I was a little overwhelmed trying to figure out which laptop would best suit my needs, and Martin took the time to really listen to my questions and concerns. What stood out the most was his patience and thoroughness. He didn't just rush me through the process, but instead broke down all the options, explaining the pros and cons of each one in a way that made everything easy to understand. It was clear he knew his stuff, but he also had a great way of making me feel comfortable, which I really appreciated. When I ran into a tech issue with an item I'd bought previously, Martin didn't hesitate to help me troubleshoot. He was so polite and attentive, making sure I understood the solution every step of the way. It's a clean and nice store. There's just not enough items in stock or they don't sell anything else that customers might need. For example, they don't sell hand sanitizer near the registers or they don't have much of a variety of electronics to choose from. read more

I placed an order 2 weeks before Christmas and you'd think this would be plenty of time to deliver. My order went through with a promised delivery date of 12/21. I noticed the intellectuals at Best Buy shipped the item over 3000 miles away. I'm west coast they shipped from Pennsylvania. Smart. I assumed they knew what they were doing. I noted the delivery day was rescheduled for 12/27. hmm. Xmas is on the 25th. not good. I chatted with a CS person who saw the issue and promised to change the pickup destination. I was hopeful. One month later I decided to buy one more camera- now they are on sale for $29....I paid $59. Showed them my two different receipts and they jumped right on getting me a refund as I was in the 60 day window. This Best Buy has the absolute worst customer service. The worst. You can literally be in the store for 30 plus minutes, and not one employee will ask if you need help. It's honestly not a new thing, but over the past few years, it has got worse. It's horrible. My mother went to get some ink, and not one person asked for help. I have been purchasing items from this particular Best Buy for as long as they have been open at this location. Unfortunately I will no longer be shopping here anymore. Purchased a new 70" TV from them last week and finally got around to installing it today. When I powered it on the entire screen was defective. Took it back to the store and they replaced it without an issue. Got back to my office and proceeded to turn on the new replacement. As soon as the screen came on there was an obvious defective corner on the upper right hand side of the screen, it appeared to be broken again! I couldn't leave work for a second time so I sent my brother back to try for a third time since I needed a monitor right away for my office. My brother called me from the store and said they would not replace the TV again because I somehow caused the damage. I have had numerous flatscreen tv's throughout my life and have never once damaged one, let alone two brand new ones. I spoke with "Ana" who said she was a manger over the phone and she told me there was nothing she could do about it. So I'm out my time, my companies money and a TV I needed for scheduling purposes. read more

By far the worst Best Buy (Geek Squad Section) by far. Made an appt to get my phone battery fixed at 5:20p. Arrived at 5:15p and wasn't acknowledged until I spoke up at 5:30p and wasn't checked in until 5:40p. When the check in rep went back, I was told I couldn't be serviced because the tech was leaving at 6:00p, therefore they couldn't honor my appointment. Spoke with TJ, an Assistant Manager, and he stated that "in a perfect world", had I been checked in AT my appointment time...I would have been serviced, but it wasn't their fault they only had 3 computer technicians / check in personnel and 1 phone technician. Will NOT be going there again. Unacceptable. read more

I just want to recognize Mars, from the Geek Squad, for an outstanding job! We bought a new TV and had no idea had to transfer our Pandora, Netflix, or Prime from the old TV to the new one. She showed up on time, was extremely patient with us old folks, showed us how to use the new remotes, and made certain things were set-up the same way we were used to. Worst Best Buy in the world. I grew up in Minnesota and always shopped at Best Buy to promote a Minnesota company. I have purchased several TVs and other electronic equipment over the years from Best Buy but after my last purchase I will not be returning. I purchased a 65 inch Sony OLED TV and it worked great for the first three weeks. About a month after we bought the TV we started to have problems. I called the so called experts at Geek Squad and after five visits they said they could not repair the TV I was told that even though it was an open box TV if they could not fix the TV they would replace my TV. After 6 months of several long phone calls Best Buy offer me a refund minus several hundred dollars less then what I paid for it. They said because it took so long to remedy the situation they would have to pro rate my refund. Don't go to any Best Buy and never go to the Oxnard Best Buy. My daughter had some bad experiences during her college days with Best Buy and her computer, and while we boycotted them for a few years because of it, we have since returned for some major appliance purchases, and they have done decently by us. We returned recently to buy a cheap pair of headphones and ended up with some amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing Bose Quietcomfort 35 Wireless Headphones (for my birthday). WOW !!! Sure, I could have gotten them anywhere, in any store or online, but I was in this store, and there they were. I sure wasn't in the market for anything special, but for fun, I tried them on and listened, and that was the end of it. They cut out all background noise, the sound is stellar, and I love these headphones. Not that anyone helped us with it while we were in the store, but there they were on display, and the rest is history. So, at a minimum, Best Buy gets 3 stars for having them on display ... and then, having them in stock. read more

We ordered an item for curbside pickup and had a great experience. The item was ready for pickup within an hour, and they ran it out to our car within 2 minutes of marking "arrived" at the store! This site is not taking the pandemic seriously. Customer service not wearing masks, or wearing them around their necks, or not properly covering their nose. Please take extra precautions when visiting this store. The heavyset woman who processed my return got visibly irritated with me when I mentioned her not wearing a mask. She did put it on but acted like I'd asked her to light herself on fire. Sorry my personal safety is an inconvenience to you, but that's the real world. HEADACHE AND NIGHTMARE. DO NOT BUY THE TOTALTECH PLAN. It was sold to me, claiming it would cover water damage. I accidentally spelled water on my keyboard. Turns out the plan doesn't cover it. The plan covers simple things, that I can do myself considering I am not that tech savvy. I am still dealing with trying to get it cancelled and refunded. When I call customer service, I get bounced around from call centers in India, Philippines, and a Latin country. The reps read from a script, they can't resolve the issue. The store manager can't handle it either. Next I am calling corporate. NEVER AGAIN will I shop at Best Buy, customer service is very poor when it comes to resolving issues. They owe me $199.99. So much energy and time wasted. I will try tomorrow again. read more

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the series of delivery issues and unsatisfactory customer service I have experienced during my recent interaction with Best Buy. As a loyal customer, I have always appreciated the high level of service that Best Buy provides, but the events surrounding my recent purchase have left me feeling extremely dissatisfied. I would like to draw your attention to the following issues: 1. Initial Delivery Date and Incorrect Address: When I initially placed my order, I provided a specific delivery address. However, upon receiving a call to confirm the delivery, I was informed that the delivery was going to the wrong address, delaying my delivery days. During the transaction, I confirmed with the sales associate my address and even had to correct it on more than one occasion. 2. When my new delivery date was set, hours before the delivery, I was told the item was not in stock and the delivery could not be made. When I requested a refund on the mounting service as compensation for two failed deliveries, I was denied and told this was impossible. I was however offered a refund of a $99 delivery fee, a fee which I was never charged. I also called the day of the delivery to confirm the delivery and mounting service was happening since I did not receive a call the day before for confirmation. When I called at 8 am on the day of delivery, I was told the delivery was happening and if I did not hear from anyone by noon, to call. It was only 2pm that I finally received a call. When I received a call from the delivery person, I was told the TV was not in stock and was not in stock when I purchased it. Furthermore, when speaking to the customer service person at Geek Squad and trying to come up with a solution, the line was disconnected. I was on a 3-way call with the delivery person and Geek Squad customer service. When I called the delivery person back less than 30 seconds later, the call was not answered. When I finally was able to reconnect with the delivery person via phone, I was told the customer service person was no longer willing to speak to me because I hung up on her, which was not the case. Why would I hang up on the person and then call back 30 seconds later and request to continue the conversation to remedy the situation? 3. When I returned to the Best Buy store after the second failed attempt of my delivery and asked for a comparable model TV and delivery and mounting done within a few days, I was denied. First, I was offered a lesser-model TV and was told this was a comparable TV. The TV I was offered was the TV I was told by Best Buy employees at the initial purchase was a lesser quality TV and it would not meet my needs. Second, I was told for the errors and hassle they would refund me the $99 delivery fee. Again, I was never charged a delivery fee due to the amount of my purchase. 4. When asked what could be done to remedy the errors made by Best Buy and have a TV delivered by the date I needed, I was told nothing could be done. The best that was offered to me after my second trip to the store and over an hour of talking to numerous employees was a delivery date another week out and a refund of my mounting service. Please note, that this was only offered after speaking to the highest manager. I also requested to speak to this manager when I arrived at the store but was told the person was not on duty, then not available and busy, and it was not until speaking to multiple lead supervisors that the manager came out and spoke to me. In summary, your store made critical errors for me to have a TV for my guests. After being unable to deliver I was insulted by being refunded a fee I was never charged and offered an unstuck TV as a comparable model when it was not. When I spoke to Geek Squad, after the call dropped, I was denied speaking to them again and accused of hanging up on the customer service agent. After the accusations, the delivery driver refused to reconnect me "because he had other deliveries to make and was too busy." Ultimately, my purchase ended with a full refund, me not having a TV for the holidays and my guests. Going forward, I will not shop at this Best Buy again and possibly any others, and would encourage others to follow my lead. read more

We paid $1200 for a new TV and were talked into paying an extra $200 for "Total Tech" in case we had any problems. I called them ONE TIME during the first year. It was because Amazon Prime wasn't opening on the Google Play device they also sold me. I talked to 6 people because they kept transferring me to the wrong department. One gal tried helping. After a half hour, she talked me through uninstalling Amazon from Google Play. Unfortunately, she didn't know how to reinstall it so I could log back in. Kept calling and kept being transferred. They offered to send out a technician except the earliest appointment was in 10 days. And, they could only give me a 12 hour window of when they'd arrive. Really? After 2 hours on the phone, being transferred to another few wrong departments, I gave up and gave it one more chance on my own to resolve the problem. I solved it in 2 minutes by myself. 5 stars to me. 1 star to Total Tech and Best Buy. I'm horrible with technology. That's why I paid for Total Tech. Gonna cancel them. If I can solve a technical problem when they can't, something is terribly wrong with their talent, ability, and customer service. read more

Im an oxnard native and I have been going here for as long as I can remember. Although today i had an experience with two employees where I was very upset by but wasn't going to make a scene in the store over. I was looking through the laptops and employees saw i was looking through. They did not ask me hello once nor even greet me. I figured they might be busy and went towards the refrigerators Later on I went to the refrigerators and looking into which one I could purchase later as a reference. As I was going through the aisles, I was not helped once. I continued looking at a specific fridge I saw and wanted to know the price since the price wasn't there. My friend who i was with asked for help and the group of 3 (who were doing nothing but talking mind you) laughed. One of them said "Oh now you have a question" which I thought was EXTREMELY rude. I'm not coming back here and I'm not recommending this place to anyone. I'm gonna strictly buy my items online now. Wholeheartedly I HATE writing bad reviews but you can't be in a customer service job and not provide good customer service. Best Buy is a good place to get lots of stuff and this store seems as clean and well organized as they usually are. My two star rating is for the dead-eyed cashier who rang up my purchase with an uncalled-for air of contempt. There was no unfriendly exchange to prompt this attitude and to be fair he might just have been having a bad day. But I was perfectly cheerful and friendly during the simple transaction of paying for an iPhone charger, and was unceremoniously greeted with that go f yourself for being yourself attitude that can just put a cloud of cynicism over your day -- if you let it. iPhone was 2 yrs old n the battery had to be charged at least 3 times a day. The geek squad had the battery in stock, and was able to get me in fairly quickly on 11/22/2022. PROBLEM is within a month the battery was drained, and had to be recharged before noon. Only 3 mos + 1 day after the replacement the battery was exploding out of my phone, and pushed the glass front away from the frame. I don't know what kind of cheap crap they put in my phone, but I should not have to replace the battery every three months. read more

In this day and age, most of us shop online. However, there are times when you need something right now, this minute. When this occurs, I do not hesitate to visit the Best Buy in Oxnard. They have plenty of parking and the store is alway well kept and organized. It's nice being able to check to see if something is in stock in their app or to order for in-store pickup. We were very disappointed with the incomplete computer set up and overall customer care and service that we received from Apple! This year we decided to buy my new Mac from Best Buy in Oxnard and have their Geek Squad technician set it up in our home. Sherri and I are VERY PLEASED with the service we received in regards to our purchase and the outstanding set up and service that we received from our Geek Squad technician Tim. We decided to hire the Geek Squad to come to our home and help my wife get the set up and service that she had HOPED to get from Apple two years ago! Tim once again took outstanding care of us and my wife now has her Mac computer that with Tim's help and expertise she can now use to her full advantage and that she understands! We are VERY SATISFIED with Best Buy and the Geek Squad's in home set up and service and the outstanding work and customer service that we received from our in own Geek Squad technician Tim!
