See photo. A color variance claim was denied by the manufacturer, based on comparing their roll to a scrap of the carpet they sent us rather than comparing to the swatch provided before ordering. None of these possible complications were explained to us in advance. The installation was excellent, though.

She first walked in to Amore Carpet and Flooring on Thursday, October 22nd to request a flooring consultation. When my mother walked in (she is deaf by the way), the salespeople approached her, but continuously ignored her for other patrons. My mother ended up waiting for 45 minutes to be ignored by the salespeople who thought that other hearing clients were more important than her, as she was there well before any of the other patrons (I am appalled by this). She thought it was a fluke (maybe the other patrons had appointments), and made an appointment for Tuesday, October 27th at 11AM. She confirmed with the salespeople that she had the 11AM slot, and was assured that she would be well taken care of. An Amore representative met her at the location she needed flooring to collect measurements. Afterwards, he took her back to the main office (which was very close) to talk about pricing. When they entered the store, the representative left my mother on the side yet again for another client that just walked into the store. May I remind you that my mother had an appointment, and she was being ignored again. The representative continuously got up and attended to other clients, telling my mother 'one second'. My mother got very upset, and mentioned to the representative that this was the second time this was happening, and she had an appointment and should have been the priority of the meeting. To her dismay, the representative got up yet again to attend to another client five minutes later. My mother waited for another 45 minutes, and was never attended to. This shows an absolute disrespect for any clients, especially my mother who is deaf and is a customer that deserves the same amount of attention as any other client. If you are looking for a flooring and carpet company that has any respect for customers with any sort of disability, this is NOT your place. My mother ended up walking out after being ignored on TWO different occasions. DO NOT COME HERE.

To be extra safe, I even purchased the warranty. Less than a year later, the carpet started snagging and looks terrible. When I filed a warranty claim, it was denied, even though I followed all care instructions and the damage was exactly what I was told wouldn't happen. I spent over $10,000 on this carpet, expecting quality and honesty. Instead, I'm stuck with a poor-quality product and a company that refuses to stand behind their own sales promises or warranty. Save yourself the stress -- get everything in writing and think twice before trusting Empire's "guarantees."

The next day they came they came with 4 people. Two people left mid day and left the other two workers to finish the job. However, our doors no longer fit properly in our downstairs area one door leading to our garage. The two men who left earlier were the ones who had the tools to complete the job. They did not communicate this until right when they were leaving so they needed to come back a third day to fix the doors. We lost a lot of heat through the doors so it would have been nice to have a heads up. However, they did do beautiful work.* Update they came back today and still couldn't fix all the doors. So frustrating....

The service we received from Janine and Michael was outstanding. Janine was available and responsive for any of my questions. Michael came out to look at the stair noses and took the scrap pieces of carpet and bound them for us. They also upgraded the vent in our flooring to match the new floors. Their customer service was really outmatched- there's a huge value in being able to call or email and get a real person who can help you. I definitely recommend floor decor !
