I am an attorney. This business needs to be shut down and the guy put in jail. Since I disputed his fraudulent charges for services and goods not provided, he has threatened to come on my property using the copies of my house keys he secretly made, which text message I showed police that then called him warning him not to come on my property. He tries to keep about $700 of charges when he did not provide the service or the goods. After I posted my review of him, seconds later he sent me about 100 text messsages threatining me, blackmailng me, and bribing me to remove my review. He is schizophrenic as one minute he says he will refund my money, then next minute he is threatening me, and he CONTINUES TO DO THIS AFTER I AND THE POLICE HAVE REPEATEDLY WARNED HIM NOT TO CONTACT ME. Last night and this morning, he AGAIN texted me about 50 messages and called me to threaten and harass me interspersed with bribing and blackmailing and calling me names and insulting me a a woman and women in general. He is COMPLETELY crazy as established by his STALKING and his refusal to obey my order and police order that HE NOT CONTACT ME FURTHER. I am filing criminal charges against him. HE IS DANGEROUS and is so crazy that he does not care about engaging in his bizarre conduct despite warnings from an attorney and the police. plano police called a star locksmith to warn him to stop stalking me and not to come on my property that he threatened to do after i demanded refund of his fraudulent and over changes. furthermore, on 7/16/13 yesterday, seconds after i posted my review below on 7/16/13, a star locksmith rafael texted and called me trying to blackmail me to remove my review of his criminal and bizarre threats and stalking. he must have texted me 50 times in one day and called 25 times. the plano police then called him to inform him to stop because he is committing a criminal offense. after a star locksmith was told to stop stalking me, he still continued to do so via email to me. in his email, when he very well knew who i was, as he kept my phone number and called me by name, he lied that he has no idea who i was. to this day, a star locksmith has failed to refund me over $675.00 of fraudulent and overcharges, threatened to access my house with copies of the keys he says he has from installing my locks, stalked me to blackmail me into removing my yelp review, and is just plain insane. deal with the busisiness at your own risk as he says he makes copies of keys to locks he installs for his clients so he can gain access to their properties!!! read more

I called Best Locksmith yesterday with a problem with my lock sticking and they scheduled a visit with me right away. During the visit Ben discovered that the problem wasn't with my lock at all but with the door shifting positions. Instead of apologizing and leaving he offered to fix it right away with another tool they had free of charge. He also put Wd40 in both the key holes so that they would be less difficult to turn. My roommate and I had been having enormous trouble opening the door for months now and this small kind gesture was amazing ! We can actually open ours door with only one hand now! We originally chose Best Locksmith for their fair pricing but we will continue to call and use Best locksmith for their amazing customer service ! Ben was great ! I have an elderly neighbor who is on a very lean fixed income. He is showing signs of dementia, his house is in very poor condition, and he literally does not have enough money to live on. I called Ben, Owner of Best Locksmith, after my neighbor showed up at my house locked out of his house. Ben had to drill through the lock to get in. He not only replaced the lock at no charge, but he also would not accept any money for his time and service. I offered to pay for my neighbor in advance but Ben said no when he was finished. I have never met Ben nor used his company before, but I want everyone to know that this is an honest, humble and compassionate man. I would recommend his company to anyone requiring a locksmith and certainly will contact him if ever I am in need of his company's services. read more

I always get nervous in situations like this, needing service ,when you have no choice and you need it then and there . I always afraid that someone will take advantage just because they can... Well, not at this time... They were professional fair priced and fast , that I promised myself I had to post a review and recommend it to others in my community . Best locksmith, as stated in their name is really the best... They even called couple of days after service was done to check if I had any questions and if everything is good... I locked my keys in my BMW on Sunday. I called a couple of places and got the routine, $15.99 service fee and the guy would come out and tell me the total price before starting the job. The whole thing smelled like a con. No, they would not even consider even giving a me range of price. i went to Yelp and found A Star Locksmith and all the glowing reviews here. Flat charge of $75.00, he wad here in 30 minutes and was finished in 5 minutes! He estimated others would have charged me $125 to $150.00. don;t ever use a place that will not give you a firm price before letting the locksmith come out and take advantage of your situation. Awful experience I called them to make an appointment and everything went wrong, they first didn't show up, after they came the guy try to charge me A LOT more then I quoted on the phone, then they got the wrong parts!!! so I gave up in addition to the guy didn't speak good English and were rude as hell. I really don't understand how they are rated so high on "Yelp" something got to be wrong about it all. and the good reviews talking about "Rafael", I asked to talk with him (he is the owner?!) This is a great locksmith. I initially used their services because I had an issue with a key jamming in the lock. When I called, the guy who answered was very professional. The technician came out during the time frame that was provided, and my issue was quickly resolved. I was also quoted a price prior to the technician performing the work, which was greatly appreciated. I recently used their services again to re-key a different lock. These guys are awesome We went out yesterday night to Flying Saucer and we lost our 2009 jeep liberty key. It was late at night and we called a few companies, but they said they couldn't make our type of key or those that could help could not arrive untill the next day.
