This was awful. I got a gift from my mother who mind you is 71 years old. She went to best buy and bought what she thought was a the case for my phone. When I got it it was for the s8+ and I had just gotten the 9+. I had got distracted with work and spaced returning it up until yesturday. I drove out to the valley I live south of spokane. I go into best buy talk to a young lady and politely explain that I dont have the receipt and its doubtful my mom has an account with them she bought this for me as a gift. So she calls the manager up to handle this. He wasn't helpful at all. He said Best buy- cant return it. Me- how come Best buy- no receipt Me- it was a gift from my mother Best buy- does she have an account Me- no I'm pretty sure she doesnt but idk. Best buy- does she have a rewards card or do u have her debit card number? Me thinking " for christ sakes NO IT WAS A GIFT I GOT IT 2 WEEKS AGO AND FINALLY FOUND THE TIME TO DRIVE OUT TO THE VALLEY AND RETURN IT.!!!!! I want to give a shout out to Aaron.. Matt...Tracy who is one of their Managers. If I could give them 10 stars I would. We had been to another business that solely sells appliances. It was the worst experience EVER.. That being said we were reluctant to just go anywhere. So my husband checked with the BBB and Yelp and much to our surprise Best Buy got the best ratings.. especially in Customer Service. We went there and ordered our oven. We had some technical difficulties on our end which they went out of their way to just keep moving ahead until everything was fixed and our oven hooked up. We couldn't be more pleased with the end result.. but without ALL the GREAT Customer we had this would not of been successful...We will definitely do business with Best Buy for any future purchases. Thanks again to those people whose goal was to just make sure we had a working oven!!!! read more

This review concerns the TERRIBLE service of the Geek Squad. We purchased a Ring Pro doorbell camera and contacted Geek Squad to install it. The day we thought they were installing, it was just a guy coming by to assess the job. He was supposed to call back with an install time, BUT HE NEVER DID. We called him five times and left messages. We texted him. We called his supervisor and nobody EVER returned our calls. Can it get any more awful than that??? Avoid the Geek Squad, and avoid Best Buy. I gave them a chance and now they've lost a customer. read more

15 years ago we bought a new tv at this location. They sent us the floor model delivered after two weeks and it didn't work. Two weeks later a repairman came, couldn't fix it and after 6 full weeks we FINALLY got a new in box working tv. Never went back until : Yesterday we had a mirror with back up camera purchased and installed. According to the manual there was a charger in the box however, it wasn't in the box nor in the vehicle. I called and waited on hold 10 mins and got disconnected. I called again, another 10 mins later got through, was transferred and got to leave my name and number for a call back! So I went on chat. All I need is for someone to physically walk to the install department, see if the charger is there, which it is I'm sure since it was required for the install, tell me it's there so I can go get it. NOPE, chat says to go to any store for a replacement. I asked for the manager's number for the east Spokane location, he gave me the number for east HOUSTON! I said Washington not Texas, he gave me the number for NORTH Spokane. Too much to go 50 feet and ask the installer if they have my charger I guess. NEVER AGAIN. Usually good service, but you can tell if you aren't going to buy something expensive, you won't get much help. Anyway, bought something for $35, and realized it wouldn't work for me after I got home. So I brought it back a few days later for a refund. I paid cash, the package was unopened, and I had the receipt. She asked to SEE my ID, which I thought was strange since I paid cash and it was a relatively small amount. She then scanned the back of my DL into the computer. Now if their policy is to see it, that's fine, but if you ask to SEE it, then take it and SCAN it without asking me, then you have lied to me. I'm sorry, but with identity theft and the world we live in, there's a reason I pay cash as often as I can. That pissed me off to the point where I won't go back. best buy uses citi bank..citi bank splits purchases up so you cannot pay on just one or the other item .. 6 or 18 month no interest promo, a camera , 6 month promo to pay off, then a few days later you buy a tv thats on a 18 moth promo, your bill will come showing how they split your payment into payments..if you payed 100.00 on the camera it would not show that, it will show 100.00 applied but only a portion of that goes to the camera and the rest goes to the tv..so if you think your going to pay off the camera before the tv to avoid the deadline on interest free you wont.. this causes the smaller bill to be stretched out and purposely miss the deadline.talked to citi bank at best buy and was told no i cannot make the payment to a certain bill at all, very rude and i had to hang up on them.even the store manager was no help..thanks best buy..i think this is the worst buy. read more

Absolutely horrible. Long story short they sold us 2 iPads on the Edge program (2 yr contract) with Verizon, with a 50 credit per Month on both pieces. Apparently this only applies to phones. This will set is back about $1200...When we came in and spoke to Brandon, Taj and the MGR. on duty they all assured us that it would be taken care of ASAP. We have spent over 20 hours back and forth with these idiots and no resolution to this day. Almost 7 months later. They have ignored our emails and have not kept their word about "making this right". Outrageous. We purchased an expensive Asus laptop, with windows 8.1, and a LG Slim Portable DVD Writer to watch movies on. It has never worked...will not play anything. We have talked to Best several times on the phone...no help whatsoever! Finally, my wife took the equipment to the store. They could not explain why the dvd player did not work on the asus laptop, and they had the audacity to suggest that we purchase an expensive service contract...then they might be able to fix things! The LG player worked straightaway with our other computers. They want to blame LG, or 8.1, or other things. We purchased this stuff from them! It should work as described. It does not. The other one wouldn't help us at all & he was standing around doing nothing at all... He wouldn't check their inventory or help us find anything that would work... First time I was in it was over staffed and that made it awkward as they all tried to talk over each other. I stayed 2 hours only to be told I needed to come back another day that we couldn't switch phones that day. I came back today to find the store under staffed and the one guy that was there worked slower then molasses. I've been sitting here for another two hours and am still no were close to being done. When I went to customer service they couldn't give me my order, even though what I had ordered was already in stock. Customer service wouldn't override my order on their end even though I showed them the email telling me I had it in stock. Honestly, what kind of business doesn't want any business? I had been shopping around for remote start, upgrading my stereo system and installing dynamate for sound deadening and Derek and Henry (the installers) were beyond helpful, friendly, professional and very knowledgable!!! I shopped around for weeks with several local competitors and found Best Buy to be my best option. They were the only ones that were honest, upfront about any charges and most of all not paid by commission so I wasn't just another sale! They carefully listed to all our needs, priced matched their competitors and went above and beyond. I was extremely pleased with them, their work and their knowledge. They did their research on what I inquired and the final work was perfect! I highly recommend going with them instead of other "local" audio places that just have shady salesmen with all kinds of hidden installation and part fees!! read more

I've never really had a bad experience here, but this is related specifically to the car audio section. I had them install a sub and amp over 4 years ago. I'm now selling the car and called to see what they'd charge to remove the stuff . He asked when I bought it, I said maybe 3 yrs ago? Turns out it was 4 years ago and he found the receipt, tho I didn't know why it mattered. Turns out since they installed it, they'll pull it all out for free! Set an appt with an hr and a half planned. I was out in 30 mins! Even got some helpful info on backup cams and install options for my old stuff in the new car. I don't normally write reviews on stores but this place deserves one and deserves a great one from me. Recently I just bought a $3,900 Sony 75-inch TV and that was after doing a lot of price comparisons with other local stores. Best Buy matched Huppins and I was able to not only get the TV for the same price that Huppins was selling it for but was able to utilize that purchase to go with my Reward Zone points. Which means I got a handful of money back after the purchase. Most recently I bought a home security camera system, the tag on the Shelf said $249.00 and when I went up to pay for the system it rang up as 499. The employee asked me to show him where I grabbed the box he looked at it and confirmed that the Shelf was mislabeled. He called the manager up, he explained to the manager what happened and the manager adjusted the price and I got the $500 item for 249. No questions asked. That was remarkable and something I'll definitely remember in the future. read more

Store is clean and layout is good. Service is not. Went to Spokane Valley store to buy a disc cleaner for a Bose stereo. Was directed to back of store. One salesperson helping another customer. Waited and waited for at least some acknowledgement that I existed. Followed salesperson around and gave up. Went to find disc myself. No luck. Came back and same salesperson ignored me again even after his customer left. I had to approach him and ask, once I could get him to stop and recognize me. Pointed to disc and left. Didn't ask any questions or make sure that it was what I needed. Well, it was the wrong disc so next day I went to return it. Waited and waited in line to return. Only one customer was being helped with two salespersons helping the man. Waited and waited more. More customers showed up behind me except two lined up at "pickup" line just to my side. A cashier, appeared to be a manager of sorts began helping the other customers even though I had been there way ahead of them. I essentially threw the disc on the counter and said I was next and had been waiting. No apology but did do my simple return. Went out into the store to buy a $200 smartwatch. No one around. I waited and finally found someone. He was nice and helpful but I didn't buy because another store had it much cheaper. Service is lousy at this store when you can find service. Here it is 15 days before Christmas you'd think they would have help. No wonder box stores keep closing. This one won't be far behind. read more

Go there and the Customer Service ladies were GREAT, they exchanged them without any hassle . The technical guy was just as helpful and friendly. Recent IPAD purchase - sales rep included a "free promotional" WiFi hotspot (called a Jet Pack) with the IPAD. We were told it could be activated any time we wished but they, in fact, activated it immediately causing a $20/month charge and now a $155 charge for early termination. Yes, we did sign a contract but were TOLD it was not activated until we wished it to be. This only came to light after talking with Verizon on another matter. A trip back to Best Buy ended up with no satisfaction and we were lied to again - the department supervisor and store manager said they could not terminate the contract nor could they waive the early termination fee. Another call to Verizon confirmed they, as an authorized Verizon dealer, could do both of those requests. No more business with Best Buy - ever. read more

I have a love-hate with Best Buy which has turned into mostly hate-hate. First of all, I've dropped several thousand dollars there over the last 10 years or whatever. As my kiddos got older they were into electronics and I bought an awful lot of X-Mas presents there. Plus, I love high end stuff myself. And the equipment there is usually good stuff, often prices pretty well, but the help is unspeakably horrid. I don't get it, either. But the sales people tend to be lazy, distracted, unhelpful, impatient, and unknowledgeable. The ones in Portland Oregon area are just as bad. And please, please, pleeeeease don't push your stupid in house warranty scamolas on me. And for Godsakes quit the bait and switch crap with your computers - "oh sorry, there's an extra charge for the virus protection software, I know it doesn't mention that on the ad but blah blah blah" God, I hate that crap. I always feel like I'm making love to a pig in the mud while hillbillies beat me about the head and back with long, hand-carved horned toad scepters made from ironwood when I buy from Best Buy. It's like I know I want to make love to a pig in the mud because it's so organic and back to nature but dude, I don't need the hillbilly beating.
