My boyfriend and I never actually planned to stay here; however, I am so happy that fate intervened and led us to the cutest place with the absolute BEST staff. After significant car trouble left us stranded in the middle of nowhere, Sam helped us get settled in. Our room was fantastic and we got there just in time to enjoy the hot tub before it closed. The holiday decor was an added bonus that put us back in good spirits. Thank you so much for making a really terrible situation a little bit better. I will definitely be back for a planned stay.

I stayed in room 117 from 2/24-2/27. The inn is cozy. The attached restaurant is very tasty. Cute little Continental breakfast. The coffee choices of green mountain kinda suck. It's very cheap overly roasted and bitter. The room I stayed in had the absolute worst mattress. There was a HUGE depression in it where countless folks have stayed. I was able to shove half a pillow down in it. It felt like I was sleeping on a hammock. I'm surprised it hasn't been changed as I'm not that picky about mattresses. Look at the attached photos. You'll see how the edges of the made bed are much higher than the centers where people would normally sleep. I found it pretty noisy with kids yelling and screaming up above me. That's not the hotels fault but lack of saying something to those individuals is. Consider the chase house bed and breakfast up in Cornish instead. It's a bit far out but it was much quieter and the mattresses was more comfortable. The chess game with salt and pepper shakers was kinda fun.

So I stood in the Terrace Suite and all I can say is that it was absolutely marvelous. Upon checking in Ross and Catherine (front desk) were very kind and helpful. The food from their restaurant...Superb! (the filet mignon and steak tips are to die for). Lastly, the morning staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the Common Man Inn and their restaurant to everyone I know.

Stayed here last week and can't say enough about this quaint little Inn. The room was very clean, the lobby is extremely cozy and the staff there is amazing! Lead by Elisha, the Innkeeper who was super helpful and so kind, the staff is friendly and welcoming, making our stay feel like a home away from home. We can't forget the Inn kitty Clare, she is the perfect addition to this place! We will be back!

The atmosphere hits you right when you get in. This industrial look hotel is rich in history and a true charm to stay in. It was fun walking throughout the hotel reading the historical facts. Breakfast included was a big plus, especially because me and my wife needed something quick before we hit the slopes. A huge plus is that they have pet friendly rooms. Our dog had such an awesome time and we loved having her with us! Lastly, the staff is so friendly and they make you feel right at home. Highly recommended!

Went with some friends to the terrace suite and the view was beautiful. The only thing was the hot tub was not clean. All of my friends including myself felt itchy and were red which usually means it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. None the less the experience was amazing and the guy at the front desk was very helpful and polite.

Yes, it's an inn so small and a bit older, but that just adds to the cozy charm and makes it a perfect northern getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the heated bathroom floor, towel warmer, and shower jets were such a nice touch. We were even welcomed with warm cookies waiting in the room. Breakfast is included and made fresh. You choose your options ahead of time, which was great. The TV in the room is small, but it fits the cozy vibe. There are plenty of books and games in the lobby and extra room for entertainment. One small note, I'd recommend staying in an upstairs room, as some of the floorboards creak and I imagine the sound carries to rooms below. Since we were only there for a short time, we mainly interacted with Peter at the bar and he was fantastic. He even added something to my drink to make it sweeter. I would absolutely stay here again on my next Okemo trip and would love to try dinner next time too.

Knowing that I had to eat, I started my search and came across this highly rated place. As we walked in, there was a group of folks walking out with satisfied looks on their face and one gentleman said, "Enjoy your dinner" with gusto. We entered the quaint lobby and followed the signs to the dining room where we were greeted by several friendly and helpful employees. They offered us a seat at the bar while they prepared out table and I had an amazing smoked old fashioned. We were seated shortly and from there on, the evening just kept exceeding expectations. Our waiter was really exceptional. I can't recall his name but he made the night extra special. We started with spicy tuna bites where we great and a perfect size for an appetizer. I had the surf and turf special which was really great. I sampled some of my husband's NY Strip and it was also very nice. We tried to save room for dessert and I had an exceptional peanut butter bar. That was awesome. My better half had a pistachio brulee cheesecake. It had a good flavor but I thought the texture was too soft, but to be honest is was good. It just didn't meet the same level as everything else. The atmosphere the whole night was wonderful. The place as low ceilings and there were a lot of tables so I thought it might be too loud but it was perfect. The hospitality oozed warmth, every person I interacted with was lovely and we left with big smiles on our faces. If we'd run into anyone coming into dinner as we were leaving, I'm sure we would have told them to enjoy their meal as well. Highly recommend Weathersfield Inn for a meal.

We stayed for Valentine's weekend (3 nights), and it was like being welcomed into someone's mansion. The place is beautiful even in the winter snow. The accommodations are like stepping back in time, but with some modern amenities as well. The bed was a four poster antique replica with the most dreamy mattress. The in-room electric fireplace was nice within our spacious room (junior suite). Having Andy greet us every morning at breakfast was lovely, and the plated meal was delicious. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine and some food in the pub. An added bonus was entertainment one night by a talented duo. Recommendations for outside the Inn dining was provided by Andy along with some "must see things" as well. It was very nice "stepping into the historic past" at this beautiful Inn. A slow pace and a relaxing wood fire in the lobby was just what our weekend called for. We're planning to go back in warmer weather to see the grounds in all their glory and experience what other seasons have for visitors.

Breakfast was do-it-yourself based on contents of the fridge, breakfast bar and keurig coffee maker (not deluxe, but adequate). Room was large (and AC was working fine) but decor was random and impersonal. King-sized bed was very comfortable and tiled shower bathroom was clean and functional. Note that the Inn is FOR SALE (last 500 days), so this may explain lack of attention to anything more than basic accommodation. I was unable to speak to anyone in management about having a late checkin -- they only respond to email (not phone) and not promptly and not on my first attempt. This was very odd. For the price ($281, with taxes), I think it should have been a lot nicer. Town is very quiet (actually pretty dead) and many businesses appear shuttered. There is however, a lovely park at the end of the property (after the tree swing) called Paradise Park. This made for a nice walk in the morning. I was glad we discovered this on our own as the innkeepers were non-existent. Pleasant enough, but .... not exactly what I was hoping for at this price.

It's…read moredefinitely the type of place I would love to revisit during the summer while I could see the property in full bloom, though it was really beautiful covered in a blanket of snow. The estate is made up of several buildings. There is a large mansion with lots of bedrooms (I think I counted 8 at least, not including a little hidden alcove with a real-life hidden room behind a bookshelf!), most of them with private bathrooms, though not all of them including showers, and with a variety of sleeping arrangements. Some had large beds, some with bunk beds, all of them comfortable. We got a bunk bed room but the mattress was great and there were real feather pillows. This main building has a large dining space with a piano, two big fireplace sitting rooms, and a beautiful industrial size kitchen with all the things you need to cook for a crowd. The smaller buildings include a barn with several bedrooms, another smaller house with its own kitchen, and a large theater which also may have had a bedroom or two, but I didn't get a chance to look around there. All of the buildings were very well maintained, impeccably clean, and spacious for a crowd. I can see why people would have an intimate 40-person wedding or family reunion type gathering here. I did find the artwork in the main building to be interesting - lots of different styles and not all from the same period. I'm not an artist so it was more interesting to me than anything but if you're looking for something very cohesive or a certain style you might be a bit surprised. Also - lots of signage. Something about a thousand signs of Do's and Don'ts everywhere makes me worry that the ownership is overly anxious about the property, but maybe they've had big issues with boarders in the past, I don't know. We had a really fantastic breakfast prepared by the staff/curators; it was beyond opulent with fresh fruit, breakfast pastries and breads, ham and egg sandwiches, sausages, yogurt, and some sort of a breakfast pasta that really made me go HRMMM to look at but when my husband convinced me to give it a try I was humbled by how tasty it was. Tasted like... breakfast pasta. Ha! That evening, the staff made an amazing bonfire out on the grounds, complete with warm blankets, Ghirardelli s'mores, hot cocoa, and truffled popcorn. As we were wrapping up for the night out there, suddenly there was a fireworks show that even our event organizer for the weekend didn't know about. Very lovely and unexpected. My one BIG issue that I wish could be addressed was the navigation issues in getting there. For the most part, people had no problem driving there, but my husband and I used Google Maps and Apple Maps to navigate there on both our phones and not only is the cell service practically nonexistent up there in the mountains, both of those apps took us to what felt like the middle of nowhere on rural unpaved, streetlight-less roads. This happened to a couple other members of our party as well. It actually took us an extra hour of driving around anxiously in the dark trying to find the place and to several dead end and unplowed roads. The website itself doesn't give any clear directions to the estate, though it does give coordinates for flying your personal helicopter there... I don't have that option these days, though. :)

Stacy is militant about cleanliness. And being personally part of the cleanup crew I can attest to the job we did after the wedding. However Stacy dug into the trash and found cigarette butts and charged the bride $150 PER BUTT to the tune of several thousand dollars. In the middle of the reception. The inappropriately dressed staff kept the brides mother from entering the main house to use the bathroom. She's 95. He found a leaf in the hot tub and charged her for cleaning the tub. Which, if you're a respectable establishment. You should be cleaning that anyways, between EVERY guest's stay. Several times in the lead up to the event Stacy threatened to cancel the event leading to multiple breakdowns - emotional, not automotive. He maintained a persistent presence in the house during the stay of the bridal party, which was annoying. The bride and groom have been in a protracted battle with Stacy to get their security deposit back. The bride just wants it to be over. The unfriendliness of the staff, the rules imposed, considering the exorbitant price paid - tens of thousands of dollars. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
