Decided to go to this restaurant last minute for dinner, and was not disappointed! The drinks were very flavorful, the dinner was TO DIE FOR, and the staff were so friendly. The vibe of the place was very bar-esc, but classy. We had the Asiago Gnocchi & Shrimp Sausage meals.

Really fabulous dining experience. One of the few places that was open late on a Wednesday. We arrived about 8:15pm and were greeted and sat right away. The host/server was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Offered suggestions on drinks. We ended up getting a few plates to share instead of entrees. Everything was very delicious. The lettuce wedge was a surprise hit for such a simple dish. The restaurant is cozy, with bar seating and then a number of high tops around the perimeter. Would highly recommend hitting this place up!

I found this place on Yelp. It was fabulous. Nice draft selection and specialty cocktail menu. The chicken nacho dish was enormous. The spicy mussel entree was equally delicious. Chris was our bartender and he was so friendly. Great spot to visit while visiting Jim Thorpe for the weekend. Small space but huge on taste and ambience. Would highly recommend. Will most definitely return.

Great little spot nestled right in the heart of Jim Thorpe. Order the nachos.... Massive serving and well worth it. We ordered 2 brisket sandwich , wings, chicken caprese sandwich, and had the nachos as app. With drinks ....beer or course... our bill was 120.00 for 4 people. Service was fast and very on top of it. Give it a shot!

After biking 28 miles on the lehigh Gorge Trail, we looked for a nice place to rest up and have a peaceful dinner. We found it. There are a lot of options in this town so if you're looking for one that's got terrific food and not overly fancy, this is it. The special of the evening was meatloaf. Highly recommended by the server and did not disappoint. The meatloaf came in a big slice wrapped with bacon. The mashed potatoes were mixed with some of the beef and they were outstanding. The asparagus that came on the side was also top-notch. There are options to sit at the bar or around the edges in tables. Definitely worth your time and money

Ouros isn't just a place to grab a bite, it's a whole experience. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how well the staff works together. There's this effortless rhythm between them, almost like they're moving to the same beat. Orders flow smoothly, dishes arrive without a hitch, and you can tell everyone has each other's backs. And then there's Trish, the bartender -- the star of the show. Watching her behind the bar is like watching someone command a dance floor. She moves with confidence and style, shaking cocktails, sliding glasses, and chatting with guests all in one beautifully choreographed motion. It's honestly mesmerizing. You don't just get a drink from Trish; you get a performance. Great food, great atmosphere, and a team that works in perfect harmony. Ouros nails it. Highly recommended.

Cold Saturday, so we did a quick search and Ouros came up. It looked promising, but was underwhelmed. We were sat on the second floor with a wobbly table. Our waitress was super nice, and service was quick. As far as the food, just ok. Loaded nachos, wagu sliders, and chicken Caesar salad. $25 for the two sliders, a little pricey if you ask me. Better luck next time.

Cute spot to grab a bite to eat in Jim Thorpe. The menu is pretty diverse with options ranging from mussels to gnocchi to chimichanga. The service was great and food came out quickly. The portions for the nachos and pulled pork fries were very generous and can serve a large group of people.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

The first thing that we noticed that was interesting was the eerie music playing. At first I thought it wasn't bad, but the longer we stayed the creepier the restaurant became. More people left and the unlit street outside was pretty creepy as well. Drinks were decent but service was surprisingly slow and seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday night which I thought was weird. Our appetizer was the melted mozzarella on focaccia with chimichurri and honey (too much of both). The bread was super soggy and cheese was half melted and wet as well. We decided to split the side of potatoes and the half chicken. Chicken was seasoned fine but the texture seemed almost raw. The potatoes presentation and taste were not great and there was not much flavor. Everything was wet in the worst way possible. We were in Jim Thorpe for the weekend and I booked this restaurant hoping for something special. It ended up being our least favorite meal unfortunately. But also our most expensive meal. We loved Notch Eight Craft and Marion Hose Bar.

The pub embraces the rich coal-region history that inspired its name, making it a perfect stop while exploring this beautiful mountain town. One of the highlights is their large covered outdoor deck, which is ideal for summer dining. Even better, they're prepared for every season--they can enclose the deck during rainy weather and have a heating system in place to keep guests comfortable during the colder months. The day we visited happened to be Trivia Day, which made for a lively and entertaining atmosphere. It's easy to see why both locals and visitors enjoy spending time here. The pub has a welcoming, laid-back vibe that's perfect whether you're stopping in for a meal, drinks with friends, or just taking a break from exploring town. We started with the Tater Kegs--oversized tater tots stuffed with bacon, cheddar cheese, and chives, served with zesty horseradish sauce and sour cream. They arrived piping hot, perfectly crispy, and absolutely delicious. A great appetizer to share. For entrées, I couldn't resist the Shepherd's Pie. Ground beef, onions, carrots, and peas are simmered in a rich gravy and topped with beautifully piped mashed potatoes baked until golden brown. It was hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Molly Maguire Burger loaded with peppers, mushrooms, onions, and bacon. I added pepper jack cheese, and it was definitely the right choice. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. A special shoutout to our server, Abbey, who was outstanding from start to finish. Not only was she attentive with drink refills and checking on us throughout the meal, but she also took the time to recommend other sights and attractions around Jim Thorpe. Her friendly personality and local knowledge made our visit even more enjoyable. Between the delicious food, fun atmosphere, historic setting, and exceptional service, Molly Maguires delivered a memorable experience. If you're visiting Jim Thorpe, do yourself a favor and stop in. We wanted to enjoy it. We wanted to love it. We are up here all the time and it's always great to have a nice spot to go to for dinner. We *wanted* to love it. We did not. Let's look at where things went wrong. The service: SLOW. Friendly enough, but S-L-O-W. It was relatively early on a Sunday and there were only a few tables occupied. And there were four servers. The appetizers: we got the clams casino (they were fine--too bready but the flavor was good) and the burrata. I've never had burrata that you had to struggle to cut through. Puzzling. And it was served with what was clearly store-bought pita bread (an odd choice for burrata)... which was cold. The entrees: I ordered the 4 oz. filet with mushroom risotto and asparagus. My partner ordered a bone-in ribeye with a twice-baked potato and green beans. My MIL got the short ribs, and also got the risotto and asparagus. The short ribs were good. Everything else? Marginal, at best. My filet was cooked to order, but was mostly flavorless. I ordered Bernaise sauce to go with it--there are three sauce choices on the menu--and it was ice cold and coagulated. The "risotto" was just rice (I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they made it from scratch) with a few mushrooms in it (loose grains, no creaminess; this was not risotto). I received four spears of asparagus (which was overcooked and largely inedible). My partner's FIRST ribeye, which he ordered "medium rare, leaning toward rare, was cooked to well-done (it was straight up brown through and through). He sent it back, and the second one came out cooked slightly less (there was a little pink in there) but the meat was in three pieces and the server just scraped it onto the plate where they had left his sides. Speaking of... the twice-baked potato was definitely cooked (more than twice) and reheated. He had to ask for a side of sour cream to get it to just "okay." I'm told the green beans were cooked perfectly. Win? The desserts: there was a "lemon tart" which tasted a lot like the cherry cheese pie recipe from the side of a Philadelphia cream cheese box (not bad, but anyone can make that at home), and then THE CINNAMON BUN, which had been built up to be the best thing on the menu. Now, it was HUGE--the size of my head. But it was dry and cold and not remotely worth the calories. Oh! We each ordered coffee--two cappuccinos and one espresso--and each was barely lukewarm when it got to the table. To be fair, the coffee *was* good, but it would have been better if it was, you know, hot. Did I say how much we wanted to enjoy this? The building is beautiful and the owners have clearly spend a lot of time and money on it and the dining room, which was lovely. But if they plan to make a real go of this, they have A LOT of work to do. They've only been open for a month or so, so maybe all of this can be chalked up to "kinks in the system." I really hope they work it out.
