Dr. Homma is a godsend. I've had unexplained chest pain in my lower left quadrant near ribs 8,9,10 since November 2023. I've seen various MDs over that time and many have claimed it was a simple case of costochondritis that should resolve with rest and anti-inflammatories. Well, ibuprofen would do the trick for about a few days and the pain would always return. Since then, its gotten progressively worse and I was at my wit's end. I saw Dr. Homma, and after a thorough exam, he explained that my bottom rib joints were completely locked up along the spinal column, and that was causing the pain in the front! I've had about 4 adjustments now and it's starting to go away, slowly but surely. What a journey I have been on with my neck. I was experiencing some discomfort and before I went to see Dr.Homma I sent an elaborate email with my MRI (showing 3 neck disc bulges) and explaining that I would also like some rehabilitation exercises to do on my own at home. Dr. Homma said to give him 8 sessions and he'll have me back to normal. On the 3rd session he had me lying on the inversion table pulling on the base of my skull with a towel and swinging my head back and forth. IMMEDIATELY AFTER, MY NECK WAS RADIATING PAIN SO BAD THAT I COULDN'T PHYSICALLY MOVE. I lied on the table for 5 min scared for my life and once I tried to get up every step I took made the pain worse from my foot hitting the ground to step. I couldn't move my neck at all. He gave me a neck brace and I went home. I went to urgent care for help but nothing was helping. I went and got my MRIs re done and they are worse than what they were before seeing Dr. Homma. He tried to help me by paying for my acupuncture but that also wasn't helping and his acupuncturist said he can't help and to go see a neurosurgeon. I'm still experiencing pain to this day and unfortunately, Dr. Hommas is not willing to communicate with me at all out of fear that I was going to sue him. I went back into his office and his rude front desk college kid was shrugging his shoulders smiling saying sorry we can't give you records of your treatment and we can't speak to you - bye. Meanwhile, Dr. Homma locked himself in his office as if I were out to get him. This is all a really sad and unfortunate situation and I wish he was willing to take responsibility for his actions. My daily life and career as a trainer has been severely impacted. This happened March 24, 2023 and right this moment I'm still here with radiating pain on the same spot Dr.Homma injured. I am here sharing this publicly because I did not trust chiropractors at first and the only reason I took the chance with Dr. Homma was because all these great reviews. Dr. Homma is amazing! Intuitive, kind, and highly skilled. I recommend this place if you need an adjustment -he is very skilled and intuitive which is a rarity. He at times will muscle test to see what if any supplements you might need and also can check different food allergies. If you try to get this info at ND - it would cost you hundreds of dollars. We would continue coming here - but our insurance changed and it would be costly for regular visits. Last I checked it was 100-$150 for cash prices. They also have packages you can purchase for more of a discount. Also, there is a parking lot and that is very helpful especially in this busy area. read more

The staff are polite, the office is clean and calm, Dr Homma is very nice, and most importantly he is very good. I have chronic back pain and he has been tremendously helpful. I started bringing my wife because I felt so much better, she now also goes regularly. I highly recommend him for any symptoms that can be treated non-invasively. I don't encourage anyone needing serious "western" medical attention to replace treatment but I would encourage people to try this before directly going into western medicine (pharmaceutical or surgery). I am a new person with a new body! Found this place as it is a recommendation with Bluecross and within network and I am surprised how good I feel right now. I've been to different chiropractors before and was always hesitant to go because they always make me seems like a dying animal and force you to join some course to "fix" yourself. Well Dr. Homma with 30 years of experience here told me a bone on my neck is sticking out, but fixed it in one session. He was so thorough and made sure to test my body multiple times until I was able to stretch or raise my leg up to his standard. The session took an hour vs the usual place I went to in Ktown literally takes 5 min, you get in and get out. I am a huge fan of Dr. Homma and this is going to be my forever Chiropractor place. This review is long overdue Dr Yoshio Homa is THE BEST chiropractor I have ever been to, and I have been to many. Most chiropractors just crack your back a few times and send you on your way. Ive been seeing Dr. Homma since November 2019. I came to him as my last straw of getting better. For the last 7 years by body has been itching, Ive been sluggish and through the years it got worse. My doctors would prescribe me steroids, saying it was eczema, psoriasis or some form of allergic reaction. Telling me to exercise more or I'll be put on medication. But never needing to test me, except for regular blood work that was always normal. I will say that at first, I had no idea why he was checking areas that did not pertain to my visit (somehow I hurt my back really bad and I could not move very well. Had to be driven to the clinic). I went this office to deal with neck, back, and left Achilles injuries. It is quite modern and the doctor is very friendly and knowledgeable. The traction machine was great, and my back and neck are loosened. The place is conveniently located on the Little Tokyo, it is shame and inconvenient the Little Tokyo station is closed，however. Downside is it is hard to get an appointment. I would like to have more treatment frequently. read more

Despite some of the other reviews on here, I have to give Dr. Homma 5 stars and have no problem doing so. I had a session yesterday after a 3-year hiatus* and with a few adjustments here and there, I left feeling better (WAY better) after 2+ months of feeling absolutely terrible due to stress. He's quirky, fast-moving, and even though some may describe his techniques as "out there," the man knows what he's doing. I will absolutely return for treatment. * Apx. 3 years ago, I got treatments semi--frequently (ask about their Wellness Plan if you don't have insurance...it's 2 visits per month for $70), but 9/10 times, Dr. Homma would tell me that I don't need an adjustment and that my condition was more a matter of stress--my muscles were tense and stressed. At first, I thought this was B.S. but I started to think that perhaps he was right. I started to practice meditation and it has done WONDERS for the stress I have. I had a carpal tunnel because of overwork and visited him again. After one visit, I felt so much better and felt strength in my arm. Literally, he has a great skill. He carefully listened my symptoms and took time adjusting my body. He found a slight herniated disc in my neck which can cause neck pain and numbness or weakness in my arm.
