Best Buy in Mount Laurel is the best (no pun intended) store around. The people are fantastic and service is always great. I been to other locations and this is my favorite. I also like the fact that the sales people are very knowledgeable about all the products. The one thing that brings me in is the prices but their willingness to help is what keeps me coming back. Sales associates are great, BUT if their merchandise fails their warranty programs are terrible. DON'T fall for the extended warranties scam. I purchased a washer and dryer on the same day at the same time but had to be two different transactions. I specifically asked for a set that was in stock. I set up delivery for the following Wednesday so that I could receive them both at the same time and not have to miss two days of work. The Monday before my delivery I called to reschedule for Friday. I was told no problem and received a confirmation email. Wednesday (canceled delivery day) they showed up to my house to deliver. Called and notified them of the confirmed changed in delivery. They apologized and stated they would be there on Friday. At 12 noon (9-1pm delivery time) they showed up with dryer only. As soon as the delivery man unwrapped they dryer he discovered it was damaged! I was promised both would be delivered today. I called this morning to confirm both would be delivered and now I'm being told that only washer is being delivered bc dryer is on back order. I asked why I was never told about this and asked to speak to a supervisor. I've now been on hold for over 1.5 hours. I then called back and was told there are no supervisors to speak to and that they are just a call center for Best Buy. Today I had a delivery time of 9-1pm as a company if you screwed up this bad wouldn't you have me scheduled first thing?! Now I have to wait until they deliver and then go 30 min down the road to speak to a supervisor!!! This place is insane!!! This is definitely a Bad place to buy! read more

I came in and ordered a refrigerator. Upon checking out the sales person stated if there is anything wrong during delivery go ahead and accept it and they can re-deliver a new one. W had no fridge. So when it was delivered and it was dented we did as told. We called and they offered a credit for us to keep it or have it replaced. Their offer was insulting. Stating the dent was not very bad. Any dent is more than anybody would want in their newly remodeled kitchen. So in order to have a new fridge delivered I now needed to make a trip back to the store. The sale person at the store said to me today all I needed to do was call him. The new fridge is being delivered on Saturday. The fact that there was no consideration for my time spent waiting for the fridge, having to wait another week now for a new one, and having to now figure out what I am going to do with the food in this fridge is beyond me. "Ok, your all set a new one will be delivered..". Next time I will go other big box stores. There are 3 right next to them. Maybe the other places will value their customers more. ***Update*** This morning I got up and emptied the fridge... Emptied all the ice... Moved the kitchen island(heavy) and waited for my delivery. They schedule it for next Saturday instead of today. I am beyond frustrated.. ***Update*** So reacheduled the delivery and advised me they would call me to confirm the delivery and process a credit. We have been to this location a few times and they are friendly and always busy. We had purchased a tablet for my daughter and she of course cracked and we had not purchased the exyended warranty- did not seem price effective considering it was $100 tablet for sale at $60. Well we took it into the Geek Squad and the gentleman that helped was an absolute pleasure to work with. He answered all of our questions and gave us the real deal regarding getting the tablet fixed. We are in the market to purchase another one and because he was helpful as well as honest we will return. We have purchased a laptop here as well as other electronics and so far it has been good experiences. Instead we met a very knowledgeable sales person who walked us through the pros and cons of different models and we ended up making a confident purchase. That rarely happens today. After going over a month from the start of a covered warranty repair on our washer to the promised delivery date of the warranty replacement...I took the day off from work on the day that was scheduled on the receipt and which was also confirmed by telephone. When the delivery time passed I called the store to be informed that the washer was back ordered, and that the warehouse had been aware of it. No one bothered to inform me that it would not be delivered...but I do have a delivery confirmation message on my machine. There answer is it's Samsung's fault. Their instrument section has a lot of options and some good deals in there. there are a lot of options as far as dvd's, cds, and smaller electronics go, but other than that I would look somewhere else. Best Buy, Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware: Paid for a new computer, anti-virus software (2 licenses), Microsoft Windows (2 licenses), paid extra for 'optimization,' came back the following day to pick it up at the store. Set it up at my residence and installed one (1) of the anti-virus licenses and one (1) of the Microsoft Word licenses. Created a single Word file, walked away from the computer for approximately 30 minutes. Returned to the computer and observed a field of multi-colored (green, blue, gray) micro dots which uniformly populated the monitor. Initial assumption: screen saver. Attempted to return to the Word Document which I had created and worked on, but the micro dot pattern described above would not disperse. Pressed the escape button, alt control delete, but the problem persisted. As a last resort I turned the computer off completely. After rebooting the computer, I was able to locate and continue work on the original Word document. Several hours later, I turned in for the night. The following morning, I returned to the computer to find the same micro dot pixel pattern populating the screen. Again, I repeated the aforementioned methods to back out of the problem, but had to reboot the computer to do so. Finally, I packed up the computer and brought it to Best Buy, Mt. Laurel, NJ. The Geek Squad supervisor agreed to look over the computer, but claimed not to have identified a problem. It should also be noted that he withheld a register receipt memorializing both my visit and problem which I was reporting. Brought the computer home and after setting it up again, the same problem presented on the screen after having walked away from the computer for a short time. Packed the computer back up and brought it to the Route 1, Lawrenceville, NJ Best Buy. The store manager pledged to check the computer, but also withheld a register receipt memorializing both my visit and description of the problem I described. After what was presented as a failed attempt to identify any anomalies, he handed back the computer and I set it upnhet again at home, only to find the same problem. I returned once more to the Mt. Laurel, NJ Best Buy and this time spoke with the female assistant store manager and same Geek Squad department head. The assistant manager ordered the Geek Squad manager to sell me a one (1) year maintenance policy and then fix the computer. The Geek Squad manager refused, both to fix the computer and sell me a maintenace policy and neither of them provided a register receipt memorializing both my third visit for the same problem an description of the problem which I was reporting. The assistant manager of the store refused to take back, fix or replace the computer with a new one. She advised that you have no proof of having brought it in three times for the same technical problem and that each time it was returned, no problems were found. The Geek Squad manager's refusal to cooperate was at least in part resultant from my having threatened to complain to corporate headquarters and enumerate his unprofessional attitude and conduct. A call to Best Buy corporate headquarters proved no less eye opening and illuminated, both directly and through indirect inference just how pervasive their shady, unethical business practices are at Best Buy. Corporate headquarters instructed me NOT to return the computer to a Best Buy store, but mail it to Best Buy corporate headquarters in its original box. Initially, they refused to reimburse for postage ($46.) and refused to justify their instructions NOT to attempt to return it to another Best Buy store. Reading between the lines, it is Best Buy policy to 'get rid' of defective, returned computers any way they can. This includes substituting a new computer for a defective returned computer when a customer has authorized a breach of the factory seal on the box for purposes of 'optimization.' Apparently, returning defective computers to the manufacturer for repair exceeds their profit margin so they shove defective computers in opened boxes and sell what is known as a defective, used computer as 'new' to one who springs for the extra $100 optimization expense, but decides to forego the extended warranty. As for a refund on the one (1) anti-virus and one (1) Microsoft Word licenses, Best Buy initially refused to refund either. Persistence paid off and those purchases were eventually credited back to my credit card. Lesson for intelligent consumers: If you are going to purchase a computer, NEVER WALK OUT OF BEST BUY WITH A BROKEN FACTORY SEAL ON THE BOX!!!! DO NOT AUTHORIZE BEST BUY TO INSTALL ANYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER. DO NOT AUTHORIZE 'OPTIMIZATIONS' OR ANYTHING ELSE. And insist upon a cash register generated receipt memorializing every computer problem related visit. We bought a Yoga 710 for our daughter to take to college last March (2018). The left hinge broke in the fall but she had to continue to use it since she was away at school. Which lead to the screen cracking. We took it back to Best Buy in January who sent it back to the company (Lenova) in Kentucky since it was under manufacturers warranty. Lenova called and told us they would not cover the damage since the laptop was dropped. (Fail) I explained that my daughter had not dropped the computer but the gentleman that I spoke with was belligerent and would not listen to anything I said. We called Best Buy and asked them to step in and speak with Lenova but they would not. Another fail. Best Buy said we could pay for the hinge fix (450.00) or buy a new computer (????) This computer is less than one year old and they are telling me to buy another computer. I was having a great experience until i was denied my rewards points that was promised. I bought 1800.00 worth of best buy gift cards which I choose instead of Amazon or Walmart. I spent about 1650.00 worth and was happy about the rewards i was promised by a supervisor and an employee at the store as i started to decide what to buy (whom names i recall in detail) I then allowed them so sign me up for rewards which now seems like a scam. I called the help center and after stating that they were not able to find my best buy gift-card purchase they could not do anything, NO APOLOGY, NO MANNERS and no attempt to satisfy me as a customer. Around a year ago I made an uneducated purchase and ended up with a bad product. I can't blame Best Buy, since new products are produced so quickly it might be hard to test their long term durability. Because I didn't have money at the time, i couldn't afford the warranty on the computer I purchased. Despite the fact that I didn't have a warranty, the employees at this location recognized the computer was defective and gave me a full refund with very little stress involved. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Seriously Best Buy makes millions of dollars a year and hires the worst employees. I dropped my computer off with the Geek Squad, hoping they can tell me what is wrong with my computer. It was a week before I called them with a follow up and was told nobody looked at my computer yet. I decided to stop in later in the week. The girl who was helping me was rude to another customer after asking him how can she help him. The geek squad told me my computer was completely fried which before I took my computer to them the other problem was it was not connecting to the internet and it only worked being plugged in. The suggested for me to buy a new computer. The irony was just when I got home, I plugged my computed in after I got home it worked fine. Came her to buy a pair of beats headphones. I know why did i buy beats well Ill tell you as I was aware there are better headphones on the market then beats and beats are a little over priced I wont lie. I had to go with what best buy sold though because in my experience they have the best return policy I have ever had to deal with. Over the years I have bought and returned more things from best buy then most other people, however this is not best buy's fault its my horrible luck because it always seems I get a defective piece of merchandise no matter where I seem to go. Even if you don't have your receipt you can bring in your broken merchandise no box and they replace it no questions no problems. For this fact I recommend everyone buy stuff from best buy because they have an amazing return policy honestly I cant say much about the store the employees seemed respectful but, besides that I did not spend enough time in there to get a feel for the store so this is where my review ends. read more

What a horrible experience. HORRIBLE. So I bought a big expensive TV here a few weeks ago... Bought a 2 year warranty to go with it -- asked the sales person for information about having it (and another TV I had already) mounted to the wall and professionally set up. Did some homework and concluded I should go with the BB installers (via their local Geek Squad). Called to set up the appointment, and was told (for the first time) that there was a different package I could have gotten which, for effectively the same price, would include my installs + a upgraded 5 year plan. Was told they couldn't do it over the phone but if I came into the store they would fix it. Left work early to go in that night -- took over an hour in the store just to set this up. They couldn't do the install anytime soon, best they could do was about 2 weeks later. Scheduled the install for a Saturday 8-12 window -- made SUPER clear how critical this was, I could not do time windows like that during the week and it had to be that Saturday as I was not interested in waiting longer or I would go with someone else. "No problem, you're all set." Cut to the appointed Saturday, and no one shows up. At 10:00 I call the store -- they put me on hold 3 separate time (total talk time, 34 minutes), only to be told that they don't know why, but their scheduling system dropped the appointment. OK. So, how can we fix this? Well, they would make a phone call and get back to me. Waiting, waiting... Nothing. 3 calls later, and they are 'still waiting' to see if a tech can come out. Suddenly I get a call from Best Buy corporate -- just an automated call telling me to call them back. Call them back only to be told there is a 17-27 minute wait to talk to someone and I should opt for the auto-call back. Fine. Lady calls me back 20 minutes later and says "what can i do for you today?" At this point I am about to lose my mind. I tell her the story, says she will file a complaint on my behalf. Store calls me back a bit later (note, by now it's AFTER 4;00PM) and says "I'm waiting on the tech to text me back and let me know when he will finish current job, I will call you in 30 minutes". Nope, I call them back, only to be told they don't think they can help me. Offers me an 8:00a.m. to noon window on MONDAY. When I'm at work. Ruined my entire day, and now have to wait at least two more weeks (because I can't get this done during July 4 weekend) to get these TVs mounted. Someone shoot me now... ASSHOLES. F-U, Best Buy! Four days ago I purchased on-line what I believed was a brand new Wii with Just Dance 4. In-store pick-up was simple. The unit and all pieces were wrapped as I would expect a new unit to be. But there was clear evidence that the unit had been previously used, as recently as two months ago. The unit malfunctioned many times, stopping in the middle of dances. We called the store to find out if we could return just the console or if we needed to return everything. As instructed, we repacked everything and went back to the store. At the store, it was recognized that the serial number on the box and the actual unit didn't match. We were told we needed to contact the manufacturer directly. Clearly, I was sold a refurbished unit without my knowledge and now I have a big hassle deal with this defective unit. The store manager was unapologetic, unhelpful and couldn't provide the manufacturer's contact number. She couldn't provide evidence of this policy that precludes returns when the box and unit serial numbers don't match. As a reseller, Best Buy should be an advocate for the customer to Nintendo, not a hapless middle party. read more
