First time at this years 2026 Smoke-onos. Great time at the evening before and the day of the event. I wish they held it a couple weeks later to give the weather to warm up. That being said they offered two bands the first night was cheeseball the second band much better as well as a good DJ. We stayed at Jon half hour away I wish there were better options for accommodations. Additionally, we stayed 3nights at this house which left much to be desired. It's a good one maybe two night stay but not worth 3 nights. Vendors were great and undecided if I'd come back. My thoughts are to ho to a different cigar fest rather then just do the same one over. We will see but at this point I give the event itself a 5 star but the Poconos a 1 star feel very run down and in need of a huge refresh. read more

The business, itself, is one of THE BEST cigar/ restaurant lounges I have ever had dinner and a smoke at. The food is off the charts, with the quality of the meats, and seafood they select, to it's preparation, and it's taste. From what I've read about it in cigar publications, 70% of it's restaurant business are non-smokers. And that says a LOT about their food, and ever changing menu. The food is so good, that non-smokers are willing to tolerate cigar smoke, just to have dinner there. I'd say thats an impressive compliment to their chef's. The service was good, although sometimes they get caught up in the "chaos" when the restaurant gets really busy, like during their "Smoke-onos in the Poconos" Cigar Festival, but that's totally understandable because they're basically hosting over 1,000 festival goer's because that festival is THAT successful. I call it Disney World for cigar smokers. It's a fun event. I did, however, have one problem at the event this year, an event I have been attending since it first started in 2024. They offer an included breakfast buffet on the last day, Sunday morning, 4/17/26. It's included with the type of ticket I had purchased. After sitting down to eat my breakfast, they asked me for the "breakfast coupon". They never had these at previous events, they just checked our event wrist bands, and breakfast was served. I didn't have it because I didn't even know there was one. I explained to the GENERAL MANAGER - SCOTT MCMACKEN, that my coupon was buried in my luggage, and my truck was parked down the hill, and at a distance, and because of my physical disabilities, and all the walking around we had to do over the long weekend, I informed him I was in a lot of pain in my spine, and hips, and walking down the hill, and then climbing back up, wasn't an option for me, unless I'm leaving. I had 2 different items on me to prove, beyond any doubt, that I was a ticket holder with this breakfast buffet included. His response, "I don't want to see those, you need to have the coupon, or you have to pay for breakfast". And that was it, after I had already started eating. I just want to "thank" him, personally, for his total lack of courtesy, and discretion, and for making me pay another $22, after spending $350 on an event ticket, and the additional $1300 I spent on cigars, and other items, in their cigar store, and at the event. I've never been treated like that, by ANY business, when my disabilities came into play during a discussion, of any kind, regarding doing business with anyone. The $22 was nothing, at all, to pay. It was his lack of discretion, when I mentioned why I couldn't walk to my truck to get the coupon, and his total lack of concern for my needs, when I offered him the pass card I was wearing around my neck at the event, and his flat out refusal to even look at the digital ticket proving that I was a Super VIP ticket holder. Very surprising treatment, for ANYBODY, for a business like this. But this is just one person, thank God, which doesn't reflect on the rest of the service, and professionalism, of the rest of the staff. Only ever purchased cigars from them online, had no idea they had such a nice setup here. Stopped in for dinner on a recent work trip and was impressed with the layout, cigar room and bar. Ordered the fajitas special which in hindsight wasn't a great choice, just very generic, would opt for a burger or a diff entree next time around. Service has always been hit or miss and the managment leaves something to be desired, but we have continued to go because we enjoy the food and the ambiance. Last week we went for a little date and the service was terrrible. No one (including the hostess who appeared to be having a friendly discussion with the bartender) acknowledged us when we walked in--the hostess clearly saw us, the place wasn't busy, but she continued talking to the bartender before finally walking over to us as if we were interupting her conversation. Our server was friendly, but our food came 20 minutes before our first drinks. The wait between food and the second drinks was over 45 minutes--during which point NO ONE (bartenders, other servers, bus people, etc) even stopped to see if we needed a water refill. We eventally flagged down the bartender who acted irritated when we asked for our server and said if we already closed out our check our server may have moved on. We reported that we had yet to get our check so obviously we hadn't closed it out. Someone eventually brought our check and a few minutes after we paid as we were getting ready to stand up and go, the orginal server returned to clear our plates (that's right, none of our dishes or glasses had been cleared at any point.) Our original server stated things had gotten very busy and that was why no one was able to come back to our table. This was said as if it was a valid reason to leave customers unattended for that long (also--the resetaurant was nearly empty as we had gone for a midday date in the middle of the week.) At NO POINT did anyone apologize or even express accounability. To recap: both the hostess and the bartender seemed irritated and annoyed with us for getting their attention. Our server clearly forgot about us (where she was during all that time I have no idea because again, the place was dead). Once it was realized that we had been forgotten about, a good manager would have come out and apologized or at least acknowledge--nope. No apologies at all. We came to sit outside and enjoy the weather at a place known for good food. Instead we left with the mindset that we won't be back. read more

What bothered me about the whole thing was the bartender, a very nice guy, LICKED his fingers when pulling my receipts apart. THAT IS DISGUSTING. I came to the Smoke-onos festival, met the owner and he's a very humble, elegant and intellectual man. Service at this place is above and beyond from all the staff no exceptions. The beer selection is great and the liquor collection is even better. I tried their Pressed Cuban Sandwich and it was the best I've tried out of Miami. Restaurant is clean and perfect for business meetings, marketing events and dates. If you sit at the bar Kelly will take good care of you. What was even more outstanding is the honesty from their staff in their food and drink selections. Next time I'm in PA I'll definitely come back. This is definitely a perfect spot. read more

In from out of town, I was excited to see this place. The food was great! I had the filet and mashed potatoes. It was cooked perfectly, and a nice cut of meat. They have a nice beer selection and the service was even better. Katie, was very attentive but still allowed me some space. However, the cigars were a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! I bought what should have been a couple of nice cigars, but weren't! I bought an Upmann barber pole that should have been a nice cigar. I don't know if it's how they take care of them, or a bad bunch of Upmann cigars, but it was rock hard and hard to draw, so much so that I just snubbed it out and tried my CAO Anejo that I bought. When we got there, the covered dining was reserved for a private party, and we were pointed over into a grassy area with not enough seating for attendees. The Cuban sandwich was a bit dry (not enough mustard) and the pickles were too chunky/thick for the sandwich. It was a limited menu for Valentine's Day so no fries, and instead I had corn tortilla chips without a dip. The sandwich was thin enough to have been placed in a plancha before serving but the outer crust of the bread didn't seem to have any butter on it and lacked that golden crispness that Cuban sandwiches are known for. My meal was still good but in comparison to the atmosphere and all the positives about the place, it was underwhelming. I bought 4 sticks, two of which I smoked there and two I smoked at home the next night. The humidor, smoking lounge and everything surrounding the smoking experience is a 5-star rating. Review based on experience at 1230pm on 7/2/23 Made a reservation (days in advance) and noted the presence of a minor along with the party. At no time did the staff member acknowledge or provide clarity they are a " 21 & up" establishment. We also requested to be seated outside, again without issue. In most higher end establishments, going through reservations for special requests or accommodations is simply a standard of practice. Based off of our experience, that is not the case for this restaurant. We arrive , a party of 5 + 1 child, wait at the hostess stand for any of the employees to acknowledge us. Finally, a stale faced young woman proceeds to tell us 1. No kids stating " smoke is bad for their lungs " and 2. No outside seating " possibility " of rain showers. This employee never greeted us, never asked for reservations, and passed judgment on us. Perhaps the worst show of front of house hospitality that I've ever seen. read more

As a former bar owner thinks happen and should be judged by how quickly they resolve the problems. For me and many who attended, they far exceeded my expectations, some people love to bitch and complain. They also have a cool outdoor area with corn hole and sometimes drinks being served out there are well. Great place to have a drink and get a bite, however if you aren't a smoker I would be cautious, I am not a smoker but beat cancer as recent as 2 years ago, and it happend to be throat cancer. Never the less I will visit them again, because of the service and how accommodating and friendly the staff is. The lady at the bar notice how uncomfortable I was being that I was surrounded by smokers, eventhough she didn't know about my health issue, she offer me to be move at a table that was well ventilated (opened air). Her action alone will have me return back to the establishment, and possibly have a drink or 2. This is a great place to chill. And the young manager is very welcoming as well. This review unfortunately has nothing to do with the food, drinks or cigars. All of those looked great from a distance and I can't wait to come down and try it. This review is about the character of the People working there and how I was treated. I broke down in a tractor trailer in front of this establishment. It was a coolant issue on one of our hottest days so far. Dispatch asked if any customers in the area would have water for my truck that they could spare. So I walked into Best Cigar just to ask if I could have some water for the truck. These guys were great. "Not a problem at all, hold on" was the response I got. I waited a few minutes chatting with staff and looking at the great food and cigars offered. A few minutes later the gentleman came out with 5 gallons for me because he knew it was a big truck. I don't know what I expected but a whole 5 gallons wasn't it. They helped me above and beyond my expectations. Thank you guys. The General Manager Eric Wagner constantly checks our table to make sure we are comfortable and enjoying the food, drinks and especially service. Such a great experience! My BF is a big cigar guy and had been dying to try this place out. I on the other hand was not as excited; I am not a smoker and hate leaving these places smelling like a walking cohiba. I was pleasantly surprised as the ventilation is great there, actually everything was great; the food, drinks , entertainment, and service (Kyle and Eric truly go above and beyond). We were there Saturday night and then again Sunday afternoon because we liked it that much. The atmosphere at the restaurant it nice a little higher class feel like you never think you are in Hazleton area. At all the food is prehospital the atmosphere is nice. The air flow is outstanding it is a truly outstanding cigar bar. They do have amazing outdoor patio in the warmer months in Pennsylvania which is short lived. We're not smokers, we won a gift certificate and decided to try it. Everyone was very friendly, the humidor and cigar area was fascinating.
