By far the best meal we had during our three days/nights in Jim Thorpe. Six of us dined at Ouros and all six of us absolutely loved our meals. I had the mushroom swiss burger and it was absolutely fantastic. The burger was phenomenal. I also had the Lemon Drop, and it was delicious. Our server was very nice and accommodating. We had two children with us and our server was kind enough to make sure that the kids had their meals as soon as they were done being prepared. My daughter had the black bean quesadillas and loved them. There isn't a kids menu but they do have multiple options (off menu) that they'll make for kids who can't find anything that they want on the regular menu. Really fabulous dining experience. One of the few places that was open late on a Wednesday. We arrived about 8:15pm and were greeted and sat right away. The host/server was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Offered suggestions on drinks. We ended up getting a few plates to share instead of entrees. Everything was very delicious. The lettuce wedge was a surprise hit for such a simple dish. The restaurant is cozy, with bar seating and then a number of high tops around the perimeter. Eating at Ouros was a masterclass in how to alienate customers. Not only did our food arrive ice-cold, but our waiter immediately went into hiding. They never returned to check on us a single time, leaving us stranded with empty glasses for the duration of the meal.When we finally tried to voice our complaints about the neglect, the staff treated it like a joke. A waiter actually stood in the background snickering while we explained the issues.
