Joane took her time and made sure my gel pedi was perfect...super clean, polished, and relaxing. Cindy did my full set and mani, and baby... she did NOT miss. Shape, length... everything was exactly what I wanted. The real win though? I brought my daughter, and she is very picky (like... VERY ). Cindy was so patient, listened to everything she asked for, and really communicated with her to make sure she got exactly what she wanted. That alone meant everything to me. I got a manicure the other day at this salon. Overall she did okay however it wasn't what I asked for. I asked for a coffin shaped filling for acrylic nails. She told me okay but ended up making the nails very short and they are square shaped. I was going to let it slide but she also cut my fingers, three of them. I understand they were almost closing however I felt she was rushing for her to keep cutting my fingers. Parts of the nails look like she didn't finish as well. I've only been here twice. The first time, the service and quality of work were great. Unfortunately, my second visit was the complete opposite. I was helped by a lady who insisted that I get powder nails because, according to her, my nails were thin. That isn't true, but I decided to give it a try since she assured me she would keep them thin. She did not keep them thin, and the job was done very poorly. When I asked her to redo them because I didn't like how they turned out, she became upset, removed the nail polish, told me someone else would redo my polish, and then walked away. My pedicure was also not done properly and I had to have the nail polish redone. On top of that, they only used plain water and didn't add any foot salt or anything else. The whole experience didn't seem very sanitary. I was honestly very disgusted by the behavior and lack of professionalism. There is no reason why I should have to get polish on my toes and nails redone because it was not done properly the first time and spend over two hours there because of it. It's disappointing because I thought I had found my go-to place. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and I cannot recommend this place. read more

The very BEST nails! I drive over from Manhattan Beach every two weeks and won't go anywhere else since I've found this gem of a salon. All the nail techs know how to give me a beautiful full set or fill. I love to wear my nails long & it's so hard to find very good nail techs! And the pedicures are WOW! Best Nails is my favorite nail salon in the area for many reasons. I have tried a few others in the neighborhood, and though they're not terrible, they pale in comparison to the service here. I started coming here because my old salon is closed on Mondays, and they are open Mondays here. Great for folks who work weekends! Cindy, the owner knows everyone I swear by name, she remembered me after only a few appointments. When I call, she knows which techs I would prefer to book services with! Their prices are fair/comparable with competitors, but the service is above and beyond in my opinion. The ambiance is calming and the employees get to gab and giggle, they are always laughing and it makes me have a better time! I get a gel mani or dip mani with Tammy or Jenny and the job is always fabulous. Flower gives thee best massages when I book my gel pedis with her! There are better nail salons in the area nearby. I came here for the first and last time last week. After a week, my gel nails are already chipping. They either used cheap or old products. It was my first time here, and the lady was already trying to upsell me on a pedicure. When I asked how much a pedicure was, she tried to say it was $80 for a pedicure. Right away I refused and said I wanted the basic one. After she was done doing my nails, right away she started asking for a tip, "please tip, and tip in cash" excuse me? Since when do you ask for a tip? I paid with my credit card, signed the receipt, and then I sent the tip over Venmo, and both the nail ladies would not let me leave until they received my tip on Venmo! Unbelievable and embarrassing. Since when was it mandatory to leave a tip? I wish I never left a tip for how sloppy they did and for how unprofessional the ladies were here. I will not be back. read more

I'm so elated I found this place. I was able to get myself and my mom an appointment on the day of Mother's Day too! Thankfully I called early and asked if they had availability and I was able to make one for the afternoon for both mani pedi. I was really worried because usually it's very rare for a salon to do something pretty detailed or extravagant for me at least when you show them a picture so I was really worried. What I wanted was more than ordinary. If all else failed and they said they wouldn't be able to do it I was just going to go for something simple. It's a fairly clean shop with nice pedicure chairs. There was only 4 ladies working. The previous reviews about Cindy is what made me optimistic about what the result would be. They started with my mom first and they are all very friendly. The worked on both her nails and feet while in the chair. After awhile I was next in the pedi chair and Cindy came over to work on my nails. I showed her the picture and she then showed me the options she had available. We both picked what we thought would work and she started working. She picked a color from her collection she thought would be very similar to the picture and I wish I could have asked her the name of it because I loved it so much ! They don't rush their work and she makes sure to get all the details right. Even knowing it's a busy day like Mother's Day where I saw multiple people walk in, they also accommodated them after making sure the people with appointments would show up or not. The lady doing my pedicure was nice as well and she would ask if everything was just right for me which was nice. My toes was so crusty dusty before and she made them look so nice after. I got the deluxe pedicure I think. Idk it was Mother's Day and they did the works and it was all very nice and relaxing. My skin felt soft. I was going to a concert that day hence why I went a little extra for my nails. They're all very sweet and I'll probably make this our go to place whenever I visit my family. My mother was very happy with her service too. I got gel x and gel pedicure. My mom got gel full set and gel pedicure. The only thing is I wish the menu they had for their pedicure service or whatever was a little more clear or specific. It was a bit confusing on what services you get, or it could just be me idk. Price break down: For my mom Gel full set :$51 Gel pedicure (deluxe?): $50 No design for both Myself Gel x extension with design and stones med length :$90 Gel pedicure no design (deluxe?): $51 Total: $242 With tip in total I paid $277. It is pricey yes but next time I would just do something simple. $90 for my hands for what I got is actually really good compared to San Diego where I reside. So I was very happy. read more

I have been going to Best nail & Spa for two years now. I found this place because it was located near my apartment. I moved to Mar Vista a year ago and still drive to get my nail done here. I often get designed and like to switch things up every time I come (shape, color, length) and Cindy always does an amazing job! I always get tons of compliments on my nails. They last up to 3 weeks which has never happen before I came to BN&S. I am a childcare provider and get my hands wet and dirty all the time but the set always holds up. I think most of the bad reviews are due to communication issues. I am pretty specific about what I want / like and always speak up. Cindy is always eager to please and has she said to me in the past : " you get to walked around with those. You have to love them! " and you know what she is right. This Nail Salon used to be my go-to when I lived in the area but I have moved, However, I was in the neighborhood and called 30 mins before closing and Cindy the owner told me to come right in ;). As I got there, the staff was friendly and had me seated right away. Flower began on my pedicure while Cindy did my Manicure.
