I had the opportunity to speak with Kiesha (Kie), who spent time explaining to me their COVID protocol (my inquiry) and experience. I scheduled my pre and post op visits from hip replacement with Kie and am incredibly grateful. She was very competent. She knew when to be gentle and listen to my requests and when i needed a little nudging. Building strength and flexibility after hip replacement was not an easy task, but with Kie on my side, I knew I would get back to baseline. I am most grateful for the care I received from Kie. I am also appreciative of all staff there who always greeted me with a kind hello and took care of my scheduling needs. I was bounced between different therapists, none of whom coordinated with each other or took responsibility for my care. For example, I would have wildly different exercises depending on who I saw and my at home exercises were never updated, despite making multiple requests. I unfortunately have a lot of experience receiving physical therapy for this injury and I made substantially less progress here than at other firms. In addition, despite booking out my appointments weeks in advance, the times and therapists were constantly changed at the last minute with zero notice, seemingly to accommodate new patients or just so the therapists could go home early. I never knew who I was going to see or what time my appointment would be until I got the reminder the night before or even that same day. This total lack of consideration for my schedule and time showed that they did not value me as a patient and I would never return or recommend their services.

Sarah, Jason and Chris are awesome. My muscles and nerves were a mess and they weren't responding to much but the PT's didn't give up. They tried different therapies until they found ones that worked to get everything loosened up. I loved how the session ended with a nice large hotpad for about 7 minutes. (It's different for everyone.) They are caring and you can tell they love what they do...helping people get better and have a better life. They are centrally located in the Buffington Building in Olney.

I know all of us are facing challenges that have us riddled with anxiety, depression, etc.....but it absolutely matters that a PT patient feels listened to by their therapist. I've dealt with three other physiotherapists before him, both in the U.S. and overseas and I find that Alex has an amazing talent like no other. I would describe Alex's work like an auto mechanic to a car engine, able to be in synch with one's muscles to locate the issues; having the knack for finding the right spot, performs a couple of tweaks here and there, then he is able to work on releasing the problems. I'm so impressed with his work, I believe it's a gift that only a few handful of people in this world have. A majority of physiotherapists will take up most of your appointment time in getting you to do the recommended exercises which I do at home anyway. After a few stretches and muscle manipulation which take a good 15 minutes, you are asked to do the exercises straight away even if your muscles are weak and hurting. From my experience with Alex however, he first located my problem areas of muscle adhesion by releasing the tension or knots through dry needling, pressure point massages, and compression technique followed by a hot or cold compress to your liking. Helping my muscles heal and relax first through Alex's treatmentIt was not only beneficial but it was at this point where I really started to enjoy the exercises needed without so much pain. Finally, I feel very blessed to be in good hands. So please, do yourself a favor, if you live in Clarksville or close and need a physiotherapist to help you heal in the most productive way, I would highly recommend you make an appointment with Physical Therapy First and ask for Alex Tan or Maureen!!!

They worked me and pushed me but I couldn't have asked for a better environment for my recovery efforts. Though it is a pleasant, personable and fun environment, this is still a professional group who know their stuff. They evaluated my injury and quickly came up with an aggressive plan. I had periodic evaluations and was always shown the proper care. Though my copays did add up, spending money for the service I was given was well worth it. There are a lot of Pivot locations in the area, but if you are looking for the best place for your recovery I happily recommend this location. God forbid I have another injury (torn ankle ligament and in a walking boot for almost two months) but I have the comfort in knowing I have a place to go with professionals I can trust.
