Came in a week ago to pick out a bracelet to start my charm bracelet journey. I was immediately greeted by Sandra. She was soooo nice and helpful. She helped me pick out and narrow down my choices. When I got to the counter Grace was so patient with me as I tried to decide on my final two. She had me place where I wanted my charms and was just overall pleasant. Overall I had a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Also had a 24 pick up time... When I arrived to pickup I was greeted upon entry again and Margarita helped me. She took a couple of links out and we discussed my next charms. She was very open about her life and it just made me feel at ease about my choice of charms and my next charms. I was in the Pearland location last Sunday with a friend. Can someone please explain why one of the employees was dressed as if she just rolled out of bed (Sweat pants & Sweat shirt). This was shocking to me for James Avery to allow such. Most locations that I have visited the employees are well groomed and dressed. This James Avery location is in the Pearland Town Center which is not known for good parking options. Depending on the time and day of the week the lines can be long. The staff is nice, patient, and knowledgeable. I also like that all the employees wear the jewlery. It's always exciting when the new charms come out. I love that it is a Texas based company that focuses on the family unit with a religious foundation. The company is probably known more for the variety of charms, but they also make all forms of jewlery for everyone in the family. It is fun to collect the various charms. The charms are expensive, but they are high quality. It's nice to be able to tell your story with various charms. You can have certain charms engraved and honor loved ones that have passed or new little additions to your family. It also sparkes conversation when you see others with charms and jewlery from James Avery. So if you have been debating on starting your charm collection like I did for years just take that step. I don't think I have ever written a review about bare minimum customer service until now. I walked in the store about 7:05pm (store closes at 8pm) to only exchange a necklace. I walked past an employee cleaning the glass showcases. No greeting. I'm the ONLY customer in the store. I start browsing the showcases for two particular necklaces. After looking through 4 cases, I finally hear a "Let us know, if you need any assistance". Me "Matter of fact, yes" and proceed to ask for the necklaces I was looking for. After a very dry, dull exchange, I presented with my necklaces backwards and tangled in the wooden case. It's totally quiet. I ask for a mirror and it was a surprise that I wanted to try them. Again, dull, dry exchange. I finally decide. The rep proceeds to put the unfastened necklace in the felt case. I stopped her and told I would fasten it so it would not get tangled. She never asked if there was anything else I needed. I proceeded to leave and she stated "Come see us again". After this experience, I thought to myself why???? I have been customer of James Avery since I was a little girl (15+years) and I have never had this type of experience. Truly disappointed read more

Six employees. Not one even made a minor attempt to help us. One other set of customers in the store (a mother and young daughter), which occupied one employees time. First visit was during holiday season I expected it to be busy so I ordered online. Upon arriving at the store I was the only person in the pick up line and was literally in line for 10mins before anyone acknowledged me being there. Once a representative came to assist me they were kind of pleasant, but not really friendly. Second visit was because my daughters bracelet didn't fit. The have two areas designated for pick up and at least a half dozen designated for purchases but None for drop offs. There wasn't anyone helping the floor when I went in and to avoid the line I went over to ask on of the empty pick up line for help. Kelly told me that they couldn't help me and I would have to get in line for purchases. If the sign would have said that I would have got in line initially and been ahead of the 4 ppl that walking in behind me. The things they could improve on in my opinion are as follows: *Customer service, in regards to friendliness and general helpfulness. (The only ppl in the store that get attention are those making purchases.) *Clear signs designating what each line is for besides "pick-up". *Also a drop off line would be nice. If I'm coming in just to get my bracelet cleaned there is no reason I should have to stand in line with the 15 people that are making purchases. read more

After being in the store for a minute cause it's Christmas Eve , I got my mother a bracelet with a charm. The store close at 6 . It was 6:30 when I walked out. The employee didn't even ask if i wanted my charm out on. My first time getting the bracelet and charm duo. I came back not even 2 minutes because i wanted to know if they can put my charm on, the "manager" said no she wasn't letting no one back in after that leave because of policy. I said but you know it's Christmas Eve you can't make an exception and put the charm on the bracelet she said "no we would have to cut the machine on and It would be ready after 7:00 tonight" i said Okay I'll wait until it's done it's only 6:30. She said but it's going to take hours so it'll be ready Saturday at 11am. Why isn't the machine already on and ready to put bracelets and charms together in the first place. That's lazy as a business and your employees didn't even ask if you want your things put on. It's Christmas Eve you should be prepared to do stuff like this. Will never do business with James Avery. I walked into the store looking for a pair of rings. I looked around and found a style I was interested in. An older woman came by and asked if she could help - I asked to see the ring I liked and asked the price - it was decently price, so I asked if it would be possible to get 2 of them in sizes 10 and 12 and how long it would take. She stared at me and asked "What do you want to do with 2 rings?" and I said "Well - I'm hoping to BUY 2 rings" in a friendly tone and she just STARED me down! After an awkward silence, I said "Well, this would be a purchase for me and my partner." She didn't say anything to me, turned away and grabbed a catalog and a slip of paper. She double checked the item number, wrote it on the slip and handed it to me. She stonily said, "You should go do this somewhere else. This is the item number, I'm sure another store will help you." Bewildered I took the slip and walked out - she came from behind the counter and followed me out the door! I get that Christian Values/Principles underlie the store and the jewelry they sell, but (gasp) so does our relationship! I wasn't asking her to bless me - or even flaunting my sexual preferences in front of her,(pretty sure I was wearing jeans, a blue t-shirt and a brown hoodie... I left the pink feather boa in the car...) but she was hell bent to determine me a homo (see what I did there?) and not help me. Don't want to sell to a certain type of person? I went into the store on 10/10/17 and after patiently waiting in line I get help from a mean sales associate by the name of KAY!!! I was just trying to return, and Item I just bought online and had my pick up receipt with me that the store gave me when I picked up my item. All I wanted to do was return it and purchase the item back with my gift card I had received. That's all I wanted to do!!! I waited it line if she was getting off of work at that time I am not sure why she even bothered to help me if she was going to have a horrible attitude!!! She let me know she was suppose to be getting off she let everyone there know it. And she said she could not return my item cause it had no way of knowing how I paid for it!!! Remind you this receipt I have is what they gave me when I picked up my item I ordered online!!!! Never had I have this problem in such a Christian Like store (so they say) but they employee not so Christian Like employees. If you hate your job so much why work there!!! Do lie about you can not return just hand me over to some one who likes their job, and is willing to help someone who spends quite a bit of money there. I will not ever go there as long as she is working there!! Either she is just a rude person or she is racist! The way she was acting I would have to say both!!!! And then the main office said they would have the manager call me and here it is day 2 and no phone call!!!! What a joke and good customer service. By reading these reviews it seems as if this same Rude lady name KAY has been rude to others that are not her race!!!! I was hired as a Seasonal Employee, I was very excited! Managers were horrible! At orientation, they did explain policies but we were not trained! I was very excited to work there. I worked 3 weeks. The time keepers/ management messed up om my pay check and still to this day I have not been paid! I was asked, if I was sure that I didn't see an enter office envelope that had my name and took it! I would never had done that! I had to call corporate to get one reissued, will take 10 to 12 days! Thank God, I was not depending on the money for bills! To go on further, I had problems with the computer and a gift card. I had to go to another register to finish the transaction. The customer had about 9 items she was doing different things with such as polishing, soldering charms, ect. One of the managers spoke to me very rude in front of the customer! The customer was so surprised of how unprofessional management was acting. Mrs Brown even made a comment to me about the issue! Upon finishing with the same customer the other manager started to repremand me for taking to long with the same customer in front of other employees! I was so angry and disappointed on the way these managers at The Pearland store acted! Very disappointed, will never work or shop a JamesAvery AGAIN! This is supposed to be a "Christian Based Business". The management may need to take some classes on how they should treat employees and maybe go to a christian type seminars!
