. It would be quick and easy. Great. Except...... When my wife returned today the free transfer was now $100 because of the risk and liability in the event data was lost!!! What happened to quick, easy and free? Not doing business there anymore. I'm buying directly from Apple and transferring data myself. read more

Horrible place. Every time I come here it's bad. This time I got there at exactly 9pm because I ordered something online, paid for it and was going to pick it up. Clearly there were still customers in the store. I explained to the clown in the yellow shirt that I am here at 9 and I drove over an hour to get here and just have to pick up the item. Bought a prepaid phone online dec 23. Verizon couldn't hook it up. Defective. Returned Jan 9th. Was told it had a 14 day return time limit and can only get store credit because I'm returning on the 17 day. Technically it would be 16 cause there closed on christmas. So only 2 days past their policy. so now my daughter has a gift card that she don't want cause I was never informed in anyway of the time limit. Store manager was rude and showed me the policy is on the bottom of the website. Worker was very apologetic. read more

Returned an item with receipt, but was told since it was past the 15 days, all I could get was a gift card....it had been only 12 days.....but she wouldn't budge and said she was the MGR. So I took the gift card and went looking to redeem it. While looking at, I was rudely told to MOVE since this kid had to bring a HUGE ladder down the isle and I was in his way! I moved closer to the shelf and once again I was told I needed to get out of the isle completely!.....I got mad and left and will never return to this store......I think the Corp. Good service and selection on speakers. They carried the base models as well as high line. Staff was knowledgeable but check out was slow.

When purchasing (of course) I have never had a problem with the staff. I got exceptional service in the cell phone department, with both the purchase and an after purchase problem I had. But I did have a problem with trying to get service on a DVR player that wasnt working. It had very few hours on it and was having trouble playing DVD's. I just wanted it repaired, I had purchased the extra warranty. The guy tried to make me think it was in my head because their DVD worked fine. I had to go home to get my remote (to have it fixed mind you), and when I got back I was lucky enough to get a different guy. I had also brought back my DVD that wouldnt work and was able to show them that, although I was happy for them that their DVD worked, mine didnt. At that point I was able to actually to get a new DVD player! read more

I bought 3 appliances from them in which I only needed the refrigerator installed and even bought there steal line package. All the movers said was that they could not install it on a plastic line. Well thats why I bought the line. Then they said that the line I bought wouldn't reach, they didn't even measure. They didn't finish the install, not because of the water line not getting hooked up, they left the handles to the new refrigerator for my wife to put on. These guys hide behind some BS policies. All they want is your money, don't give it to them. I recommend that you go some where else because they have so soul, they only like money. If I could, I wouldn't give them a star. read more

Worst customer service I've experienced. Bought a Sony receiver from them that stopped working and brought it in for replacement under manufacturer warranty (~6 months since purchase). They would not help me at all and said I had to send it in through Sony myself. Took it to the Ann Arbor store and they swapped it out for a new unit and sent into Sony under Manufacturer's warranty. I will not go to the Jackson store again after this experience and complete lack of customer service... read more

I came in to purchase a laptop. I really got lucky with the employee who waited on me. His name is Gabe. He was quick to assist me, very knowledgeable and polite. He cared about me getting a laptop that fit my needs. He was fantastic. He did not try to oversell or be pushy. He was so helpful to me in my decision. The return policy is absolutely inflexible and I find it unacceptable. I tried to return a blu ray player on Jan 26 because it was a duplicate Christmas gift. They told me I had missed the deadline, which was Jan 24. It was only wo days later, but they couldn't accommodate me with a credit to my card or a cash refund. Sales clerk and mangager both said i could get only a store credit. I decided to keep the player, and use it myself or sell it. Will not be likely to buy from them in the future. Be advised if you purchase from them to make sure you know the return policy. read more

Feel like I got the old "bait and switch" today. Went in looking for a laptop for my son, he came along. After waiting a very long time for help from the only person on that side of the floor, my son told her what he was after. She suggested we buy a "open box" unit that was marked down $150. I asked her "what's wrong with it" and she replied "nothing". So I took the bait and bought it. Well SURPRISE!!! it didn't work. Drove all the way back to the store and had a Geek Squad guy check it out( and by the way, it had a Geek Squad checked label on it) and he agreed that it was defective. He said "no problem we'll just exchange it for another if we have one". So back to waiting for this poor girl trying to cover a huge area by herself to see if they had another. Finally she had time to find us one and we head to check out and YEP you guessed it, I had to fork out the other $150. So you'll sell me one for $600 but if I want one that works, that'll be another $150. read more
