Stopped here to replace my Kindle, which died en route to vacation. No Best Buy employees helped me - an outside vendor helped me locate the product and then showed me where all of the accessories were. The Kindle I wanted was marked one price, and when I got to the register, it rang up at a much higher price. I pointed this out to the cashier, who walked over where I showed her the price. Jeff, the manager walked over, said that it was the higher price regardless of what the sign said. When I pointed out that all the signs said the same thing, he said it didn't matter. I put the Kindle down, walked down to Office Max, where the very kind Derec helped me as soon as I walked in. I paid the correct (lower) price for the exact same product. read more

Went online today to look for Fuji instamax film. The Best Buy nearest my house in Pearland only had one in stock. It showed the location in Pasadena had two in stock as that is what I needed. I have two kids getting two cameras so I needed two packs. This was at 3 pm today and I clicked on two and paid online. I received an email stating order was received but an additional email would be sent when item was ready for store pick up. 4 pm came and went, 5pm came around and we started calling the store as we had not received the email and store was closing at 6. We called over and over but no answer. I didn't want to waste my time and gas if they didn't have two packs. Finally, my wife and I went to Pasadena and arrived at 6:10 pm. Doors were already closed on the entrance side and a long haired guy was at the exit door, said they were closed and he had no employees left to check people out. Thankfully we had printed out the confirmation and showed it to him. He got on his radio and had someone get the items. There was another guy that showed up after us and he had the same issue. Long story short we wait and wait and finally a guy comes up with one pack. Tells us they can't find another one. Keep in mind we already ordered and paid for two. Ian then just kind of stands there and stares at us. The girl behind the register is oblivious as to why we are upset. Ian then tells us they were busy all day. I then stated that is not my issue we bought and paid for two packages not one. I told the girl behind the register to refund the second pack of film and she cancelled both. I could have gone to the Best Buy in Pearland for just one. My question is why did the system let me buy two packs when they only had one? Why couldn't anyone answer the phone? Why couldn't someone fulfill my order. If they didn't have people to pick orders why did it allow me to order online? Wasted my time driving all the way to Pasadena and dealing with these people. I am an elite plus member and I feel I have given them plenty of my money and should receive better service. read more

One of the worst cases of neglect & poor service I have ever experienced. Bought a new remote ($300) along with geek squad support in January. Geeks came out and informed me my TV was too old to work properly with this hi-tech remote. Had the geeks out here once more to try to fix before I had to wait 3 months for someone to come into the home to program because of covid. This geek said the same thing that my TV was too old. SOOO I bought a new sony 49 inch TV and paid 149 for it to be put up and remote programmed AGAIN. No more than 1 week it was not working again, called store and wanted a refund for this remote which I was oversold. Manager at Pasadena store said because it was more then 10 mos old (remember covid was here for 6 of those months) I can not get a refund but they will come out and reprogram AGAIN. REALLY! I work retail myself, and outright lying to your customers is definitely not the way to conduct business. One year and some months ago, I bought a sprint smartphone there, and I purchased a plan then called "best buy buy back" that allowed you to sell the phone back to them for a pretty good amount of money depending on how long you had t he phone. if you had 12 to 18 months, for example, you get like 210 dollars back. Of course it sounded too good to be true, so my first question was "does the condition of the device matter?" and they said "no, even if the device no longer works it will not affect the amount" They proceeded to explain that is what sets the buy back program apart from simply trading it in. So i jumped on the deal. Fast forward to the October 4th, I am interested in the new Samsung Note 3 and I go in expecting 210 dollars out of my old phone. They said "your phone has more than 5 small imperfections, therefore the amount will drop from 210 to 105" and I proceeded to explain why the only reason I had purchased their buyback plan was because they had assured me just the opposite, that the condition did not matter. A manager was called forth and he said he "had no way to override any amount even if he wanted to" and that he apologized for the inconvenience. I only proceeded to buy the phone anyway because I had gift cards to use up. So I let it go. Fast forward to today. On October 4th, I in fact bought TWO galaxy Note 3s from best buy (one for the wife and for myself) at $350 dollars each with 2 year contract. Upon some unintentional stumble across some forums, I figured out Sprint was selling the device for $250 instead of $350. I proceeded to print all relevant proof to go and do a price match, and halfway through it the manager stops the whole thing and says "no, we cannot do this because price matches have to be done on the day of purchase" I proceed to tell him how I had specifically asked at the time of purchase whether I could price match within the 15 day return policy, and I was told yes. I told him it even says in your policy you guys honor price matches as long as it is within 15 days of purchase. He said "No, that only applies to our own prices, not competitor prices" Needless to say, the manager was insensitive, indifferet, callous, borderline rude and did not even once attempt to apologize for the inconvenience. As a matter of fact when he figured I had nothing else to say he simply walked off without saying a word. As I explained before, I work retail, and I happen to be very good at it. This assholes have no idea what customer service is about and take pride and joy in lying to their customer over and over again. Please do not feed any more money to them. They deserve to go bankrupt. read more

The service was horrible, I asked for help and they told me to wait a little bit for someone with the key I said okay. 20 minutes later I have still yet to be helped until a manager that was passing right in front of me and just watching me the entire 20 minutes decided to finally help me and just got the phone in two seconds, I don't understand how I had to wait 20 minutes for a item that took less than 5 seconds to get. To make matters worse she didn't allow me to even see the details on the back or even hold the phone, she just took it to the front, I just brought the phone just to finally leave this f*****' place. read more

Bought gas dryer - had to beg for customer assistance. They delivered electric dryer instead of gas and had to return it (delivery guys left pedestal). Got gas dryer today, but they couldn't connect it to the pedestal due to parts missing. Called store and told them that I just wanted my money back - have to wait 3 more days for them to come and pick it up and then 3 -5 days for them to credit my card. Also, delivery men took my working dryer, and Best Buy says they won't return my working dryer - so in the end I am out a dryer I had when I walked into Best Buy. Got the same answers from the store as well as the corporate office - "We can't do anything about it". read more

I should have read the reviews. I was trying to get a price match done and the manager Dee is very rude. First we had to wait before we even had someone assist us. Then the gentleman contact her about the price match and she seemed bother that we asked to speak to a manager. She then stated there wasn't anything she can do and when I was explaining to her about the price match she started bobbing her head and hands at me telling me dont yell at me. I told her first of all your not going to get an attitude with me or point your hands at me. It's obvious she had no customer skills. I then asked for store manager and she bluntly lied and said I am. I then told her your tag says assistant. She was bother and rather turn customer away then do her job. But reading prior comment this Dee manager hasn't been trained or held accountable for not providing customer service. She needs an attitude adjustment and retrained. When I asked for store managers name she was trying to give me customers care number and then when asked for area manager name she gave me his name and store number. She doesn't know how to treat customer and company hasn't address it. Visit other locations. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I needed a new smart phone, my old phone was 3 years old and could not do much. I'm a teacher, so I have to stay up with the technology. I visited the Best Buy in Pasadena and getting as new phone was pretty easy and painless. The phone tech named Brandi answered all my many questions courteously. She set up all my data from my old to my new phone, and also set up my billing so it will be paid automatically from my credit card. Now I have a new phone just the way I want it, thanks Best Buy. read more

I came to this Best Buy to add a line to my ATT account. The lady helping was apparently new and Instead she added a new line to my plan. First of all we were there about 1 hour and half because the waiting time and the time it took her to help us. Once I got home I realized Elisha had given us a brand new line. Came back to speak to a different person (apparently the manager) she canceled the the line and added a line to my account. She never even apologize but assured me it was all corrected. 2 weeks later I get a billed from ATT for $40. Went to the store a 3rd time and this time Mario helped me. He was a nice guy but on the phone he doesn't even know what to tell the ATT rep. The ATT rep put him on hold and he accidentally hung up on the phone. The main problem is the lack of training these employees are receiving. If the person doesn't have the proper training don't put them on the floor to assist customers. It took 3 trips to the store and around 4 hours to correct a mistake an employee made and not one person apologized or acknowledged they made an error. Poor customer service! read more

45minutes! 6-9 employees walked by me and a few made eye contact with me. And no one greeted me, asked me if I need assistance or checked on me. I was looking to buy a pretty expensive camera. Nikon D750 or D7500. But I spent most of my time looking for other places that have either of those cameras. Once I had to drag an employee over to the cameras they said they don't price match. Bought three external chargers online and picked them up here in person... Got them for Christmas and did not want one. I went in to the store and showed them the eBay order, the PayPal transaction, and tried to look at the order via my sisters information who picked it up and there is no record of it and they will not accept the return (or even give store credit). We bought a washer and dryer, and the "WEAK SQUAD" came out to install it. The guy who did the 220V electrical plug left the connector wires exposed. Generally when you put an electrical plug you're supposed to use an electrical connector so it wouldn't come loose. Poor job of installation. I will call them and tell them what a poor installation their "WEAK SQUAD" did. read more

I had bought some studio wireless beats headphones(379.99) and got the protection plan(49.99) for two years. 10 months and where you fold them it broke on one side. I use them atleast 4 days a week for gym so they have been nothing but good. I went to the Pasadena best buy since it was by my job to get them fixed. I didn't care for trading them in or anything I waited in line to be told that the plan doesn't cover that. The girl at the front asked some other girl since she wasn't sure and the other girl said yea it doesn't cover that. She said only if sound isn't working or ear peace tears. This was from normal wear and tear I take good care of them. What I ended up doing was calling bestbuy from the website number I got transferred to heal squad and he says he doesn't know why they said that he can't over ride anything but he says they should replace. He tried calling the store to talk to them but he said it took way to long and no one answered. His suggestion was I could go back get my money for my protection plan but not to do it just yet. Go to the best buy I bought them at if not try another one. Sure enough at the one I went by 45n just before hitting beltway 8 they looked at them and said I can get another pair but they are out won't be in until 2 weeks. Or I can get any other and whatever is left I can get store credit. I ended up getting my store credit and 35 out of 50 from protection plan since it was almost a year I had them. I only got it out to order the ones I wanted from online. I had no problem at that best buy whatsoever. Right away he told me yea go to customer service and they will replace them. I just wanna say thanks to the guy that I talked on the phone. He tried to reach the Pasadena, Fairmont location to talk to them. He gave me advice and talked to me. I almost was gonna give up and say ok I une'er stand since I don't get mad easily and though well yea the electronic part they fixed I just didn't know. They should have more knowledge and not refuse a return what if I got the 35 and I'm out of 420.00. Maybe if I got heated and requested manager but I don't think you need to make a scene they should have more knowledge Instead of asking around and guessing. read more

On 9/05/2015 I purchased a Samsung dryer DV42H5200GW and a Samsung washer WF42H5200AW. It took the sales associate, Richard H over an hour to ring up my purchase. There was no one in front of me. He said it was a computer glitch. The other sales associate was not having any issues. I gave Richard my phone number to get my reward points. I told him I wanted the washer and dryer to be purchased under my name. He put the purchase under my husband's name. He said I could call 1-888-bestbuy; and they would change the name. I called and they said they would have to speak with my husband. I even tried to get them to correct the spelling of his name. They would not do this unless they spoke with my husband. On 09/15/2015 Best Buy delivered the wrong dryer. I called a few minutes after the delivery person left. I talked to Dan in customer service at 1-855-527-2408 extension 63783. He said I would have to reschedule. They could not deliver the correct dryer on 09/15/2015. I rescheduled for 9/26/2015. On 9/26/2015 they came to pick up the wrong dryer. They didn't bring the correct dryer. I was told by customer service that Best Buy scheduled two different companies to pick up the wrong dryer and didn't schedule anyone to bring the correct dryer. Best Buy said I would have to reschedule for another day. I rescheduled for 10/24/2015. I called and confirmed my delivery. They even called me and left me a voice mail. On 10/24/2015 they cancelled my delivery and didn't even call me to let me know. I rescheduled for 11/03/2015. On 11/03/2015 Best Buy delivered a dryer that would not work. I spoke with Dan again in customer service. I was told again that I would have to wait till the defective dryer was returned in the system before I could reschedule my new delivery date. I spoke with Dan at 3:59 pm central time on 11/04/2015 he said I still could not reschedule my new delivery date yet. He would call me when he could reschedule my delivery. This is the worst service that I have ever received. I'm still waiting on my dryer. read more

I have gotten the worst customer service ever from best buy. I bought a laptop that was advertised in their black Friday ad. Unfortunately the Fairmont Parkway location in Pasadena Texas did not have the laptop in stock but they did have an open box laptop that they could sell me in its place. I was told that the laptop was certified by their geek squad and that if I had any problems with it I could return/exchange at ease. That was the biggest bull crap! One week after my purchase I took my laptop in to the nearest geek squad which is at a Best Buy on east Sam Houston pkwy, there I paid for the extended warranty so they could tell me what is wrong with my laptop. Apparently, the screen is defective so it has to be replaced. Well they didn't have a replacement computer in stock so they sent me to a location 45 minutes away in Sharpstown that does have it in stock. They assured me they would exchange it, but they did not. They claimed that for me to get an exchange I would have to pay the difference because the black Friday deal was over. I called back to the Sam Houston Pkwy location asking them why they assured something that apparently couldn't be done. They had no idea but they did say that I was "barking up the wrong tree" and that I needed to complain to the location I bought it from. So I did. The manager at that location said, "I am the manager. I have the authority to do an override but I am not going to do that". In other words I can help you but I don't want to so tough luck! I then proceeded to call 1888BestBuy (that's the number Sammy "Mr. I don't want to help you" gave me) he claimed that was their corporate and I could talk to them. Well they hung up on me once, said they would call me back the second time because of a bad connection, and transferred me to Microsoft the third time. At this point I am wondering if Best Buy requires them to not help their customers. Regardless I am never shopping here again and if you're looking for an honest company to shop from I would suggest you take your hard earned cash elsewhere. read more
