Was driving home from work and picked up a large bolt in my tire. Driving a Tesla I do not carry a spare. I had not started losing air yet, but I was due to travel that evening. Now a days it's hard to find a place that doesnt take advantage of you. I know generally when your in a better area, the services will charge more because the area is not ghetto. But i called Best Value on a sat, and were only charging $30 bucks a tire to swap with the tires i bought online, i was shocked. Most places i had called before were charging between 50-60 a tire. When i arrived, there front office was nice, they provided complimentary drinks and even a charging station for your devices. While i was there they did an alignment and the price was very fair for my tundra. In the end i was there for about 90 mins and that was with 2 other people ahead of me. To make a long story short, Tesla quoted me $580 for the repair, and I had to wait a day for them to confirm the appointment. However, Best Value tire was able to order the tire and replace within the afternoon, charging me $120 less than Tesla's quote. I also got quotes from several places, including Big O Tires and other local shops, but this business offered the most competitive price and fast turnaround for a specialized tire. I rarely leave Yelp reviews, but I feel this is warranted. The TPMS light on my car came on due to a screw in my rear driver's side tire and I went to Best Value Tire and Wheel because they are conveniently close to my office. The gentleman told me it would be repairable after showing him the same photo attached to the review and said it would take about 15 mins. I paid the $25 to get it done (as shown in the attached screenshot). It ended up taking about 30 mins (not the issue, as things can get in the way). The very next day, the TPMS light comes back on and I check my tires--only to find THE SAME SCREW IN THE SAME TIRE. As shown in the screenshot, I had to get rear drivers side tire patched at Sam's Club because it wasn't ever done in the first place. The tech said there were no existing patches in the tire. I'm not going to die over the $25 I paid, but the principle of this entire situation is so wrong. What did I even pay for? Why was my car there for twice as long as estimated? I don't get it. I recently purchased a set of tires and rims. Had my original tires transfer to the set of new rims. Told the installer that I still want the set of TPMS sensors. He said no problem. At the end of the installation, he tells me that my set of rims do not have TPMS sensors. I am sure he took them to resale. Bunch of crooks and shady technicians. My husband has been needing new tires for awhile. He has been complaining that everywhere he looks online, either the selection sucks or the prices are too high. Turns out, I work right next to this place! I drive by it every day and just finally noticed some banners they had on Lakeview that said something about TIRES. Not sure if those banners were always there, but they definitely caught my eye a few weeks ago. So I told him about Best Value, he hadn't heard of them. He text me yesterday, "I'm going to that place by your work for tires." He went there around 3pm, and they were nice enough to drive him home! Not sure if that is a regular service, or cause we live a mile from them, but either way, super nice of them! He text me around 4 and asked when I was leaving work. I said in a bit, but I had errands to run. He asked, "do you think you can be home before 5 to take me to get my car?" Then he text me a few minutes later, "never mind, they are coming to get me!"
