Unfortunately, the entire experience was a huge letdown. Each time the crew came to install, something went wrong -- cracked quartzite, poorly cut cabinets (for a sink we ordered directly from them), and rough, visible seams. Despite sharing a detailed list of concerns, the owner never returned as promised. Instead, he sent different crews each time, none of whom corrected the issues. The craftsmanship was sloppy, the crews were careless, and my elderly parents were treated as if they were a nuisance. The final straw was when they failed to properly measure for the cooktop, leaving my 83-year-old father to figure out how to reinstall it himself. What started as a hopeful project turned into a stressful, frustrating mess. We chose Great Rock because the owner seemed committed and involved -- but after the first day, we never saw him again. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company. They did not deliver on their promises, their work was subpar, and their treatment of my aging parents was deeply disappointing.

Then they polished and resealed all along the backsplash. Absolutely beautiful. At the same time they are busy on the counter the other mechanic, Paul was cleaning the grout lines in our bath,foyer and kitchen. We have not seen these grout lines or floors this polished since they were new. This is a team I would absolutely recommend to do your repairs.

When it was time to pick our flooring, my husband and I went looking for a floor in our given price range. We went to Home Depot and Floor and Decor and picked out flooring that we liked. Alexis kept telling us that she had a place for us to pick out flooring and kept avoiding talking about flooring we like from other companies. Since we were into the project for approximately 8 months already due to COVID, we decided to go with her contact. We wound up picking a floor with their contact, but we're concerned about how thin the flooring was since it was going over tile that was under our original pergo We were told not to worry about it and that they would make sure that everything was done right. About a month after install, the floor started buckling. We callEd All Island to ask Jay, the owner to come take a look at the floor. He said it would cost us $7,000 to redo the floor. We explained that we had reservations about putting this thin floor in, given our circumstances and that Alexis assured us that it would be fine and they'd take care of it. Jay told us flat out that he would replace it for another $7,000. Since then the floor has been separating in many places and even sticking up. We cut our feet on it and my husband had to tape it down. Since we only looked at samples and don't know the company they got this floor from, we have no warranty on it and have to redo the entire floor ( in four rooms of my home) costing us $9,000 more only four years later. The reason we waited these few years was because we knew it was going to cost a lot to redo this floor. Now we are in the process of getting it done right at a big cost. Home Depot professions said they don't even sell less than 8mm thick flooring, but All Island installed 5mm even after our concerns. I have many pictures of this disaster. When Jay visited us, he went around our kitchen kicking the planks to close up multiple gaps. The flooring was a big part of this disaster, but there is way more that happened with the crew that was working on our project. Paint splatter on our brand new windows and screens, holes left in corners of the room, kitchen cabinet handles screwed in crooked, grout started falling out of the backsplash tiles, and I could go on. Wish they would have done right by us.

(I dare you to to tell me where the new floors begin.) Let me tell you, I am NOTORIOUS for being a demanding customer when it comes to home improvement work. So the fact that I adore Jimmy and the work he does speaks volumes about his expertise and craftsmanship. From start to finish, they literally were the best experience out of all the contractors I used during my kitchen renovation project. I stopped into Roma just because I was in the area. ( I live out east on L.I. And my son lives in Bohemia). I did a google search because I figured there had to be a granite store somewhere close. ( I was doing renovation using Lowe's which I had no complaints, you just can't pick out the actual stone to be used) The reason I was looking was to see what other options I had in tends of counter tops and because I really wanted to choose and pick the exact stone that would be used and how it will be cut. With Lowe's, you only see the sample in the store and hope for the best. I walked into Roma and that's when I met Lisa. She was so welcoming and helpful with my questions. I felt really comfortable with them. We walked the lot looking at remnants and then the full slabs, and I found exactly what I wanted. From measuring to install, everything was extremely smooth and stress free. And the pricing I felt was great as well! I was even able to go into the shop, look at my 2 slabs and then with Lisa, we taped out exactly where I wanted the stone to be cut and used for each section. This was very exciting!! Installation day was awesome as the crew came, they needed 4 guys to get my beautiful 60x108" island top into the house, lifted and placed. They were amazing! Also, we had found this beautiful piece at another store (f & d) that we wanted to use behind the oven as an accent. She gave me an amazing price to pick up the stove, cut it and get it installed! From start to finish, everything went perfectly! I highly recommend Lisa G. and Roma Granite & Marble! Check out my pics!
