I love this salon and have been going here since I moved to Delaware! Their color selection is extensive and all of the staff are extremely polite! I specifically go to Tina. She does the best gel manicure that I've ever experienced! I'm super big on the shape of my nails and also the longevity because I have my hands in water more often than the average person because of my profession. My gel manicures last for a full 2 weeks and I can even stretch to 3 when needed. I've never had any chipping or lifting. Please don't hesitate to try this salon out! They are great! read more

My first time at this salon was a GREAT experience. The pedicure massage was wonderful and relaxing. They really take their time here and do a thorough job. Great OPI nail color selection. Very reasonable priced...mani-pedi was $30. I walked in without an appointment and there was minimal wait...by the time I was done picking my colors they had already set up the foot bath. I re-visited here for just a mani and the service was horrible the second time around. The man greeting customers was very rude when he asked me to wait in a chair while "preferred clients" who had appointments were treated nicely. The manicure was awful and messy. Never visiting again after this experience. It's unfortunate as the first trip was so good and they seem to never be busy which is good for walk-in appts, but the horrible customer service the second time around was a huge disappointment. read more

I have been going to the salon for several years for manicures and pedicures. I now get gel manicures and pedicures. I am always treated kindly and the work is done professionally. My nails last for several weeks (they grow quickly) and I have never had to return for a problem. I work a lot with my hands, so if anything, I am hard on my nails. This place is no longer going to be one of my regular spas. I went in for a pedicure and set the chair to 30 minutes as usual. Linda went through the motions so quickly, the chair still had 20 minutes left by the time she was done painting. My feet never soaked, she was so rough with the file; I winced several times. I refused the razor, opting for callus remover instead, as I usually do. She put the gel on the stone, rubbed back and forth a couple of times, then rinsed my feet. The massage was also fast, nothing was at a pace for it to be relaxing at all. When I got up, I told her about my disappointment and she immediately started defending herself, saying she did everything, and that they usually last only 15-20 minutes. This was somewhere between 10-15, and I get regular pedicures, they usually last 20-30 minutes, especially if noone is waiting. I spent more time drying than I did in the pedicure. I asked a different lady up front if she was in charge, and started explaining my disappointment, that I felt like a received a color change, rather than a pedicure. Linda came up and they started speaking to each other in their language. When I finished drying, I asked if there would be some sort of discount. Linda again came up, interrupted, and said no, because she did "everything." There was no relaxing, no good massage, no need to hurry! And my heels are rough. Awesome pedicure. Amy gave a wonderful leg massage. 23$ for the basic pedicure. She used a drill/sander thing that I've only seen with manicures, but she knew what she was doing. Didn't go straight for the razor for my calluses, but actually took time to look Su my feet and decided to go with a different tool. I thought that was a pretty good deal and am very happy with the experience. We will see how long the color lasts! read more

I've been going to this place for about 4 months now. I don't usually make an appointment. Amy is very good and nice. Her husband David on the other hand is rude and not a people person. He rushes through his gel fill like he would rather be anywhere but there. I needed a gel fill he said he had a 5 pm appointment which never showed while he sat behind the desk. Went to place as an emergency because i wanted my nails done for my bridal shower and didnt have time to go back to Middletown and come back to Newark. My mother in law and I waited about an hr. Which i understand because we did not have appts. They only had 4 ppl working on a Saturday which should have been the first red flag. The color i picked from their box was not the same they put on me regardless of the numbers matching i picked a purple taupe color got a pink taupe instead. The male started working on my nails and grabbed the file to file down my nails before adding the gel polished and i said no to that and he went on to explain to me the polish wont stay without filing my nails. I havent had that done anywhere else. He told me it would only stay on for 2-3 days. After waiting for an hr and being called back a woman walks in and he just goes on to help her and gives me a different tech which was good because i figured he would want to file my nails regardless of my not wanting. This woman was worse i guess, she painted my nails terrible and barely touched my cuticles. A woman walked in and told them she had called a couple of monutes for a pedicure, the lady doing my nails was suppose to do her pedicure, guess she was rushing my nail job for her which is fine except she had called minutes before and was given an appt when then place was pretty busy. This was on Saturday and it is now Wednesday and half if not more of my nails have a chip. I went there because i needed a manicure and it was a waste of money. I've never been to Best Nails before and received a $50 Gift Card for my birthday. I'm a restaurant manager so manicures barely last and pedicures feel great but once again, I'm on my feet 60 hours a week. They'd just look ugly again. So I called to see if they did waxing or tanning (every nail salon I've been to has offered these things). He seemed annoyed I asked about tanning and kept saying "this is a nail salon, not a tanning salon." Long story short I'm not going there and will use my birthday present as a prize for one of my employees since they all get their nails done. No hospitality whatsoever from what I could tell. The one girl was walking around cleaning up and taking her time to get to me. She did a nice job but took FOREVER. It shouldn't take a whole hour for a pedicure. My gel nails look terrible. The owner (gentlemen) took care of me and I asked for short and semi square. Well I have Jersey fan nails that looks horrific. Most of them are crooked and he rushed through the entire thing. He kept turning around watching the tv and talking with his head turned while he was filing, no wonder my nails are so crooked. He got annoyed when I didn't have cash to pay with and $75 for a full gel set and pedicure!!! I have never paid that much in my life. I do NOT recommend this salon. Horrible service. First off the fuck. They are not sanitary the lady doing my nails was bleeding from her nail & continued doing my nails. I showed her my design I wanted & she said she could do it for me. After having her almost glue my skin of my thumb shut to my nail she tried fixing it & cut me. I personally seperated my thumb from my nail. After waiting for her to run around in the back leaving me sitting for 15 minutes, she comes back to tell me she cannot do my design. Okay, I asked her ahead if they could do it.. apparently they can't now. Then I asked for another one I knew they could & again she walked around then came back to say they are busy so I could come back later. Wait whaaaaat so I told her that no I will go somewhere else.
