Okemo is a well-run mountain with some of the most efficient parking and shuttle systems I've experienced. Getting from the lot to the lifts is seamless, which makes for a great start to the day. The mountain itself is solid, with well-maintained trails, but lift lines can get backed up at times. The main lodge could use more seating, and there should be stricter enforcement of people leaving their gear on tables when they're not actually there--it can be frustrating trying to find a spot to sit. Unfortunately, my experience on the slopes wasn't ideal. I'm in my second season of skiing and was warming up on Dream Weaver when I was completely taken out by a group of snowboarders. I have no bias against snowboarders (I snowboarded for 15 years before switching to skiing), but if you have the skill level to straight-line down a green, you should at least attempt to control your speed and be mindful of those still learning. What made it worse was that they didn't even stop to check if I was okay--just got up and kept going. Thankfully, I only ended up with some bruises and my skis being shot about 20ft from my body, but this kind of reckless behavior seems to be happening more often. I reported it to ski patrol and hope they take action. I don't even want to think of what could've happened if it was a child and not an adult being hit like that. Overall, Okemo is a great mountain with a lot to offer, but they need to do more to address safety concerns and ensure that higher-skilled riders respect those still learning.

Found a cockroach in my bed I was about to lay down so nasty

L condos, dishes were dirty. L skibidi rizz. Skibidi toilet skibidi skibidi toilet, the condos suck. Dishes were dirty, don't trust the condo it might be full of disease. In the bathroom a big nasty rat ran right past me it spooked me. There are also cockroaches roaming around and filth everywhere. The heating system was shit I was freezing all night, and also the runs are full of dirt patches and they are bad at keeping good snow condition.

For our fist ski trip of the 2021 season, we decided to go to Okemo (our first trip to the resort) and I'm happy to report that it was the best decision ever. We usually start off the season at Stowe but I'm so glad we switched it up this year, the MLK weekend skiing at Okemo was nothing short of perfect. First things first, the whole skiing experience is quite different this year. We had to reserve our ski days on the epic pass, make reservations in advance to dine at on-mountain restaurants and the lift lines were a little slower than you would expect. However, these are minor inconveniences compared to what Okemo offered. We collected our rentals from the rental shop at Jackson Gore Inn and it was the smoothest experience ever. We were in and out of the rental shop within 10 minutes. Our gear was all ready and labelled in advance just waiting for us. Talk about impressive! The terrain and snow conditions were spectacular and most of the beginner and intermediate terrain was open which helped in the dispersion of crowds. The staff was patient and friendly and did their best to enforce the covid rules/precautions while still making sure that people can get the most out of their ski day. The mountain itself is beautiful. I'm more of a cautious skier and I always thought that Killington and Stowe are the best places to find good conditions and nice groomers in VT but after visiting Okemo I realised how wrong I was. Okemo is easily the most beginner/cautious skier friendly mountain on the east. There is a wide range of easy (green/blue) terrain all over the mountain and you'll not get bored even if you ski for 3-4 days straight. Another thing I wanted to mention is the ease of using the epic mix app. You can use the app to see what trails are open, monitor lift wait times and make restaurant reservations. It made the whole experience so much smoother. Seriously, if you're not using epic mix to plan your day at Vail resorts, you're probably wasting a lot of time that could have otherwise been spent on the slopes. I seriously cannot wait to go back. Thank you, Okemo!

First trip of the season, the runs here are perfect. They're pumping the runs they have open with fake snow, got up there first thing this morning. Freshly groomed, barely anyone was here. Practically had the mountain to my self, got to the base and had a nice meal. Kitchens open with a couple of Georgia boys whipping up some really good food, getting back out there tomorrow. Definitely recommend this resort.

I haven't gone skiing in like 20 years so I decided to take beginner lessons for the day. I had such a wonderful experience. Rentals were flawless. My instructor Sue was fabulous. They have such great staff working here that I felt so comfortable and not judged. My cost for 2 lessons (4 hours total), lift ticket, and equipment came out to $181. This was worth the experience and I would highly recommend this ski resort. The have so many trails and I hope to return to check more out!

This is my favorite skiing in the north east. Vail makes a clean, modern ski experience and Okemo is no exception. Everything is clean and slick. Best of all? So much skiing! Asides from the 6x lift, you'll rarely wait in line. The trails are huge and lifts are everywhere. Wish I could go tomorrow!

We booked a private ski lesson for our 14 year old daughter. She is a strong skier who has been skiing for a decade but she wanted to work on her form and technique. Her lesson was with Tim and he was FANTASTIC. He has worked at Okemo Mountain for 30 years and is an expert skier. His instruction was spot on and her form improved tremendously in just the 1/2 day. He was fun, knowledgeable and able to make our teenager have fun and learn new skills. Expensive but worth every penny - book your lesson with Tim, he was terrific!

And this year was THE YEAR to hit up Vermont for skiing b/c they got more snow than they've gotten in almost a decade--so the skiing was the best east coast skiing I've experienced ever! And, if you're in Vermont skiing, you must drop by Main Mountain Bar & Motel. We weren't staying there as motel guests, but we heard that Main Mount was the place for fancy cocktails... and whoever told us this information was spot on!! Every cocktail we tried at Main was unique and super tasty. My favorite was the Good 'Ol Boy cocktail, but I also recommend the New England Sour--it's like a Whiskey Sour but with Mulled Wine and Cocoa on top. As for atmosphere and service, both are great! The interior decor is more like a cozy (but slightly modern) mountain house library (an atmosphere you might expect in a hip Brooklyn bar), and it's very inviting! And the bartender and servers are amazing and really friendly. As for food, we didn't try any on the first visit, but we ended up going back to Main Mountain on our last night of the trip b/c we found out that, on Sundays, they host a burger night! Ummm... yes!!!! So, we went back, I had another Good Ol' Boy, and we downed some yummy Smash Burgers and French Onion Mac & Cheese! Oh, and PLEASE order a side of their pickles! They are life-changing! Bottom line = check out this bar if you are in Ludlow, Vermont for skiing at Okemo or just visiting for some other reason. You are sure to love it like we did.
