So having a warranty I called the people I had payed close to 8500 dollars for the system just over a year ago they came out to check it out . And told me they had to order a controller panel for the camper and a cycle switch for the evaporator or inside the house . To make a sad long shity sorry shorter . Now under warranty they told me they had to order the parts and it would be 4 days . But I had to pay for the service call today . In the amount of $240 . Then told me it would be $ 2800 to 3000 to fix it under warranty. I said a few very nice words and asked why . He told me the parts were under warranty only. Now I had watch this man and test my unit an myself have been hvac certified for years . So I call Georgia Carolina and asked them to come take a look at it. From the very first moment you knew you were in good hands. He didn't hook up gauges . He started by testing the electrical voltage of the system and with in 3 mins found 2 lose wire nuts on this new unit that B@E had over chagered me to install and flooled my carports because it leaked out the freon and had frozen up. But getting Back to the true Experts Georgia Carolina they found 2 lose wire nuts and a bad Schrader valve . Now mind you the same valve Back woods B@E had just been playing with . But the Tech From Georgia Carolina heard it leaking when he was fixing the lose wire nuts . So Georgia Carolina found no parts bad except that valve leaking and he check the speed on the fan for the unit and it had never be changed from its factory prest. For a smaller unit .Now I'm no English major as you can well see. But I have been a Sr chief Marine engineer for many years where I would on everything for hvac. Computer radios diesel engine gear boxs any and everything that could or would go bad . I know good work and workmanship when I see it and also bullsh.t lies. B@E fall in the bullshit lies category. Georgia Carolina fall in the topshelf expert category with great workmenship. When a hvac man puts his gauges on your unit first thing you know your screwed. Voltage is always the first system to check . They even give you a complete read out of what your unit is doing . That in itself cuts out the bull. They would do anything so they wont have to pay for any major repairs or replace them. Both of my neighbors use Riverside Heating and Air Conditioning so I decided to call them. Matt came out to my home and identified the problem. I needed a new coil but they no longer had the part for my AC unit. I purchased a new HVAC system and had it installed 72 hours later by Joe, John and Gavin. They were all professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and very thorough with their work. I will be signing up for their maintenance service plan in six months. Canceled my home warranty and decided not to pay anymore premiums and just put it in my savings account for future home repairs and replacement costs.

I'll caveat this review by noting that I've used B&E for both my home and business for the past…read more2.5yrs and while their customer service can be lacking depending on the technician you speak with, their service has always been timely. However, we recently had an incident concerning a B&E employee who brought along an unauthorized person, which led to some of my power tools going missing. The employee brought this fellow along on a service call to my business. To be clear, this fellow was NOT an employee of B&E. I have several cameras in my business and video footage shows the individual tampering with one of my cameras and taking advantage of the time he had alone in my storage area while the employee took care of collecting payment for services. It is possible that the employee himself had no idea this was occurring, however, he brought this individual along and with that, comes a level of responsibility for this whole debacle. The problem was quickly resolved by the owner, Michael Morgensen, who took full responsibility for the actions of his employee and the fellow who was unauthorized to be there. There was no need for litigation, but as a lesson I'd like to pass on to you: please be sure to ask your service techs to show credentials or provide proof that all persons are authorized to be there and always monitor them to the best of your abilities.

Recently the thermostat started turning off automatically, most likely due to low batteries. Due to the way that they installed it, I was unable to get the battery compartment open and was forced to call them to come out and service it. It cost $99 dollars for them to come out, which is annoying but typical, and I was assured on the phone that should be my only expense since all of my equipment is still under warranty. The technician came by this morning, and after examining the equipment he said he thought it was a low battery issue. He then told me that he could see that when they installed the thermostat, they also installed a power line that would eliminate the need to deal with batteries at all, they just never hooked it up (and remember, this is all Doc Savage purchased and installed equipment - the "they" is Doc Savage). NOBODY even told me that was an option when they installed it, or asked me what I would prefer. The technician finished his work and told me it would be $99 for the visit, which I knew, and then $74 for actually fixing the issue. I told him that his office told me over the phone yesterday that all my equipment is still under warranty, to which he replied that he would need to call in and check. He went outside and placed his call, and returned with the line that I opened this review with: "It is under warranty, but my manager still insisted I charge you something." WHAT. THE. F***. He said in an attempt to "meet me halfway", they would bring the extra charge down from $74 to $9. I don't like to take out my frustrations with a company on their rank and file, so I just bit the bullet and paid the extra $9 (for a total of $108), and I hope Doc Savage enjoys it, because it is the last money they will EVER see from me. This entire experience should and could have been avoided in the first place if they had installed the unit properly, and/or asked my preference as to whether I wanted battery or hardwired power, and then to essentially steal from me by admitting that they shouldn't be charging me at all, but the manager insisted??! Yeah I'm done with this company, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid them as well. The technicians are nice, personable people, but there's something deeply wrong with the management.

Being a business owner, I made a call to my friend that works for Carrier in Syracuse, New York. He told me they had a bad update to give it a week or two and it will be fixed. Sure enough the update came through and it fixed the problem. Not sure how a Carrier dealer would not know that and try to charge me for this. I recommend steering clear if you need a professional to repair your system.

The onsite manager, Lewis, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. His crew included Titus and Joseph were fantastic as well. They also installed a large 2 unit HVAC in our previous home in 2014. We were extremely pleased as well. They are extremely thorough - insuring the duct work is adequate for the home, units are installed correctly and take the time to make sure the homeowner is informed as the project goes along. Mr. Blackwell was out each day to monitor progress and at the completion of the installation to make sure everything was in order. We also have used Creighton Laircey to service our HAVAC systems since 2014.
