My washer machine has a locking lid (it's a Speed Queen) and I purchased it because nothing is made like my old Kemore washer of 20 plus years. Here I thought I had a warranty with the people I purchased the machine from in Phoenix and they had fixed it once before at the very beginning. When I called I found out that they farm these warranties out to local businesses (the first time they came from Phoenix), but not anymore. I had to choose between three businesses. I knew the previous owner of the Maytag store in Prescott, AZ, but I didn't know the current owner, so I took a chance. I based my Choice on the reviews from Yelp. I was having problems with a appliance subcontractor in which Quality Maytag had given me their name & number to contact for service. When I went to Quality Maytag to possibly get some help...they could have cared less!! The owner basically told me it was "my problem" and just walked away to hide in the back room. All I was asking for was names of vendors in which they orders parts from. The gray haired woman sitting at the front desk told me "there is nothing they can help me with since these subcontractors are just names on her list & she knows nothing about them." Really? So, you just give out random names (with no last names) without knowing their reputations. The lady then said, "My Mondays are busy I can't help you" and she turned her back on me. Horrible customer service, they don't give a sh*t for their customers & they were extremely rude! Don't bother giving them your business...they're way overpriced too! read more

When the manufacturers warranties expired on our new in 2018 appliances I purchased extended warranties from Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid. After receiving an email from Whirlpool on Monday stating that a service tech from Quality Maytag would be at my home between 8-4pm on Wed I received a call later in the day from Quality Maytag stating that due to staffing issues they would not be doing warranty work anymore. Luckily it was a dishwasher that failed and not something important. Pretty sad I feel that I received no prior notice. read more

Purchased a used washer and dryer from this business. They came with a one year warranty. The first time we used the washer, literally two days after it was delivered, one of the agitators snapped off. We called to have it repaired under the warranty and were told that the warranty only covered the equipment if it stopped working. I'm not sure exactly what that means, I'm pretty sure it means we have a meaningless warranty since they get to define what "stops working" means. Will not be back and would not recommend. read more

We've used Quality Maytag for years, but now that the business has transferred to new owners, the quality and responsiveness has declined. We've waited for 3 months to resolve a Maytag refrigerator icemaker issue. The first service call resulted in a part replacement that did not resolve the issue, the tech ordered another part, but there was no record of it being ordered and the owner was mystified as to why the tech had replaced that part. Follow up calls resulted in different tech visit and that tech indicated he would order other parts. After calling the store again, there was no information on the order and I was promised a call back. After two days of waiting, I called again, but again, no one knew about the status. This is not the Quality Maytag we knew under the previous owner. We will not use them in the future. Fortunately, there are other Maytag/Whirlpool Corporate approved appliance repair companies in Prescott. read more

I had in issue with my kenmore ice maker I contacted Maytag and they ordered me the RIGHT part, (awesome) and it came fast, they called me when it came in, I picked it up and was going to install it myself but Im just a PLUMBER ! I received a brand new Maytag dryer that didn't dry. After playing telephone roulette with Whirlpool Corp. (parent company of Maytag) I finally used their on-line repair request. Within a few hours, Quality Maytag contacted me with an appointment schedule. Roger came to my house, analyzed the issue and told me I needed a new control board. The board arrived quickly and Quality Maytag kept me informed along the way. Roger made the repair quickly, neatly and thoroughly. I highly recommend Quality Maytag for appliance repair. read more

Terrible experience. They have given me the runaround for the past two months on a brand new refrigerator that has only cooled to 42 degrees. They replaced the main components - and after waiting a over a month to get those parts - the refrigerator still did not work and they refused to advocate with whirlpool for me to get a new replacement refrigerator. Instead, they have passed the buck to another appliance store to get a second opinion. For two months, my BRAND NEW-refrigerator only cools to 42 degrees!! I told them I if I had bought the refrigerator at Costco, it would have been easily replaced. I was told by a manager that I should have bought it at Costco then! And I recommend that you should by YOUR appliances there to! Take it from Quality Maytag -- buy your appliances elsewhere! read more

Very pleasant young man, can't remember his name, came to check my fridge as it wasn't dispensing ice. Well, come to find out it wasn't turned on. I am very disappointed in both the product and the service this company has provided. I have purchased a number of appliances from this company and have had to have them out to repair each of the machines I have bought. But this was the last straw. I traded my still well-working Amana washer and dryer in on newer models that I thought would be more water and energy efficient since I am on a well and propane. I have had continued problems with them: most recently the dryer has stopped working on the sensing setting and today the washer stopped working entirely. When I called the company I was told that that was too bad, and asked if I would like to set up a service call ($80 plus parts). The person I spoke to sounded as cynical and unconcerned as anyone I've ever dealt with (even in LA!). I'll never do business with them again and will caution anyone I know to avoid them as well. My Dads refrigerator stopped working. I called Quality Maytag and Merle came out the next day. It needed a new control panel. He said it could take up to 5 days to get it in. Luckily we had a smaller refrigerator in the other room to keep everything cold. The service lady called the next day around noon and said the part was in and put us on the next mornings schedule. Five minutes later Merle called and said he had time to bring it right away if we would be home. He came out and had it done in less than a half hour. What service!! Will definitely recommend them to anyone needing a appliance or repair. read more
