Went in asking for "dip" manicure. I told guy I wanted something skin tone but no pink. He said he knew what I wanted and got started. He did NO trimming or cuticle work, just got started. Although the color looks nice, the set itself was done poor unfortunately. There are bubbles in my nails, a whole section of the acrylic isn't even attached to my nails, and on the other side of my nails I have acrylic not drilled out from the application. Nice aesthetic, but sub par service. I went in several hours before they closed, and ended up being rushed into a paint job I didn't want... There was no wait, and the pedicurist who also waxed my face was very good at her job. She missed a few spots, however understandable being my facial hair is blonde. Although by the end, she told me she needed to hurry up because she had another customer. The pedicure was good, waxing OK. Then I had to wait 20 minutes to get my full set with shellac. After a customer who had come in after me had been serviced. If I did not choose an extreme amount of glitter, I would be pretty mad about my nail shape and how lumpy they are. However not surprised when I kept asking about only having the glitter on the tip as a French manicure (which would have ultimately made her more money.) But because I was "going on vacation I wanted them to bling bling" according to the nail Tech. She was basically refusing, because it would take a few minutes more. So I went with it to see what would happen, and even after one nail I was still not into it, but all of the employees were rushing out and The tech and the owner seemed extremely annoyed. I was particular about my nail shape because I wanted a coffin shape, and they were all off angle. I was not rude, I was very kind and asked gently about the shape of each nail. The tech took care of that part, however if someone were to pay close attention to my nails, they would see what a poorly executed job it truly was. I really don't like the paint job and feel I was forced into it. All in all, it's a terrible mess. It's the only day or minute I had to do this before vacation, so hopefully I stop noticing and nobody else does... They didn't care that I spent upwards of 120.00$ there. I will not return this business in the future for the following reasons: They've been a last-minute appointment because you have no other choice. The last time I was there, I was scolded during my manicure when I moved my fingers. I'm 36 years old and felt like I was being treated like a child. I'm always out in less than an hour and a half even if I get a fill in, pedicure, and eyebrow wax! None of the staff knows how to speak english and so there is no communication or manners between them and their customers. Do not come get to get your nails done. The staff isn't very welcoming and they don't do a great job with nails. I've been getting acrylic nails for about 10 years now and this was my worst experience. I was in pain when the lady was filing my nails down for my fill. She filed down my skin and I was bleeding! The file was never cleaned off and used for the next women that was waiting after me! Completely unsanitary. I was also baffled my fill and fixing two nails was $30! This place has certainly changed. Unfortunately the new decor doesn't cover up the untrained nail techs horrible service. I stopped in 2 weekends ago for a mani/pedi expecting the great service they used to have. Instead the tech took a dremel to my natural nails to remove gel polish. She then did the worst mani/pedi I've ever had. A 5year can paint nails better. Now my nails are severely damaged, won't grow because they keep breaking. There's lines and scuff marks all over them...I've had beautiful natural nails my entire life, now thru are ruined. I'm sure it will be a good year before they grow out and heal. I have had mostlt good experiences here and I have been going here for several years. I went two weeks ago and I was applaud at the service. I had the dip nail in when I went in and I wanted it removed and just my regular nails with shellac polish on. The gentleman used a mail tip to remove the sip nails and ripped all my natural nails that I had grown out over six months or more. I was shocked but he kept satitng that was the way to remove. I told him what about acetone and the foil to loosen them first. He ripped two of the past my nail bed. My nails are like paper and they had to be cut all the way down and they are sore. read more

One of the worst places I wasted my money at. I got my nails (manicure and pedicure) done using shellac on both and 2 days later one of the shellac on my finger nail chipped pretty badly. I went back and got it fixed. 3 days later after the second visit to the salon the chipping was almost on every fingernail. I was out of town for a wedding and had no time to get them done anywhere else so I went to the wedding with chipped nails. So disappointed. When I got back home I called the nail salon and told them how poorly my nails were done and the lady on the phone assured me she would be the one working on me when I got there. Sure, she redid all of my nails then had be pay her full price again, I was surprised because I had my nails done the first time just a week and half prior to my third visit now. My nails still chipped and I gave up. I ended up going to a different place to remove the shellac from my toes and finger nails I realized one of my nails on my toe had fungus growing on it with a empty pocket. I have never had any fungus growth issues on my nails. I have been treating the nail to make sure it doesn't get any worse. I've been going here for so many years now and today is the day I decided I'm never going back here again (unless it's just a simple pedicure). first off, i had an appointment at 3 but wasn't allowed to request a specific person, just a time. Actually showed up an hour earlier anyways at 2pm, and walked out of the nail salon at 4:15 with completely different nails than I asked for. My sister and I were both cut. My sister was cut really bad to where blood was dripping down her finger and they super-glued her skin back together LOL. The "appointment" system is a joke considering that there were so many other people who came in while I was waiting who also said they had an appointment at 3..... we all had to wait so long! Plus they never told us how long the wait would be. Usually waiting around 30 minutes is okay but over an hour is ridiculous ESPECIALLY when you make an appointment. I got a fill in today and while Hang was doing my nails, one finger nail was BURNING so bad because of the acetone from the acrylic got under my nail bed. I'm so unsatisfied with it that I'm debating complaining, I'm so irritated with the fact that I have to pay for that horrible experience that resulted in uneven nails and sloppy polish. The nail technician rushed through the whole pedicure (if I had to rate her on her thoroughness I would give her a zero) not to mention how uncomfortable it is when people are taking scrub brushes and pumice stones in a reckless manner and often not even looking at what they're doing. Then there's the fact that she was on her bluetooth the entire time and when she wasn't chatting it up with her co-workers, screaming because they were halfway across the building. I will not be going here again! I went in to have shellac removed and for a regular manicure. Because I've gotten shellac removed plenty of other times, from a variety of salons, I know that the safest way to remove shellac is by wrapping your nails...NOT soaking your nails in acetone, which is how the nail tech removed the shellac from my nails. Furthermore, she started the manicure before she removed even 60% of the shellac. Throughout the entire manicure, she continued to place my nails in acetone to soak. She hardly even removed my cuticles and the polish job was horrendous. I actually ended up removing the polish as soon as I got home and re-did it myself. Funniest part... when I sat down at the nail drying station, there was a shellac-branded marketing piece that said "Shellac is easy and fast to remove! Don't peel, file, or soak. Wrap!" read more

I have been coming here for the past 5 years and it's safe to say I'll never be coming back here. I waited for over an hour while some of the nail techs sat around on their phones. I showed my nail tech a specific picture of nails I wanted, just for her to do the exact opposite. I showed her a pic of coffin shaped nails, although she said "I'm going to shape your nails round". I told her that's not what I want and she said "the picture you showed me has round nails" so I showed her the pic again to prove her wrong, just for her to say that the nails tips that she had put on me were too short for coffins. Fine. She started filing my nails VERY rough. She put so much pressure on the file that she actually broke the skin very deep. I pulled back to see that blood was dripping down my hand. I told her that I wanted her to take the nail tips off so I could leave because I was in excruciating pain, which she then told me no and proceeded to apply super glue in and on my cut to close it. After that she told me that they didn't have the color I wanted and was very rushed into picking a new color. It's been a full day and my finger still has super glue on it and is very painful! My response because I had the worst experience ever. The nail tech, an older woman didn't even pretend to do a good job, she skipped toenails like they were invisible. I had a long day, and went in to relax with a good pedicure, wrong!!! First off the water was too cold, then the water temperature was way too hot and lacked monitoring, (because the tech was running her mouth). Just like fruit flies are attracted to sweets or sugary items, the workers gathered around my tech to talk (4 of them). They were so rude, speaking in their dialect, laughing loudly as if the customers would enjoy them jesting. I asked a question to my tech to interrupt the continuous noise all around me. One of the team decided to give another team member a pedicure and sat next to me and the laughter and fast-speaking dialect got on my last nerve, so when I asked the question no one heard it, I repeated the question and my tech had the nerves to say she doesn't know English well. On the contrary, she knew enough to offer a higher-paid service after I stated what service I wanted. The loud talking and laughing distracted my tech so much that she was digging her nails into my skin too hard, clipping me with a nipper, I actually wanted to slap her and thought that perhaps I would if she clipped me again. The state should be aware of how they drop towels and tools on the floor, perhaps that would stop them from picking them off the floor and using them on the customer without proper sanitation practices. Overall, bad service, bad attitudes, and a lack of purpose. I will never return and will tell everyone I know about this place. I thought I was in the Asian Hood. It was surreal and a total lack of respect for customers. Perhaps they are getting too comfortable and lacking professionalism. read more

I was going to a nail salon on 12 Mile, but was unsatisfied with the quality of customer service as well as the half-attempt at grooming my cuticles when I went in for a fill. I decided to do some research on Yelp, and found Best Nails had great reviews. I am so happy that I took the risk of changing nail salons. Bernie was the first tech to do my nails, and I've requested her every time since. I have small nail beds and she does an amazing job of grooming them. It is $20 more than my other salon and didn't even last a week. The clear coat came off after 5 days and tips began to break. Last few times I was here I've had pretty shoddy shellac manicures. My pedicures have been done very poorly too. It didn't matter how busted their chairs were because I loved the quality of their work. What a shame, was nice to support a local business. I asked the tech for what I wanted specifically and as she was doing my nails I noticed that they didn't look how I wanted them. I mentioned this to my tech and she said she would fix them when she was shaping them - that didn't happen. My nails are not the length I wanted, the right hand is longer than the left, my nails are crooked, shorter than I wanted, and just overall are irritating my fingers and skin. For reference, I wanted a full set, coffin shaped, with regular polish. I got a full set, shellac, with janky shaping. I'm also frustrated that I paid for something I didn't want.
