I spent so much money for them clean everything and only 28 days later when I have other people come take a look they said it was filthy and cleaned it for me with proper machinery. AND CHARGED LESS! Fantastic service! We had John come today to clean the vent line from our grill to the outdoors (a 10 ft line) and then our drier vent (two floors above us). John was very clear with what he was going to do and how long it would take. Above all, he was confident and obviously knew what he was doing, friendly and very courteous. He speaks English but naturally speaks Russian, for a couple of our more complex questions, we used the Google translator app and it worked like a charm. Highly recommend this service. Above and Beyond! We live in a loft building and have a complicated dryer vent, most of which is inaccessible except in our space and the roof (a 25' + length). The technicians (John and Thomas) were friendly and followed COVID safety protocols with masks and foot coverings. After losing a cleaning brush in the vent they returned in a timely manner to complete the cleaning another day. This involved opening the sheetrock in our bathroom ceiling for access to the vent. They completed the cleaning, showing us photos of the clogs and cleaned up in the bathroom extremely well. They covered the access hole with a panel to make future cleaning much easier! The dryer diagnosis (LG dryer) said the vent flow was low, so we called up 'Best Cleaning 4 U' to come by for an estimate and cleaning. The technician gave us a reasonable cash price so we went with them. The technician was very courteous and took off his shoes while coming into the house. He was very polite and took great care in his work. He spent about an hour and a half cleaning out my dryer vent, which was very clogged as the previous owner did not do any maintenance on it. They came hooked up a smallshop vac to my central unit"to sucked all the dirt and debris" and blowed air into the vents with a "Small Air compressor" didint even removed the air vent guards. They sticked the air compressor nozzle thru the guard and blew some air in saying that was going to dislodge the dirt and that the small shop vac was going to suck it. I asked why they weren't removing the air vent guards and using the spinning brush like they said they would do and they told me that they didn't have the proper equipment to do that and that they might damage the flexible hose vent. After all of My Complaining the guy used a drill and attached a spinning brush to somewhat clean the furnace.Was not expecting this from a company that was almost charging me $600 for vent cleaning on a 1000 sq ft condominium. Homeowners BEWARE! If you are going to offer a service you should have the proper Equipment to do the job. When people look for professionals to do a job they looking for quality. Dishonest, and a Scam. I hired these guys to clean my dryer vents for $100. When i first scheduled the appointment, they told me a specific day in the afternoon, but came that morning when i was not home. Mike agreed to come back at a time that was good for me. When he finished "cleaning" the vent, we tried the dryer to make sure everything was fine, but there was a very strong gas smell coming from my dryer. Mike said that he could fix the gas smell by cleaning out the dryer, for another $100. I agreed, because i hoped the job would get done the right way. Although everything seemed fine when they were ready to go, the dryer would not work once he left. He also broke the vent on the outside of my house. All this is in addition to the loads of lint they left on the floor near my dryer vent for me to clean. Unfortunately, I had already paid them. They said they would come back to fix but never did. This company is a complete scam and dishonest. They ignore my phone calls, texts, and voicemails. Awesome company in my experience! Used them for the first time recently to clean dryer vent and chimney in our brownstone in Manhattan. Neither job had been performed here in decades. Drying time now seems to be cut down to at least about a third the time it was previously taking to dry a load of clothes (which is awesome!). I recommend looking into getting this service done for any homeowners who are experiencing using their dryer and feeling like it's just taking way too long to dry clothes. We haven't had the need to use our fireplace since the service but, from what I saw of Mike working here at our house, I have no doubt that the cleaning of the chimney was done effectively. Communicating with this company - by phone and email - was no problem. Very straightforward people to deal with. Isn't it always refreshing to work with a company that takes pride in their service, yet is down to earth and doesn't seem to make a bigger deal out of it than it really needs to be? Mike came, as scheduled, to perform an in-person estimate in advance. $50 cash or check for the in-person estimate, which is applied to your balance if you hire them. No funny business at all around payments and charges. Again, very straightforward. Mike then returned on his own to perform the service, at the day and time we scheduled. He was more than capable, had all the tools and equipment, and worked diligently - dare I say, vigorously - without a break until the job was completed and everything was explained thoroughly. About 3.5 hours in total, and more than worthwhile, considering the time we've already cut down on drying our clothes! Scheduling was easy and laid back. Not a pushy group of folks, and they seem to have a great "bedside manner" around helping to schedule the appointment at a time that works for the client. And, I really can't speak highly enough about Mike. What a nice, professional, honest, hard-working guy! He had no problem answering any and all of my questions, explained things to me he didn't have to, and was really interested in giving me knowledge around the work he was performing, which adds to our value as homeowners. OK, I don't want to go on and on, hopefully anyone reading gets the point that you should just hire these guys if you are in need of any of their services. Just a couple more notes; he was so thorough in his work! While working on the dryer vent, he noticed that part of the aluminum tubing of the vent leading out of the dryer was bent/damaged, and replaced it with the appropriate length of aluminum tubing, which he had on hand, explaining that, if he didn't do this, much of the air flow would still be blocked. $20 additional for the length of tubing he replaced, which was the only amount that my final balance ended up over the estimated cost. And lastly, he came fully prepared, mentally, to get the job done. Climbing up and down fire escape, climbing up narrow ladder - with equipment in hand - to get up to our roof, etc. Doesn't seem like any standard obstacles will stop these guys from getting the job done - as I've read in reviews online about other companies. Best to request an experienced technician. They sent a very young tech to my building. He broke a duct in my neighbors apartment. In my apartment he didn't fully attach the dryer duct to the outside vent before he left so I had to fix it myself. He also took at 45 minute break to get something to eat during his evening visit so it was about 10pm by the time he left. He was hasty and not paying attention to his work. When they did something wrong for our particular situation, they were responsive and corrected their mistake after we explained what was wrong. Do not use this service. I scheduled vent cleaning more than a month in advance. The technician was 1.5 hours late requested payment (in cash) before the work was started. The person scheduling the appointment, Sasha, neglected to mention that they use a large loud compressor which has to be vented. The technician wanted to leave it in a common hallway in our apartment building which is not practical because of the noise and lack of ventilation. Then he said he would clean the vents without a compressor. When I called Sasha to complain and cancel (she should have explained the details and specifications of the service) she told me I would have to pay $50 cancellation fee and when I told her absolutely not, she hung up on me. I had to threaten calling the police to get the technician out of the building. Also, the fee is different if you pay cash or check/charge (additional 13%). Totally shady. read more
