Worst store and Geek Squad experience ever! I had a reservation and arrived early. Matt, the one Geeker on duty, ran behind by about 7 minutes, which was okay with me. My extended Logi keyboard had stopped working and the Dell Inspiron keyboard kept deleting my efforts to type. But a woman showed up behind me without a reservation and began insisting on immediate help after being told she needed to wait until noon. Then a lineup started forming behind her. My keyboard problem proved to be a breeze after testing the batteries on the Logi keyboard (which were tricky even for him to access). (He put the dead batteries back in the Logi and advised me to buy new batteries to install at home. At this point, I'd only used about 6 minutes of my 20 minute reservation--and had a round-trip Uber bill for $30. I hung tight, refusing to budge till he got and installed new batteries, then tested the keyboard. I know a battery change may seem like nothing. But I'd lost a day's laptop work and had deadlines to meet. When I tried to complain to the MOD, he couldn't be bothered and referred me to a team lead. Not good enough. This store was understaffed and needs to honor and enforce its reservation policy. read more

Best Buy Geek Squad on Wetmore: Yesterday I had a bad experience with the repair. In the past I've had positive experiences. I was having a problem with a couple apps on my phone not working. The tech started uninstalling various apps on my phone. He uninstalled all my security software. Norton VPN, Norton antivirus, my Norton password. He uninstalled ad block, which was rated the number two ad blocker by CNET. He uninstalled my keep notes app. I had to reinstall everything and set up each of the Norton apps and reconfigure. I can't believe they removed my security software. He said since that did not get the two apps working, I should probably do a factory reset on my phone. I spent a lot of time getting my phone back in shape after he worked on it. read more

I bought a TV and cabinet on Aug 14th and the soonest they had for delivery was today Aug 20th. So we put our trip on hold till it the day after delivery. Our delivery window was 1pm-5pm. I waited all day and tried calling BestBuy to see what the status was. No answers given. They said it's out for delivery. NO SHOW and NO CALL WHAT SO EVER!! All we got was oh we are so sorry for your inconvenience. If we known they were not going to deliver today we would have left for our trip. Sad!!!! Now it's on me to reschedule. No customer service what so ever. Here's an update on my order. Do to BestBuys lack of service I have to now wait 2 more weeks for my order to be delivered. Talk about customer satisfaction. Every representative I spoke to said they couldn't help me get a sooner delivery date even when they F**** up my scheduled delivery. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I got no response or they said we can message them but it's not a guarantee they will call you back. I found a Geek Squad charge on my credit card in September. The customer service person assured me that it was taken care of, so imagine my surprise when the October bill arrived with late fees. While they agreed not to charge me for the rest of the year, they insist that I have to pay for the month that they failed to cancel. Plus $29 late fees. I had the best experience with Best Buy's auto department. I came in yesterday hoping someone could look at my stereo to see if it could be replaced. Marco immediately looked at it and thoroughly explained my options without me having an appointment. He brought me into the store to go over stero options, recommending one that was higher quality than what I had with almost no price difference. Even though they were booked three weeks out on auto repairs, he said if I dropped my car off that evening, he would come in early the next morning to install the new stereo. When I came to pick up my car, he showed me all the features of the new stereo before sending me on my way. I have never in my life had a customer service experience like this one. I paid for data transfer,,,and left my old computer, which was working fine to transfer to a new computer so I could have Windows 11. When I went to pick up both computers, my older computer would not turn on.There was no offer to fix or review or have it re-look at it, I'm screwed because I don't have a back up computer. We bought a tv, sound bar, mounting bracket on 11/30 from the Best Buy on Wetmore., to be delivered 12/6. 12/6 tv and sound bar delivered but no mounting bracket and no advance notice it was not being delivered. Delivery employee said would it be in Monday 12/8. Delivery employee also sent me incorrect receipt that all 3 items had been delivered. Per company email I tried on 12/7 to schedule delivery on line. I got an error message twice. So, I called twice on Sunday, holding close to 20 minutes each time to speak to a live employee.. The first employee told me the bracket was out for delivery from 10-2. The 2nd employee told me it was not out for delivery, could not help and when I asked to speak to a manager the call was "dropped". On 12/8 I called, waited 20 minutes to speak to a live employee. Other stores have the bracket but she could not order it transferred to the Wetmore store. Even though its Best Buys errors she suggested I go to another Best Buy and pick it up, get a credit from Wetmore store. We live 45 minutes from the nearest store. she told me she could not help but they had a comparable one in stock for me to pick up 12/9. The last employee, Aiden was aa least cordially unhelpful. Best Buy The 1st thing to remember is that everyone is struggling with staff and to be kind to the staff who are there in trying to help people. I found that staff were more than willing to help me and the greeter at the door went out of their way to find someone totally appropriate to give me personal service and help me and get exactly what I wanted when you're older and you can't see very well and you're not really sure about things it's really nice to have a young person who's patient and willing to help you. The store was clean and well organized. Best buy has all kinds of electronic products for modern families and young people. I was looking for some phone accessories and I was able to get help to find exactly what I was looking for. Other times I've gotten help with a small Smart TV and finding it and a camera. Each time there were young people that really knew their area that were available. I've also had my laptop checked out and upgraded there and they did a nice job with that. I find that I can usually get in-and-out in a very timely manner. read more

I told the idiot that they should take the phone number off their website and you just lost 2 sales. If I could give these folks 0 stars, I would. I ordered a new range that was on backorder... OK, fine, I was happy to wait a few more weeks. Then the install date rolled around and they didn't show (despite multiple texts confirming the appointment, etc). I called customer support (which was quite an adventure) and they said it wasn't available after all and they gave a new appointment. OK, fine. The Geek Squad showed up for the new appointment with the range but no cord or install order -- apparently, when they rescheduled, the order was split. So I was left without a working stove for 5 days. When they finally showed up for the "install," it was obvious that these kids were clueless. They didn't know how to level the thing, didn't have tools, and were obviously in training mode. One of them had previously added an extension on to the back of the stove that prohibited my from opening my cabinet door (I had to remove this). Then they lined up four Best Buy trucks on my street to do some staging... for nearly an hour!!! I am so disgusted with Best Buy / Geek Squad right now that I will never purchase anything from them again. My next appliances will come from a small, locally owned business. I dropped of my laptop for a hinge replacement and was charged a deductible when dropping it off. When picked up, my touch screen no longer worker and the arrow icon appears only sometimes. I left it to be re-repaired and they lied and said they did not send it in for repairs because I never answered my phone to approve a battery replacement. They denied I ever paid the deductible and I had to get my laptop back worse than how it was, no refund yet and the 80$ i paid are MIA. The Geek Squad is incompetent and picket money evidently. Horrible shop with mad staff members. The sales adviser gave me a wrong price ( on sale 45 usd) of a mobile phone card when i double checked the price of the card. Then when the cashier Renee her name, gave me the real price at the cashier desk (90 usd no longer on sale), I said I did not want to buy it anymore for that price and then the cashier Renee became totally insane and forced me to buy it saying she would call the police to arrest me if I didn't buy it because i had open it to check the expiration date... a supervisor came and of course the sale adviser said the price of 45 usd he indicated me was the price of yesterday and not today, perfectly normal to give clients past prices ... the supervisor also forced me the buy the card i did not want for 90 Usd. Had I checked the reviews on Best Buy and the Geek Squad I would have known that I was not dealing with reputable people. More than 90% 1 star reviews on one site alone. I was not taken advantage of with my 1 year membership with an automatic renewal, I was totally cheated by not getting the PC data transferred from one to a new PC (which a neighbor completed for me in 10 minutes). A Geek called and wanted to 'recycle' my old 17" HP Envy, I resisted then he put a little more pressure wanting me to approve 'recycling' over the phone and I got the picture and said 'No' since I felt that he was a con-artist. He was! My old PC worked fine after my neighbor did the download. I have no question that the Geek was going to make some side money on my 'recycled' PC. Horrible company and I purchased thousands of dollars of PC's and TV's through the years...never again! So, I called their Geek Squad for help with an older computer. They sent a lovely girl named KateLyn. Not only did I buy a new Apple Computer through her, but a $200 contract for the Geek Squad. That would set me up with open techhelp for at least a year. HOWEVER, I was not able to text or phone KateLyn again (no answer), and as for Geek Squad Remote, they are unintelligible and I couldn't ask for anything. My advice!! Go directly to APPLE. I've spent my last dollar at BB! Ridiculous Jan. 13 cut off for Christmas returns and exchanges even if you're a Best Buy Total member (60 day returns). If the person that purchased the gift isn't a member then you're SOL. My family has spent thousands of dollars (over 5k this year) and they wouldn't even consider an exchange for a phone charger that won't work with my phone. I was going to exchange it for one at a HIGHER price, giving them even more money! But nope. It's "sToRE poLiCY". They've lost a high spending customer over a $40 charger. Just dumb. We bought a Tablo device the first week of January. Before handing over my credit card, I asked the sales person about the return window, in case the Tablo did not work for us (it has mixed reviews). He indicated we had 30 days to return. We took the Tablo back today, within 30 days, to return (it got very little service in our area). We were told we were beyond the return window, which is 15 days. The manager showed me on the receipt that 15 days is the return window. We never looked at the receipt, instead trusting what the sales person told us. The manager would not budge on the policy. I should have looked at the Best Buy reviews for this store before purchasing from them (two stars), we have bought all of our office supplies from Best Buy for years.... Never again. If I could give less than one star.... Please folks: we have many other options in Tucson; give another company your business. On Tuesday, August 22 I decided to place an order for a 32" tv and a rotating wall mount, and I selected the "free delivery" option as driving with Parkinson's has become more challenging over time. The Best Buy website promised that both items would be delivered the following day. My wife and I waited literally the entire day of Wednesday, August 22 for the delivery truck to arrive. The text sent by Best Buy (or a company they contract with for deliveries) continued to show that we could expect the delivery to arrive on Wednesday until 10:30 pm when we finally went to bed. On Thursday I went to the Wetmore Best Buy location, and the customer service agent, although sympathetic to what we had experienced, stated that it was out of their hands. He said that he had multiple such problems with a delivery company called OnTrac. Apparently Best Buy knows of the issue, but they simply wash their hands of the matter with a rather unconvincing apology. This is one of Best Buy's greatest business shortcomings. They contract with sub-par delivery companies, and then fail to stand by their own "good name." Can you imagine being bumped by an airline with a ticket in your hand, and then being offered nothing more than an apology? Even restaurants understand the importance of establishing and maintaining goodwill with their customers when an order arrives late, or has a significant problem. What is expected is not simple contrition, but restitution. My wife and I spent over ten hours waiting. How much do even entry-level employees at Best Buy make per hour? How about store managers? How about the Best Buy employees who made the decision to contract with OnTrac? I expect compensation, not useless platitudes that do absolutely nothing to correct the situation. One final note. The customer service agent with whom I spoke (Jagadesh) was very helpful and truly sympathetic. He said that he was not given the authority to provide compensation, and I believe him. What he did provide, however, was respect and kindness. This is much more than I have received from Best Buy here in Tucson or at the corporate office. Why ever would someone buy a computer at BestBuy? Today, I went To Best Buy to buy an iPad because I had a few questions. (They never got answered because you need to make an appointment with someone who has the answers). I tried to make appointment but was routed to India which is always a waste of time. The process of driving down, waiting, getting frustrated, and driving back consumed a couple hours. After deciding I would never shop with Best Buy again, I got out my phone and ordered the iPad in question and had it delivered from Amazon which took all of 60 seconds. And it will be delivered today AND THE PRICE WAS LESS!!! It turns out any technical questions can be answered quickly, easily and without frustration online. Jamey is the most incompetent manager to work at such a huge company. There was an issue with a screen protector exchange and the associate said he couldn't figure it out and a manager would come over. The associate went over to help other while I waited. The manager comes over and I begin to explain what's going on, he cuts me off and says he "wants the associate to explain it without all the extra stuff." Wait I'm the customer experiencing the issue that the associate couldn't figure out yet you want him to explain it?! That makes zero sense. When he couldn't figure it out either, I explained I would repurchase the item and no longer wished for his help and would like the associate to help me since they actually had good customer service. The associate tells me they are looking for the item to repurchase and they will do the exchange. The manager comes back over and says I have to do my transaction with him. For what? I went there looking for a lap desk for a friend who had a double mastectomy with reconstruction, and could not have weight on her legs, as they took fat from there for reconstruction. A person asked me if I needed help, and he showed me the TWO options. One for 99 dollars...(for a lap desk with outlets) and one for 59 dollars same lap weight type.. WAY overpriced. Makes me sad because I remember Best Buy being a place I could go for competitive pricing. I get we are all making adjustments with COVID...but seriously , the mark up was ridiculous on those items. I know that because I went elsewhere and saw the same item...for 20 dollars less. Warning-unnecessarily long appliance shopping review- yes I have no life. Had a really wonderful appliance purchase experience, said no one ever. Well I did after buying a fridge and over the range microwave here. I'd had a few months of internet review reading, consumer reports, and some in person shopping at Costco, Sears and Home Depot before finally making a decision at Best Buy. I appreciated the no pressure vibe of the staff (different than Home Depot and Sears, but not non existent like Costco), they were present and made us aware of that, but didn't pressure or stalk us as we browsed. When we were ready with questions we easily found some help and the sales person who helped us, Ryan B, was knowledgeable and didn't provide any added pressure. We wanted to know more about a model not in store, and he walked around showing us features from other models that we would find in the model we were interested in. He also helped us weigh the pros and cons of the two refrigerators we had it narrowed down to, again with no pressure or bias one way or the other. Ryan even did the price matching research for us as we ended up going with a model I hadn't done the price match legwork on yet. Found it at Costco at a lower price and immediately agreed to match it since we had a Costco membership. For their Memorial Day Sale we received a $100 gift card since we bought two appliances, Best Buy ended up being the best deal and best customer service experience. After all of our discounts we ended up purchasing the extra Geek Squad support for one year. The support saved us a lot on our warranties and didn't cost us much in the end. Install and delivery was great, professional and friendly. Our fridge came with a cracked drawer and the delivery crew offered a new fridge or they could order us a new drawer on the spot. We chose to order a new drawer- painless. Long story short, I wish I would've started my appliance hunt at Best Buy rather than going all over town! read more
