This is supposedly a VSP Premier Member, but they do not honor VSPs policies. I had my annual check done here and due to their low selection of frames, I had to purchase from Eyeconic, VSPs recommended supplier. When returning to get my frames adjusted, they refused saying they don't follow VSPs policies. I was, in fact, invited to take my business elsewhere. Since I made the mistake of also getting my 6-year-old daughter's eyes examined, and they would be her doctor, she is left without an eye doctor. Shameful. These are supposed to be medical professionals. If you value you and your family's vision, run from Best Eyecare Associates. They don't care and will leave you high and dry. read more

I just wasn't impressed. The Dr was nice, but it was a very quick examination. The individual that sell you the glasses picks the very best of the best lenses and etc, without asking for your opinion or describing anything.. then tells you the price. There was no explanation of what my insurance covered when I sat down with this person. The price blew me away. Definitely not the experiences I've had at other establishments. read more

I did not have a good experience here. The selection of eyeglasses for my small head was not as large as the other place I went. I had challenges getting used to the progressive lenses and the first time I went in to talk about it - I felt belittled by the lady in the lobby. When I went back, the head technician made me feel much better and redeemed the place. But that first time left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be going back again. read more

Dr. Best is great, IF you're able to see her. However the receptionist was very unprofessional, yelling out insurance information to her colleague across the room in front of other patrons. After they started our appointment they stopped it to tell us they no longer take our insurance. This should have been told to us when we scheduled before we took off time from work. Billing is a nightmare, we can't seem to get anything resolved. It's been super frustrating that months and months pass by with zero contact or resolution. I have called the insurance company and gave them the info needed, but nothing is being done. Be cautious when asking for a check from an acute problem that is outside of a routine eye exam! read more

After having cataract surgery 7 years ago, I ended up with double vision. Over the years I saw two ophthalmologists and 2 optometrists on 2 different occasions. They all told me that my eyes' looked perfect and no sign of any eye diseases. So this year I researched optometrists online and decided on Best Eyecare. When I expressed my concern to Dr. Best that I was not able to see clearly and explained my symptoms she seemed to know what the problem was immediately and gave me the tests to determine. She also told me that I had the early stages of macular degeneration, which I had been told by the other docs there were no signs! With my prism added lenses, I can now read a book again! I am doing the happy dance! The office staff were awesome also! I highly recommend Best Eyecare Associates. read more

Dr. Best overtested and overdiagnosed me for cataracts and possible glaucoma. I went to an ophthalmologist who confirmed that I do not meet the criteria for cataract surgery and most certainly do not have glaucoma. I have also had insurance billing issues which I solved by calling my insurance company and Dr. Best's billing person, a total of 7 times to find out that Dr. Best had a credentialing issue with my health insurance company. I went to her to get my eyes examined for glasses and she began testing me for glaucoma to the point that my insurance company began denying claims as not medically necessary/out of network. Then her office began to bill me for the testing. She was also evasive as to what the tests were revealing when I asked her. I would not recommend her for these reasons, as I believe her practice is motivated more by money than appropriate eye care. read more

Dr. Best took care of me when I was diagnosed with Bell's palsy (I could not close my eye) and made sure that my eye sight was not declining with the dryness. She took a lot of time with me explaining what drops were best for this situation and how to care for my eye during this hard time. She took such amazing care of me and the whole staff was amazing and friendly. Also if you just need a place to pick up awesome designer sunglasses this place is it! The staff and Dr.'s at Best Eyecare are friendly, organized, and professional. They have a great selection of frames and sunglasses for both function and style. My appointments are timely to keep me on track with my busy schedule. Dr. Best is super helpful with my eye allergy issues as well. The store was clean, bright and full of helpful employees. We went to more than six other eye wear dealers and hardly any of them asked if we could be helped. Best Eyecare greeted us promptly and worked diligently to fit my wife and I with just the right frames and lenses. As an update for my original review, I have been coming to Dr. Best for 5 years now with the exception of a short time where, due to insurance reasons, I was forced to go to another practice. They were so much less helpful and knowledgeable that I now pay for my own insurance that allows me to see Dr Best. I pay a lot of out of pocket and it's worth every cent. Not only has she brought me from 20/800 to 20/20 in spite of very aggressive keratoconus she helped me with cataracts in both eyes at an age that is very atypical and after surgery with a specialist, whom Dr Best's team coordinates perfectly with, I am now turning off all of the accessibility features of my computer and phone since I no longer need them. Dr. Best has given me a new lease on life and allowed me to keep working and providing for myself and my family. They are like family to me as well. They immediately know who I am when I call or come in and they always make my day 100x better. I have never once had to wait any longer than a week for an appointment and most of the time they are able to get me in the next day. Do not hesitate to trust your vision health to her team, I wish all of my healthcare was this good. read more
