I don't shop much at Best Buy but this location is overall good. I just bought my kindle case today and the service was overall good. The staff are nice and the value of what you pay for overall is good. The selection of stuff to choose from is limited though depending what is still in stock, but it's still overall good especially when stuff is on sale. Dropped my laptop off at the geek squad to be scanned for a virus but forgot to ask when it would be ready. Its two days later and I called the store to find out. A computer answered and said they would text me a link that would answer my question (it didn't), so I called their 800# and actually spoke to a human who told me the only way I could get my question answered was to drive to the store and talk with someone. NO, she would not give me their phone number, nor would give me their email address. So, this high tech company won't use any of that technology to provide customer service. To make matters worse, when I dropped it off, they asked me what was wrong, and they quoted a prive to fix it, then pulled out a cardboard display and aggressively started upselling me a membership. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service we experienced at this location. The individual who appeared to be the manager ( Theresa )shockingly rude and unprofessional throughout the entire interaction. Instead of helping resolve the issue, she raised her voice, spoke to us disrespectfully, and created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. What's even more frustrating is that her behavior directly resulted in the store losing $34,we just purchased phone protector last week and got damaged and it supposed to be life warranty but she wanted us to pay 8 dollars for installation saying that things are changed, how soon within a week!!! saying that the damage is because we dropped the phone Not because the first installment was not correct! and guess what , who ever installed this new one he didn't know how to do it that he had to grab another protector!!!! which could have easily been avoided with basic professionalism and courtesy. I was very frustrated with both my Windows 11 PC and my Samsung A35 android phone. I called Best Buy in Prescott, AZ, around 5:00pm on January 3, 2026, with the hope that I might get it repaired. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly and efficiently Agent Bridges was able to immediately fix all my concerns and get me back online again on both my PC and Cellphone. This company does not have good customer service. The worst.... You can't call the store and so you get someone in Panama, they booked my data transfer and told me it would take an hour ... So I drove an hour to get to the store... I bought 2 laptops from them, only needing data transfer for 1. I wait and wait and then I'm told that I have to leave my computer with them for 3 days!!!! I absolutely cannot leave it with them for 3 days. Apparently there isn't even a corporate office you can call to let them know how screwed up their way of handling customers is. Best Buy has been a great store for appliances, computers and accessories as well as entertainment systems eg TVs Audio etc. I've never used the geek squad because I personally never needed them. I've helped many family members and friends over the years with Their technical issues. So I get it that folks need the service but I personally can't comment on it. I see Best But as a brick and mortar service that probably will wither away as many others. I only go there for an immediate technical item that is low cost and needed today. Like a cable connector of sorts. Because Amazon or others can supply the products within days and usually at lower prices. For appliances they maybe have a future but even those are available at big box home improvement stores. As an older guy I remember the local furniture / appliance store that went under yielding to the improved marketing strangely of Best Buy and other national chains. And today these guys are now threatened. I recommend people to be smart and shop appropriately. You'll be ok. read more

Well we finally ordered online another 2 new 42 inch TV's for our computers. And it just so happened to be on Black Friday! But because we ordered and paid online, it was no trouble at all. The store was packed for sure, I mean, they had every cash register open, tons of workers on the floor and so many awesome deals! You're better off installing yourself! This review is specific to Geek Squad out of Prescott Best Buy. The Duo of misfits I got at my place was the most incompetent I've had the displeasure of dealing with. How to summarize: They closed the service ticket as complete before checking to see if dishwasher was working, it was not. They were going to leave without checking it was working. When questioned about that, they said they did everything and it should be working so it could be a defective washer. When asked to check the junction box to the connector cable, they said they did and it was properly connected. So I asked them to take the dishwasher back with them if it was defective and they said they could not as they had closed the ticket. They left a mess of water and debris in the kitchen floor, and rushed out of there. A week later I pulled the dishwasher out and confirmed that they had not properly connected the wires to the junction box, the black wire was loose, or properly attached the junction box to the back of the cabinet or used all screws on the junction box and the drain hose was kinked and they did not clean any of the mess they left when cutting some wood to route the drain hose through. The dishwasher was not defective and they LIED about having checked the connection as it was clear it was not connected properly. So, basically incompetent liars. read more

Note: This is not about the local store but about the company. Just had $650 ripped off by Best Buy. Bought a Starlink system online from them. Delivered to the wrong address. After 6 hours with customer service during 12 calls, they promised 3 different times to resend it, then would cancel the shipment. THREE TIMES I waited for the shipment and it would be cancelled on the day it was supposed to be delivered with no reason given. After the third time, and three weeks after the initial botched delivery they said they "had completed their investigation" and would not refund money nor send me the item because they feel it was the shipping company's problem and I should contact law enforcement. We came in for a washer/dryer and a new TV. We were greeted promptly by a clerk and shown first the TV's and then the W/D's. One thing (of many) I appreciate about our experience was none of the sales people we dealt with tried to talk us in to anything we weren't there to buy. They were honest and showed us the items we were interested in. They were nice and personable and seemed truly interested in our needs. Now on to the Geek Squad. What a professional group of guys! We had our TV installed first and then the W/D came a week later. Special shoutout to Brian, Schyler and Jordan. These guys are amazing. They kept us up to date one their arrival time, were friendly, efficient and conscientious. They even told us to call and ask for them if we had any issues. Brought my laptop in to upgrade the SSD, they suggested I get a full tech coverage since it costs about the same as the upgrade would cost ($200). They told me it would take three days. 2 hours later they called and said they couldn't do the repair because the screw on the SSD was stripped (which is idiotic because 1. That's something you should be able to take care of if your providing hardware services and 2. It may have been stripped, but I was easily able to get it off myself.). Unfortunately they called me back AFTER they were closed, so I had to wait until the next day to actually pick up my computer. Once I got my computer back I brought my computer to a small shop called PC Simplicity in PV and they upgraded my SSD in the same day for only $120. Best Buy's services are a joke. read more

This place is my go-to local place for electronics. They have a decent inventory, and I can pick it up the same day. Most importantly, when I get something here, I know that it isn't trash--unlike some of the big, generic fast-shipping online outfits that have thousands of purchased reviews for items that turn out to be junk. In fact, they're a reliable online outfit too. I've gotten excellent advice on earbuds, speakers, cables, and so on. The staff have always been happy to help and well-informed. They know what's in the store and where it is. They gave me particularly good advice on a big monitor. I use it for coding and photography and am really glad to have a top-quality one. So, any drawbacks? They don't always have what I need: such as the right travel adapters for my trip, or the right extension cable for my phone jack. The store is kinda beat-up. It could use some new shelving, new carpeting, and so on. But, it's nice to have this place in my town. read more

The poor attempt to deal with this covid-19 situation is creating terrible customer service from this bestbuy. Took an item in for a return. I specifically asked the guy that came to my car (who got too close btw) to have it refunded to a GIFT CARD, since it was an online order I wrote down my order number in a piece of paper and right UNDERNEATH that order # I also wrote "please refund it to a giftcard, thank you". The same guy who took my item away comes back and give me the receipt and says it was put back on the credit card as if I had not asked him specifically to do a return to gifcard. When I pointed out the mistake, he said "oh". So I asked him to have it voided and he went inside to ask someone to try. Another employee comes out and says it was all his fault, that they tried to void is but couldn't and that I shouldn't blame the first guy, who obviously did not tell this guy that I asked for a giftcard. This new guy said he didn't see my note, but that he could have refunded it to a giftcard had he seen it (good for you, how does that help me) and that he's too busy when I mentioned that I wrote it in the note. So, he couldn't read one additional line of text right under the order number? I left and called the store to speak to a manager, after 12 minutes of them letting them phone ring I guess they realized I wasn't going to hang up and they finally answered and I got transferred to a manager. This manager Trevor or something like that immediately cuts me off when I was explaining what happened and says he was involved in the attempt to cancel the refund but they couldn't stop it. Then he proceeds to tell me it doesn't matter because online orders cannot be refunded to a giftcard... I called him on his BS because I did that same thing once before at this same location with another online order and it went through without an issue. Then he switches tones and gives me a lie about people taking advantage of the "corona" situation to commit fraud and due to that, they cannot refund to a gifcard... Questions to that: 1) if you couldn't refund to a giftcard then why did you attempt to void the refund? 2) why did your employee tell me he could have refunded it to a gc, he he been smart enough to read two lines of text instead of one. 3) if you really could not process my request, why did one of you not walk back out to my card to inform me of this and give me the option of keeping the item and waiting until they could or if I was okay with a refund to the original credit card (which is closed and now I will have to wait 2 months to get that check)? Terrible customer service. I usually try to support best buy by shopping here, but going forward I will do what 95% of people do and go into the store, try the items I want to buy and buy them on Amazon or Target who price matches best buy. read more

I was in the market to upgrade my iPhone and I really didn't feel comfortable with having it shipped to me or driving all the way to Phoenix in order to get one. I checked my local best buy and they had the phone I wanted in stock! I came in person and I was helped right away by a kind gentleman. Shortly thereafter, I was helped by the assistant manager of the store. She was super duper kind and super helpful. She was training a new associate at the time but at no point in time did I feel like I wasn't getting the attention as a customer or felt that there was a delay in the process. She helped me set up my phone and everything which was great. I had the best experience here and would not have a problem coming back here to address my needs or have questions. I would rate the service as good. Greeted at the door, directed to a sales person. Knowledgeable on products as well. Where I have to give a less than excellent experience rating is in their delivery and install area. Delivery people were quick to find a reason to drop our appliances and take off. We heard "That outlet is the wrong one for your range" it was not, the outlet was fine - then it was " that plug for the hood needs moved" this was true. So good on them for recognizing. We had a 2 hr window for these installs and they were gone in a half hr. Perhaps they were late to the next delivery..? Not sure but service from delivery people attached to the Prescott store was way less professional than what we expected given the excellent in store service we received from the sales manager. Now I have to mention we did have an install experience from a Best buy team from the Flagstaff location (washer/dryer) and these guys were AMAZING! They installed then took the time to explain how the units worked covering many of the features. They left us feeling confident we had made a good decision. read more
