I've been going on and off to see Dr. Arai for many, many years. As I've gotten older, I can really appreciate the work he puts in. I have had neck issues lately and am very sensitive to the discomfort especially noticing it during my morning meditation. Dr. Arai is sort of like a quiet superhero. I can hear him quietly saying numbers or something while he is inspecting my neck. He is probably in deep focus figuring things out to adjust accurately. You can feel he puts quality and effort into his work. He is present and in the moment. This morning, I woke up, meditated and had zero discomfort. It was a pleasant experience to not have to experience any neck discomfort. My wife loves Dr. Arai and has gone to him for many, many years. My wife has been seeing Dr, Arai for years and he helps tremendously in relieving her back pain. Until recently I had always been frightened to see a chiropractor. In my head I couldn't imagine all that bone cracking could be good for you. I worried a visit to a chiropractor could mean that I'd be carried out on a stretcher and forced to live my days out as Timmy the Worm Boy at a circus sideshow. But after doctors and physical therapy failed to completely eliminate shoulder pain I decided to give this clinic - specifically Dr. Arai - a try. The office is amidst a group of bungalows hidden down an alley behind Tokyo Central Market. The stark exterior might make you wary but once inside the professional reception staff make you feel welcome and comfortable. Dr. Arai's clientele is primarily Japanese as is his native language so communication sometimes required hand gestures when I needed to get in certain positions for him to work his magic but I always understood what he intended to do. Some adjustments to the bones, electrical stimulation and massaging immediately helped my shoulder and a couple return visits have vastly improved things. I expect continued visits will eventually get me back to normal. I admit I'm still not completely comfortable with the whole concept but it's working! This place is very, very busy. All the doctors are well known for being the best in the business so the schedule fills up. You absolutely need an appointment and even then it might be a few weeks in advance. Someone told me he has hands of god, and I can vouch for it! I've had chronic back pain for +10 years & been to multiple doctors, chiropractors and physical therapy all ended up in vain. When I moved to OC, someone recommended Dr. Arai. In I go with full of pain, out I came with my body feeling ever lighter and aligned. His method might be somewhat different from many chiropractors you've had sessions with. No fancy machines, no unnecessary joint adjustments where you feel no change after the adjustment. He carefully examines your body and makes adjustments as necessary. I've been with him for 3 years now, and my condition has significantly improved! Now I come back for him to make routine adjustments (my posture is bad that my back gets misaligned if I left it unattended). I have been trying to find a good chiropractor to address the varying pain I have from TMJ dysfunction, neck + back issues, hyperactive joints, and plenty of other issues that would be too long to list here. I have been fortunate enough to see Dr. Sudo, who is not only a chiropractor, but has a background in applied Kinesiology and understands the body's deep connection to energy. I felt immediately comfortable sharing my chronic pain, and have already seen him twice this month and will see Dr. Sudo again this week. Something to understand about seeing a chiropractor: it is not just about invasive cracking within all of our joints for the heck of it - it's about understanding whether our joints need release, repositioning, or control; in my case, it's more repositioning and control. Luckily, this office has licensed and trained massage therapists as well. I work in healthcare and the last few months (given the pandemic) have taken a toll with the stress being stored in my body. Exercise is great but I have been wanting to experience lymphatic drainage massage; this massage is extremely beneficial for anyone under stress, especially for me with TMJ dysfunction. I go to Dr. Arai for preventative chiropractic care once every couple of months. He is experienced and a plus if you are Japanese. He always takes time to explain how the spine works, what causes pain and how to fix it. It is incredible how well I feel and how much better my posture is after a session. Since he is so popular, you have to book a few weeks out in advance if you want a specific time. I also had consultations with Dr. Ito and Naomi. All highly recommended. read more

Dr. Arai was kind enough to see me when I developed excruciating shoulder pain on a Saturday night. My boyfriend and I called around at 6 pm and the Best Chiropractor Clinic was the only place that answered. They were closing up but Dr. Arai said he could see me at 6:30 am. I expected a quick assessment, adjustment and to be sent on my way as soon as possible. It is, after all, so close to closing time on a weekend. I've been to around 7 Chiropractors over the last 8-9 years. I never had much luck with either physical therapy or chiropractors until I was referred by a friend to Dr Arai at Best Chiropractic. Best Clinic Chiropractic is the Best place ! No doctors open for wellness checks this year so I was referred to Dr Yojiro Sudo he's a chiropractor and certified in Applied Kinesiology. I've been so so many chiropractors in the past and they all do pretty much the same thing just different bedside manners but lots of invasive cracking and long treatment diagnosis. Dr Sudo really took his time with me first visit in order to address all my issues from a neck that's constantly hurting headaches and menopause and even a smoking problem I haven't been able to shake . The combination of kinesiology with chiropractic as many of you know is a great way to address any painful issues and also addressing the body as a system so I can have overall health and wellness. My wife and I have used the services of both doctors for any pain we have in our neck or back. My wife after having our first child had pain in her lower back after the delivery for 2 weeks. So she decided to go see Dr. Arai who took his time to show her recent research that states that after birth many women have lower back problems due to a twisted pelvis. After showing her the research he adjusted her pelvis and gave her a pelvic brace to wear to keep her pelvis in place. This method of treatment worked very well. On a subsequent visit to Best Chiropractic, my wife saw Dr. Hori for an adjustment to her lower back. Dr. Hori took his time and made sure that he only adjusted the areas of her back where she was experiencing pain. When my wife came home, she told me she felt wonderful and feels no pain at all. I initially started seeing Dr. Arai after my car accident. My main concern at that time being whiplash. He treated me and I got better, but here is what's amazing about this doctor. Since he sounded very knowledgeable and experienced, I tried asking him about my other problems I've had all my life even though I thought they had nothing to do with chiropractic. Well, I'm glad I asked! He found out root causes of my problems with logical explanations that helped treat and deal with them better! When I tell my general practitioners, they don't even consider those as problems (even though I am troubled by it) or couldn't figure out what's happening so they do nothing or give me some pain killers. For a while, I had some serious fatigue around my eyes and couldn't keep my eyes fully open and moving my eyes was a pain.
