Dwight, Malcolm, and DJ are just the best. These guys are awesome and would give them 10 stars. We were moving from Seattle to Sacramento in a month and was deciding which was the best method to move. It was an extremely stressful time and situation and decided having movers would be the most stress free. And we do not regret it at all. We contacted them about a month before our move and was able to schedule a date. We were able to talk to them on the phone and was emailing all throughout the weeks and days before the move. We packed all our stuff that we can in boxes, and left the big appliances and furniture to them. These included our TV, dressers, couch, peloton, and king size bed. We were all packed the day of the move and they took about three hours to load the truck and pack the remaining items. We lived in the Central District in an apartment complex and it went very smoothly. The delivery would have been completed in two days, but we added an extra day due to logistics. During the move in day in Sacramento, they did a fantastic job putting all the boxes and items in the rooms. One of the best decisions we have ever made. Malcolm, Dwight, and DJ were great! I was referred to them by "Can't Stop Moving" who told me they had worked there and then branched out into their own business, and I'm really glad I got that recommendation. They'll really take care of you and your possessions, and are very friendly, easy to get along with, and have upbeat attitudes. Communication: Very responsive via email and text, and phone as well. I had an up-in-the-air moving date, and did a lot of back-and-forth emailing on timing, and they were very patient and accommodating. Handling/Care: They laid out lots of moving rugs and runners on my hardwood floors as to not damage the flooring. They carefully wrapped my bare, un-dismantled furniture in moving blankets, and nothing was damaged, including gently handling very large and heavy gym mirrors that I couldn't wrap myself. Speed: They were very fast, strong, and efficient! Didn't loiter around in order to unfairly charge you for more time. Rate: Their rate was very reasonable for the amount of people to move you and the equipment they brought (truck ramps, handcarts, tape, blankets, etc.). I believe it's a 1-hr minimum, and you pay for the time it takes them to drive to your place, which seems to be a policy with other companies too. Timing: If you have an afternoon move (they offer two blocks: morning and afternoon), they might arrive late if the morning move took longer than expected (not their fault in my case: sometimes people underestimate the amount of stuff they have and think it'll take less time than what is realistic, causing the move to take longer and eat into other people's appointments). I would highly recommend them, and hire them for my next move. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Best Coast Movers. We were new to Seattle and needed to schedule a last minute move and BCM jumped on it and were there for us. We live on the third floor and these guys dominated carrying our million boxes, and heavy furniture. We have several antique pieces that are very sentimental to my husband and they took great care with them and delivered them with not a single scratch on them! The move was as quick as humanly possible. They definitely worked to get us moved in the shortest time possible - which equals the lowest cost to us possible. We were moving into a new construction home which had multiple closing date delays and they were always very accommodating with our multiple rescheduling requests. On the day of the move they were on time and very professional. They worked hard and were always moving. Our furniture was wrapped well and we didn't have any damaged items during the move. They got done so quickly that there was enough time left from our minimum charge for them to put together some of our larger items that needed assembly. Just Wow. This will be long, but the details really mattered to me here. Let me start with that they totally get that moving is really, really stressful. I sold my home of 16 years, where I raised my kids, and had long time beloved neighbors. I moved to a new town, and into a home of a dear friend. Packing was emotional and difficult and took forever. I had to figure out what would come with me, and what would go into storage, and label boxes accordingly and be super specific on contents so I could get to things if I needed to. Nutshell: not a simple move. I picked Best Coast based on their quote, but also their communication and the way they answered my questions. Here's how it went: - They showed up on time, and within an hour of them being there, I started to feel like I was going to live through this. They were, of course, professional, and also personable, interested, flexible (no 'rules' like, if it's not in a box we won't take it, kinda thing), upbeat, and never stopped. They took great care to wrap furniture and artwork (and there was a LOT), and of fragile items in loading. We were on our way in 2 1/2 hours...I was blown away. - First stop was my new home, to unload some furniture and boxes. My new bed room is super tiny so they made suggestions about how to rearrange it to accommodate my bed which they assembled), etc, and then moved my housemates furniture accordingly - including loading her bed into the truck, and heavy dressers to the other side of the room. They also then loaded another 20 or so boxes and some furniture I had moved to my housemates' garage when I listed the house into the truck. - Off to 2 storage spaces nearby - one for furniture (which they packed in to be 'earthquake proof', using lots of paper pads and cardboard to protect the pieces), and one just for boxes - which they loaded in with all labels facing out, and with isles so I can see and get to everything as I need to. Had to stop at the box space first, then the 2nd to unload the furniture, then back to the 1st box space to unload the rest (they were on opposite sides of the storage facility). They were done and on their way just after 5. They were spot on in their quote on man power and materials. Dwight, Malcom, DJ and Bryan could NOT have been more helpful or attentive, and had great suggestions over the course of the move. They worked hard and fast and remained totally upbeat with me and each other throughout the process. AND the final bill came in UNDER their quote. The decision to sell my home, getting it ready to list, packing, and prepping for the move was crazy hard. But Best Coast made the part I thought would be the hardest, the smoothest. Can't say enough good things about this team. I've moved a lot- probably ten times in Seattle alone, and these guys were far and away the best experience I've ever had. The communication before my move was amazing. Friendly and polite-- extremely quickly too (my whole move was planned and confirmed with a date change in under an hour). They had my entire apartment emptied in 30 minutes (granted I was ready to go, packed and organized). I'm astounded by the level of customer service demonstrated by Best Coast Movers. We had numerous scheduling curve balls thrown at us after we set our first move date due to closing dates changing, contractor install dates moving at the new place, and surprises around inspections at the old place. Despite all this, Dwight and co. were accommodating, friendly, and never made me feel like the bad guy for having to change the plan yet again. This level of personal, friendly support from a business during something as stressful as a big move just doesn't seem like 'a thing' you can expect any more, but BCM has demonstrated it consistently since our first interaction. I worked with Dwight, Malcolm, and DJ twice now - once in 2018 and once in 2019 for moves within Seattle of a 1-bedroom apartment. I expect I'll be calling them again in 2020. * They work fast. They are well-prepared with all the right tools and can optimize the number of trips to and from the truck. Also, having a well-coordinated team of 3 makes a huge difference, compared to 2. * They don't waste time. When the loading space was occupied by an Amazon truck who just wouldn't leave, they quickly found another spot down the street and started hustling and unloading my stuff. * They wrap furniture carefully. I wasn't expecting them to, but I appreciated that they even wrapped my $15 IKEA coffee tables. * They were able to accommodate my requests and changes. I'm grateful for their flexibility, but it's certainly not an expectation! * Last and most importantly, they're honest and upstanding. They don't try to pad the time or bait-and-switch or tack on additional charges (they do charge for tape, which I knew upfront) or any of those modern business practices that I've come to expect from every single company. They treat me with respect, and so I have a lot of respect for them. Lots of things are unpredictable during a move, and that's why you need people you can trust. I'm a frugal person, sometimes excessively so, but every dollar I've spent on Best Coast Movers was absolutely worth it. I'd much rather hire them than sign over my hard-earned money to my apartments' greedy and parasitic lease renewals. I just moved from an apartment to a home and had a couple of recommendations for Best Coast Movers and decided to use them. Dwight, Malcolm and DJ showed up on time and were very courteous and professional. Their efficiency amazed me and they even moved my e-bikes, large potted plants and other odd items without a scratch on the items being moved. And not a scuff on the walls and floors of the home being moved from and the final destination. They never stopped moving and their hourly rate was well earned and the move was done in at least 2 hours less than I had planned for. OMG Kevin and Alex saved the day!! After Established Movers who I originally hired bailed on me after a four hour postponement, I needed to hire another mover asap. Not only did Best Coast immediately respond with a very reasonable quote, but they could move me the very next day!! Everything went so smoothly which was in sharp contrast from the day before with Established Movers. Like my husband says, these guys are bad as$! Don't know if I can say that on yelp but it is true. The best movers we have ever had. I searched all of the yelp reviews for the top rated movers in Seattle (including the hidden ones) after we had a nightmare experience with Bekins movers on our move to WA. Bekins scattered furniture parts all over our storage unit and we were very worried that we would have to throw away a lot of our furniture. Well Dwight and Malcolm from best coast movers handled the move out of the storage unit like champs and they were able to put together the furniture using the parts Bekins scattered all over the place with no labels. Our stop involved 3 stops and these men were fast and efficient, on time. I was like, they are already done? And while hard at work, they maintained a positive attitude all day! They also had great judgment when it came to where to put what. I love when people take pride in what they do and wish there were more companies out there like best coast movers.
