I take my diva of a Basset Hound -- Boopki, aka Slinky Dog, aka the Queen of Sass -- to Woodlands Pet Food and Treats, and Mary always treats her like canine royalty. Boopki is not what you'd call "low maintenance." She's 50% ears, 100% attitude, and her idea of a bath is lying dramatically in protest while sighing like she's in a Victorian novel. But Mary? Mary is the Basset Whisperer. She somehow manages to charm Boopki into the tub with the grace of a seasoned diplomat and the tenderness of a gourmet chicken treat. Every time Boopki leaves, she's not just clean -- she's glowing. She smells like a lavender field blessed by unicorns and looks like she just stepped off a doggy runway in Milan. And Mary always sends her home with a wagging tail, a soft coat, and zero drama (well, Boopki still tries to milk it for sympathy, but that's showbiz, baby). Woodlands is lucky to have Mary. Both Jose and Don was so patient with me and my questions. I wanted to try some of their products, but was concerned about finding parking and they suggested that I could purchase the items online, and they would run it out to me when I arrived. I ordered online and when I got their called the store, and Don literally ran out of the store to hand my items to me! But that's not the amazing part.... When I got home and examined the items (bone broth and digestive probiotics) I noticed the probiotics were in pill form when I ordered the powdered version. I thought to myself, oh no biggie I suppose I can just crush it up and mix it with the food. However, there's no instructions on how much/many to give to my dog according to weight. So I called again and asked and told them I originally purchased the powdered form of probiotics, but I got the pill.. They looked over my order and apologized for the mix up. And Uber delivered my correct order for me the same day!!.... I WILL BE GOING BACK TO JEFFREY'S when I can. Pup is on the mend. The delivery took forever cuz I think my Uber driver got lost or something... Not Jeffrey's fault LOL!

Peanut and Pudge is locally sourced and manufactured in Fairfax, CA by a dog owner/lover so you know what you're getting in each treat. Especially, when you see the back of the package with a long list of questionable ingredients...whereas, P&P has no more than 7 ingredients used like oat flour, rice flour, honey, banana, vanilla...thumbs up to that! I met with the owner this morning and she was super friendly, welcoming and shared her products and answered any questions...no (human) sampling at this booth though she said her treats are all fresh and natural her "kids eat the Banana Bites like muffins". :) Coming all the way from Marin I do hope to see her booth at the Farmers Market again! I would not recommend this shop to anyone…read more I had reached out to the owner to ask about grooming for our pup, I let her know our dog is a senior and requires gentle care, and was clear on what we wanted haircut wise. She said all of that was totally fine and she'd have her best groomer on it, and we booked an appointment. When I took our pup in, I didn't get to speak with the groomer, but the girl at the front desk assured me they had the notes and pics I had forwarded. I felt uneasy as the other "groomers" in the shop were all talking loud, listening to loud music, and dressed in really baggy clothes ( not smart when you're cutting dog's hair). I'm upset that the vibe didn't turn me away, I should've listened to my intuition as this place did not seem good at all. When I went to pick up our pup, her cut was AWFUL. Totally choppy, uneven, and she looked half bathed. I emailed the owner and she confirmed the groomer had been busy, so they had someone else do Twinkle's cut. This other person was new, and totally ruined Twinkle's cut, as well as mishandled her. My stomach was upside down. The owner offered me a 10% discount off the cut, and said she would give us 50% off the next cut. She promised me that it would not go poorly again. First of all, NOTHING WENT AS SHE SAID IT WOULD, and the best "customer service" she offered was 10% off the totally botched job??!! Second, why on earth would we ever trust them and subject our sweet girl to this chaos and lack of skill A SECOND TIME!!?? I said how about give us at least the 50% off this time- but really she should have refunded us fully and either properly trained that incompetent groomer or fired him. Overall, the service was terrible, and the owner was more interested in keeping her $100 than righting the wrong that was done by her and her staff. I strongly advise against taking your precious pets to this shop, from owner, to front desk to groomer, it's all bad.

What I really enjoy is getting email notifications when they come to pick up the dogs as well as when they drop them off. Sometimes they even leave little notes, such as this one: "Momo and Malaga did super today! Malaga didn't pull hardly at all, and Momo was very easy as always. We had a fun hike :)" Just recently, they also introduced dog boarding and we had a very good experience with that as well. Eddie - who also walks our dogs throughout the week - stayed at our house, while we enjoyed a few days of "kids free" time! He kept us informed with pictures every day - we loved it.

I went to see a doctor to make sure that the puncture wounds and bleeding weren't going to be a problem. At the time I was bitten the owner the company let me know he would be happy to help. A couple of months later, the bill for under $200 arrived and I asked David L to pay it as agreed; but he was singing a very different tune. The owner then decided not to pay the bill, called it a 'scratch', and insisted that it was my fault. Use this company at your own risk.

In addition to grooming services, she has everything you need to care for your kitty! It is so amazing to have such a lovely person as a resource. If you have a kitty that gets nervous and scared, she is very accommodating. When I reached out, I was fully transparent about my kitty's reaction to going to the vet (very scared and high adrenaline), and Irene was so reassuring that it wouldn't be a problem. If you don't know where you can take your cat because they may get upset, Irene can handle it!
