Really fabulous dining experience. One of the few places that was open late on a Wednesday. We arrived about 8:15pm and were greeted and sat right away. The host/server was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Offered suggestions on drinks. We ended up getting a few plates to share instead of entrees. Everything was very delicious. The lettuce wedge was a surprise hit for such a simple dish. The restaurant is cozy, with bar seating and then a number of high tops around the perimeter. Would highly recommend hitting this place up!

I found this place on Yelp. It was fabulous. Nice draft selection and specialty cocktail menu. The chicken nacho dish was enormous. The spicy mussel entree was equally delicious. Chris was our bartender and he was so friendly. Great spot to visit while visiting Jim Thorpe for the weekend. Small space but huge on taste and ambience. Would highly recommend. Will most definitely return.

Great little spot nestled right in the heart of Jim Thorpe. Order the nachos.... Massive serving and well worth it. We ordered 2 brisket sandwich , wings, chicken caprese sandwich, and had the nachos as app. With drinks ....beer or course... our bill was 120.00 for 4 people. Service was fast and very on top of it. Give it a shot!

After biking 28 miles on the lehigh Gorge Trail, we looked for a nice place to rest up and have a peaceful dinner. We found it. There are a lot of options in this town so if you're looking for one that's got terrific food and not overly fancy, this is it. The special of the evening was meatloaf. Highly recommended by the server and did not disappoint. The meatloaf came in a big slice wrapped with bacon. The mashed potatoes were mixed with some of the beef and they were outstanding. The asparagus that came on the side was also top-notch. There are options to sit at the bar or around the edges in tables. Definitely worth your time and money

Chicken nachos- something so simple yet so good!!

Ouros isn't just a place to grab a bite, it's a whole experience. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how well the staff works together. There's this effortless rhythm between them, almost like they're moving to the same beat. Orders flow smoothly, dishes arrive without a hitch, and you can tell everyone has each other's backs. And then there's Trish, the bartender -- the star of the show. Watching her behind the bar is like watching someone command a dance floor. She moves with confidence and style, shaking cocktails, sliding glasses, and chatting with guests all in one beautifully choreographed motion. It's honestly mesmerizing. You don't just get a drink from Trish; you get a performance. Great food, great atmosphere, and a team that works in perfect harmony. Ouros nails it. Highly recommended.

Cold Saturday, so we did a quick search and Ouros came up. It looked promising, but was underwhelmed. We were sat on the second floor with a wobbly table. Our waitress was super nice, and service was quick. As far as the food, just ok. Loaded nachos, wagu sliders, and chicken Caesar salad. $25 for the two sliders, a little pricey if you ask me. Better luck next time.

Cute spot to grab a bite to eat in Jim Thorpe. The menu is pretty diverse with options ranging from mussels to gnocchi to chimichanga. The service was great and food came out quickly. The portions for the nachos and pulled pork fries were very generous and can serve a large group of people.

I was visiting the area and stumbled upon this quaint restaurant in Jim Thorpe. I was greeted by a friendly hostess who informed us the kitchen was a little backed up and would we be willing to wait 1/2 hr to place our food order? I said yes, and asked if we could be seated and order drinks first. We were seated immediately.( I really appreciated that this business gave us the option ahead of time.) We waited approximately 15 mins and a really nice server named Matt came over and took our drink, and food order. This man was running around clearing tables, setting up tables, taking orders, running trays of drinks to customers, and delivering food orders etc. Matt was amazing! Our drinks were served right away. The bar itself is very cool, and is the highlight of this establishment. My boyfriend ordered a Signature Cocktail. Blueberry Rye Smash- Jim Beam Straight Rye Whiskey, Blueberry Purée, Fresh Lime, topped with Ginger-ale. I ordered a Guinness on tap. This place definitely knows how to pour a proper Guinness. I ordered their Smoked Brisket Sandwich-Smoked Brisket, Grilled Pineapple, Bacon, Brown Sugar Glaze, served on toasted Sourdough Bread. It was really delicious. The grilled pineapple added a nice touch of sweetness along with the smokey flavors of the bacon and smoked brisket. The two cheeses on their toasted sourdough bread made this sandwich complete. My sandwich came with fries. My boyfriend ordered their Pork Sliders-Two Slow Roasted Pulled-pork Sliders, BBQ Sauce, Toasted Bun, side of Coleslaw, with French Fries. His Pork Sliders were very good. The meat was juicy and had lots of flavor. His dish also came with fries. My bf thoroughly enjoyed his food. We did not have any dessert because we were full. I noticed the bartender made homemade cream topping in a jar for her drinks. The vibe was cool, and relaxing. They also have an upstairs for dining, but I prefer downstairs which is much nicer. This place does a really nice job accommodating everyone. Ouros Restaurant does check ID's because they serve Alcohol. There is a ramp for handicapped. Parking is a whole other story. All of Jim Thorpe has a parking problem. I would definitely return and try some other dishes and signature cocktails.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

So I wanted to check it out and then I read that they have a bar in the house open to the public. The house is very cool looking from the outside. It's lit up pretty nice and there's a parking lot half a block away. When you walk in you notice it is a huge old school house like hundreds of years old. And there's a little bar set up in a corner. After you get your drink, you can find a seat somewhere in the house and enjoy your drink. There's also a little board games, a fireplace , and a piano if you choose to play it. I had a great time at this mansion. I think we had about three drinks so I got a nice little buzz on. Also, the bartender was very nice, I do not remember her name but I told her I would be writing a review and she got really happy with that. She also told me a spooky ghost story from one of the rooms in the house. I won't spoil it but it was a good story. I would definitely return to this house for a drink and possibly to stay for the weekend because it is also a bed and breakfast. Also they do a murder mystery weekend there but I did not experience that.

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

The restaurant is tucked into the hand-built stone rowhouses, surrounded by vibrant colors, artwork, and even a few birds outside the windows. It caught my eye right away, and I'm glad it did. Note for diners: Moya is closed Monday-Wednesday, and I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. I visited on a very busy weekend in Jim Thorpe and managed to get seated around 4:30pm on Saturday without one, but the restaurant filled quickly and I think I got lucky. Inside, the space is eclectic and beautiful--rich colors on the walls, abstract art throughout (which I later learned is by the chef's wife, who co-owns the restaurant and has her studio in the same building). The atmosphere felt upscale yet comfortable, and the quiet dining room was perfect for good conversation. Our total bill came to $95.90 before tip, and it was worth every penny. Moya's menu is designed for sharing, and that's exactly what we did. Drinks: Pineapple Cosmo ($13) - perfectly sweet without being over the top, even enjoyed by a bourbon drinker. Apple Brandy Sidecar ($14) - well-balanced and beautifully made. Plates we shared: Burrata ($18) - served warm on focaccia with an olive & herb tapenade. My first time trying burrata, and I loved it. The warmth was unexpected but wonderful, and the tapenade set it off perfectly. Fresh Gnocchi ($29) - with jumbo lump crab meat and fresh tomato cream sauce. The gnocchi were perfectly dense without being heavy, and the crab chunks were huge--bigger than the gnocchi themselves! So fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Prosciutto Salad ($18) - spinach, dried figs, gorgonzola, spiced candied nuts, balsamic glaze. Generous prosciutto on top, and the dried figs added such a clever texture and depth. A lighter dish that paired beautifully with the richness of the burrata and gnocchi. What stood out most about Moya's food was its simplicity. No over-complication, no excess of ingredients--just perfectly chosen flavors that worked in harmony and allowed each element to shine. Every dish felt thoughtful and intentional. Service was excellent--attentive without being intrusive. The bathrooms were clean, the vibe inside was intimate, and everything about the evening felt special. No on-site parking, but there's plenty of street and community parking nearby, and Jim Thorpe is a lovely walking town. My suggestion? Spend the afternoon strolling through town, enjoy dinner at Moya, then take a romantic walk down to the train tracks and water afterward. Moya isn't an everyday dinner spot for me, but it's absolutely on my list for celebrating something special--or just celebrating each other.

The first thing that we noticed that was interesting was the eerie music playing. At first I thought it wasn't bad, but the longer we stayed the creepier the restaurant became. More people left and the unlit street outside was pretty creepy as well. Drinks were decent but service was surprisingly slow and seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday night which I thought was weird. Our appetizer was the melted mozzarella on focaccia with chimichurri and honey (too much of both). The bread was super soggy and cheese was half melted and wet as well. We decided to split the side of potatoes and the half chicken. Chicken was seasoned fine but the texture seemed almost raw. The potatoes presentation and taste were not great and there was not much flavor. Everything was wet in the worst way possible. We were in Jim Thorpe for the weekend and I booked this restaurant hoping for something special. It ended up being our least favorite meal unfortunately. But also our most expensive meal. We loved Notch Eight Craft and Marion Hose Bar.
