Yet another BAD review for Best Buy with no help from staff, company or Corporate. (please read this and do not delete this- it is one that should be read) Things you should know about BestBuy before you purchase and or get insurance coverage. I a long time customer repeatedly have had issues over the years and most recently. If you have insurance that you pay yearly and finances are hard so you call to cancel BE AWARE THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND THE NEXT DAY AND REQUEST TO BE REINSTATED. You loose all coverage on anything you have purchased with in the time of your coverage. Calls go out of the states and you get a person who sounds like a computer just repeating the same sentence. Ask for a supervisor get transferred to a grid and eventually yet another Customer Service person answers and you have to start all over again. Done explaining, ask for a supervisor yet again, You are told - this is the way we escalate issues- some one will call you back. THEN, THEY NEVER DO. Ask for contact to corporate- they don't know. Go to store, server at desk Has no idea other than to say yeah thats the way it is. Buy something and wait for the electrician to come to install it, and wait and wait and then go to return it finding out it s the wrong item, too bad its over 60 days you are now stuck with it, no returns allowed. Best Buy has been around for so long doing business. It saddens and angers me how unhelpful my experiences are as a customer and whereever the fine print is it must be very small as customers are only made aware of things as they happen. Certainly there should be a grace period for the insurance coverage If its Iron Clad then where would the corporate people be to contact in request for an exception to the rule for valid reasons like when someone dies and situations change. I recently went into Best Buy to shop for a new TV and some home appliances, and I have to say--George absolutely went above and beyond to help me. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me at the door and walked with me all the way to the back of the store, listening carefully to my needs and taking the time to educate me without any pressure. He clearly explained the differences between QLED and OLED TVs, and even showed me side-by-side comparisons between a $500 TV and a $2,300 model. What I appreciated most was that he helped me understand how I could go bigger in screen size without needing more space, thanks to thinner bezels on modern TVs. He also pointed out that while the picture quality is great, most TV sound systems are lacking--and he recommended a Sonos setup to create an integrated sound experience both indoors and outdoors. George also coordinated a professional installation with Geek Squad, and personally called me the day before to confirm the appointment. That kind of follow-up really impressed me. On the appliance side, he helped me build a complete package: refrigerator, wall oven, laundry set, and gas cooktop, all with installation included. He walked me through every detail, answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed. One of the best surprises? I was going to pay in cash, but George told me about the Best Buy credit card, which gives 10% back in rewards. He explained I could pay the card off immediately after, which made it an easy decision. Best Buy customer service has diminished substantially. I have been a long-time, satisfied Best Buy customer until recently. Best Buy doesn't realize that good products and service are what keep customers returning. It is much cheaper to keep your current customers than to build a new customer base. My 91- year-old homebound uncle recently fell prey to online scammers, giving them access to his old laptop and bank account. Fortunately, I learned of it quickly and froze his assets before too much damage was done. My husband and I researched laptops on Best Buy's website and called your Customer Service team with questions on Wednesday night (3/26/25). I spoke with a young woman who provided completely incorrect info about the Geek squad service plans and costs. The next afternoon, I called the Levittown, NY store to ensure they had the specific laptop in stock. The call was obviously with a call center employee, Lexi (not the store) who was very professional and well-spoken. She informed me that there was only one remaining laptop of that model at the Levittown location and recommended that I purchase it through her and pick it up at the store to ensure that it was still available. I agreed to do so and reviewed the coverage info that I was given the night before. She told me that I was misinformed, that what I needed to purchase for the Geek Squad assistance was a $179.99 plan that would ensure Geek Squad access for my 91-year-old homebound uncle, plus a $149.99 fee for the Geek Squad to do a house call for the set-up. The way it was presented sounded like the in-home Geek Squad visits would continue on this plan. By this time, the $629.99 laptop became $ 1,042.77, but ensuring that my uncle had the support he needed was a priority. I asked Lexi if she could schedule the Geek Squad appointment for us for the upcoming Saturday, 3/1, telling her that I live 30 minutes away from my uncle and needed to be present because he does not readily walk up and down the stairs in his two story condo. She scheduled an appointment and told me that they would be at my uncle's house sometime between 7AM and 7PM on Saturday. I spoke to the store manager (Larry) and explained the situation, asking him to intercede with the Geek Squad team to help me get an appointment window smaller than the 12-hour span I was given. He said that he had no ability to do so, and suggested that I call them immediately before their schedule closed with no flexibility. Although a pleasant man, he was no help at all. I went out to my car and called the Geek Squad toll free number, and spoke with two different people (neither who were fluent in intelligible English). The called lasted at least 45 minutes. They told me that a technician would call me some time on Friday and I could request my preferred time frame. Friday afternoon, "Shawn" left a message promising to call me between 8AM - 8:45AM on Saturday with an arrival window. Immediately, I phoned back leaving a message requesting an afternoon time slot and asking him to call me back. I did not receive a return call. Friday evening, I received an email from Best Buy telling me that the Geek Squad appointment was finalized and would be between 12:30PM-4:30PM on Saturday. That was finally wonderful news. Saturday morning, I received a call from "Shawn," at 8:10AM, saying that he is on his way to Massapequa Park for the 9AM printer installation (NOT the laptop ordered). Turns out, Shawn was in another state and passed my call on to another installer who would not be there until 4:30PM. I drove home only to have to return hours later. From my first encounter with your telephone people to the final set-up, I spent almost eight hours of my time to accomplish what should have been a quick and seamless experience. On 4/3/25, "Allison Stavros," from Best Buy Customer service left a phone message on my home machine mid-morning on a weekday, asking me to call her to discuss my letter. Despite having my cell phone (which was on the letter) as my daytime contact, she chose a contact method that will allow her to simply leave a message and move on. Needless to say, I was at my office, receiving the message after business hours. In the past 10 days, I've left "Allison" a return message at the contact number she left, with no follow-up response. Here it is 4/14 and I have still not received a follow-up call from Best Buy. The long revered "Best Buy" has sadly morphed into "Worst Buy" due to their loss of interest in patient experience. I went in recently after being a customer since the early 2000s and I bought an open box listed as "excellent" before a big move out of state. To our dismay the box held nothing - and I mean nothing but the soundbar. After an hour on the phone waiting for customer service and being hung up on, I called the location directly. The person on the phone informed me that this is incredibly common!!! Incredibly common for a $700 soundbar to come with no wires, no remote, and instructions to a Sony Bravia TV? Wild. I entered the store and after waiting first on line for 10+ minutes, the kid who pushed us to buy the open box and even knocked off $10 was the person walking to register to start our return or attempted fix at the missing pieces. He did not care and said I should've opened the box and checked. So YOU as the buyer are responsible to inspect your open box before leaving even though geek squad is said to have "certified this box as excellent" - That's not what Best Buy's website says! Furthermore there were 0 comparable soundbars and he said "we would pay the difference, of course" as smug as they come! Never again will they receive a cent from me. He nervously refunded us and said there is no opportunity for feedback to the company which I will be challenging as I feel that may not be the case. Short and sweet, I ordered a DVD box set just in time for Christmas and received it on 12/21/2022 only to find out that they sent a completely different title, so apparently someone packed it wrong. I returned it on 12/23/2022 using their shipping label and they received it on 12/28/2022. Today is Feb. 1st. 2023, 34 days after they received it and all they keep saying is that they are sending the information to their "back end and acceleration team and I will be notified in two days." I have contacted them more than a dozen times, and they keep answering the same way. So, my advice is never to order anything online through the BestBuy website. read more

I've been a Best Buy member for years and they have always been my go to for electronics and kitchen. I'm not as impressed by Best Buy as I used to be, especially the Levittown location. Past couple of times I went in there, sales associates were no where to be found. Same held true when I went in there around 2pm today to buy a $2200 Orbi Mesh wifi set. To get the item you had to give a ticket to the sales associate. Back in the day if you stood in a section for 3 minutes, someone would approach and ask if you needed assistance. Today I hung around the wifi area for about 10 minutes and not an associate in sight. Ended up bringing my ticket with on the register and as I walked over, I noticed some of the associates tucked away out of sight on their phones. Gave the ticket to someone at the register who informed me I need to give it to an associate on the floor. I told him none seem to be available to seem to want to make a sale. Instead of getting on the headset to notify someone to help me, the associate at the register pointed to the computer section and told me I might find someone to help over there. I walk over and same associates are tucked away on their phone appearing more interested in TikTok than their jobs and I didn't want to deal with anyone like that. Get to the computer section and no associate in sight. Only associate who seemed to be working was at the cell phone desk and he had a line so I couldn't ask him for help. Walked around with this ticket a little longer and no one even came close to asking if I needed assistance. After spending over 30 minutes in the store I buy something I planned on, I gave up, put the ticket back and will have to use Amazon to order the item. At least I can just click buy now and now the item is on its way in a minute as opposed to find someone who may be interested in their job at this Best Buy location. read more

When I asked to speak to a manager, he said he was the "customer service mgr" and he handed the computer to the customer himself. when I asked to speak to someone above him, he said there was no one else there until next week. I found out he lied when I walked around store and asked if there was any other managers in back. Eric (store manager) then came out and said there was nothing they can do. My credit card company credited me back for the computer immediately and said that it must be an inside job. Obviously, they would not show me surveillance cameras. Bought a PC gaming computer and Monitor total price around $2400 on cyber Monday. Got and email pick up ready for December 2. I was so excited on December 1st so I went on the site to double check again to make sure and I got a notice saying my order was canceled. What!? Really?! How?! Who!?. I called them to find out what happened and they keep transferring me to heavy accented Indian which is hard to understand. They said they can't give me the cyber Monday deal now since it is passed. Really? They told me someone called to cancelled the purchase and I ask them who? And did they verify the person ID? Any of their employees can pretend to call and cancel the purchases. They don't know. They don't no anything. It was frustrating talking to them one after another for an hour and all I get is I don't know. They don't know anything. Next year I'll just go to Micro Center. Their customer service is much better and not doing shady business. I didn't cancel any order by the way. They helped every step of the way, from showing me the different towers to choose, to pick up, and most importantly sending me to the Geek Squad for the transferring and installation of my old tower data. The employees were friendly, and they did a great job. This place easily deserves 5 stars. Best Buy is always a great place to go for your electronic needs. Hi Friends. I needed some SD cards for our cameras and phones. I was also curious about the advancement in ear buds. They're great for communicating with your team in loud venues. I purchased the Rowkin plus. So small, they're almost like the ones in the spy movies. The sound quality of the Rowkin is incredibly rich and full for their tiny size. (Smaller than a dime). The Ultra plus micro SDXC and UHS-1 Card were usually sold at $139.99 ea. On Sale for just $29.99.. I saved $110.00 each. With a limit of 4. I went back for 4 more. I Yelped this deal and told all of my friends. Wow ! Thanks to the GREAT sales associates and my personal salesman who took me around the store and showed me everything I needed. Love It. And spent double what I was going to because of his help. This was a great Best Buy to come to . It was so easy getting a parking spot. I visited the best buy Levittown location today to have a new car stereo installed. The installer, Chris was very professional. He greeted me as soon as I arrived, went over some install information and was nice enough to walk me through to the main store where I was able to relax and enjoy looking around. The entire install took only about 40 minutes and it looks great. Chris's was even able to utilize the previous aftermarket radios wiring and mounting kit so it didn't cost me anything extra. I really appreciate that best buy doesn't try to nickle and dime you for unnecessary things. While browsing through the store during my wait, it was a bit empty. I was asked if I needed help by at least half of the employees. There is never a lack of help at this location. I saw some really nice TV's. In fact, there were some new 2019 LG TV's that looked as excellent as some of the OLED TV's at about half the price. If I needed a new TV I would definitely consider one. I would suggest checking them out in person. Very impressive. I would definitely recommend this best buy for car stereo installs. This was surely a 5-star visit. read more

The delivery date all of a sudden became a no go and communicating with the store or any other Best Buy representative became impossible. They say they will refund my money if they can't deliver within 2 weeks but I was promised the television today. No concrete info or accountability. This review is specifically for the Cell Phone department and for Joel, the representative who assisted us. His professionalism was truly appreciated while we shopped for an iPhone for my uncle who needed to upgrade from a broken, archaic flip phone and is unfamiliar with smartphones and correspondent phone/data plans - which is the reason I accompanied him to Best Buy. However, had I known Joel would be helping him, my uncle would likely have done fine going by himself. Joel was compassionate and knowledgeable: after Joel finished with a customer at a high-top counter and call us up next to be helped, upon seeing my uncle in a wheelchair, he immediately moved us to the lower/accessible counter. Within 30 minutes, my uncle had a new phone and felt confident in what to expect on his monthly bills. Joel may not have realized, but his compassion, patience in answering questions of all sorts, and professionalism gave my uncle back some of the dignity he felt was lost as a result of his stroke and for that, I am grateful. read more

I waited 15 minutes outside but my order was still not ready. so I went inside to check. The order was never processed because of a credit card issue. No one called to let me know. They told me to cancel my order and to go find it in the store. So after 15 minutes I finally found someone to get it for me. Left with the wrong memory card , realizing after I opened it. So i had to get to target and buy another one. They also had the same camera I purchased. Wish I just went there instead. They were very helpful. read more

This location is ABSOLUTELY terrible on doing business. I bought a laptop online for in store pickup to surprise my wife on an terrible day she was having-- the laptop was in stock, I called the store number and got rerouted to their "international help desk". Fine. I spoke with a specialist who helped me buy the laptop and ensure it was an in store pickup. Laptop paid for by 10:30 am--confirmed by the sales guy, "all your wife has to do is come in and pick it up". I tell the news to my wife, she's excited, she shows up to pick up said laptop at 12:30 pm-- store rep was like "ughhh not ready yet, come back later"-- Ready for what? Ready from what? You go unlock the cage and get the boxed laptop... anyways she gets blown off, COMES back at 3:00 pm... waits in line again, sees the clerk and is met with an "ughhh nahh it's not ready, come back tomorrow or something." I was on the phone with her hearing this. 30 minutes of waiting and trying to figure out who's head wasn't up somebody else's ass, we finally decided to cancel the order and refund my $1,000. You are the reason brick and mortar stores will cease to exist. Buyers beware. You're better off using Amazon or building your own laptop than getting help here. read more

My parents recently bought a washing machine from this Best Buy location. They were told to buy a new hose for $35, which they did. When the machine was installed they were told the new hose wasn't needed so they could return it. My father brought it to the Levittown location and was told that it was a different hose and the manager basically accused him of being a crook. I bought a washing machine recently too and the same hose situation occurred. I brought it back to Home Depot and had no issues. So this is not an uncommon situation. The way the manager, Charlie Darwin, spoke to my father is unacceptable and just plain dumb. Other customers on the line jumped in to the conversation too because it was so ridiculous. At 79 years old he is running around scamming companies over washing machine hoses. Buys the machines too. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! He has high blood pressure and was not feeling good after this absurd encounter. Thankfully he is okay. Disgusting way to treat a senior citizen and customer. In the past I have made many purchases from this store and Best Buy in general. They will not see me again. Obviously my parents won't be back and the rest of my family has made the same commitment.
