I have AHS warranty service. Our air conditioner quit working 6/12/2020. AHS sent Best Choice on 6/17 for repairs. The tech, Ben, said it had leaked Freon, and I'd have to pay almost $300 for a leak sealant and Freon. I did that, it only lasted 2 days. So, I called AHS back, they said BC said it was not repairable and would be replaced. BC received the replacement unit a week later from AHS. I haven't heard from them since. I've left countless messages, and texts on the office phone and the cell phone no. that Ben gave me. I have been in touch with AHS as well. Ben has blocked me from being able to call the office no. It is now mid July, and we STILL have no AC!!! Hoping AHS will send a different co. next week. Don't allow this rip off co. to touch your HVAC!!! This has been a nightmare!!! read more

I pay for home warranty and this company is who they chose to fix my a/c. First off, my upstairs unit went out 5/22 so I called to have a tech come out and fix it. The tech came5/23 and checked in the attic first then told me that the coil and relay board needed to be replaced. No biggie right? Wrong! The next day, my downstairs unit goes out so I call the warranty company to let them know and I get charged another fee for service call. We're still dealing with the same tech but were waiting on approval for parts. Mind you this all started 5/22 and well into the Memorial weekend. While waiting on approval, he comes out on the holiday not prepared. Came in his personal truck and asks my husband if we had a shop vac to vacuum the water in the pan upstairs. How do you not come prepared for a job. Oh, it was cause he was upset that he got called away from his bbq. Anyway, he didn't replace anything and my husband caught him switching wires and asked him what the hell he was doing. Next he puts Freon in the units outside and left the valves open (to drain the Freon). The upstairs unit goes out again by 5/31so we call the warranty to let them know. They schedule a recall for the tech to come out and check but told that they would have me an appointment set for Friday 6/5 and guess what? No show. I call the warranty company to file a complaint of this crooked company and they still tried to reach out to the tech and still no answer. For whatever reason to create issues with my a/c units to continue to make money off the warranty company has caused my family a lot of stress, frustration, and discomfort due to dealing with this Ga heat. On top of that I explained that there are high risk people in my house that cannot handle the heat. There is just no compassion. Stay away from this company!!! read more

I should say I tried to utilize best choice. I had a schedule appointment (which I got off work for) for 1 September between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. I called to check and confirm the appointment at 1:30. They said that it was set between 1-3 and they would call when on the way. Well at 4pm still no one and I tried to call and no answer. I have since tried calling numerous times and no answer plus you can't leave a message because it is full. I understand they are busy but communication on maybe rescheduling or a delay would have been the professional thing to do. Hopefully no one else is in need of AC repairs and has to rely on this company because they might not come. read more

They are big scam, they do credit card fraud and once you repost the charges they follow up with you by saying we don't know how it was charged but we will return the money plus they threaten to shut down your company.No wonder his company is permanently closed. read more

As everyone else has posted recently we've had an issue with this company taking our money and running. AHS assigned them and the next day they marked the job completed. They never showed up to the 3 appointments we spoke to their office about. Ben was responsive until we paid them the $1200 cost share. After giving them 30 hours after the last no call/no show and sending a text that we were going to do this, we filed a fraud claim against our credit card to get the money back. They are no longer accepting our calls. As soon as you see this company assigned to your job please call AHS and demand a different company before they come out. read more

I have American Home Shield, and - unfortunately - they chose to contract through Best Choice Heating & Air in Martinez, GA. Ben from Best Choice was just here 2 weeks ago (on June 8th) to replace the compressor, and the A/C stopped working AGAIN on June 22nd (exactly 2 weeks later), so I had to put in another ticket for a follow-up! Someone was supposed to be here between 8:00-10:00 AM today. It's now 6:30 PM, and no one ever showed. I even called the main office a little after 1 PM (when I was finally able to get through since it's nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone!) to see when (or if!) someone would be here, and I was told, "Let me call the tech to see where he is, and I'll call you right back..." That was over 5 hours ago. No one ever called back, and no one ever showed! Don't EVER use "Best Choice Heating & Air," because they are CLEARLY NOT the "best" choice! I actually had someone (an unbiased 3rd party from another company, with 25+ years experience) look at it last night, and he confirmed what I was pretty sure of - that Ben from Best Choice messed up the installation of the compressor when he put it in 2 weeks ago, which caused it to leak out almost all of the refrigerant (it hadn't been leaking prior to him putting in the new compressor). The compressor isn't even bolted down, which it's supposed to be! I'm not surprised he messed it up so royally, since he was on his cell phone the whole time he was out there!!! I was wondering what kind of lies he would tell about why the A/C stopped working so soon, and I figured it was going to be something that AHS doesn't cover (of course), but I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and fix their mistake. But they won't even show up, or answer their phone! The only reason I'm giving this company a 1-star rating is that it won't let me give any lower rating! Stay away from this company!!!
