I've used this company since before COVID. They go out of their way to staff caregivers, matching their client's needs and personalities. This company gives the personal touch, is great at communicating mom's health status and needs. I live in a different state so it is important to have a company I can trust with mom (87 and just admitted to in-home hospice care). Caregivers have taken mom to doctors' appointments/urgent care/hospital keeping me posted on diagnosis, prognosis, tests/medications ordered, etc. Mom has had incredible caregivers. Most recently, Chantal was fantastic with mom on Saturday, March 8! She went above and beyond what we expected. Stayed much later than requested so mom could enjoy her only grandchild's wedding and reception. Chantal helped mom in/out of her wheelchair several times so mom could dance, always standing ready or holding mom for support. She made sure mom ate, drank, and was able to socialize with guests. Here's what I like: Prompt contact by phone and intake person when I called. No difficulty being matched w a caregiver even tho we live in a remote area. I enlisted Comfort Keepers to take care first of my dad, then my mom. Although their needs were very different (dad - cancer; mom - dementia) Comfort Keepers was able care for both of them in a very professional yet very compassionate way, from the time they got sick until the day they passed. The management team is wonderful as well. My mom was very stubborn and didn't want to be "baby sat" so she went through one caregiver after another. But Comfort Keepers kept trying, sending over youthful and energetic caregivers and older and calm ones, until finally they found one with whom my mom felt comfortable. We've used Comfort Keepers twice now, to care for our very low-functioning developmentally disabled and profoundly autistic son, while we have gone on week-long vacations. Comfort Keepers provided aides both when I was in the hospital (For three weeks) and for follow-up home support after some serious emergency surgery. The hospital had recommended a different care provider, which I won't name, which turned out to provide mostly really bad aides. Comfort Keepers was the opposite experience. Ani showed up at the hospital to meet with me to discuss my needs, and Ani and David were both helpful. Most of the aides were good or very good. One or two did not quite "click" - Ani/Dave found replacements very quickly. I've used them since for support for some more minor but significant surgeries. Highly recommended. read more

The one special thing to come to mind is how they follow-up with the doctor's office on scheduled appointments a day or two in advance to confirm appointments.
