It was originally done in 2020, and fell off for the first time in 2021. She told me that she was going to have to charge me to re-cement it. (I don't have insurance) I asked how much. After about 10 min of runaround with her & the billing specialist, I was told the charge would be $150! I told her that I would pay it because I have no choice, but that i thought it was ridiculous that I would have to pay that much money to glue a crown back on. (I had a previous crown on a different tooth that lasted me 15+ years without ever coming off!) At that point, she told me that she was not going to put it back on for me because "I don't trust her work"! So, after spending almost 2 hours there, I had to leave without getting the crown put on, at 3pm. She was aware that I was going to NC tomorrow and there's no way I would be able to get in with any other dentist this late in the day. And she actually looked really pleased with herself for refusing to do the work. It was honestly the most unprofessional experience I have ever had at any dental office. I hadn't been into the office for a long time, for personal reasons. She took several opportunities to point that out to me as well. As if that was the reason my crown (which to my understanding is permanent & should not be coming off multiple times) came off. I have a lot of dental issues. I have spent thousands of dollars at this office & have family members that have spent tens of thousands. I actually talked to Dr. V today about finally putting together a plan to get to the bottom of all my issues. And now I have to find another office. I really loved Dr. Wong, but he is there anymore. The rest of the staff in the office are AMAZING & SO KIND!! The office is beautiful, with all the newest technology. There are so many nice things I can say about the office in general. But after today, I will not be returning. The way that Dr. V handled the entire situation was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL & UNETHICAL. I now have to drive to NC without my fragile tooth unprotected and deal with it when I come back. All because the crown that they did has fallen out twice in less than 5 years, and I told her that I felt taken advantage of for being charged $150 for that!!

At my new dentist they have since informed me that i actually never needed a root canal ! Shocker !! They said she should have never let me leave the seat with my bite completely off and a crown 5 sizes too big for my mouth! In many medical situations, two doctors can see the same thing and come to different conclusions about the urgency to care for a condition. As humans, we all make decisions colored by our training and experience and medical professionals are no different in that respect. Unfortunately, my husband has not had the same luck. predetermination information had been request on two separate occasions from the insurance company and to date, nothing has been sent. This has been going back since 05.04.2022. A representative from the insurance company and I called twice while on three way and to our surprise, the receptionist hung up. Now we proceed to call a third time and the voicemail has been activated. My husband has been suffering for months and is in need of work, but it seems we will have to proceed with a new physician and start the process again. I have since filed a complaint with the board of health, the insurance company and BBB. **Update as of 08.09.2022** I was advised by the reception on 08.04.2022 that the office manager only goes into the office on Tuesday's. I left a message in hopes that I would receive a call, and to date I have not. I called the office today, TUESDAY 08.09.2022 and what a surprise, the office manager isn't in!! I needed a root canal, a temporary…read moreput in with some sort of "foundation" and then in January 2023 I had a permanent crown put in. The crown was from their lab on-site which saved me time. I was very happy with the doctor and the service at the time and they really helped me out because my regular dentist was on vacation given the holiday season. However one year later the crown popped out of my mouth today. I take excellent care of my teeth, floss twice a day properly, and see my primary dentist for cleanings and x-rays. I also use other things like an interdental to keep plaque off my teeth. The crown had to be glued back in my mouth and it was basically a five minute procedure. However I was required to pay $51 and was told that this is billable. This is absolutely outrageous. The original work that was done by the dentist should not result in a crown popping out of somebody's mouth after only one year. I am very upset about being nickel and dimed in this fashion. Additionally, the front desk person intimated that it was my care of my teeth which resulted in this problem. I can't tell you how fuming mad I am about this accusation on her part. Update--they reversed the charge per the front desk person. So therefore I changed my review.

I lost a crown - front upper tooth. He said he'd perform an implant that very day and make a temporary in his own lab. After extracting the root he handed me a contraption that was supposed to be my temporary tooth. It looked terrible and I had to keep my mouth completely closed to hold it in place. As soon as I opened my mouth it fell out on the floor. He picked it up, put it in an envelope and handed it to me. It was totally unusable! Then he said, "You don't have a photoshoot scheduled for the next few days, do you?" I was house bound for several days with no front tooth. Even his staff was shocked when I returned looking that way. They couldn't believe I was sent home like that. There's even more but you get the picture. I switched to an established professional for the implant. Never going back!

On the day I returned for the more involved work I was actually looking forward to getting it done and out of the way. Everything went smoothly, the health of my mouth went from neglected to tip top shape: I had a lot of bonding work done, and it's completely different than when I was a kid; there was no pain and it's so modern you cannot even tell what are my teeth and what was added: no more gaps, cracks, or cavities. Also the hygienist who does the cleaning was absolutely terrific. I have since moved from Bedford Hills but will readily return for a yearly visit and also cleaning because I trust the work they did and the results.
