I had a capacitor blow on a Ryobi bench grinder. Not wanting to spend another $200.00 on one, I decided to take the capacitor over to Elliott's and see if they could match it up; and they did. Customer service is exceptional here and the sheer volume of odd ends of electronics is MIND boggling! They even had computer parts from the 80's!? Recommendation: Absolutely!! Not a good source for Audiophile vacuum tubes in my experience. I ordered 3 - OA2, 3 - OB2, and 3 - OC2 VR tubes to roll in a 300B amp I have coming soon. They called & told me they only had 1 - OC2 (understandable) & I said fine, just adjust the order/refund for the 2 missing tubes, no biggie. What I then received was 1 - OC2, 4 - OA2, and 1 - OB2, some RCA, a Sylvania and a "Conn" (life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get). All looked pretty rough, dirty & very bent pins. I have not tested them yet but at best they may test as NOS, but are definitely used, not NOS. When I called to correct the order, I was told "you received the correct total number of tubes, so we cant refund. You need to send back tubes if you want them replaced". Considering this was their mistake, and that we're talking about tubes that are worth, at most, $9.50, I had assumed they would send out replacements for the 2 - missing OB2 tubes, and either send a return postage slip, or just say "keep the tube you didn't order". But, I guess that's not how they roll. Anyway, lesson learned. I wont bother them with my business again. read more

These guys are LIFESAVERS! I had purchased a lamp one year ago, used it infrequently and then recently is just died! I figured it was in need of a bulb replacement but the bulb in non-replaceable (OttLite MERGE). It was still under a 2-year warranty, I contacted OttLite, they sent me out a new lamp, I tried the new power cord on the old unit and it worked. I scoured the internet for days trying to find the same power supply but came up empty-handed. I emailed Elliott Electronic Supply (NOT to be confused with Elliot ELECTRIC supply) in Tucson, sent them some photos and they said they could hook me up. I drove over there and was AMAZED at this store! It has EVERYTHING your little heart desires. The gentleman who helped me had long blonde hair and I think glasses, and another man in a wheelchair. Together they tested my defunct power supply and found me a replacement with an adapter. We tested the lamp and whalla!, it worked perfectly! Just became aware of this place. Tough to find any surplus electronic part stores these days. Most have closed up or don't have an online store. Old (no longer available most places) Weller tip found here and reasonably priced. Shipping cost is a tad high, but just order a bunch of other stuff you didn't know you need to make the order worthwhile. My 1st ever order arrived complete and fast to WA. I ordered thur afternoon, usps delivered mon. ps. I did worry about their (reportedly) compulsory restocking fee fiasco for an order that doesn't ship...(when they sell something but their sales inventory doesn't match their physical store stock.) read more

I must give Elliott Electronic Supply four stars. They are not Radio Shack and that's a good thing. You may find your electronics needs on sale in the parking lot where many slow moving items are priced at a dollar. If you know what you need, down to the Ohm, Farad or Henry then this is the place to go. I needed seven 1000 uF, 16V capacitors and got a great deal. They had a micrometer so I could measure the capacitor sizes and assure myself that the new parts would fit where the old ones lived. Think of Radio Shack on steroids. Interesting and spacious shop dealing with everything electronics. From components to toy kits to security cameras, they have a wide selection. One negative point was that the guy I spoke with on the phone assured me they had a fuse I needed (nonstandard), but when I showed up they only had what I was told would be an equivalent alternative. The last real electronic component supply house in Tucson (AFAIK). They're Knowledgeable, Friendly and helpful. They sell a wide variety components, tools, wire/cable and even used equipment. If they don't have what you're looking for, they can get it pretty quick. The prices may not be as low as some of the online mega-electronics suppliers but they're right here in Tucson with a brick mortar store and they have been able to keep the doors open when many of these types of businesses are dying. ..and that's why they get 5 stars from me! read more

WORST Electrical store in all of Tucson. Do not go here and ask for help, have them sell you something that is wrong then do not offer a return on your unused items! I purchased $300.00 dollars in equipment and unfortunately my electrican told me was the incorrect hardware, so I brought my items back expecting my money back. Been going here since I was an engineering student at the UofA. Pretty much the only game in town if you need electrical components. Really helpful if you know what you are looking for before you go. Recently they had all the parts I need to convert my son's Hot Wheels toy to be powered off outlet power instead of 6 D batteries. One stop shop for all the connectors and power supplies. Just remember if you don't know what you need you maybe wasting a lot of time in store trying to figure out what you need. read more
