Best Buy has been a great store for appliances, computers and accessories as well as entertainment systems eg TVs Audio etc. I've never used the geek squad because I personally never needed them. I've helped many family members and friends over the years with Their technical issues. So I get it that folks need the service but I personally can't comment on it. I see Best But as a brick and mortar service that probably will wither away as many others. I only go there for an immediate technical item that is low cost and needed today. Like a cable connector of sorts. Because Amazon or others can supply the products within days and usually at lower prices. For appliances they maybe have a future but even those are available at big box home improvement stores. As an older guy I remember the local furniture / appliance store that went under yielding to the improved marketing strangely of Best Buy and other national chains. And today these guys are now threatened. I recommend people to be smart and shop appropriately. You'll be ok.

Max and Shannon pulled through for me after a complete disaster when another employee fumbled REALLY bad! Thank you! I had completely lost all faith in Best Buy. However, these two employees changed my opinion of at least this store.

All I was asking for was names of vendors in which they orders parts from. The gray haired woman sitting at the front desk told me "there is nothing they can help me with since these subcontractors are just names on her list & she knows nothing about them." Really? So, you just give out random names (with no last names) without knowing their reputations. The lady then said, "My Mondays are busy I can't help you" and she turned her back on me. Horrible customer service, they don't give a sh*t for their customers & they were extremely rude! Don't bother giving them your business...they're way overpriced too!

The Issue: My smart phone was accidentally thrown into Talk Back mode when my basset hound puppy, unhappy because his sister had grabbed the prime real estate area on the bed which is snuggled into my side, stomped on my chest with the full force of all his 32 pounds centered into one paw. This caused a seismic event on the bed and by the time the shaking was over, my phone was stuck in Talk Back mode. After spending at least two hours trying everything suggested from Google, You Tube and Reddit to fix the problem, I became despondent. As I am not very diligent at backing up important data, I was worried I would never see my contacts, photos and text messages again. The Hero: 1. Ethan convinced me to bring the phone in. 2. He got it working and back to normal within approximately 15 seconds. 3. He saved my professional life since I depend on my phone daily for all professional contacts. 4. He refused to charge me for the service. The Verdict: Nerdy Neighbor is my go-to for all my electronic repair needs. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, expertise and heroic tech repair service!

The first time they replaced the battery and it was about $270 and when my computer wasn't fixed I brought it back in and they replaced the charging ports, this was $98 because they only charged me for the new ports. Up to this point I was satisfied and felt that the service was good. Then I got my computer back again and it still wasn't fixed. I am out almost $400, I am skipping grocery trips to be able to afford this and I have missed countless assignments bringing it into the shop. I called to ask for a refund and they refused to refund the work- the majority of the price and said they would refund the parts but only if they stripped the parts from my computer so I am then out hundreds of dollars and I would have a completely un-usable computer. They would have the parts back to use in another computer and still were paid for their work. 100% a massive waste of time and money and now I can hardly afford to get it fixed elsewhere.
