Two board-certified plastic surgeons I consulted prior had told me I was not a candidate and would not be happy with the results. Dr. Lopez, however, assured me I would achieve the outcome I wanted, showing me pictures and telling me she had done many surgeries like it with great results. I had the surgery, and a year later I was very unhappy. In many ways, my arms looked worse. For the entire year, Dr. Lopez told me there was nothing more she could do--other than pointing out that now, my arms looked "better in clothes". Sadly, that was not what I had been promised, nor what I paid for. She performed a second surgery, an actual brachioplasty, but the results were still poor and fell far below the standard of care. I then sought multiple evaluations from actual board-certified plastic surgeons. All agreed: the results I was left with were not acceptable, not what I paid for, and fell far below the standard of care. Dr. Lopez offered a third surgery--at an additional charge--but by that point I had lost all confidence in her skills. I found another surgeon who quoted me the cost to repair the damage, an actual board-certified plastic surgeon. Rather than asking for a full refund, I only requested reimbursement for the amount I would need to pay for the corrective surgery. Dr. Lopez has continued to refuse. In my experience, most plastic surgeons will work with patients or provide refunds when the results are clearly unacceptable. Dr. Lopez did not. While I have never sued anyone for anything before, I am having to sue her to get her to do the right thing. So, I ask you, is Dr. Lopez the cosmetic surgeon you really want to do business with? Bottom line: Had I known then what I know now, I would never have scheduled surgery with her. Do your homework. In my opinion, Dr. Lopez talks a good game but does not have the skills to deliver. I wish I had the ability to show you, my arms. Dr. Lopez is a cosmetic surgeon, not a board-certified plastic surgeon. Google the difference, then strongly consider another surgeon.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.
