Stranded out here in Springfield, called several other taxi. Couldn't even get Em to call or return a call. I call best taxi not only did they answer a call. The operator was very courteous, very accommodating. I would recommend this company for anyone needing a taxi service. My dealings with them have shown that their priorities are customer service and customer satisfaction. Best Taxi service in Claremont! I have been riding with Best for about 2 years now and I have no complaints. Their prices are fair and they are always on time and available when I need them. The biggest reason this company deserves 10 stars is : I know when I travel with BT, even if it's just down the road for a quick trip to the gas station, I am safe. I don't have to worry about a creepy driver staring at me the whole time with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. The driver trying to touch me or lean into me. Needed a 14 mile ride home to Claremont from leaving my car at the auto body shop outside of Newport. Called and made an appointment a few days ahead of time. Said I hoped to be picked up shortly after 7AM, but because they transport school children with special needs, told they couldn't get there until shortly after 9. They called me around 9:30 and said they were running late (due to it being a two hour delay school day because of snow and ice, resulting in one of their drivers needing to stay home with hers; another driver had a taxi hit by a plow). The taxi hit by the plow (the back window got blown out, but the heat was on full blast; i had on my hooded parka, hat, and gloves; no problem; life's a beach and then you dive) arrived around 10:30 and got me home promptly. $30 charge. Reasonable, considering. They advertise "$2.50 a mi (sic)," whatever that means. Still beats Uber for short trips in this rural area. Taxi clean and comfortable. A couple of days later, I called in the morning for a ride back to the shop. They scheduled me in for that afternoon. No problems. Same charge. For one these cabs are almost always LATE. You schedule for a pick up at a specific time and they are never early. They schedule rides so close together that it is inevitable with them running behind, the whole schedule gets delayed. Always a delay with them. They are short on drivers almost all the time. i will never ever book a ride this company ever again. as my boyfriend and I were leaving the movies. We scheduled for a pick up at 9. The driver was about 5-7 minutes picking us up. We were cashing out at a store next door to the movies when the driver called. Only to tell me she had left immediately after calling. Mind you she was late picking us up. Then after realizing that she left us. I called the cab company and we rescheduled for 930. At 930, texted the number to the cab (because they accept calls/texts) through the contact number. so I was texting the driver that initially left us and she said a cab would be there to get us at 930. 10 minutes pass, no can. Now my boyfriend calls, he tries to schedule a ride and someone tells him, they have already spoken to him and the driver was on the way. (even though we were together, they assumed we were together because we were calling from the same pick up location.) after arguing with him, they hang up on him. The woman that left us and that I was texting, never responded. We never got picked up and they left me on read. I believe the drivers name is Isabella. She's their worse driver. Period. Never again. Called for a ride on May 13, 2019. Eric was at my location within 5 minutes of calling requesting pick up. Car was clean, driver was extremely friendly and professional. Rates were extremely fair. Large screen shows your rate during the trip. Eric Coffman gave me a business card for future use. Upon leaving I noticed my cell phone was not in my possession as I drove to work. I called the number on the business card once I arrived at work and Eric stated he had my phone with me. My current location was 20 miles from where I was, Eric offered to bring my phone to me. I was extremely thankful for Eric finding my phone, and offering to bring my phone to me at work. I had him bring it to a location closer to where he was at the time VS driving out of his way due to my mistake. I would highly recommend Best Taxi in Claremont NH if your transportation needs. Zero Stars. Do not believe one word these people tell you. They lied to me, overcharged us, and then completely gas-lighted us. This was the most horrible taxi experience I've ever had. These are very deliberately bad people. Here is my exact initial text: "My daughter needs a ride from Middlebury College to Lebanon airport for a Noon flight." And then I even followed up in a text "Can she make a 12-noon flight?" The dispatcher responded, "Yes, he will be there by 10 at the latest, he should be there at 9:45." The airport is about a 65-minute drive. The driver showed up at 10:40. He seemed to make a decent effort but they got there exactly at noon and she missed her flight. They also demanded payment for both ways - $270, and explained that taxis always charge both ways. I was extorted and had to pay or my daughter would've had to deal with threats at the airport when she was desperately trying to catch a flight she wound up missing by less than 15 minutes. I had to rebook all of her flights which cost me an extra $700. Do you know what the worst part was? The gas-lighting. She insisted that a flight at noon means she needed to be there at noon. Nevermind that our text messages are clear, but I also followed up with a phone call and expressly stated that the flight leaves at noon and need to get there in time to board. Reputable airport taxi companies always clarify what time a flight leaves and what time you need to be there. They don't make assumptions. They clarify. Oh, when they mess up, they apologize and don't gaslight. They saw an opportunity to rip me off and didn't care about us one bit. read more
